This is the best fight that can be made for both guys-I mean be honest where does Ward go from here? Ward is in the worst spot because he’s been there done that but history proves just cause you been there doesn’t mean you’ll do it again. Jo Frazier not only beat Ali but he dropped him as well-he won the fight by a wide to me-but Ali came back harder and beat him the next 2 times. Froch did well to me-I didn’t see this 1 way easy fight fans are talking about-I saw Ward winning rds but the fight was rough in there for him. So where does Ward go and plz don’t even mention any 160lbs fighters-who does he fight that make sense? Ward has to do it all again because everyone he defeated are really good fighters and guess what-they all have belts again. Abraham, Froch and I believe Kessler has a belt to but all 3 of those guys looked very good in their last outings. Sometimes you have to do it again-what harm is it for him to fight the best at his weight class and the best are the guys he beat already in Abraham, Froch and Kessler-if Bute bounce back nicely I would like to see that. I’m tired of fans thinking oh well time to move up you beat everyone-no, it doesn’t work like that

I saw Haye tryn in the fight-I mean it’s WK style-everytime Haye tried to make a move WK takes 2 giant steps back-Haye couldn’t get in simple as that. Those guys really know how to use their size very well. Haye could’ve done a lil more jabbing to try to get in but hey-it’s easier said than done. Anyway, Haye has been a very entertaining fighter everytime I’ve seen him but I’ve never liked any WK fight unless we’re talking when he fought Brewster, Sanders or the first Peter fight other than that he stinks up the place almost everytime-I mean he’s just boring. VK is just a lil more entertaining cause he fights more so he get hits more but watching WK fight is like watching paint dry and I’m no hater just because I don’t like his style cause I respect the hell out the guy as a fighter, just don’t like to watch him fight even though since I’m a fan I watch anyway lol

I think Bute is a damn good boxer and he hits very hard. The guy is a great body puncher and all-his main down fall is he’s not a good inside fighter. Froch fought him hard, rough and inside. Bute is a guy that can fight really well-I’ve watched him fight more than enough and anyone who beats Sakio Bika gotta be good cause only good fighters beat him and Miranda. Bute is good but Froch style was just all wrong for him-his people need to work on inside fighting with him. I wanna say this-just because Froch lost to Ward by UD and Bute was creamed by Froch doesn’t give Ward an automatic victory over Bute. Bute has one hitter quitters and all it takes is one sweet shot. Now don’t get it twisted-in that short fight I watched Bute nail Froch a couple of times that just might’ve put someone else down-Froch is known to have a touch chin-I’m just saying-Ali has 3 close back and forth battles and lose to both Norton and Frazier while 4Man kills both guys in quick fasion-people thought that was an automatic win for 4man-Ali stops him in 7-winning on points up to that point before stopping him

Look guys, Mattysse is a good fighter and I like him but he’s not on Manny’s level and if Soto was a harder puncher he could’ve turn Mattysse lights out. Soto was coming up in weight and you could see the size difference and the skill difference. Soto was the smalled better boxer landing some sweet combo’s-he just couldn’t keep Mattysse honest enough but he did noticeably stun him maybe once. Anyway, Mattysse is the man at 140, but Pac would tear him up. Lets talk about these so called wars-the Margarito fight was a war. The last JMM fight was a close contested fight-I wouldn’t call it a war. Pac was hurt in the Margarito fight cause he was to small and even though he won he had no business in the ring with Margarito-he was just to big. That’s why even if Manny was able to beat Martinez-he’s just to small and shouldn’t have to fight all these bigger men-he’s moved up enough. Pac should be able to stop Mattysse though

Tark, you are freaking stupid, you know that? We’re talking about future fights the people want to see and your trying to spark convo about a fight that took place damn near 10 years ago. Dude get over it already, VK lost the fight, they had to stop it STFU. Bring on Haye vs VK in 2013-damn all the sour grapes and talks of old ass fights-it’s in the history books-leave it there

Peej says…. “Watch when Vitali gets cut when the cut man whipes the cut with the towel he ripped it wide open.” .. That was cutman Joe Souza who was suffering from terminal cancer at the time—but the Klitschko team employed him anyway not thinking they would need his services—and they didn’t make a change when the opponent was switched to Lewis with 2 weeks to go.. However Vitali had 3 massive, deep, jagged cuts on his left eyelid and left cheek.. They were ripped wide open by the palm of Lewis’s right glove and aggrevated by Souza’s rough and careless towel work which took a chuck off the eyelid.. What Souza did was unfortunate, but not decisive … In my view Lewis was the dirtiest Heavyweight Champion off all time.

Definitely nah. Mathysse is just a puncher with a style tailor-made for Pac. Pac beats him down in an all out brawl. Pac only gets into trouble with pure boxers.

