P.S. That’s not to say that anyone who calls him- or herself a Muslim is bad, but insofar as they are good is is *in spite of* being a Muslim, never because of it. Muslims are just ordinary people who have had the misfortune of being brought up to believe in the hateful message of one very disturbed and violent pre-medieval paedophile.

I tend to agree — if only because a “good Muslim” is one who follows the example of Muhammad, who was indeed a savage.

KHAN’S MUM

Yes, my husband is right. And after my son destroys Manny and Floyd, he’s going to move up and KO Golovkin, then Kovalev, and finally the Klitschko brothers. He will then retire the most popular man in the world, and be elected Prime Minister of Britain and Pakistan, then the US President and will finally convert all the world to Islam and set up a global Caliphate.

Either that or he’ll get KO’d a few more times, retire and be vaguely remembered as an overhyped kid from Bolton who happened to be able to throw flurries of fast punches — you know, like a hare but with lower IQ due to too many incestuous marriages.

Khan hasn’t the chin to beat Manny in a fight. Forget training camps and sparring. The Pac Man would catch AK with a barrage of shots at some stage and that would be it.

Oh Yeah

Go buy your stocks in humble pie immediately. There will be plenty consumed in 2014. Khan will UD Mayweather Jnr a to the point of a mismatch and Floyd will lose his ‘GOAT’ and ‘ATG’ and ‘HOF’ tags in one swoop. Khan is faster, fitter, more powerful. You heard it here first. Mayweather will need another Ortiz sucker punch to get the ‘W’ in this one

Kahn beats Pacquiao! He’s familiar with his style, strengths and bad habits…..he can keep Pac at bay……even frustrating him! I’m sure Hunter knows & believes this, and has possibly prodded his new protege to take him!

Posted January 1, 2014 12:04 am

Boys, Khan could keep Mayweather at bay with a quick, powerful, consistent, repetitive jab. Khan has to fight behind his jab in order to be effective against Floyd. He’ll also have to buff up his feinting skills, and hopefully Hunter will have taught him that his head isn’t attached to his shoulders with a stick, and that he needs to move it–and that it will move.

Khan has blazing fast hands and good power. His weakness is not in his offensive skills. It’s in his defense. Garcia may have beaten Khan by TKO but Khan stopped Judah in four rounds whereas Judah went the distance with Danny.

Also, remember that Khan is still in transition. Roach made a mess of him. Hunter will do a much better job with Khan but it takes time. I don’t think Khan will have improved enough by the time he faces Mayweather, but I still think he can give Floyd a good fight. Until Floyd stops him.

Peej, if a Mayweather/Khan fight meets Mayweather’s and ShowTimes requirements for a PPV, Khan certainly deserves a fight with Floyd. After all, Floyd does not fight for his fans. He fights for money. Same reason Showtime inked a deal with him. for Six fights and $200 million.

It all comes down to accuratcy, Floyd dont need to throw a lot of punches if all of them are hitting home. He throws mostly of counters lead rights and body shots, basically he wears guys out and walks them down to easy wins he mixes it up so that he cannot be figured out because if you figure him out you can beat him Thats all Floyd does he figures guys out and stays two steps ahead. Manny is another one dementional fighter he has a high punch out put, But in the last few fights he had no power. His defense leaves him open Manny gets hit too much to beat Floyd your defense has to be at a high level, Unfortunately we dont have guys of this era with the skills you have to be a all around fighter to beat a all around fighter. Oscar, Castello had good fights on Floyd but so did Zab and Shane and in the latter rounds all of the guys fell short, Stamina they didnt have . Castello have a good 3 rounds in the later rounds Floyd whopped his ass. Same with Oscar you have to be on a bike to beat him. No one dementional guy can beat him. People who dont know boxing will say this guy can that guy can and the result are always the same. Kahn is very dementional. One he have KO power? No, Does he have good defense? No Speed alone wont make a difference reason being he wont be able to hit Floyd at all. He will simply get out boxed. People talk all this crap about punch outputs and speed but if you constantly missing what difference does it make it will only tire you out and get you ass beat ask Alverez, Floyd actually wants guy like Manny to throw alot of punches becaue he knows they will never be able to hit him. People probaly wont really appreciate Floyd until after he retires then will will be left with whats left then they will see the difference between good and great…

Peak Pacman would have beaten Floyd and Floyd knew it. Now is another story, Pacman not as fast and shows some signs of wear and tear. I hope they do not fight and let the speculation continue as to who would have won.

