There are plenty of Floydiots out there. When is Floyd going to fight a live dog? If he fought Pacquiao he’d be in with one. So he makes nothing but excuses forever and ever. What a coward.

Funny how Mayweather traded 50Cent (Curtis Jackson) for Justin Beiber. All you have to do is look at his inner circle. Mayweather rather play with the little boys than hang out with real men. His fears are apparently obvious.

Posted January 3, 2014 11:13 am

Bill Patrice Jones

The fight was primed to be the single biggest boxing event of the last two decades around 2008-2009. It was impossible for it be any red hotter as both men held different kinds of unbeatable super hero statuses. Floyd badly hurt boxing by ducking Pacquiao back then. Even if they do make the fight now it still wont ever be what it could have once. Floyd wanted Pacquiao to deteriorate with age, which he has done the past 4 years. Floyd was, is, and always will be the betting favourite but he was always smart enough to know that Pacquiao was so fast and had such great power for his size that realistically he was the only opponent who could have scored a SD through sheer punch volume. It’s really that simple.

Who gives a f#€k if he knocks him out! That’s not the point! The point is, we’ll never see this fight happen because of the dumb arse demands from the Mayweather camp. The question(s) need to be answered, and the only way to find out is to fight asap; you know, before they become two old men with nothing left!

Why NOW with no cut off date, against a guy that a pedestrian could knock out with enough Grey Goose in his system!!??? COOL DRUG PAC gets a PASS because he sings, dances & is a PART TIME politician…..My BAD….he could NEVER take DRUGS…..he’s SMILES so much that he could NEVER raise a needle to his arm…..how DARE we visualize such a thing….he’s RELIGIOUS!!!! Shame on me for thinking such a thing for THREE FAILED NEGOTIATIONS!!!!

Mayweather is a BIT EMBARRASED that he DID want Manny to take the tests, but he shouldnt be….he saw something that wasnt NORMAL: moving up in weight and beating BIGGER opposition with a RELENTLESS style ….a relentless style that CAME OUT OF NO WHERE!!! Mayweather is not bringing up that again, because others fought him (Manny) AFTER his DRUG reign!!! Of Course Mayweather is gonna say he’s one dimensional – its all part of the mind warfare!!! What youre saying is that NO psychological warfare is ALLOWED!???? Thats been here since the BEGINNING of TIME: to PSYCH an opponent out!! Use your head!!

Pac is NOT THAT BAD of a FIGHTER! I’ll admit THAT!! With DRUGS in his system he’d be a WRECKING BALL! His STAMINA would INCREASE, his POWER would increase AND his AGGRESSION! Overall Pac has a decent “set” of punches that he administers, especially the straight right! With the DRUGS Pac moves like a Tasmanian Pitbull (aint no such thing, but DRUG-Pac moves like one…lol)!! He DID NOT WANT to TAKE the TESTS….then he DID with STUPID stipulations that would LEAVE OUT the purpose of RANDOM testing….Google what the President of the Olympics said when BOTH camps came to his organization…..then come back and QUOTE what TEAM PACROID agreed to….TEAM PACROID is in DA HOUSE once again leading the PACTARDS!!!!

Punches from any hand from any direction gives Floyd the willies. They are going to try and out wait Manny and use every excuse possible. Floyd is SCARED of loosing his first and he will avoid Manny until he reaches fight number 50. One passed the White Man record. And at that point who gives a rats ass about Floyd. What people have to remember that it’s not a disgrace to lose a boxing match. This is a one-on-one sport and there has to be a winner and a loser. Manny Pacquiao has five losses. So what? In boxing, the judges can beat you. Most of the ring legends lost, at least several times. Ali lost five times. Jack Johnson, Jack Dempsey, Joe Louis, Ray Robinson, Willie Pep all lost. So did Hagler, Ray Leonard, Hearns, Duran. Lennox Lewis was flattened twice. Floyd has his ‘0’, but he won’t necessarily be remembered with as much respect as these legends. Manny is an All Time Great too and a Floyd-Manny bout is still attractive, especially if Pac Man gets another good win beforehand. Make the fight in 2014!

