Floyd Xylocaine Mayweather
LOLPosted January 7, 2014 8:06 pm
Crawford is nowhere…
But Pacquiao has amost 20 pounds on Mikey… I like that fight in 2 or 3 years if Mikey moves up gradually… He weighed 128 for Martinez.. The idea of moving up 4 weight divisions in 2 fights is stupid.Posted January 6, 2014 3:17 am
Anybody except Terrence Crawford, right!!!!Posted January 5, 2014 8:39 pm
And have Mayweather versus Nonito Donaire on the same card.
Arum & Pactards are ridiculous. Now Pac wants to cherrypick Featherweights and it’s all goodPosted January 5, 2014 5:45 am
bye bye broner——— u sukPosted January 5, 2014 3:56 am
Broner is a JOKE…. at any weightPosted January 5, 2014 3:55 am
Arum is hilarious.Posted January 5, 2014 2:05 am
“Floyd was knocked down too”
Floyd has NEVER been down as an amateur or as a pro, he takes great pride in telling EVERYONE that. In fact ANYONE who knows boxing knows that as well. If you KNEW your FACTS, if you knew ANYTHING about boxing at all, you’d know that too! So keep your stupid mouth shut you moron.Posted January 5, 2014 12:33 am
Floyd was knocked down too… Mikey was unhurt… He was just as big a favorite to KO Martinez, as he was sitting on his ass, as he was 5 seconds before the knockdown.Posted January 4, 2014 5:59 pm
Mikey Garcia has been put on azz already, the warning signs are there, it will happen again, except the next time, he’ll get wiped out.Posted January 4, 2014 4:50 pm
Arum is desperate to replace the name Floyd Mayweather with anyone who can actually seem like a good fight. What a bunch of clowns Arum, Mayweather and Pacquaio are. Just make the fight and move on with your lives. No one cares about Pac vs…this guy or that guy. We want one fight. THE fight.Posted January 4, 2014 12:54 pm
Arum is just linking the names to promote Mikey. I don’t think he has any intention of putting the two in together at any time in the near future, nor is there any benefit to him doing so.
Even if Pacquiao indicated that he was leaving Top Rank and Arum could keep him for one more fight, the logical strategy is to maximize the value of that fight without jeopardizing the value of future fights.
Mikey would be jumping up 2 divisions in under 12 months to fight one of the best fighters of the era… Mikey isn’t a big PPV draw yet but has a lot of potential to be one in the future. So a Pac-Garcia fight wouldn’t do great money, but may risk Garcia making big money in the future if he loses.
Besides, Pacquiao has Bradley and Provodnikov, both of which I believe would make as good money as a Garcia fight without the risk of losing future income (i.e. Bradley will never be overly popular and Provodnikov people will watch just because he’ll never be in a boring fight).
What you MIGHT see though (if Pac wants to leave Top Rank) is Pacquiao vs Mike Jones. They’ve sparred a lot and Jones would be able to gauge his chances of winning better than most and feed that info to Arum.Posted January 4, 2014 11:49 am
“wouldn’t give Mikey any chance at all of beating Pacquiao if that fight takes place. Mikey’s too skinny, and he doesn’t seem to react well when he gets hit solid. In the Roman Martinez fight, Mikey hit the deck in the 2nd round after getting hit hard. In Mikey’s fight with Orlando Salido, the fight was halted after Mikey suffered a nose injury in the 8th.”
WTF??? Mikey wasn’t hurt by Martinez. He got back up and put the guy away. In the Salido fight, Mikey’s nose was badly broken and literally rearranged on his face by a head butt. He would have continued fighting but his brother Robert wanted the fight stopped. So the fight was stopped because of the injury and the decision went to Mikey. But Mikey was kicking Salido’s arse anyways. He had already knocked Salido down four times by the time the fight was stopped.
As for Mikey being too skinny, the kid couldn’t even make weight for his fight with Lopez. He moved up in weight after that. He’d have no problem making weight to fight Pacquiao at welterweight.
