dick tigerHatton has always gave his best to the fans, win or lose this should be remembered. Good Luck Posted September 29, 2012 10:29 amDan DAll these so called fans that have never heard of Senchenko need to understand the sport a little better. He isn’t on the level of the best in the division but he is a good, solid fighter. The stoppage to Paulie was on cuts but was still a huge shock. He will see this as an opportunity to get his reputation and career back on track by beating Hatton. Ricky will win this though by stoppage. Hatton brings a huge fan base and that alone will get him a big fight after this. This is a good starting point and proves that Ricky is serious about challenging at the top level again. Posted September 29, 2012 5:38 amT22They never heard of Senchenko because they are not true boxing fans. True boxing fans will look at the rankings and seek out any up and coming fighter to watch via tv, internet or reading as thus to form a opinion. However diluted the titles the true fan should know who Senchenko is. Glad you brought this up.Cheers. Posted September 28, 2012 8:08 pmroyjoneslastfightThe Ghost of Ricky Hatton !!! Posted September 28, 2012 8:04 pmKick You AssI say that hatton gets tapped again, He was a hype job just like canelo is today. Hype job, I bet will see Hatton Vs Canelo after this. Posted September 28, 2012 7:42 pmPrinceasiI meant to say, this is a bad comeback fight for Hatton. Posted September 28, 2012 6:58 pmPrinceasiWow, what a bad comeback for Hatton. Posted September 28, 2012 6:55 pmREALTALKCan someone is answer my question, who is HAtton is Trainer! Posted September 28, 2012 6:51 pmRed RyanTrue, makes you wonder how they got hear… Posted September 28, 2012 5:50 pmPinheadWhy is everyone speaking of a great rematch with Malinaggi and that Hatton is gunning for him?? I will tell you why and that is Because Hatton will probably not get knocked out by Malinaggi as Hatton cannot take a good shot and he knows it……at all. Khan….yes Khan will rip Hatton to shreads and so will everyone else out there, the fact that this kid is loved and very popular leaves people very deluded, nowhere near the top boys, and even the fighters who get beat by the top boys will deal with Hatton, he had his time and anything he was going to achieve in the ring he has done. Big respect for anyone who gets in a boxing ring, but when Hatton gets in with a top fighter he will be found out……again. Posted September 28, 2012 5:27 pmHHLondon“Long-awaited comeback”? GTFOH! Posted September 28, 2012 5:05 pmDan DThere’s only one…. Posted September 28, 2012 4:54 pmflash knock downWhen you loes your last fight by KNOCK OUT to Paul Malignaggi there is a big problem with your chin no other way to look at it.I have never heard of Senchenko never. This will let Ricky get his feet wet again .The only problem I have is when a fighter retires and comes back I am afraid that when Ricky gets hit he will remember why he retired. I know the money is there Ricky but you can’t be a great fighter just fighting for m oney you have to love the sport. I am a fan of Ricky’s thats why I am not getting on him about this fight. Posted September 28, 2012 12:56 pmAnnonhe is a good pick for Hatton. to be fair he was stopped once in 33 fights (to a very light puncher) but that was a cut that caused the stoppage and the ref didnt exactly give a chance to carry on when he should. My tickets are locked in! Roll on November 24th and Blue Moon returning to the MEN Arena! Posted September 28, 2012 11:59 amDanSame here, very strange. Posted September 28, 2012 11:57 amAnnoni cant believe the amount of people on a boxing forum news / chat site that have never heard of Senchenko! unreal!!!! Posted September 28, 2012 11:56 amking mannynever heard of him after one or two bums then its time for big boys i think he should take salita next. Posted September 28, 2012 11:52 amAnonymousyou sound like an absolute know it all! Posted September 28, 2012 10:56 amJamieKatsidis was always a boiled down middleweight so the comments regarding his weight don’t make a whole lot of sense. There is no sense in which Senchencko is a greater challenge than Katsidis. Just look at their respective resumes. If this is calculated to get a shot at Malignaggi then it sheds a great deal of light on Hatton’s true motivation in making this comeback. $$. Posted September 28, 2012 10:42 amAnonymousHe was a world champ but 1 fight ago. Granted, ‘World Champ’ doesn’t carry the same weight anymore but none the less it’s a good choice of opponent. Posted September 28, 2012 10:24 amT-Bagsnechenko was WBA WW champion one fight ago, he is a highly ranked worlo class fighter. way better than i thought roicky would face and he’s a big WW not a blown up LW like Katsidis Posted September 28, 2012 10:21 amT-Bagdamn, good test for a comeback! much better than blown up Katsisdis….Hattons actually going for a bigger guy than himself and a dude that was a champ one fight ago. Posted September 28, 2012 10:20 amKOrnermanGood luck Ricky, he might be eyeing up a Magic man rematch by fighting his conquered foe. Posted September 28, 2012 9:27 amM JamesI hope BoxNation doesn’t show this because the commentator John Rawling is AWFUL, the worst boxing commentator on TV. Please can Sky show it so we can listen to the excellent Nick Halling or Adam Smith commentating? Posted September 28, 2012 9:17 amPansHe’s picked a legit opponent. I wanted Katsidis but Senchenko is definitely more credible. Nice one Ricky and good luck!! Posted September 28, 2012 8:59 amKazakh DroogWill this be televised ? Since Evil Sky did not renew Hatton promotions contract and everybody has to go through fast Eddie to get on sky will boxnation pick this up ? hers hoping, Sky can kiss my spotty white pale working class butt, all the best Ricky cho Posted September 28, 2012 8:55 amThe Boxing GuruRicky Hatton is showing some guts going after a contender in his first fight back after being out for a few years. Malignaggi is Hatton’s target for regaining a world title; since he has already defeated him he figures he may be able to do so again. Malignaggi just beat Senchenko, stopping him even to capture a major title. Hatton has chosen Senchenko for a couple of reasons. One reason is he thinks he can beat Senchenko since light puncher Malignaggi stopped him. The second is it is a good gage for him at this point being out so long by fighting a fighter who just fought your target fighter. If Hatton wins this fight look for the Malignaggi fight to be made ASAP. With Hatton being out this long, and with his abuse problems, along with the up and down scale wars, it is a wonder whether or not he can regain some glory. I assume the fight will be at 147, but the question to wonder is if that weight will be difficult to make even though his heyday was at 140. Some years back it would have been an easy pick for Hatton to win, but at this point there are to many questions for this to be a slam dunk. I do wish Ricky Hatton the best however. Posted September 28, 2012 8:35 amMNboxingFAN – SeanSenchenko? I’ve never heard of him. It’s not exactly the opponent I was expecting when Ricky said he wanted to fight someone who could get him ranked right away. Don’t get me wrong… it’s smart to take things a bit slow at first. Besides the tickets were sold out in record time without an opponent even named. So Ricky doesn’t need to worry. His fans are coming for him not his opponent.