LOL, I’l say one thing about Pactards, they love Manny… Marquez chased the majority of them into hiding after that horrific loss… Now they’re back after the Rios win, as though Pac never took the longest nap in ring in 2012. You can call it luck all you want, but that punch caused major damage. Beating Rios didn’t dig him out of the hole Marquez put him in. The only thing that’ll get him out of that hole is Mayweather. And it’s not look like Maywwather is willing to dig Pacquioa out of that hole…

Posted January 2, 2014 4:02 pm

Boxtradamus

IF getting knocked down once and knocked out once is what you call dominating then Cotto was dominating vs Pacquiao TOO.

He may have paid him, that is what was reported. Thing is there is proof of that. There is no proof of Floyd failing any test. Only rumors. So once again another whole in your theory. Sounds to me like Pac and company where scared of Floyd.

I could care less about punch stats. You can judge your fights on punch stats but I don’t. Go by punch stats and Marquez won the first 2 fights. So that puts holes in your theory.

Pacquiao will kayo Mayweather I can guarantee you. Marquez got the lucky punch against Pacquiao. It’s not like Marquez dominated the 4th fight. He was getting walked down his face busted with a broken nose when Pac got careless and stepped on his foot and couldn’t react on time that’s what makes a fifth fight appealing . People will remember the fluke knockout but Pac is still up with 2-1-1 advantage.

People talk all this Manny 09 crap who cares its 2014, why didnt he take the blood test in 09? Manny beat Oscar, Cotto and Margecheat at a dehydrated 147 these guys are junior middleweights, Floyd beat Cotto and Oscar at 154lbs. And since 09 who has Manny destrayed? No one so who cares about 09, with Floyd there will be not catch weight. Manny has never beat a pure boxer or anyone undefeated that says it all also champions avenge there loses he hasnt really no one care about poor Manny exept the tax man. It will all come to light I knew it was Manny was a KO machine now he has no power? Reason being he is not longer on his power pellets. Straight up no way he beats Floyd is too fast and accurate if Marquez did him like that. Manny is clean that what he has no power, Never in the history of the sport was a guy moved up and gained power like Manny he was either a freak of natural or it was a lie, and if it wasnt a lie why would he turn down the biggest fight of his career for a simple drug test? Since then he has been on the delcine KO power is gone along with is ability to make money and pay his taxes..

Aye yeah a guys looses 2 out of his last three fights then yes its pretty much over for him news flash…lol And unless Manny fights bums like another Rios its bond to happen no way he comes out winning over Bradley or Ruslan. if the fights either of these guys next you can forget it. Arum knows it thats why he is looking for guys he knows Manny can beat. But he will get is ass handed to him again for sure. What are Garcia, Miadana or Mallinagi? You never hear these guys maes all you hear is Floyd this and that. Yes back in 09 it would have been a hot fight the biggest now, Manny should get more creditable wins before he steps up. Think of how big it would be to Fight Floyd coming off a impressive win of anyone I mentioned. It can be just as big as if it was 09, But again, Manny looses again and it all over for dude.

What happened to Broner, is what most fans want to see happen to Floyd… Difference is, Broner’s a real fighter who faces real threats, while Floyd cherry-picks lead-foots to stay undefeated!

Posted January 2, 2014 2:59 pm

I seriously doubt that. But whatever that is your opinion. I guess the difference here is Pac is the one losing and Floyd isn’t. But that is sports. The winning team normally gets more popular while the losing one doesn’t. The winning ones get more money, the losing ones dont. Its simple economics.

4 years ago, Manny refused testing and came out smelling like a rose fighting a series of Top Rank fighters… Today Mayweather is Manny’s get out of jail free pass. There would be nothing better for Pac than a Mayweather fight win or lose. There would be nothing better than a Pac fight for Mayweather if he wins. However if he loses, then he would be sitting in the same spot Pacquiao is now.. Mayweather isn’t going to be Pac’s lottery ticket with out a lot of concessions, that Arum won’t let happen.

Stop with the arguably the more popular fighter. PPV numbers says plenty about that so that puts your theory to rest. And Pac had no basis to have Rios take the test. So why is it ok for him to demand fighters to take the test, someone who has never failed but it isn’t ok for Floyd to ask him to take the test. Stop with the double standards.

Losing patience!