I dont no that Pac would knock out Mattysse I think it could b the other way around Pacs been in some very big wars and is ring older than his age suggests I think he is done very soon Im a huge fan of Matthysse. He is coming in2 his prime and deserves big name pay days. he has never lost in my opinion the 2 split losses 2 Zab and Alexander were very stiff, specially the Judah fight….How many times can u drop a guy and lose?…..I dont think Pacman has the hunger anymore, Matthysse is a hungry young bull, Id like 2 c Mattysse vs Juan Marquez also

Want good KO fights? Pac-Maidana. Pac-Mathysse. Pac-Danny Garcia. Pac-Khan. Pac-Berto. Pac-Ortiz. Pac will destroy all these guys. Provided he fights them and provided he beats Marquez.

Froch is as good as he’s gonna get and incapable of adding that additional wrinkle that just Might catch-up to Ward”s breakaway talent and skills. being #2 to Ward may be unsatisfying but it’s nothing to be ashamed of.

Yep. the fight-related circumstances are just that: Fight-related and accepted hazards of the trade. Vitali’s cut may have prevented him from finishing strong and closing the show but Lewis’ out-of-shape condition didN’T prevent him from overcoming a sluggish start and finishing strong in decisive fashion. moreover, i’ve always respected Lewis’ final decision to retire and Stay retired. he literally gave his remaining all to defeat Vitali and called it a career. now That’s integrity and class.

The guy retired. It would be different if he fought someone else but he retired

Posted September 28, 2012 10:18 pm

Correction Vitalis cut ripped the cut open. Watch when he gets cut when the cut man whipes the cut with the towel he ripped it wide open. And it doesn’t matter how many times or if he cut anybody. Cuts happen in boxing and he was cut. He lost. And what’s sodas about it is Lewis was training for Johnson, he was out of shape and he still won and I believe he was on his way to winning by KO

Bute is a decent fighter, but he’s not great or even very good. Froch is a very good fighter, but not a world beater. Ward is world class. Froch simple lacks the skills required to beat Ward. I say extend Froch’s money-making part of his career and match him up with fighters he can beat — Ward isn’t one of them.

Char deserves a rematch WAYYYYYY before Haye. At least Char TRIED to win.

Look people I understand after Hayes last fight against wlad u would be skeptics but look at facts other than that 1 fight he has been in entertaing fights is the 2ndbest cruiserwieght behind evander and and let’s face it he gave wlad his toughest fight since Peters I don’t know if he could win due to his size but heck I can’t think of many more entertaing fights in the division if vitali doesn’t fight hate I would like to see and fury gave a go I think a fully fit fury would give him a gs go

I like Froch, the man’s a warrior, but it was already proven that he’s no match for Ward. Ward is just too skilled. All this talk about Froch getting a hometown advantage this time is nothing but talk — he’ll still lose, only he’ll lose in his home country. Froch has many other intriguing bouts, bouts he can win, but a return with Ward is NOT one of them.

Posted September 28, 2012 8:24 pm

Stop with talk of Haye vs any Klitschko! Haye doesn’t deserve a title shot! He’s a damn thief, a thief with a big mouth and a physique. After that last spectacle, that non-performance, Haye needs to EARN another title shot — he needs to beat three or four top-10 heavies, before he ever gets another chance to rip off the boxing public again.

3 G’s Mayweather didn’t have cell mates. Floyd vs Alvarez, Floyd vs Martinez. Martinez vs Golovkin/Danny Geale, Pacqiuo vs Matthysse, Pacman vs Cotto at 154. Cotto vs Alvarez, Juan Marquez vs Matthysse, the Klitchko brothers vs each other, Froch vs Pavlic, Pavlic vs Kessler, Ward vs Pavlic/Kessler outside of Oakland. Ward vs Dawson at light heavy. There the fights I want 2 c

Hey, I’m a big boxing fan and Martinez/Golovkin would be a very competitive fight–perhaps the best middle weight fight out there. However, this is also considered PRIZE Fighting!!! The Martinez/Golovkin will not make any MONEY. Us hardcore fans would love to see that fight. But it’s not going to make the money that fight should command. Martinez is in his late 30s. Get real, he has maybe 3 or 4 fights left. He has got to make his money now. Golovkin is not a big draw here in the US. He’s got mad boxing skills. He is some what big in Europe. But he is not a mega-star. He is just a up and coming fighter whom time is almost here. Timing is everything and for now the timing is not right. Golovkin will make good money if Martinez decided to give him a shot. But what about Martinez. How does this flight appeal to his bank account. The answer is, IT DON’T! Remember, this is also prize fighting. Would you want to make one million or 5 million. That’s a easy decision

Lewis beat Vitali fair and square. I had the fight even when the stoppage occured. Sorry but Lewis was on his way to a victory over Vitali before the fight was stopped

Golovkin is #0 P4P. Floyd and Manny are Top 3 P4P. SO if Martinez opted to Fight Golovkin rather than Floyd or Manny then that would be called ducking ELITE level competition.

I didn’t watch the Marroquin Fight but I SAID that Donaire would knock Rigo out LONG ago and I was CORRECT. All Rigo has to DO is put his signature on the WOOD to make the Fight GOOD.

