Adrian Kahn is no better Garcia put him too sleep. Floyd will kill him like I said it takes more than just speed, Kahn has no chin and is easy to hit not to mention he hasnt beat a pure boxer and he has no power, he is nothing but a pig payday because of his UK fans…Posted December 31, 2013 7:34 pm
Anonymous – zab is fast but is a pusssssy and had losses against baldomir and spinks alike at that time and mayweather lost so
Tark , Garcia was getting boxed his ears off by khan until he cought khan while trading with him , that wasn’t timing at all that was more getting one looping punch in while trading punches , khan thought he could stop Garcia but that was his mistake , if khan would have box from tbd outside he would have won the fight eaaaaasy against Garcia !Posted December 31, 2013 7:27 pm
Once again it takes more than just one element to beat Floyd, because he is all around fighter and it takes another all around fighter to beat him. Kahn has speed big deal. what good is speed if you missing half the shots your throwing it will only tire you out. Kahn is very easy to hit, and he lacks power and a chin. To beat Floyd you have to have excellent stamina a jab timing and really good defense and patience. Kahn has none or these hell, none of the fighters of our era have all these things together and the smarts to adjust with him. Maybe a guy like Sugar Ray Robinson could have whopped him but thats about it. These guys that have speed no power or power no speed equals easy work. Zab hands was faster than Floyds and you seen what happened to him. Shane had fast hands too they were all easy work baby…Posted December 31, 2013 7:10 pm
TJ says.., “Amir Khan will be using SPEED. Super speed, but not like you would think. Think back to Khan and Kotelnik…. Khan has already been trying out with the Olympic track meet athletes….. For this fight with Mayweather, Khan will be boxing off the back foot and will stick and move, or to be exact stick and run all night long. He will look to land the jab or any quick combo and then will flee around the ring until he can get another blow in and then he will skit across the perimeter of the ring, trying to make FLOYD chase him and walk into trouble. Khan knows he has no chance at all if he stands and tries to throw punches like he did vs SWIFT…. He will get caught and hurt.”
Khan doesn’t have a chance… Floyd knows exactly what’s coming.
Jabs, followed by flurries, and a lot of running. Floyd’s timing is as good as Garcia’s if his power is not. Floyd can attack and work inside. He’s an all around boxer and Khan is not. Floyd will definitely nail Khan with the same left hooks and right leads Garcia hit him with. It might take Floyd 2 or 3 more rounds to nail Khan to the floor, but it’s a done deal if the fight gets signed … Khan gone in 7 – easy money.
Floyd needs to fight Lara, Garcia, or Pacquiao.Posted December 31, 2013 6:17 pm

IF THE KHAN MAYWEATHER FIGHT COULD HAPPEN I BELIEVE KHAN WILL WIN AND IT WILL BE VERY VERY EASY FOR HIM IT WILL ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE A MISMATCH KHAN HAS BEEN CHASING FLOYD FOR TIME BCOS HE SEES WHAT EVERYBODY DIDNT SEE JUST LIKE ANTONIO TARVER VS ROY JONES JUNIOR AND MORE RECENTLY CARL FROCH VS GEORGE GROVES. HE AMIR KHAN KNOWS WHAT HE SEES SINCE 2011 HE HAS BEEN CALLING FLOYD IN MY OWN OPINION IF HE TAGS FLOYD LIKE MOSLEY DID EARLY IN THEIR FIGHT I BELIEVE KHAN WILL BLOW FLOYD AWAY IN 3ROUNDS EITHER WAY I CAN SEE MAYWEATHER GETTING OLD OVER NIGHT IN THIS FIGHT HIS CORNER WILL THROW IN THE TOWEL AFTER SOME SERIOUS BEATING OR FLOYD NOT COMING OUT FOR THE TENTH ROUND, MAYWEATHER WILL NOT WIN THIS FIGHT IF IT HAPPENS BUT SOMETHING JUST SAYS MAYWEATHER WONT FIGHT KHAN ITS A RISKY FIGHT FOR HIMPosted December 31, 2013 2:42 am