Captain Kirk’s Nipples

1. Pac would beat Maidana easy, it would be another Rios-like fight. Pac hits him with combinations and moves constantly. Maidana won’t be able to walk him down and corner him IMO.
2. Maidana knocks out Khan easy, if they fight.
3. Mayweather would beat Maidana, but he would have a harder time than Pac IMO. He throws one punch at a time. Maidana would try to walk him down for 12 rounds and eat his shots to land 1-2 of his own. He may get through, but I don’t think he can be a thread to Mayweather.

Na, Floyd lost 1st fight to Castillo 3/4 rounds. Wasn t that close to argue. He was robbed cuz lil Floyd had a baddy shoulder. I bet Bob Arum regrets fixing that fight for lil Floyd now. As a result he s gone on to earn a fortune cuz his precious fake 0.Didn t see the second but sounds like Floyd won well. Oscar fight was close and could have gone either way but he ran out of puff so Floyd looked better in final round so probably swayed the judges (or did i mean paid?).Can the Floyd brigade please ask their hero to make the fight with Manny. I dont hate Floyd.I dont care who wins just want to see it so we can all move on……. and throw a party when Manny smashes him!( Just kidding ) Be interesting to see if Floyds one shot at a time can really work against Mannys 10 coming back at him

Despite his delusions about what would happen is Khan fought Pacquiao (in a real fight, with 8oz gloves, not sparring between friends), “Khan’s Dad” is right that Khan should be looking to fight the likes of Morales rather than Mayweather. If he can get by an old, washed up Morales, nobody will call him a “legend slayer”, but he might at least earn the right to try to avenge his loss to Garcia. (And if he wants any chance whatsoever of being a HOFer one day, he needs to avenge this, as well as his other losses to Prescott and Peterson.

But really, who can imagine Khan NOT getting KO’d against Garcia, or Provodnikov, or Matthysse?

As for Pacquiao and Mayweather, that’s at welterweight, and Khan would have to move up there to earn a shot. But again, there’s no doubt he’d get sparked out by the likes of Maidana (who has improved greatly since moving up to 147), Thurman, Guerrero, Rios et al. — never mind Pacquiao, Marquez and Mayweather.

I can see why Khan would like to have one last massive payday (after all, he’s too thick and inarticulate to be a commentator when he retires, so needs to save so that he can continue to fund his extended family of leaches), but he really should have to EARN a shot at the likes of Pacquiao and Mayweather. Thus, I like Khan’s Dad’s suggestion that he take on old Morales: that’s more realistic, given how Khan has been performing over the past few years. If he wins that, then he can start thinking about a rematch with Garcia, and when Garcia KOs him again, he can try to live off his (mostly undeserved) fame for the rest of his life by appearing on D-list celebrity Reality TV shows…).

I thought the first fight with Castillo could have went either way. I had it a draw… Delahoya used his size advantage and jab to gain an early lead over Mayweather, but by the forth round Mayweather was dictating the fight, and won it by at least 2-3 rounds.

Patience – I remember the fist Castillo fight, and yes, the wrong man got the W. That said, FM immediately rematched Castillo and there was no question about who won the second. As for the DLH FM fight, if you listen to the announcers, then you would think DLH won, but watch it muted. DLH opened up the fight well, but FM systematically picked him apart. And as for DLH’s jab, FM took it away from him. It was a close fight, but that is one that the judges got right. DLH was still getting help from the judges those days. He was clearly stomped by BH (before the KO) and one judge had him winning, the Sturm fight was a complete farce, and he got help from the judges again with FM. He was living off his name at that point. His last great performance was against SSM, and Mosley was juiced that night, which is why he never got tired. Everything after that was a man trying for one more grasp at glory.

