“TMZ has been infiltrating the boxing scene lately… they need to stay out… I hate them…” – I think it’s funny. TMZ has massive traffic and the people they cover are viewed as stars simply because their usual fare is Hollywood celebrities. Good for boxing IMO, though I think it’s strange someone at TMZ decided, “Hey, time to establish a new beat. Let’s cover that dying sport, boxing.”

Amir Khan is rated #17 at welterweight according to Boxrec.com.
He is BELOW:
Randall Bailey
Adrien Broner
Paulie Malignaggi
Devon Alexander
Keith Thurman
Shawn Porter
ROBERT GUERRERO
Marcos Maidana
JUAN MANUEL MARQUEZ
and TIMOTHY BRADLEY holds the #1 spot at welter. Oh and by the way Floyd is rated at Jr. MIDDLEWEIGHT since he fought Saul Canelo Alvarez.

Look fools its not Bob Arum. Period. Its true that Mayweather hates Arum and doesnt want Arum involved or make money form it BUT in no way is ARUM preventing the fight from moving foward. Arum old greedy ass is ready to cash in on Pacquioa and make money and that what Mayweather DOES NOT want. So Mayweather is calling the shots and he is the one saying ” No go ” Look at all the articles, its always Mayweather saying “NO”.

If Floyd does not fight Khan he will fight the next best opponent which is Maidana. And when I say the next best, I don’t mean skill wise, I mean…the next best in bringing the bigger purse. You know floyd, he is first low risk…huge reward and FK the fans mentality…even though fans have supported his, his daddy’s and his children’s lifestyle. If Floyd was interested in fighting the best undefeated fighters who are champions and have been fighting at Welter longer than Maidana…..then look no further than Thurman, Porter and perhaps a close third, Bradley, who Floyd has conveniently avoided for as long as Bradley has been at 147. Floyd prefers the path of least resistance because he wants to fools the fans into thinking he’s doing something spectacular fighting those he knows he can beat. I am still waiting for the day he fights someone where the odds are either extremely close or pickem. Currently, because the odds are so far apart…..his fights can be categorized as exhibitions. Quite ridiculous in the age of PPV which is not cheap. I hope he fights Khan and receives only token support for his shenanigans.

Tall mike…if you’re going to post anything, at least make sure it’s factual. The last time Floyd fought any undefeated fighter prior to Canelo (catchweight) was when he Fought Corrales….waaaay back in 2001, 13 years ago. Floyd does not try to beat undefeated fighters without first knowing they can be beat, however, his modus operandi is to let someone else beat them first this way he knows for certain they’re beatable….and only then will he fight them. Otherwise, he relies on his achilles heel which are catchweights. Also, he didn’t just bypass fighting Casamayor simply because he got too “heavy.” He knew damn well he could not beat a true boxer which Casamayor is and of which there are only a few remaining today but, Floyd is not a true master boxer. He does box well but cannot ever be compared to Casamayor, Rigondeaux and Lara. He’s purely smoke and mirrors.

Lol ima take a risk here and pick Khan by 8-4. With Khan carrying more weight and Floyds average below average power its in the realm of reality that Floyds doesn’t hurt him. In the boxing match right now Khan is the much better athlete so I think Khan dominates the 1st half of the fight while Floyd measures his timing. 2nd half of the fight Floyd starts to come on but Khans athleticism helps him keeps Floyd from taking over the 2nd half of the fight. If Floyd doesn’t score a stoppage Khan soundly beats him with his blazing fast combos. I have no respect for Floyds inner strength to me he is insecure and mentally weak so he doesn’t overcome Khans superior firepower.

Floyd is a five time world champion smarter about buisness, and dont play a slave to the promoters unlike Manny who is Arums yes man, Reason why at the end he will end up with nothing he cant even be a commentator because his english is poor. Arum found a true sucker with him and will match him with, Bradley, Marquez and Ruslan will be Mannys last three fights and the sad reality is one of them will KO him again for sure, Floyd is head and shoulders above that mess.

What’s happening with Guerrero these days? About a year ago Broner walked up to him and challenged him; they agreed too fight at 147 (it’s on Youtube: Broner just keeps repeating “I still got my 0″, like the w*nker he is, while avoiding any eye contact).

Surely *that’s* a fight people want to see?

Of course, like everyone else, I expect Broner will back down from that now, and go back to beating up on smaller fighters with no power like Gavin Rees.

^haha I forgot all about that; Guerrero would crush him similar to how he did Berto. Yeah, he’s probably looking @ 135 again. Short!