Chezeb- I agree completely !Posted December 31, 2013 1:09 am
Take a look at this video on youtube … ‘Floyd Mayweather exposed (Why he ducked Manny Pacquiao)’
Yeah this is a good YouTube video for those who got amnesia and forgot how this floyed vs PAC saga played out , first PAC is too good and must be juiced then he is not in the same level as mayweather … Lol oh and yeah and since Marquez ko PAC there is no need to fight ad now …
Hehehe, Khan is a “good boy” :P
I for one agree with him and have said it on these forums a couple of times. Khan has the ingredents to be difficult for Mayweather. This is not the same as saying Khan will win, so I dunno why people are getting their period over it.
The thing is, Mayweather is not a massive puncher and he can be smothered somewhat by relentless punches. To me, if Mayweather doesn’t stifle Khan quickly, this fight could very well play out similar to Mayweather-DLH, only that Khan is much faster so Mayweather will be in a far more difficult defensive position.
But having said all that, Mayweather is always a very, very hard person to pick against… I’d only be putting money on Khan if the odds are very significant and I wouldn’t be “confident” in it. Mayweather does tend to find a way to win, and in this fight, I think he’d be a front-footed fighter with a view to bully Khan and prevent Khan from letting his hands go too much.
Anonymous , I never said for any opponent that mayweather had are tough for him exept dlh for the first time I am saying this and I hope this fight happens but I am not sure Floyd takes this fight because is a big risk and low reward when it comes to getting credit if he beats khan but those who undestand boxing know this one is a risky fight for floyed !Posted December 31, 2013 12:43 am
People need to realize one thing that khan never lost a Boxing match , and have some good wins under his belt , Barrera , Judah , malinagi , Maidana , even in a Los against Garcia he was wining the fight easy but Garcia at a time was a litle unknown and khan thought he could stop him and he paid a price for that . Beating khan is not easy for mayweather because khan will be focused against him unlike those fights he lost when he thought he could stop them .Posted December 31, 2013 12:39 am
Everybody is a tough fight for floyd and everyone gets beat Ohh Kahn is tough ok but at the end of the day he still will get his ass whopped. Because they all were tough and had a style to beat him 46 of the fools…Posted December 31, 2013 12:38 am

No. The main reason Floyd would take the fight is because it would be a successful PPV event. Money talks. Don’t forget, ShowTime has to approve the match as well. After all, they’re televising it. But don’t forget, Pacquiao is Floyd’s mandatory. Floyd can deal with that in only one of two ways–fight Pacquiao or forfeit his WBC welterweight title.Posted December 30, 2013 9:57 pm

The PPV may not be as impressive but Khan has a large following in Asia, the Middle East and the UK. He’s an exciting fighter and Floyd would be in an entertaining fight, which he’d likely win by stoppage. Great business for Floyd – international fanbase to exploit, putting on a show for the first time since 2 retirements ago & getting a rare KO. The fans may not want this fight but you can see why Floyd does!Posted December 30, 2013 8:44 pm

If Floyd takes the fight, then it is because Floyd knows its a mismatch and won’t even be close. Kahn has never corrected the mistakes that allow him to get caught. Floyd is the best defensive fighter Kahn has fought by far. Floyd is the most accurate puncher Kahn has fought by far. There are severaly guys at 140 Kahn cant beat. Kahn cant be Marquez at 140 or 147. Fans should boycott Floyd and Manny until they fight each other.Posted December 30, 2013 8:12 pm