PACS not lost his power. He s just trying to fool the Mayweathers into thinking that, to lure Floyd into the ring. PAC dont need to knock Floyd out anycase he outworks him. He throws to many punches and Floyds face will tell the true story even if the bent judges give Fraud the win if it goes 12. The stats after the fight will show this just like in the 1st Castillo fight when Floyd really lost. Floyd couldn t live with the pace. The straight left will land plentiful. he might make Manny miss more often with his running and amazing shoulder rolls but Manny will still land alot more than Floyd who will also be grabbing hold of Manny all night and the ref will let him do so. Mannys recent opponents have all got great chins plus he is now at welter and small at the weight. Its like Floyd fighting at middle in comparison. His KO s were mostly at lighter than welter but he still hits way hard enough. Any case times running out and needs to happen 2014! Victory for Floyd is when Manny can no longer pull the trigger/retires and Floyd dont have to face him. He has waited this long so whats another year or two. He dont really care about LEGACY or what the fans want. Just money and his precious 0!

Actually Pac had zero justification. Rios never came up dirty on anything. So where is his justification? Rios is Marquez. Oh wait Pac did have justification, he had just hired Ariza. You need to stop covering for Pac, it makes you look bad. Like you want cheats in the sport.

Pac will not be getting the fight anytime soon, if ever… The only leverage Pac has for a fight is Pacfans. That KO loss, knocked Pac down a few notches. Now he’ll more than likely have to fight more Top Rank fighters… Bradley is a must for Pac at this point, and he should steer clear of Provo.

Your right, I never did and I still don’t. But again, why didn’t he take the testing. If you have nothing to hide you take the test. Oh wait it is principle because of the way Floyd said he was on something. But yet Floyd sticks to his principle on not working with Arum and he is scared. lol

People claim Marquez was on something by hiring someone with no proof. Yet Rios comes up dirty for the first time with a new member in his camp, a new member who just had been fired by Pac but yet Pac fans say there was nothing funny going on. lol, makes me laugh

Pacquiao said in an interview , ” if they think I’m a ‘ has been ‘ then why not fight me. It is easy for him to beat me then why not fight me ?” And I say amen. It’s time for Floyd to fight Manny and let’s see how true the statement will be. Their problem is they are trying to win the fight by words not by deed. Honestly, without Manny Pacquiao, Mayweather is the best. Most of us who wants Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight are boxing fan not just a fan of a single fighter. One can say both Manny and Floyd doesn’t need each other. They both are already Hall of Famers. But in the annals of history Mayweather cannot claim he is the number one because he did not fight Manny. Manny is not after the “greatest fighter of all time ” Mayweather is. When their names are hang in the walls of the Hall of Fame they will be regarded as equal. Mayweather cannot bring his head up high in front of other boxers.

I doubt they will be regarded as equals. And if Pac and company really wanted the fight they would of taken the fight already. Called Floyds bluff if they think he is actually scared of Pac. But they haven’t. Floyd wanted to fight Oscar and he conceded everything to Oscar. Floyd didn’t complain, he went in and beat Oscar. Pac and company always have something to complain about.

Here is Pacs problem, doesn’t have defense, he comes in with his all offensive attack and gets countered. He has no answer for Floyds jab or inside game. Which means he will lose most rounds and possibly even KOd.

Here is PBF’s problem, because of PAC’s non-stop work rate PBF may lose most of the rounds 10-9 and play catch up. If PBF opens up he may get hit squarely and does not want to take that chance.

“Just because you are just one of the top two draws in ppv, does not mean you get to steer the career of a future opponent”. i couldn’t have described Pacquiao’s* ascent in boxing any better. promotional clout and marketability have consistently enabled Pacquiao* to handpick, browbeat, and compromise vulnerable opponents while avoiding his primary rivals. however, the relatively meager number of paying viewers for his comeback bout v. Rios have established that Pacquiao* is no longer a “top draw”, which is why he can’t dictate purse-split and location of a potential 5th and final bout to redeem his BRUTAL KO loss to Marquez or for a stale showdown v. the still undefeated and #1 P4P Floyd. “Money” is the draw. in a page from Team Pacquiao’s* own mismatchmaking playbook, Pacquiao* is simply an appealing Name that Floyd can exploit to pad his own ATG ring-legacy.