WOW,just watched Mayweather v Castillo 1 for the 1st time.Castillo really did beat on Floyd. A bit like Maidana on lil bro Broner ! Atleast Maidana didn t get robbed. I have Floyd being beat twice now,the other Oscar although a draw at best for Floyd.Should have been a rematch.Im sure Pacman would oblige to a rematch if/when Mayweather takes the plunge and gets beat again. Why is it in Mayweather fights the refs pull the fighters apart instead of letting them fight inside. Floyd pushes, pulls, leans on back of head, sticks forearms/elbows in face what ever it takes to stop the other guy working but refs allow it time and time again? They must be getting paid a handsome amount.

Khan is a hiorrible fight for either MP or FM. He hasn’t done anything to earn it and either guy will destroy him. He has speed and power, and neither one of those will help him against FM or MP. KHAN’S DAD

Listen, fools. Amir stood Manny on his head in sparring, time after time after time. Amir’s hand speed had Manny blinking and punching at air. Ask him? Go on ask him? Ask Freddie? Ask anyone who was there at the sparring sessions. People keep talking woof about manny taking it easy on Amir, when in all truth Amir took it easy on Manny once he realised he had the beating of the Top Rank golden boy. Amir will use all those little tricks he learned from Freddie and will be eager to show the pupil is younger, stronger, quicker and more accurate than the master. If Marquez was landing them shots on Manny then Amir will be tatooing a whole load of new tats on Manny for free and without those dreaded needles. My son is so keen to prove himself he will put his friendship of Manny to one side, beat him up and then put an arm round him when the fight is over. I will even wager a bet that Manny will be pulled out by his corner well before the end. Manny has never faced a speedy fighter in his entire career and you can find his comments on the internet regarding his sparring sessions with my son. It is nothing personal, but Amir needs this win more than Manny.

Posted December 31, 2013 9:46 am

Khan is just desperate for a big payday. No one should give it to him because he hasn’t earnt it. Let him go up against some of the top fighters at 147 first. If he can beat them, and thereby earn himself a shot at Mayweather or Pacquiao at 147, fair enough, but it’s very unlikely he would succeed, and right now he is very far from being at the top of the junior welterweight division, never mind welterweight, at which he has never fought.

Plus, the idea that Khan is “really popular in the UK” is simply not true. Very few people even like him, and you would never get tens of thousands of fans following him to Las Vegas like they did Ricky Hatton. He might get an entourage of relatives, but that’s about it.

So in short Amir, get in line, see if you can earn yourself a shot, and in the meantime be careful because it’s been windy lately and you’re likely to get blown down.

Anonymous, you talk like Khan has been knocked out ten times. He only has three losses on his record, two of which were by KO (one KO and one TKO). About the only times rematches happen is when a fight is very close or controversial. There’s usually nothing close or controversial about a KO. I mean, a rematch should have been ORDERED following Mayweather’s controversial sucker-punch KO of Ortiz. But that didn’t happen either, even though it was one of the poorest reffed fights in recent boxing history. But he’s the wonder boy of boxing so nobody wants to tarnish his star–especially the WBC who stands to make a nice chunk of change every time Mayweather defends his belt. That was one of the hokiest fights I’ve ever seen.

I think its sad.I believe his daddy pushed him into it being forced to fight as a young kid even though maypole dancing was probably on his mind. Being a fine athlete he has done very well in a scaredy cat kind of way.Atleast now he has enough money to set up his own Mayweather maypole dancing schools worldwide

If anyone follows Khan on twitter (I recently stopped), he talks about everything but boxing. He loves the money and limelight, but isn’t prepared to put in the work these days. He was on a comedy panel show recently and got introduced as ‘one of the worlds best boxers’ and didn’t even look embarrassed. What world is that then, cos it ain’t this one? Give prescott and rematch. Julio Diaz? Khans next fight could seriously be his last.

Why are people so hard on Khan? Sure he was stopped early in his career by Prescott and KO’ed against Garcia but I had him ahead clearly in that fight. Against Peterson he was robbed and the rematch cancelled due to Lamont being a proven cheat. His flaw of wanting to trade with suspect whiskers is his downfall but his willingness to fight all should be admired and he would seek to avenge any of his losses (bar Prescott who has gone backwards and offers very little reward) given the chance. He can be very upright and a bit amateurish at times , going back in straight lines but has serious speed, a bit of power and is never in a dull fight.