Yo momma…..your prediction sounds about right fella.
I hope Floyd knows he can no longer compete with an athlete like Kahn. Kahn has struggled recently but that was against hard hitting tough guys Floyd is neither. Kahn will light Floyds a$$ on fire and Floyd soft potshots wont hurt Kahn at 147. Floyds only chance is a ko and he wont get it. Floyd is just the perfect opponent for Kahn.Posted December 30, 2013 7:08 pm
Floyd Mayweather Jnr vs Manny Paquiao is the only fight the public want to see at 147. Anything else are easy paydays for the champ and the challenger.Posted December 30, 2013 7:01 pm
I thought Golovkin might call out Khan being smaller and chinny. GGG could use Khan as target practice for a Floyd match up at 154 because that is who GGG likes to pick on, Welters and Jnr Middles. I hear Maidana is on GGG 2014 wish list too. Smoke and Mirrors everyone, the hype train is coming to a town near you. Choooooooooo!!! Choooooooooo!!!Posted December 30, 2013 6:58 pm
I’ll keep saying it over and over. Khan will beat FMJ by UD. Better speed, better power, better stamina, throws more punches. The only issue is Khans china chin. You heard it here first. Khan will actually make it look like a mismatch.Posted December 30, 2013 6:55 pm
Limeyjay- People people, I understand what you are all saying. Does Khan have good boxing skills. Of course he does. Can he win against Mayweather. NO. Here is the thing Danny Garcia got to Amir Khan. If you believe that Khan will give Mayweather a good competive fight then you must agree that Danny has a better shot at Mayweather then…no?! What did Danny’s dad do to Khan? He got under his skin. What does Mayweather do to his opponents before he fights? He gets under their skin too. Bottomline, Khan gets reckless, he falls for taunts ( one of Mayweather’s strengths ) and has no chin. I say if this fight happens it wont go past the full 12 rds. My prediction: TKO under 9 rounds; a win for Mayweather.Posted December 30, 2013 6:47 pm

yo mamma, i said it was outrageous of the author to not give khan credit for that excellent win. i also said i think that maidana would win that fight now. my point is that khan has top attributes that could cause anyone difficulties, if he uses them properly – and, very occasionally, he does.Posted December 30, 2013 6:17 pm

Just how STUPID are we (the fans) suppose to be? Amir (chicken dance) Khan having anything for Floyd Jr? Ridiculous. I’ll bet that Floyd Sr. would beat Khan’s a$$ too. Just how far has prizefighting fallen that we are to see a Mayweather/Khan bout as being competitive? Perhaps it will sell as a freak show, but other than that it has nothing to offer as either an athletic contest or a boxing match.Posted December 30, 2013 5:08 pm
Golovkin is right. A Mayweather/Khan fight is marketable and because it is, it is also good for buxiness. Chttendon is wrong in thinking that fans “won’t be interested in purchasing…” this fight. Mayweather wouldn’t be interested in doing it if he didn’t think it was a good fight for PPV.Posted December 30, 2013 5:05 pm
….. “Predicting the winner of Mayweather Khan is as easy as predicting the winner at 147 if Hearns or Leonard fought Mayweather today.”
Right… The last time Leonard tried to fight he looked terrible against lightweight Hector Camacho, and got stopped early… The last time he fought before that he was only 34 — and Terry Norris mopped the floor with him.
Hearns hasn’t done too well lately either. Never could take a punch and was knocked out 3 times in his 20′s. Floyd does a little better.Posted December 30, 2013 5:02 pm

Khan can box a little, can punch a little and has good speed. He’s a very decent fighter and against Floyd Mayweather, who isn’t the biggest puncher out there or the most aggressive fighter, AK can make the latter stages of the bout, maybe even go the distance…but he won’t win. I think Floyd would stop him in 9 or 10 rounds.Posted December 30, 2013 4:13 pm
Stan they said the same thing about Alverez, The ghost and Gatti, Oscar , Hatton the list goes on and its alwasy the same results, I know the guys saying this would never bet against Floyd. What a joke Floyd cant fight southpaws he can beat a pressure fighters speed will kill him we heard it all before. Everybody had a style to beat him but no one has, Kahn is fast but the dude is easy to hit and thats why he will be another notch on the belt 46 have tried 46 have failed.Posted December 30, 2013 4:10 pm
Roy Jones Jr, and Malignaggi had stated that Khan would be a tough fight for Floyd long before this discussion. It is Khan’s style that may cause Floyd problems. Yes Khan has a glass jaw, so was Lennox Lewis, and he knocked out powerful Heavyweights. Roy Jones Jr. stated that he always had a glass jaw, and was very successful. The question we have to ask is, if Khan’s jaw hold up against Mayweather, does he have a better chance to win the fight? What if he is able to take Mayweather’s punches, and avoid most of them, can he win against the P4P King? That’s the kind of questions we should be asking. Will Mayweather outclass Khan like no other boxer did? A lot of these guys that gave Khan problems didn’t outclass him, they just got a big punch in. Can Mayweather outclass the speedy Khan? That will be something new for Khan. Or will it be the other way around? Will Khan touch and move around the ring against the flatfooted Mayweather? Or will Mayweather change from being flatfooted for this fight, like he did against Judah and Corley? That’s what makes the fight interesting. IMO, this can be the most challenging competition he may have since Cotto.

