This is not a debate. EVERYBODY that is not a little floyd fan knows that LF is afraid of Pacquiao. little floyd fans feel they have to make excuses for little floyd.

Tha Latest Excuse. Arum.

If you keep punching you’re going to get lucky… You don’t hit a homer every time you swing the bat.. Marquez was taking his cuts.. Roach should have warned him, “He’s looking for the KO shot.”

Pacquiao was aggressvely looking to hurt Marquez.. JMM was looking to end it.

Tachyon: Manny don’t need Floyd to pay bills… After Tim Bradley robbed Manny then outclassed Juan Manuel Marquez, a rematch with Bradley or a fight with say shawn porter or Broner or Maidana, whomever wins their fight tonight, is all Manny needs to pay all his bills and then some! Particularly Bradley… Floyd would just be icing on Manny’s legacy cake… Basically, Manny’s chance to cement his greatness, by proving Floyd is just a good but cherry-picking, overrated conman. And Manny would get a huge payday, to boot.

Landed more on the gloves. Anyways he lost. The fight will happen at some stage, unless manny losses again in his next few fights? Bradley ll or Garcia? Stepping in with Rios is not the ideal warm up 4 fighting Floyd. 1 fight in 12 months would also work against him. Floyd is always working out fight or no fight. Like it or hate Manny does need atleast 1 more fight under his belt b4 getting the best paid lesson out there. Il be there.

Looking at punch stats means nothing. I though Pac beat Bradley but it was still close and he didn’t land many punches against Bradley

Auzbox…..check out the punch stats Bradley vs Manny. Robbed JMM in the 3rd fight. And y wouldnt he try 2 get a middleweight title? Old school wait classes, lightweight, welterweight, middleweight title holder has a nice ring 2 it. Making history is a good enough reason dont you think?

Why not smply fight Pacquiao.. as simple as that. You’re damaged damn champion already by avoiding Pac. Don’t you want to be revered champion with legacy untainted by cowardice? Did I cherry pick even in my old age? But no worry you’re still my champ.

And after the Marquez fight Pac did complain and say Marquez was on something. That is why he said boxing needs better testing now as opposed to when Flys was asking him to take the test. But instead of saying no he came up with several excuses that all of y’all bought. Now that he has done those same testing a with Floyd it means all those excuses he came up with where exactly that, excuses so he didn’t have to fight Floyd

Like Pac did to Marquez after he was hurt by Marquez in the 3rd? So then you are saying Pac was on something too cause he recovered to quickly.

Peej what about the instant recovery there are different levels of being hurt and Marquez went from doing one extreme to Pac to the other. That was like the one year Brady Anderson hit 50 homeruns for those who know baseball. Dude pretty much went from 15 homers to 50 in one year then back to 15 lol.

And all Pac had to do was take the test that he wouldn’t agree too but came up with many excuses. And let’s see the same Pac accused Marquez of upswing PEDs too. It’s ok for Pac to accuse someone with no proof but not allowed for anybody else.

You don’t want a guy like Ariza in your camp… The guy’s a bum… He’s a charlatan who doesn’t know what to take and not to take… It was his job to make sure Rios tested clean and bring him in on weight and in shape… He did NONE of it.

The Rios people only hired him to piss off Pac and Roach… But they were more confident than ever fighting Rios — since his camp was dumb enough to hire Ariza they knew they would win easier.

Old Coot is just a Floyd hater. Came in here saying Marquez was on something because of his conditioning coach. Old Coot they build that stadium yet that what the cause of the last round of negotiations that stopped the slaughter from happening?

Posted December 14, 2013 6:11 pm

Tark: Yes Floyd did… It started with Floyd Sr. after calling Freddie, “Freddie the joke coach, Roach” and getting his ass handed to him with Hatton… Out of spite and after Camp Floyd heard about what happened with blood testing before Pacquiao lost to Morales, Camp Mayducker, hatched this blood-test scheme based on Manny’s then new-found superstition, about taking blood tests right before a fight, after he blamed it for that loss to Morales…. THAT’s why Floyd demanded he take them right up until the figth! Because he knew it would mess with Manny’s head if he agreed, or would refuse outright… Which is what he did… Then you clowns can accuse him of hiding something for refusing… CLASSIC BS!!!

