Groves fought a valiant fight but obviously never bothered his arse to watch the Taylor v Froch fight ,he left nothing in the tank for the latter stages of the fight and it cost him dearly , froch would of stopped the kid in that round within 30 seconds of the ref issuing a standing count as a

Froch is running from the rematch. Shocking. How can Froch retire and be proud of his legacy without doing it again wiith George and beating him without any controversy next time? I think Carl was about to stop Groves but the referee still stopped it 5-seconds too early. Carl, you have to do the rematch.

Whatta you saying? That Groves could still have won?

Froch was just about to knock him out. Have a look again. Groves was hurt, and Froch was gonna finish him.

IMO Groves was winning. There are different periods on action in all fights. Froch had better success in rd 8 and 9 but hardly dominating. Groves was always in the fight and his right hand was unstoppable. If the fight had continue i belive Groves had the better chance to win it.

If Groves was not gassed, then he could easily make it as an Academy Award actor/

If Groves wasn’t hurt, he gave a very good impression of someone who was. A rematch will take place and I believe that Froch will take Groves out by TKO mid to late rounds.

especially as they only fight twice a year at best and just the 12 rounds, not 15…

You can tell groves has been in the david haye camp for too long when he comes out with revisionist bullcrap like this.To say Froch was on his last legs and Groves was letting Froch hit him to gas out is hilarious.Groves was the one who was gassed, and badly, due in no small part to the big bodyshots Froch had been landing, but which everyone seems to be ignoring.Groves will also probably say that his head was clear,he wasn’t at all hurt, and was just playing possum, just about to unleash a nuclear right hand on Froch to finish him, when the ref leapt on him,to save Froch from his first knockout defeat…lol…take it like a man George, that crying was embarrassing to all Brits.

WHAT!?!

Groves was done with 3 rounds still to fight and no amount of sooking will give him a ‘W’ on his record. Groves, go and fight Bika, a fight you should win but will probably get stopped late due to Bika’s non-stop stalking and you being gassed again.

Overated

We are lucky that ref from Saturday wasn’t in charge in the rumble in the jungle otherwise Ali’s legacy would be a lot different today.

Groves was winning, but to me he was the one gassing out. Froch was coming on strong and from what I saw Carl might have edged the fight down the stretch and quite possibly have legitimately stopped George had the referee not incorrectly, hastily, sadly pulled the plug when he did. Good fight!