Problem with Mayweather he is scared to get hit and have a fight. He shows no fighting spirit. He should be called Floyd THE AVOID Mayweather.Avoids Manny.Avoids an entertaining fight.Avoids what the fans want to see.Avoids his biggest fear. I saw the fight against Lamont, and Khan cheated every possible way in the ring. Plus, Khan showed Olympic sprinter (in reverse) speed bailing out of every engagement where he could not hold, grab, wrestle, push, headlock and so on. What a disgusting performance by Khan.

I’m no fan of Khan, but I did see the fight against Lamont, and khan got robbed, robbed against a man using peds…so how can that be counted as a legitimate loss? Maidana fight was 50/50, other refs would’ve stopped maidana battering khan a couple of times, and he did scrape past Molina and Diaz. I think Marquez vs Khan would be good to see…jmm walking through khan then knocking him outin the mid rounds would be the icing on the cake. Then khan can stop looking for a payday. And perhaps start fighting at domestic/commonwealth level.

Losing patience!

I dont think Khan deserves a shot at either guy. If Pac hits him with 20 percent power Khans gone.As for Mayweather ive been watching his boxing lately and dont understand how someone who throws single shots all night (and not many of them) then holds or runs can keep getting the W. Theres something missing big time compared to the greats.I feel if he through combos he would have more knockouts and been in some exciting fights but maybe lost some on the way.if the past greats thought like Floyd maybe they would have the 0 on their record but boxing would have died. Past greats all had a fighting spirit and desire to destroy their opponent which is why we loved to watch them.Sugar Ray Robinson (Walker Smith) was the best and displayed all the qualities for a true great. Plus they Ducked nobody.Floyds mastered the art of boring matches and not engaging in a fight very well. But he will be forgotten

Shawn- is right Mayweather promoter is the one coming up with excuses every week not to fight Manny Paquiao. This will be a multimillion fight more than anything Mayweather had ever made in a fight. But, there’s video proof showing Mayweather saying that Paquiao has walked through fighters and divisions like nothing. Mayweather belief is that Manny is either better than him and could beat him or he was on something. Paquiao took Mayweather to court an won a settlement. Mayweather states in the video that no money in the world would get him to fight Manny because his health is more important than money. This video is on YouTube.

To me, if Floyd fights Pac, Khan, GGG, Martinez or the Pope, that wouldn’t make a difference because he beats them all…I don’t see Amir looking good not even for a second against Jr., not even a second…Pac would be equally over-matched because that disjointed attack of his would never work against Floyd. Floyd would get his dues years & years after he retires undefeated but for now the fans that despise him won’t give him a rest. It won’t matter in the end though.

I love the sport of boxing, but do not want to see anyone get hurt in the ring. Amir Khan would get seriously and permanently hurt if he were to climb inside the same ring with the legendary, 8 time division champion, Manny Pacquiao. The same goes for Provodnikov and Danny Garcia. I’m not sure if Khan watched what Manny did to Hatton, Cotto, Margarito, Diaz, Morales, Barrera and others. Manny is a dangerous, explosive punching machine that has broken bones of all kinds. Khan must be protected from ever fighting Pacquiao. I do not want to see anyone permanently hurt. There is life after boxing.

Manny can make a lot of money without Floyd, he still is a star, sells a lot of tickets. I love how PBF fans claim that PBF would easily beat Pac-man. Lol…..isn’t that so funny and ridiculous. Folks, if PBF thought he could easily beat Pac-man, this fight would have been made in 2009, don’t kid yourselves. All of these excuses, the newest one being that Arum is Pac-man’s promoter, is all in an effort to avoid the fight. All you have to do is look closely at the one who is making the most excuses and the one who continues to come up with barriers, and then you will find out who is avoiding who. Nuff said.

