Cameron was forced into a Catchweight with Danny Green

Minto was hungry from beginning he deserves a huge jump up the ladder. He won the spills fight by points in my eyes too . Should be in top 15 hvy weights no doubt. Nice win Brian!!!

Cameron looked beaten from the first bell, so slow and had no plan to deal with Minto on the inside, tried throwing the same combo everytime and it worked once after which Minto dealt with it. Would be a good fight for Parker who needs guys who are going to rough him up, probably needs to move to the states or Europe in the next 2 years to fulfill his promise rather than beating up Oceania fighters.

Watched the fight live, and was disappointed with all the fights that evening- Our Kiwi’s showed poor boxing across the board. With Cameron, I thought he looked too slow, a little gun shy, easy to cut- of course, and lacked head- movement. This Shane Cameron looked more like he wanted (needed?) a paycheck, and I didn’t see hunger in his eyes to win. It was like he was stuck in 1st or 2nd gear while Minto created momentum and got stronger during the altercation.

GUMBOOT

As a Kiwi I of course like Shane Cameron but that’s told him plenty. Minto is a good tradesman but not an upper level fighter. Cameron simply cuts too easily, is 36 and is sort of between 2 weight classes. Its been fun Shane but it is time to retire.

Minto is a solid gatekeeper and Cameron clearly doesn’t belong at the upper level of the the sport. Minto exposed Cameron as a club fighter and I hope Minto earns another solid paycheck out of this. Maybe they can match him up with that Lucas Browne tatted-up dude down under.

WHAT!?!

Geez what happened to Shane Cameron? He had some promise. Bad management maybe, going up against Tua and getting KO├ęd. Then shortly after a few fights gets beat comfortably by Danny Green at Cruiser. Now Brian Minto??? Seems like he is the Benjamin Button of boxing and his skills are reversing with experience.