A fight i would like to see is Haye v Adamek. Both seem pretty equal to me.But Haye should forget about the K brothers.

Tark. Lewis was going to retire after that fight. Why would he wanna fight a guy he nearly blinded again anyway .You will find that most Brit fighters retire after they have made their money & dont end up vegatables like most of ours do.I heard Manny say that Lewis would have won anyway .And some how i think he is slightly more Knowledgable than you Tarky. You must think you are Boxtra. But even thinking that Haye would beat Lewis when Lewis was in his prime shows how very limited your fight knowledge is.Believe me ,an old West Ham boy ,the only human Lennox was ever afraid of was his mother.

Sergio Martinez-Gennady Golovkin is not gonna happen. Martinez is not to keen on fighting the best the Middleweights have to offer. He wants to fight the B level comp that is around. His promoter is already on record saying it doesn’t make financial sense. So seems to me like Martinez constantly is running from challenges

I love how this guy still continues to try and hype Haye even when the rest of the world knows he’s a little toe blaming, mouth and run job. Does this guy work for Haye or what?

Duran’s the man

Rigondeaux was wobbled twice by Marroquin with a left hook both times. Nonito saw that too, the fight can be made now.

Pirog Beats anybody with style but Golovkin at MW.

Daniel Geale has done alot more in the professional ring then Gennady Golovkin. Yet he still doesnt get respect after what he done in boxing, go over to germany twice and win 2 world titles.

How much is Haye paying you? Lennox would take little Davey to school, toy around with him for a few rounds, and then finally ring the bell to end the lesson. David’s bell, that is.

Alvarez will be taken to school on a SATURDAY if he faces Floyd. Its too BIG a jump in levels of competition. Going from facing Lopez to facing Floyd is like a guy throwing a PAPER plane and then trying to go fly a 747. That’s called setting yourself UP to FAIL. You have to take it gradually. Unless you’re a PHENOM. Alvarez is pretty GOOD. But he’s not a PHENOM. Adrien Broner is a PHENOM and even HE would be SPANKED by Floyd.

Lewis shad in his pants rather than take the Klitschko rematch he promised… Because he was behind on points and losing on all cards when the fight was stopped. Haye is a better conditioned, far more skilled, and faster fighter than Rahman or McCall, and would bolt Lewis to the floor for the 10-count.

Yes, you’re right. Vitali still has unfinished business with that retired hw boxer from the UK. But will Lennox Lewis come back to (T)KO Vitali again? Because he is the ONLY retired hw boxer from the UK who could pull this off (again). This Haye guy – not so much. Why do all of you guys allow this fraud to deceive you again? Remember what Haye did vs. Vladimir. Talk like a man, run like a mouse. On his knees very often, avoiding the fight whenever possible, staring at the ref to help him out so often. WHAT A DISGRACEFUL PERFORMANCE! And you want to see that AGAIN and pay for it? WTF is wrong with you, guys? Haye is a very skilled boxer, but he know his limits and therefore runs away in the ring from every boxer with last name Klitschko for the whole 12 rounds. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS DECEIVER AGAIN. Ask for a better fight. Vladimir or Vitali vs. Price, Fury, Helenius, even Wilder or once again Arreola would prove to be more of a fight than what Haye would pull off again. No, thanks, David. You’re a very good boxer, but either wait out the Klitschko era or try again but DO NOT RUN for the whole 12 rounds. Fool me once, shame on me, fool me twice…

Vitali would school Haye. No contest there. No risk there. However, a good reward probably and he gets to beat up a guy he’s always wanted to hurt. It will happen.

lol Ward v.s. Froch?

It was a competitive fight, but Ward clearly won and would do the same again in the same fashion.

Ward should fight Dirrell and whoever else is left in that division.

Posted September 28, 2012 1:50 pm

In the heavyweight division, I would much rather see Adamek vs. Haye or Arreola vs. Mitchell, Tyson Fury vs. Robert Helenius, Odlanier Solis vs. Alexander Povetkin….there are so many great match-ups without the Klitschkos.

I love Wlad and Vitali, but the world of boxing needs to see some of these Heavyweights fight. It seems that most of the heavies are merely waiting for the Klitschkos to retire.

Posted September 28, 2012 1:23 pm

A very good list for a change… Vitali-Haye won’t happen after what Haye did to Chisora, proving the kind of power Haye has with 2 healthy feet to grip the canvas.. Vitali will stay retired rather than risk losing to a fresh young Haye—just too damned risky …. Mayweather-Alvarez won’t happen for the same reason Mayweaher-Martiniez won’t happen. Too big a risk for Floyd …. In fact, having been in Boxing since the 50′s and seeing what fights happen and what fights don’t happen, I can guarantee the 3 above fights won’t happen.

Posted September 28, 2012 1:21 pm

Ward/Froch would be the same schooling by Ward-even easier this time; Ward/Dirrell would be more competitive & intriguing…Golovkin is too slow for Sergio; Sergo/Pirog is a better fight-my money is on Pirog.