Brandon Ruos failed his post fight drug test. This shows why Pac is willing to take the random testing now. Ariza not being in his camp and all of a sudden he is willing to take them test. Now we know why he didn’t want to take the randome testing when he was in his camp. Terrible

I will NOT say Broner deserves a shot at Floyd no matter how impressive he looks against Maidana… He has to beat somebody like Danny Garcia, Lucas Matthysse, or even Shawn Porter, in impressive fashion, before he’s one of the 4 or 5 last people to try to beat Floyd.

Posted December 14, 2013 5:38 pm

However… I would settle for Floyd fighting Pacquiao or Danny right now.

Lara can tune up with a couple more master-class victories while he waits to get the recognition he deserves… He would be tough on Floyd. Tougher than anyone else out there at 147-154.

Posted December 14, 2013 5:32 pm

My position on Canelo-Trout never changed. My scorecard never changed.

Trout landed more punches and my scorecard had him winning 7 rounds… Canelo did more damage with his fewer shots and that’s what impressed the judges… It was a close fight, not a run-away like they had it.

Lara beat Trout, not only with harder punches, but with many MORE punches… That’s very difficult to do against somebody of Trout’s caliber… Lara is coming on — and only an idiot like YOU can’t see it.

He needs to get a Floyd fight because he’s the best opponent out there for Floyd… Not because he’s the most hyped fighter of the century like Pacquiao.

Yes, PAC too but he won’t admit it. They should fight other fighters and PAC should fight some more stiffs and win to bring back all of those casual PAC fans because when PAC got knocked out they were all gone. The fight should happen on Mayweathers last fight.

As far as Marquez winning only 1 of 4 fights with Pacquiao??? … That was a lottery shot… Every once in a while somebody gets all 6 numbers right and wins the lottery… Happens a lot because there are lottery winners somewhere in the world every day … Marquez had his day.

The only thing I’ll say about Packman is this. He beats the hell lout of a guy and everyone is cheering about now, he and Mayweather can” get it on ” . Furthermore, one on the alphabet sanctioning bodies makes him a mandatory challenger to Mayweather ‘s crown, OK, that’s great too, I guess. …But the thing no one wants to admit, is that the guy the mighty, invincible Packman beat was a nobody, a bum, a grade B fighter , an illusion of someone thinking and acting and even learned how to trash talk about his opponent (Pacquio ) an impostor, a con, a patsy,a Bilco artist or wherever else you want to call that fool… BUT no one says anything. Before Packman won that one sided carnival side show, he lost 2 previous fights , one in which he got KO’d and he was out cold for a while, ( a very scary sight indeed) the other, he lost to a slickster, Bradley. So, when you take all that into consideration , what do we really have ? A FARCE, that s what !! … PEACE … Boxing dictionary.com .. . “The Language of the Ring”

Fact is you will NEVER see Pacquiao at Jr MW because he’s not viable there, too small and too high contact… Rios and Canelo are NOT close to the same fighter or threat level…
No ones ever billed Alvarez as “a punching bag” a notion that Rios after being embarrassed felt he had to refute post Pacquiao (unsuccessfully) we all know he’s Valedictorian of the Antonio Margarito school of defense… HAHAHAHAHA!!

Canelo would destroy Rios, he does not need to be fleet of foot in order to do a paint job on Rios who looks like he’s on his way down the hill… Rios was best at 135 and has had mixed results at 140, just lost EVERY round at 147… Trying to sell him as a competitive fight for Canelo is just the typical BAD ESB satire against Canelo, Rios would be getting hit with BOMBS and Alvarez is a bigger puncher at Jr MW than PAC who had Rios buzzed… Rios has peaked, Canelo still has a bright future..

Rios according to reports took a mild stimulant that’s sold over the counter as a dietary agent likely to make weight.. Hidalgo, “if Canelo was a true WW Manny would beat him” well fact is that he is NOT a WW and if they fought I would give the advantage to Canelo in large part due to his physical advantages which was my original point… I don’t think Pacs good above 147 and would simply be overwhelmed in a scrap with solid boxers at tha weight… James Kirkland would be too much, and his skills are not on par with PAC Mans…

Pacquiao should face Mayweather and maybe the Bradley rematch, and retire. Maybe to the Bradley rematch because I think Bradley is damaged. The concussion he suffered during the Provodnikov fight had him experiencing frequent headaches and effected his vision, speech, and balance for 5 months after the fight. So why risk being the one that could cause him permanet damage.