Kahn has no chin. Tell GGG to fight a real fighter like Martinez ,Cotto or Alverez. Floyd is considering Kahn based on the fact that he can sell tickect skill wise. Kahn got as much chance as a flee on a pit bulls balls. No way does Kahn give Floyd problems he has no jab and he is easy to hit he gets hit with everything crasses hooks every upper cuts Kahns defense is poor and no chin equals easy work. They will try to sell this fight and really Kahn has alot of UK fans who are die hart loyal. Everyone they said would give Floyd problems didnt, remember they said the same thing about Hatton….Posted December 30, 2013 3:42 pm
Lara still has business with other fighters at 154. Like MolinaPosted December 30, 2013 3:41 pm
Everybody wants to fight Floyd… Therefore Floyd gets his pick of who he wants to fight. I don’t expect Floyd to fight his most logical opponents like Lara… Garcia… or Pacquiao… He has to fight somebody, so why not somebody easy???
So Golovkin is right… May-Khan can be successfully promoted and will do brisk business. Fans are ignorant and will buy any Floyd fight. “The GOAT is fighting??? Let’s get some tickets.”
GGG is right. Khan is a very fast boxer and Floyd has problems with speed. If you have a referee who breaks up clinches before they even happen, I see this as a fight Khan can possibly get into the late rounds — because Floyd is not a big puncher. Khan would be highly motivated and Floyd will be 37 years old. Not that he’s lost anything. I haven’t seen Floyd lose a hair of speed or skill at this point.
But how is Floyd going to avoid Lara… Garcia… and Pacquiao when he still has to fight 3 more fights after Khan??? … He just fights other people… BTW, I see Floyd knocking Khan out in 7 rounds.. Floyd isn’t a big hitter but he’s not a mushball puncher like Malignaggi.. Floyd was able to get Hatton and Ortiz out, and they’re as bad as Khan.Posted December 30, 2013 3:27 pm

Floyd has been fighting slow, come forward sluggers who are tailor-made for Mayweather. Other than Canelo they were mostly junior welterweights (ghost, JMM, hatton)… I would love to see him step up the competition. however, I don’t think Khan is a step up. I think Khan would give him fits but would eventually get caught. glassjaw.Posted December 30, 2013 3:08 pm
Oh no they even got triple g trying to sell khan vs Floyd,…… Go ahead and sell yourself on that golden boy we the boxing public know better!, the only problem that khan can possibly give Floyd is more of a bad rep of not fighting the best out there.Posted December 30, 2013 3:08 pm

Here is the real problem, who from Golden Boy and Al Haymon’s stable can give Floyd Mayweather a real competetive fight? Any opponent you match with Floyd, you quickly realize the lopsidedness of that fight. Maidana (whom I like a lot) is way too slow and too open for Mayweather. Khan… for all his faults, has 2 things that would make it a more interesting fight, he has speed & stamina. I like Keith Thurman, but he needs a little more experience. Danny Garcia? He never fought above 140lbs. And to jump up a weight class and take on the Pound for Pound King? Danny is too smart for that, that’s why in every interview regarding a possible Mayweather fight, he is less then enthusiastic to give an answer.
Khan’s just trying to get that paycheck!Posted December 30, 2013 2:54 pm
Golovkin also said that Canelo would BEAT Mayweather!! Khan couldn’t give Diaz problems, so how is he going to give Mayweather problems?Posted December 30, 2013 2:52 pm
Sadly, true knowledge of boxing is not a pre-requisite for the business side of boxing. This is why fans are constantly being cheated from seeing quality matches. Golovkin is a bit too generous in his comment but Khan’s speed will be something Mayweather will factor in his training. Come fight night, in about three rounds, he will have clocked the whole thing to perfection or near-perfection.Posted December 30, 2013 2:52 pm
