they all make keep on about how good lacy was before calzaghe beat him. he was a poor fighter before that and got a lucky decision win over omar sheika. in a fight lacy should of lost so stop keeping on about tha jc win over lacy. when it was coming the moment he got in the ring with anyone world class fighter.

Would the pre-Calzaghe Lacy have needed to have gone life and death to scrape a points win Peter Manfredo? Absolutely not, Jeff wud hav bashed him up inside 5 or 6 rounds. … A prime Lacy wud hav been a tough match up for many recent alphabet champs at 168: Froch, Bute, Abraham, Steiglitz …50/50 fights IMO…

Yeah, Jeff Lacy, the next US all-time great who got schooled by Joe Calzaghe. I actually felt sorry for him after that fight, took all and everything out of him.

this guy is a straight up street fighter, NOT a boxer! He simply needs a check!

Auggie- no kidding. He had no desire to get in close and stop the fight. Not only that, in the beginning he tells them “congratulations, you’re on the main event”
I’m sure lacy was elated ref…

WHAT!?!

“Sail out of his Wings”. Funniest comment I’ve seen for a while. Possibly Calzaghe took the ‘wind out of his sails’.

The only thing less impressive than Lacy here was the refereeā€™s stopage”

Damn was it that bad I am going to see if it’s on all the best fights.
I am a big Jeff Lacy fan I wonder does he still have that white chick now that he’s broke?

It’s called being handpicked to make your opponent look good.

Amazing to watch this fight, as you have in there a boxer who whilst can move can not throw a single proper punch. Every shot thrown by Martin Verdin was an arm punch with absolutely no weight behind it. How does a guy get into a competitive boxing match without the ability to punch!

Another yanky bum