Posted January 2, 2014 1:14 pm

Ricky Vincent

Floyd* Mayweather, cherry-picker extraordinaire. He’ll regret not meeting Manny Pacquiao when the years go by… Floyd* Duckweather.

Posted January 2, 2014 1:06 pm

Motivator

Pacquaio is past his glory days – not because of age, but simply because his focus is split –
his church and political activities have taken him out of the warrior mindset …
Mayweather will whip him now, but could NOT have beaten him 2-3 years ago (that’s why he ducked Pac, to preserve his damned ‘record’) …

Posted January 2, 2014 1:05 pm

te tumbo

the primary reason that Pacquiao* is no longer scoring KOs is that presumably opponents have learned to respect his punching speed and power in spite of his flyweight origins. consequently, Manny* just doesn’t possess the raw 147lb-caliber offensive power or durability to simply pry open an opponent’s defense. in fact, if you look at any bout in which Pacquiao* is forced to think or adapt v. a thoroughly-prepared opponent (Barrera II, Morales I, Bradley, Marquez III and IV) and he becomes a virtually impotent, “boring”, and “cowardly chicken”. darting in and out and hopping from ring-post to ring-post for increasingly suspect and controversial scorecard wins and losses. No KOs. No TKOs. not even the flash-KDs that he used to score with regularity. after all, once you strip away the promotional and “expert” hype, Pacquiao* remains the same single-fisted, one-dimensional, and predictable puncher that opponents can prepare for with utter confidence and minimal fear of any technical improvements or surprises, e.g.,”Manila Ice” remains a random occurrence that even surprises Pacquiao* when it lands and his “jab” remains nothing more than a range-finder for his power-Left, which is all an opponent needs to avoid to remain standing and still swinging at the final bell. or in Marquez’s case, triumphantly standing on the ring post while Pacquiao* obliviously snoozes in the opposite corner.

The Honeybadger

Meh. Its pretty clear Manny was never the biggest puncher, but its his style, not his power, that will give Floyd problems. Thing is against bigger fighters Floyd fights terribly well small and against smaller fighters fights big. If Manny knew how to fight on the inside and outside, had a jab, smarter, iron chin, and middleweight power, he’d be a baby Duran. Floyd would be in trouble. Bradley and Marquez were at their best when Manny fought them, unlike Delahoya, Cotton, Hatton, Barrera, Morales. Big difference.

Peej….for once in your life, if you want to be taken seriously, speak with the truth. Pac was offered some money but NOT from PPV proceeds. You see, it takes two to make a deal….Floyd is only one part and both he and Manny are THE top draws in the sport right now. It’s not like Manny’s numbers are anemic compared to Floyd’s, far from it. So given that scenario, Floyd needs to come correct and stop trying to be a thug even in negotiating. The deal he offered was a deal he could have offered say, Hopkins. When you’re talking about fighting the most exciting fighter in the world…..and that’s not Floyd just in case……..you best make credible and honest steps to make it happen. Anything less is pure B.S!!

Sucks even worse when a fighter swears up and down he’s the best in the world and….that supposedly he’s not afraid of any fighter, that he’ll fight anyone but yet, he relinquishes his title instead as soon as Manny is made the mandatory so, instead of tearing Pac’s ass up….as he’s said many times he can do, and collect the BIGGEST purse of his life, he continues playing dodge ball by dabbing lightly into coercion, which is a mild form of extortion…which of course is ILLEGAL, by insisting Pac must leave his promoter in order for Floyd to grow a pair and do business with him. Floyd better hope the Feds are not die hard boxing fans ready to press charges on his ass. To add insult to injury….apart from Floyd’s shenanigan’s in attempting to coerce Pac to leave Top Rank, he has the audacity to charge $75+ for his bogus fights and then think fans will readily accept such nonsense from a fighter who has the gall to call himself P4P yet….fears losing. He’s not afraid physically, just afraid of losing or being embarrassed out of the ring because he knows, it will not be a cakewalk even if he were to win. Just because you are just one of the top two draws in ppv, does not mean you get to steer the career of a future opponet. Dumb ass.!

Cotto never hurt Floyd. Only bloodies his nose. Mosley hurt Floyd but got dominated. Everybody gets excited when Floyd gets briefly hurt or wins 2 rounds. They always want to point that out. Well if Marquez hurt Pac in every fight and KOd him in their last, then Floyd can handle and KO Pac.