Lets keep in mind that Adrien is a year young than when Floyd met Castillo for the first time and that was a subjective win for Jr. One of the judges scored Oscar as beating Floyd and CJ Ross had Canelo drawing with Floyd. There is no perfection in modern boxing – well except for Mr. Wilder with his 100% KO ratio over 30 fights and Heavyweight and Mr. Ward at Super Middle who has never done less than win on every scorecard. I’m surprised a boxer like Robert Guerrero hasn’t went public with a rebound offer to Broner.

Broner trying to imitate Floyd in the ring is just like some idiot trying to imitate Kobe, Tom Brady or Peyton Manning. Just because you memorize a great athletes mannerisms doesn’t mean you have their talent. How does Floyd stand again when he does that shoulder roll thing?? The sad thing is that there were so many fans and writers that actually bought into it. He’s not going any further fighting in a style that he doest have the talent to execute. Adrian Broner is a joke , a laughing stock, a cheap imitation. He’s not even his own man.

Posted December 19, 2013 9:12 pm

There’s some true about his comments, many boxing experts, including many boxing fans here in this forum, made comments about Broner being the next Floyd. I remember the various comments about how Broner was going to take care of Pacquiao and how much Floyd was afraid of Broner.

That tell you how much some posters here know about boxing…from how Canelo was going to be the one to KO Floyd, or Josesito Lopez was going to KO Maidana or how Broner was going to have an easy night against Maidana. Not even Broner’s performance against Paulie could convince some experts that Broner was more hype than substance.

Right after Paulie’s fight I stated how Broner was one loss away from disaster and I’m sticking by that. If he makes the mistake of staying at 147, he will see many more “L” than “W” on his resume.

“What’s happening with Guerrero these days? About a year ago Broner walked up to him and challenged him; they agreed too fight at 147″ – Martin, I remember that. Happened in Oakland the day before Ward smacked down Dawson. It was actually Guerrero who put Broner on blast and Broner backed off. Maybe later a guy showed up with a camera and Broner decided to act tough. Anyhow, given they’ve both lost since it’s a match that would make sense. Winner gets back on track, loser steps back.

But Broner doesn’t duck threats, has more heart, probably hits harder, and can take a punch… And I doubt Broner got waivers for drug test failures. But according to Steven Hauser in and article call “The PED Mess”, FLOYD likely DID!… On several occasions, tho include before the Ortiz and Cotto bouts, And he also likely covered them up from the Nevada State Athletic Commission… AND paid Manny big, to drop the defamation lawsuit… So it looks like Manny is the one who needs to demand FLOYD test more!… Talk about Ironic! LOL!!

these were the first intelligent (well, semi-intelligent, anyway) words I’ve heard from ‘Uncle Crackhead’ – he’s right, Broner was a hyped-up smartass thug, that isn’t anywhere near Mayweather’s class – if he WAS the real thing, Mayweather would be busy avoiding a fight with him, until he was half-washed-up (Pacquaio, for example)

Oh yes, I should have said: Pacquiao WILL be remembered as an ATG, and for precisely the reasons that Mayweather WON’T be: i.e. because instead of playing it safe and protecting his beloved “0″ at all costs, he HAS had lots of very exciting, memorable fights, and has never ducked anyone. Moreover, he’ll be remembered as someone who was genuinely loved by millions; a decent, humble, likeable, fully-rounded human being — very far from the vain, shallow, classless, tasteless, cardboard cut-out cartoon character that is “Money Mayweather”.

Adrien- exactly….like i said more title fights, more current champs more x champs faced and beat em all…..manny is more exciting and 2 people that have never thrown or taken a punch thats appealing. Floyd is the master of the sweet science plaib and simply would box mannys ears off. Manny has no jab, stands infront of you, has very little defence if any, gases 2 nd half of fights. Floyd would give this gut a lessob in every aspect. No.1 pound 4 pnd biggest draw in tge sport get use 2 it.

All ya’ll Floydiacs and Floydiots can say what ya’ll want… But the bottom line is and will always be that Floyd needs to PROVE he is better than Manny… PERIOD!!… Just shut dafuq up… AND PROVE IT ALREADY!!

Enough clever verbal distractions, contractual tactics, and REALLY tired, prima-donna drama… Because no matter what he says or how much he tries, he, his family, and his gullible fans are all fooling themselves, because even FLOYD simply CANNOT beat Manny by his or his supporters opinions! Not even close!! No, he gotta fight the guy!!!

But if ole “Money”, keeps using angles to duck the guy, he will always go down with one big ass asterisk *… As in- “But he never fought Pacquiao’s ass!”, asterisk*!

