@love @one eye……….lmfao! That was the most financial smart decision I’ve ever heard.! Lmfao! There is a very good reason why you guys are in your position and his “management” is in theirs. You know absolutely nothing about the business besides what you read on the internet. But, please, tell us more about other fighters financial strategies they should takePosted December 16, 2013 2:00 am
Well said Love the sport….i hope Lopez has 1 million dollars in the bank.He should change his management team or do like Juan Diaz, retire soon and start your own business.Posted December 15, 2013 1:05 pm
THE BIGGER STORY HERE IS THE STUPID STUPID STUPID MANAGEMENT OF JOSESITO LOPEZ.
First, Lopez puts in a great performance against Vargas in a disputed loss.
Then, Lopez puts in an amazing performance in knocking out Ortiz while moving up to 147.
So, what does his idiot management team do — they put him in the ring against Canelo Alvarez at 154.
Then, his idiot management team puts him in the ring against Madiana — back at 147 true — but his third tough bout against big strong heavy punchers.
It is no surprise that Lopez has lost some pop and he thank his idiot management team. The right strategy — after the huge Ortiz win — would have been to go back down to 140 and get good action fights against guys where Lopez would have height, reach, weight, and power advantages. He could have had great fights against Lundy, Peterson, Judah, Khan — and he would have had height, reach, weight, and power advantages. He would probably have won most of those fights and then set-up for big fights against Matthysee and Garcia.
Now, his career may be winding down. Great job guys.Posted December 14, 2013 2:10 pm
I’m a fan of Lopez outside the ring he’s worth more than even Floyd stepping it up for his brothers like he didPosted December 14, 2013 12:41 pm
Arnaoutis is a solid fighter and it was nice to see that he’s not finished yet. He gave Lopez hell while it lasted and deserves another shot on a Fox or NBC or ESPN card in a crossroads kind of match. Lopez is what he is, limited but exciting.Posted December 14, 2013 12:26 pm
Lopez himself is pushing journeyman status with six losses on his record . TKOd by Canelo then TKOd by Maidana he’s struggling.Posted December 14, 2013 12:21 pm
Farmboxer, you’re 100% right. That was BS, Arnaoutis was robbed of a victory or at the very least a draw. This home town corruption stuff is pathetic. The cards were already set up. Mike had to win by ko or he wasn’t going to win.Posted December 14, 2013 12:12 pm
Lopez lost the fight, but we had criminal judges once again. Arnaoutis Was cheated out of the win. The fights on Fox were mismatches, all but Lopez/ Arnaoutis and then to see Arnaoutis get cheated was an insult. I will never watch Fox Sports again. Watching an undefeated fighter fight a fighter who had 12 losses, been knocked out many times was an insult to the fans………….boring as Hell! I would rather watch sparring sessions……….Posted December 14, 2013 2:56 am