Hidalgo I agree man I’d like to see that matchup. Canelo can box but doesn’t have the footspeed to completely outclass Rios. Canelo has shown the power he’s sold as having either so it’d be an entertaining war.

Posted December 14, 2013 1:21 pm

Hidalgo

REM, Pac would box circles around Canelo just like he did against Rios. I wish Rios could carry a little more weight and still be in top shape. I think he’d be a tough bout for Canelo.

Posted December 14, 2013 1:00 pm

REM

With Canelos inability to pressure he’d be in deep trouble fighting a boxer with Pacs toolkit. Canelo would look like Oscar or Cotto against Pac badly beaten up while have trouble consistantly laying any leather on the far superior athlete and boxer. Canelo hasn’t fought anything close to Pac besides Floyd and history tells us Pac would win more impressively than Floyd did.

Posted December 14, 2013 12:33 pm

Hidalgo

As far as whether Pac could deal with Canelo “at this point” the fight’s not going to happen because Canelo is just too big. Manny no longer fights at jr. middleweight and he hasn’t since he beat Margarito. So you’re suppositions are really not worth a darn.

But like I said, if Canelo was a true welterweight, Manny would handily beat him. Before, now, or later. There’s no “dent” in Manny’s chin that would prevent that.

Posted December 14, 2013 12:32 pm

Hidalgo

SRedmond, if Canelo was a true welterweight and only fought at welterweight, Manny would beat him. What Canelo is at present is a 172-175 lb. “jr. middleweight,” when he’s not being hindered by catchweights. Pacquiao would box circles around him.

Posted December 14, 2013 12:30 pm

Hecdog

Manny Pacquiao would destroy Canelo. I see a brutal stoppage around the 8th or 9th round. Manny will have Canelo reaching and missing all night. The straight left hand will drop him for the 10 count. Canelo will ahve serious problems against the legendary Manny Pacquiao.

Posted December 14, 2013 12:27 pm

SREDMOND

Pacquaio could not deal with Alvarez at this point he’s just too small and his chin was dented by Marquez who lost to the other top WW’s he fought Bradley and Mayweather… Anyone who thinks that Canelo is Brandon Rios does NOT know boxing.. Alvarez can fight and being smartly outclassed by FMJ has resulted in the customary and illogical downgrade of his skills… Mannys amazing but he’s not a guy who can compete well at Jr MW, closest he came was the shopworn Margarito at 150 who was a NOBODY at JR MW…. Roach and Co would never put Manny in the ring with a solid Jr MW and I can see why…

I agree the only way this fight happens is if Pac dumps Arum, why he hasn’t done so until now beats me cause this crook has swindled him bad.Pity that he along with his fans are too dumb to see it.

Guys below said “Pacs a blowup WW and over the hill” so then why do you wanna see the OLDER Mayweather fight him??

Posted December 14, 2013 12:00 pm

@auzbox – actually canelos people ask for 152. Big floyd wanted the fight at 147. Dan rafael boxing guru and reporter confirmed this. Its cool you a pac fan. But dude u not keeping it real! In sept when floyd outboxes pac i hope dudes like u n hecdog dont kill yourselves when pac loses!

Manny Pacquiao will have to leave TR in order to get the fight that may help put his finances back in order Floyd Mayweather would defy God himself if it meant putting a wood nickel in Bob Arums pocket… Mayweather has inserted himself as tops in the sport holding belts in 2 weight classes, record breaking events and Top P4P status While the Pacquaio machine has hit a rough patch, I’m sure Mayweather enjoys seeing Arums experiment in China tank and knows that the only really Big fight out there for Manny is FMJ… Marquez seems to be committed to not jeopardizing the historic win he booked and wants revenge against Bradley who had him
Missing and looking Old…The bleating of Fans will not be enough in this instance there will have to be a defection on Pacs part because these companies show NO SIGNS of working on ANY bout let alone PAC Man vs Mayweather

Mayweather says skills pay the bills but forgets fans pay to see the skills so he can pay his bills.

When PAC fight floyd there will be no excuses weights will be right and happy unless floyd fight a weak fat khan then there be issues obviously because khan is a bum

Posted December 14, 2013 6:09 am

Auzbox

Pacman beat all may opponent in better fashion. And as for canelo at 152 it was may that chose that, and as got odh he wanted that fight for the pay day so he drained himself not manny fault

Assbox??? Come on and sprout more of your emotional rhetoric. Lol

Posted December 14, 2013 5:23 am

Oh.. and Hatton, good win for Pac. After Mayweather tho. And after then May fight Hatton, openly admitted he was emotionally crushed and mentally damaged.