Posted January 2, 2014 11:36 am

Captain Kirk’s Nipples

Sr. cannot be taken seriously. Floyd would not tore up anything, unless he can hit a one two combination on a fighter with hands down like he sucker punched Ortiz. Again, if Cotto and Mosley were able to hurt Floyd, Pacquiao will too, he will find the chin and face of Floyd a few times, unless the fight in a ring of the size of a football field. Will him knock him out? Maybe not. Will he hurt him like he did everybody he fought? Hell yes, he would. That’s what they are afraid. Mayweather and father, all mentioned a few times that they are concerned for mayweather’s health. They said it, end of story. It’s just talk of man who are afraid….

It’s better for both boxers to avoid the fight and to earn a little less cash say over 5 fights or even 10 fights than to cash out on each other. When the fight between them both is over, one of them loses out big in gaining a loss and losing notoriety. But then so does the other as the talk is over and too with it so much interest in both boxers.
Even the winners’ pay-per-view figures will substantially decrease as the uncertainty is over. Recently Pacquiao lost by knockout to Juan Manuel Marquez and in turn Pacquiao lost a substantial chunk of his pay per view buys in his next fight against Brandon Rios. So the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight only makes financial sense to Pacquiao at the moment, and why would Mayweather go into that fight knowing the pay per view figures from there on in may decrease losing him cash?

Posted January 2, 2014 5:45 am

WHAT!?!

Now I only read the title so my response is…… then make the damn fight. If the Mayweather camp is so confident……then make the damn fight. If this fight is so much easier than a Khan, Maidana, Garcia, Lara, Provo match-up……then make the damn fight. If this fight will make so much more money than any other……then make the damn fight. There must be a better excuse than “I don’t like Bob Arum”.

The Mayweather clan come out with these statements hourly because drumming up press attention is their business. Why though do idiots like you need to write “articles” on a daily basis based not on boxing but on what one party said with regard to a fight that not only won’t happen but that is long past being all that interesting to people who actually watch boxing. Honestly, I think a lot of you need to have these good guy/bad guy characters spoon-fed to you like WWE before you can watch a fight.

Manny Pacquiao always had One punch knock out power . But remember guys he started as a flyweight fighter . Naturally he does not have the same affect at welter weight that he had at smaller weight divisions .But he was able to stop De La Hoya and stop Cotto at 147 lbs . Also remember he knock down Shane Mosley ,and then Mosley did nothing but run for the remainder of the fight .

It does look like Pacquiao has lost some of the power in his punches ,, but he still looks fast and some what strong . There is an old saying that says ( that a fighters power is the last thing to go ) .. Well that is just not true . Pacquiao is living proof of that and a couple other fighters like Roberto Duran he lost his powerful punch but he was still able to beat middle weights .

Blah, blah, blah! What do you expect Floyd Sr to say. Wait and see if they ever do fight, which will be a big , long wait. This fight is 5 years too late. They could have made history as the biggest mega Fight ever. Both in their prime, and Manny destroying every form of life that opposed him inside the boxing ring. Manny Mania 5 years ago was bigger than Elvis Presley, The First Man On The Moon, President Obama becoming President and the invention of electricity put together. Floyd, Roger and Pops were afraid little Floyd was going to get hurt. They ran as far away as they could. Funny to hear all of them at that time showing so much fear. Today they’re banking on Manny Pacquiao slipping. Sorry, Manny Pacquiao, arguably the greatest fighter of all time will do something special. Floyd Mayweather fans will be speechless. Trust me, Floyd will lose. Manny is the best.

Against JMM and Rios, I think he was going all out. The power that you’re talking about (one punch KO?) is something he never had. Pacquiao battered JMM before getting KO’d. Rios face was flushed after the fight, not to mention he was barely punching. Rios cried and admitted he was afraid to get KOd.

After his fight with Cotto, I think he was taking it easy. Pac destroyed Margarito’s face and after 8th or 9th round he just slowed down looking at the ref to stop the fight. He didn’t wanna fight anymore out of pity.

yo

Yep- Ariza was magical in Pacquiao’s camp.

Pac had scary power.

If he wants to beat the best, he is going to have to train like he did before Moseley and Cotto…