You guys are looking at this from the fan perspective what you have to see is Pacs predicament. Pac needs money he is in a tight spot at this point in time. Big fight that would help him is Mayweather but we want see that until 2015. In the mean time Pac needs money and he can’t take a risky fight where he can be injured or beaten. Pac knows he want make what he needs but at this stage until the Mayweather golden parachute arrives Pac is in a tough spot.

Yo Momma Manny and his fans dont need to focus on Floyd. Right now that should be the least of his concern he needs to pay them bills because that tax man is on his ass. Maybe Floyd can sign him up for public assistance, food stamps or a little something something. And maybe if he wasnt focused on Floyd he would have seen that left hook from Marquez. lol

Manny Pacquioa is getting pimped but at least he makes it known hes been waiting for Floyd. Floyd always come up with something. He says he has a trip to make or he has a prostate exam or whatever excuse he can conjure up to avoid Pacquioa talks. Why else would he NOW talk mess and tweet those taunts at Pacquioa? Cause Mayweather knows hes safe. Mayweather know with that Marquez KO, he can now argue he doesnt have to face Pacquioa. He knows he has all the leverage.

Posted December 31, 2013 12:28 am

Captain Kirk’s Nipples

Floyd will not intimidate Pac. Pacquiao came from the slums, lived on the streets, had nothing, ate trash, started boxing at age 16. He is blessed naturally with both, punching power and speed. Everybody who has ever boxed (go on youtube) will tell you that he has been the fastest they have faced and hits hard. He was never schooled in the amateurs, didn’t go through Golden Gloves or the Olympics. In my opinion, he has more “talent” than Floyd to be a fighter. Mayweather was schooled in boxing since he was a baby. And he potrays himself how tough his childhood was, but it is BS. As I mentioned before, he is a scam artist. Pac can be beaten when boxed, he can be outboxed by a pure boxer. Floyd runs but he takes chances; he got away with it in his fights (Castillo, Judah, Hatton, ODH, Mosley, Cotto, etc), BUT he never faced anybody with Pac’s speed and will be hit. I hope we will see it one day. Even a “washed up” Pac (the Pac who made Rios look like a school boy) will give Floyd trouble he hasn’t seen before…

Name anyone who in the sport of boxing wwho would turn down a chance to fight Floyd and 40 million cash? Manny when on to fight Marquez for 3 million and got KTFO, but he is so great and Floyd is scared what a joke. Reality is Manny signed his own fate now he has to live with what comes with it. 68 million in taxes to the U.S. Now he in under investigation from the Phillipines because they say he owes them too, instead of focusing on Floyd he should have been looking out for Marquez hook , or better yet at his tax lawyers because right now he needs to worry about them bills. He might wind up in prison with nothing Floyd should be his last concern at this point.

Mad that he forget Floyd low left hand, then it’s works to floyd advantage got the jab going that he can’t see comming and that set up his. Styles make fights. The Pacquiao who beat ODH, Hatton, Cotto and Margacheato would have given Mayweather a loooot of trouble. Golden Boy is not dealing with Top Rank. Also HBO is not taking GB Fighters and Top Rank won’t Fight on Showtime anymore. SO this is a transparent EMPTY threat. And Floyd KNOWS it. Khan has no leverage….GOOD try though. Khan has a fan friendly style and that’s just about all he has going for him along with his fan base. ….OH and he’s another stoppage WIN on Floyd’s resume SO I guess he DOES have a little leverage. He’s a stoppage WIN that Floyd can get paid WELL for. Who ELSE out there provides that? Pacquiao DOES but that Fight isn’t feasible until he’s a NON Top Rank Fighter. Maidana could be stopped by Floyd TOO but I say he goes 12 for the LOPSIDED LOSS.

I take it your a fan of his? Maybe? If the fights are exciting (think Pacquioa/Marquez) or if the people ask for a rematch to redeem the fighter then there are rematches made. Khan doesnt do any of those. He gets KTFO usually and fans chant he redeem himself instead he walks away. Call it what you want but thats ducking. He instead wants to get PAID. Thats what Khan is about, money. He could care less if he was being sent to get slaughtered. Its a greedy ambition but hey, its his health. So lets face the facts. He would call out a heavyweight if he would get PAID. He has good boxing skills but ultimately its his greed/mind and his fragile chin that put him at a disadvantage. Good fighter? Decent fighter I would say. He falls short of good. I would rank him higher on my list if he was more concentrated in the sport and more disciplined.