Posted December 14, 2013 5:22 am

Assbox its cool you are a Pac fan GREAT but dont make it out like he is a god of boxing. That he isnt

Posted December 14, 2013 5:17 am

Assbox. . Would Pac even fight Canelo at 152… ?

Posted December 14, 2013 5:11 am

itsthetweet

Cotto, yes tougher for May at 154 than Pac at 145. That sentence speaks for itself. Pac wouldnt even fight Cotto at 150 LOL

Posted December 14, 2013 5:09 am

itsthetweet

Marquez??? Do we need to go there LOL.

Posted December 14, 2013 5:04 am

Mosley…Pacs team woulnt touch him after he beat ‘plaster hands’. He was said to be “too dangerous and to good”… Once May beat him, he became open game Lol

Posted December 14, 2013 5:03 am

itsthetweet

Joshua C.. LOL, and he came clean stating he was given a bonus for not fighting back and not trying to win FACT . He admitted it openly and he wasnt sued, it pretty much was swept under the rug. IMO he was given more $] to drop the topic

Posted December 14, 2013 4:57 am

itsthetweet

Assbox, lets take this slow…ODH fought May at 154, Pac fought him at a weight lower than 147 whule ODH was using IVs to train because he starved down to make weight. A weight he hasnt fought at in a few years.

Posted December 14, 2013 4:52 am

Auzbox

And don’t forget manny had to weight his pockets to make weight in first fight so he is lighter than may anyway

Posted December 14, 2013 3:45 am

Manny got hurt fighting a fight he should of changed, don’t argue with greatness they both great and I only 1 should come out with a win

Posted December 14, 2013 3:43 am

Void is afraid he might get hurt! LOL!

Just like Pacquiao being Ko’d by the 40 year old Marquez for the fighter of the decade belt it will not effect Pacquiaos legacy nor will Floyd fighting Pacman.

@urone2 – preach!!!

I can’t hold back on this one. People write about Pacquiao a if all of his fight were not contracted for him to win. When the contract could not be manipulated for him (Marpuez) he didn’t look as well. Osca larios gave Manny all he could handle after he had benn KO’d by Vasquez. Let be real here and stop with the nonsense, Manny is good how good we don’t really know because of catch weights and rehydration clauses. These have been a common factor in almost all of Manny’s welterweight fight. If not those its fighters moving up in weight. For any one with an ounce of common sense these things would make you think what are we really seeing here. So I as what have we really been witness to in viewing Manny al of these years. Honestly ask yourself this question. Be a boxing fan not the fan of a boxer.

Floyd is a no win situation. If he bets pac. Haters will say pac is past him prime. Even though floyd himself will be 38 and past him prime also. If floyd loses his legacy is destroyed! Whats funny is floyd n pac pretty much fought the same dudes! Except floyd beat jmm easily! I thought jmm coulda won all 3 proir fights w pac before the k.o.

The legend Cotto was offered a 10 mil minimum to fight Canelo. In your face Cheater Margarito. I bet the cheater knows the he lost and eye for what he did to Cotto.

Posted December 14, 2013 1:34 am

KILLA

Cheater Margarito took a couple of fights out if Cotto. The fight was brutal. Margarito fighting with plaster in his hands. Karma is a b**tch and he retire with one good eye.

Posted December 14, 2013 1:31 am

Don’t go on about catch weight same as may did for canelo why should PAC have to come up dela Hoya wanted the fight not manny so weight was up to him

Posted December 14, 2013 1:18 am

KILLA

I think is best for Floyd to stat away from Manny. Pacman is on his beast mode. He probably stop Floyd in the 7th round. If I was Floyd I rather let people and critics write “what if Floyd had fought Paquiao” than “Paquiao KO Floyd” we knew all along Paquiao was the best. Floyd is set has $$, the power to pick and choose who to fight NEXT why in the world risk all the money that is coming in the next two years to prove a point. Not worth it!!Floyd keep beating those cows from Golden Boy Promotions and retired undefeated my brother!!!! Fck Boxing promoters and networks who are fcking the whole game. Floyd is a very smart guy!!