RAY RAY- Im not saying Mayweather wont beat Pacquioa. Cause he will but he will get his a$$whooped before he wins on points. Mayweather is a bigger version of Marquez. But it took Marquez 3 fights to learn his style before he sent him to dreamland. Heres the thing about Pacquioa, he is HEAVY HANDED, fast and his punches leave damage. Mayweather has a questionable chin, like his uncle and Im betting money if Manny throws enough punches at different angles it would be a long night for Mayweather. Mayweather at this point does not need Pacquioa and I think that is why he doesnt care for making the fight. He is in no rush, afterall he has that contract with Showtime secured. So yea its up to Mayweather and its obvious he rather get that “easy money” and avoid a hard fight with Pacquioa who would make him earn every bit of his money. Pennies and all……

The reason why Floyd will not be remembered as an ATG is that he’s never had any career-defining fights. In fact, he’s not even had any *memorable* ones. And the reason for that is that he’s always played it too safe. No one questions that he has a huge amount of talent, but he should have taken those risky fights against fighters who were still undefeated, dangerous, and in their primes that everybody was urging him to take. Because he didn’t, he won’t be remembered as much more than an unusually talented but boring defensive fighter who always cherry picked opponents and never took any risks. Insofar as he’ll be remembered as a personality, people will remember him as a shallow, delusional, nauseatingly vain wife-beater who had to buy himself a team of live-in sycophants to keep his planet-sized ego afloat.

The Mayweathers sure helped improve Hatton and Oscar. Both lost. They have no one to prove their worth as boxing trainers. Broner would be just another pawn for them.

Back to the Floyd Mayweather/Manny Pacquiao issue. Look, regardless of what the reasons Floyd has used not to fight Manny Pacquiao, which are Many and Bob Arum’s dislike for Floyd and Oscar, the fall out of all this will hurt Floyd much, much worse. The boxing public already has the perception that Floyd is afraid to fight Manny (IMHO, this is true). Manny is the Predator chasing the Prey, which is Floyd. He is losing more credibility every time he opens his mouth to the media. He puts out these ridiculous videos in an attempt to justify why he won’t fight Manny Pacquiao. He actually believes that the public will accept his “My PPV numbers are better” so he doesn’t deserve a fight with me, then he is supposedly going to fight Amir Khan? We’re not talking about the past, w’re talking about today. If Floyd truly believes he can beat Manny, just make the fight. It’s not about money, it’s about Floyd being humble and fighting a man that he says isn’t even in his league. Forget Arum. Do a 50/50 split and give the public what they want. Put the oversize ego down and prove to the world that you can beat Manny Pacquiao. Trust me, there’s more than enough money to go around. Manny, as I said is doing all the chasing. He agrees to everything in his recent interview, but Floyd is still out there trying to create more obstacles. Even if Floyd brings in more PPV, who cares. Manny would still be the number 2 highest PPV generator in boxing. Floyd Mayweather cannot and will not distance himself from Manny Pacquiao until he finds the courage and confidence to fight him. It’s not Manny Pacquiao’s reputation and legacy on the line, it’s Floyd’s. These irrational excuses like “manny is 1-2 in his last 3 fights” is a laughable excuse for Floyd to use for not wanting to fight Manny. To sum this all up in a few words, Floyd Mayweather desperately needs Manny Pacquiao to legitimize his own legacy in boxing. Manny’s is already cemented. Manny’s the best.

RAY RAY- and mind you that Mayweather fought a lightweight Marquez and he ( Mayweather ) went in the fight over the welterweight limit e.g. fighting as a junior middleweight. and avoided Clottey by using the ” Arum excuse ” again.

Mayweather never wanted to face Clottey and he brought the “Arum” excuse to the table when they asked him if he ever wanted to face him. So yea in a sense, Pacquioa did face a prime Clottey and Mayweather ran.

Old Coot you just don’t like Floyd which is fine so your a little bias toward him because you like Pac. . Regardless of Floyd is rich he got the showtime deal not Pac, Floyd is undefeated not Pac, Floyd is at the top of the mountain and Pac is still rolling down to the bottom from the JMM punch.

Floyd is scared to be exposed for the cherry-picking conman he is, by Pacquiao… At least Broner has heart and can take a real punch, without hanging onto his opponent’s arm, for dear life, like a little girl.

PEEJ, Floyd is a great fighter no doubt. But you can’t blame people for getting angry about his claims that Manny is not on his level etc…. He may be right, but fans want that fight and whether it’s Arum or floyd preventing it (I blame both), they will side with the fighter they like most. And you know to the common fan, Paq is more fan friendly. And comparing their resumes is totally subjective, both have great resumes. Personally, I can’t really say who’s is better. It just sucks that this fight could not and probably will not be made. Both that thug and little Pinoy f&%& owe it to fans, so people are pissed (me included).

Manny will always be a issue but he turned down the fight 3 times and 40 million. Floyd will retire undefeated he was yet to be hurt in the ring.