Prince, when are you going to understand the economics of pro boxing? Khan can “earn” a fight with Mayweather simply because he brings money to the table in the form of PPVs. Floyd has stated that he will fight anyone if the money is right. Now, he’s not going to fight a “bum” and Khan is no bum, but a Mayweather/Khan fight would likely be an excellent PPV–that’s all Floyd, or ShowTime care about.

Just because Khan faced and lost some HIGH profile fights doesnt mean he doesnt duck anyone. It means hes just too $tupid to realize he’s being sent to the slaughter house like cattle. He ducks REMATCHES after he gets his butt whooped. He would fight my grandmother for the right price and he’d probably get KO and duck the rematch.

Havoc, where you been? Hatton got knocked out by Senchenko, the guy Malignaggi stopped by TKO, in Hatton’s only attempt to return from retirement. Khan would kick Hatton’s a$$. But Hatton’s already gone back into retirement. For good. Besides that, no one would want to see a Khan/Hatton fight.

Love-the-Sport, that was a cute little sonata, but name one fighter Khan has ever ducked. If you can, then prove he ducked him (or them). Khan has fought some high-caliber opponents. He’s lost twice in his last 10 fights and was TKO’d by Danny Garcia, but Garcia is beating everyone he fights. But Khan hasn’t been messing around. Since 2009 he has fought Diaz, Molina, Garcia, Peterson, Judah, McCloskey, Maidana, Malignaggi, Salita, Kotelnik, and Barrera. That’s a pretty darn good resume.

Personally, I think Khan is looking for one last big fight to cash out on and either Mayweather or Pacquiao could give him that pay day, although the fight with Mayweather would probably earn him the most.

Khan calling out the top dogs! Hahahahahahah…He should call out Ricky Hatton and force him out of retirement. Bet Hatton will beat him.

The Prince

The ramblings of a desperate man looking to talk his way into a big payday rather than earn it. That’s A-Mere-Con.

can’t believe Khan is in the mix at all. He has been exposed years ago and wouldn’t give any top fighter any worries. When is his 15 minutes up?

“I honestly don’t think Pacquiao would take a fight against Khan, even if his promoter Bob Arum and Golden Boy blessed the fight.”

Sure he would. Money talks and they no longer train in the same camp together. There’s a big PPV fight. But who knows, maybe Khan is saying he wants to fight Pacquiao just to motivate Mayweather to sign the contract.

Hi my name is Amir Khan … and I will fight Floyd Mayweather — if Floyd wants to fight me … I will fight Manny Pacquiao … if Manny wants to fight me.

In fact, I would fight Danny Garcia … if Danny wants to fight me.

I would fight Lucas Matthysee … if Lucas wants to fight me.

I would fight Brandon Rios … if Brandon wants to fight me.

As a matter of fact, I would fight Ronda Rousey .. if Ronda wants to fight me.

I would fight Gina Carano … if Gina wants to fight me.

I would fight Michelle Obama … if Michelle wants to fight me.

I would fight anybody … Please somebody fight me. OK. Most of these fights would not work because all of these guys would knock me out and Ronda Roussey would break my arm and Gina Carano has bigger legs than me and would stop on me and crush.

But you guys have to admit … Michelle Obama has some guns. And Amir Khan vs. Michelle Obama … this is a winning fight. I can take her best shot. Somebody please fight me.

Is he aware that he won’t be wearing his head gear like he used to in sparring? Khan don’t deserve a match with niether guy!

DAMM, Mayweather is looking like a Put$$Y..Manny Paquiao silence is becoming powerful with each day that goes by and Mayweather don’t chose an opponent. He knows people are paying attention and he better deliver or else he is close to the end. Maidana Vs Mayweather sounds good.

This sounds like a slap in the face to Mayweather. Khan is saying Mayweather don’t have the balls to fight Paquiao but I do!!!!! WOW.. LOL..