Posted December 14, 2013 1:17 am

murderman

I meant floyd beat both at 154. Odh was a beast at 154! Cotto is a beast as well especially if he isnt weight drained. Oh and pac turned down rematch w cotto at 154. Pac ask for another catchweight fight at 145! Surprise surprise!

Posted December 14, 2013 1:05 am

murderman

I woulda like to see pac fight odh at 154. Odh wouldnt been weight drained and the fight may have been different. Also had he fought cotto at 154 that fight coulda bern different. Floyd fought both guys at 154, their best weights and both. Also beat a 170lb canelo on fight night. Something i doubt pac could do. I do give pac props as being boxing’s only 8 division champ. Thought i may as well mention it before hecdog does! Lol

I have to say at this stage in each fighters career I also would say this is a pick em fight. Howeber I am giving Pacquiao the mental edge. Why? The man has lost already. Three times by ko. He KNOWS what it feels like and like the throw back warrior that he is he accepts that reality. It has not fazed him at all. He actually appears to improve after a loss to a certain extent. Taking a punch does not deyer nor intimidate him. A lot like Roberto Duran in that regard. His rival is another story. He eats, sleeps amd breathes the philosophy , I MUST NOT GET HIT AT ALL COSTS. Not a bad thing. Defense is a must. Yet he has plaved such a premium on it to the point where his offense suffers to a degree. He is very, bery wary of the incoming. I suspect just like his uncle and his father he may be abit chinny. Mosley, an old Mosley, rocked him with a DECENT.rigjt cross. I’ve seen Mosley throw harder shots than that in his prime. That one moment stays in my mind. He was very fortunate to get out of that round. If Pacquiao catches him, which he certainly can and will do at some point it will be curious to see how he reavts to that. Pacquiao has been there and done that. Well my friend here’s hoping the fans get what they want . Better late than never as they say. Peace soldier.

By cloud I mean he may go down as one of 20 greats but if he beats manny could be top 10 or even 5

Spart 65 I just feel it has to happen or it’s going to be a dark cloud over mayweather, I really think its a 50/50 fight but I’m a manny head but in saying that I think floyd will grind out the win yet still it’s prob one of 2 fights I want to see

Auzbox im glad you pointed that out. Pacquiao DID beat Cotto IN HIS PRIME. As for Hatton he was exposed by Luis Collazo where he was put on VERY shaky legs at the midway point of their clash. Hatton was supposed to shine but that moment gabe me serious reservations about Sir Ricky. His fighting either Junior or Pacquiao to me was a case of pick.your poison. Pacquiao steamrolled Hatton and Junior took him out into deep waters then drowned him. Of course Pacquiao had the better performance of the two. oHoweber Pacman/Mayweather? Don’t see it happening. Three years too late. Cheers soldier.

If mayweather really wants to be great he would fight PAC in a garage cause its the only thing that will be remembered next to his name, it’s a great match up and it’s gotta happen

Its tweet your an idiot he whipped cotto and stopped him in his prime may couldn’t, dela Hoya whipped hatton in two, sick of dic k heads like you

Good evening. Though I have very serious doubts as to this TEASE of a bout ever taking place, money talks. One can truly never say never. I must say the writer has some real valid points here and im sure he will draw some intense criticism and harsh objections to what he has stated here. Particularly in regards to Mayweather senior and his at times buffoonish comments and equally laughable logic. Time will tell. Cheers.

There is going to be a lot of disappointment. If the fight happens Pac is not even going to put up that great of a challenge IMO… Believe me his most challenging fights were against people that are nowhere near Mayweather’s level :-)

Posted December 13, 2013 11:40 pm

Never going to happen. Mayweather is running scared. Manny Pacquioa always goes to fight in the US and Mayweather will never go to China to fight Pacquioa. You can never underestimate the only 8 division boxing champion in boxing history. Margarito, Clottey and every boxer Manny’s ever fought has been physically bigger than Manny Pacquiao. Not Danny “Swift” Garcia and not even GGG. Manny is the most gifted boxer in history. Floyd is not. He is so scared to fight his mandatory which is Manny but never lose hope Manny just may win a 9th division title. Don’t be surprised.

This fight will never happen, Pac will not fight in the USA, since the IRS will be waiting for him. That’s why he’s fighting in China. The tax evader needs Mayweather. Don’t do it Mayweather. Don’t even give him a loan. The US doesn’t need Pacquiao or his Filipino fans, China can have them.