Tall Mike Pac fought guys Floyd had already beat, Not only that they had weight issues, Manny is exposed Cotto and Oscar had to make welter to fight him Floyd beat them both at 154 not 147, everyone Manny beat are typical Latino fighters who stand right in front and trade until someone drops, He dont have no skill name one Brother that Manny beat? Clottey has a nobody and Bradley who he couldnt dominate, Mobile fighters beat Manny easily dude have been cherry picked his whole career look at Rios. Now Mannys power is gone no way Rios should have been left standing. Marquez figured him out simply by moving to the side and countering him coming in and lights out, There are guys calling Manny out from Garica to Thurman but he has yet to take a real challenge….

Anyone who lost cannot be equal to Floyd or compaired, Manny had 3 L even been Koed. No boxer of our era can beat Floyd maybe a guy Like Sugar Ray Robinson who fought 170 times with 1 lost, But Floyd is on a level all on his own at 37 he has yet to be on the canvas or even had a beating in the ring no one else can say that, for that reason alone he is the best, he thinks in the rink and you have to outsmart him make adjustments on the fly like he does, and no one has been able to match that. Broner had the shoulder roll but he didnt have Floyds speed defense counter punching nor stamina. Floyd is a complete fighter not the most exciting because he is not a KO artist but still the best hands down 46 have tried 46 have failed….

True boner hadn’t fought anyone credible. He was very overhyped, Floyd is one of a kind. and people may not give him his just due until long after he leaves the sport, Floyd at 37 looks better than he did at 27, dude has yet to touch the canvas, say why you want 46 have tried 46 have failed. Guy like Manny are not on his level no one to had a lost can be compaired to MW. Myabe the great sugar ray robinson would have whopped him but that’s about it, You have to be a good thinker in the ring and make a lot of adjustments to beat Floyd and no one of this era has that quality especially Manny who nact beat Bradley or Marquez….

Actually BRONER, at the moment, is already different than floyd for the following reasons:

-He fought a good opponent, in his prime
-Stayed and fought like a man
-gave the fans what they wanted to see
-didnt hurt his hand during the fight
-and refrain from trying to win the fight by points

BRONER WILL FIGHT!!!!- PLAIN AND SIMPLE.. ILL PAY FOR THAT..

Posted December 19, 2013 4:04 pm

WHAT!?!

After the Malignaggi fight, only the AB fanboys thought he was still something special. The Mayweather camp is correct not to compare Broner with Floyd. Broner just fought a guy in his prime who was bigger than himself and at the required weight limit for the division. FMJ has never done that through his farcically bluffed and padded career. He fought Castillo in his prime and lost the 1st fight but to his credit won convincingly in the 2nd. After that shook him up he would only fight green or over the hill fighters and also made them drain weight and strength. Of course sometimes he would purposely not make weight against the smaller fighters for another unfair advantage. He lost to a finished De la Hoya which made him go into his shell even more. These guys are worlds apart in skill, courage, personality, PED’s, money, fans, but you can decide who has what and if it is a good or bad element within their repertoire.

Broners trainer responded to Floyd Sr and Roger on Fighthype.com. I don’t think he was exposed. Well he was exposed as he was not this great fighter that he thought he was. At least not yet. He can still turn it around. But he does need to drop weight. 147 seems to be too much for him right now. I just hope he has been humbled and what happened during and after the Paulie fight does not happen again.

No Roger, people don’t hate Broner because they “found out he’s not like Floyd”. They hate him because he is *just like* Floyd: an insufferable little pr*ck. That’s why they both make good PPV numbers: not because people like or admire them (it’s hard to admire street garbage), but because they want to see them get hurt. Floyd and Broner are both very talented boxers, no doubt, but as human beings they’re an embarrassment to the species.

They need to move AB back to 135 where he belongs. I never cared for his mouth, but I enjoyed watching him fight and develop. His team screwed him over by jumping in class too soon. They got greedy and that was the end of it. As for the Mayweathers working with him, that just goes to show that even they thought he might be a future opponent. They wanted to get a good look at him up close and personal. I swear it all goes back to DLH. Boxing is a business. Sometimes it’s dirty, but that’s the way it goes.

The Mayweathers can never be trusted. Those guys will stab you in the back in a second. They know the con game. Floyd, Roger and Floyd Sr all pretended to like Broner, but in the back of their minds, they wanted him to lose. They heard the comparisons, they even invited Broner to their gym where he sparred and worked out including mitt work with Roger. They basically wanted to check out what this kid had. They said some good things about him, and Floyd went as far as calling Broner his little brother. The con game was won right then and there. Once Broner lost, here comes Floyd Sr with his BS about how he needs to come to him, and now Roger throwing this poor kid under the bus. Broner is right when he says he doesn’t know who he can trust anymore. I don’t know if Broner will ever make it back, but if he does, he needs to stay as far away from these characters as possible.