BTW, Pac does not fight as a jr. welterweight and hasn’t for a number of years.
Regardless, I’d pick Pac over Mikey. Pac is just too fast and too experienced.Posted January 4, 2014 11:31 am
I MEANT TO ADD, Mikey Garcia has the potential to be perhaps the brightest star in a couple of years. I believe he is that good. The only downside for Garcia is he needs to learn to disguise his reactions to when he gets hit and hurt as evidenced by his reactions to SALIDO.
Personally, I would like to see him hone his skills at 130 and 135 before he even sniffs in the direction of 140 and above.
There are some decent scalps to be had between 130 and 135.Posted January 4, 2014 10:22 am
WHY ON EARTH would Mikey Garcia (a real rough diamond in the sport) sacrifice his 0 and future status by rushing into a bout with Pacman at a real disadvantage of between 10 and 17 pounds?
Is ARUM an idiot? The natural bout that should be made is Garcia and Gamboa which has been talked about for a little while. Gamboa has been a little inactive of late, but not so long ago he was discussed as one of the guys who could crack the P4P listings and perhaps go further.
Garcia has only been at elite level for a minute, he has only stepped up from Featherweight a short minute and now ROB Arum is trying to take him to the executioner’s axe by forcing him into a beat-down at 147, a weight that Adrien Broner (a naturally much bigger man has been shown is too big for him)…
If I were in Mikey’s corner I would say that he is at least 3 years away from any sort of campaign at Welterweight and by then the likes of Floyd, Manny, Dinamita and Desret Storm will be gone or ready to be taken!
Garcia has potential matches down the line vs the winner of Burns and Crawford at Lightweight and unifications at Super Feather before he should even look at Pac.
If they bring him on properly and match him through 130 – 135, by the time his body naturally develops he will not only be ready for the bigger fish, but will have both the experience and seasoning.
I’m sick to death of boxers trying to run before they can walk.
Why make a smash and grab at a bag of $5M when you can seriously learn your trade and take your time and then command purses of $10M and more?Posted January 4, 2014 10:07 am
Yeh your right beey, but pac beats all you have named accept may which is a 50/50 fightPosted January 4, 2014 5:26 am
Arum is dumb and so are you pactards……… what a stupid fight… put Pacman in with Providnikov.. or Bradley or Mayweather.. all are better than this fight
pacman needs to leave Arum if he knows waht’s good for himPosted January 4, 2014 3:30 am
Danny Garcia, maybe. But Mikey? The guy just moved up to 130. How about matching him with Uchiyama, Gamboa or Terence Crawford?Posted January 4, 2014 2:34 am
Can’t argue with titles in divisions more than that cherry picker floyd, instead of arguing against it you come up with that, just means its rightPosted January 4, 2014 12:37 am
Auzbox, Take Pacs little corey out of your mouth.Posted January 4, 2014 12:34 am
The joke is floyd. He says he is the most powerful in boxing yet he can’t get the biggest fight in history on, sounds like pre school stuff. ( I’m not fighting him cause he is friends with someone I don’t like) only power he has is over his slaves that follow him aroundPosted January 4, 2014 12:08 am
Spot on Adrian, he could have beat ali in his prime and people still would make excuses, he has titles in 8 divisions and has way more of a case than mayweather to be the greatest everPosted January 4, 2014 12:04 am
And everyone forgets PAC started at 105 he is naturally lighter than everyone he has ever fought and still beat themPosted January 4, 2014 12:02 am
Haters like you* typoPosted January 4, 2014 12:01 am
LOL if Pac can’t get them to weight drain he brings the 130 pounders up next he will be fighting Donair LOL Pac has become a joke.
Posted January 3, 2014 11:11 pm
Lmao!!! It’s more like u became a joke and your hero mayweather for getting all confused ,first PAC is to small for ww t I knock them out so he must be on juice now he is to big for the best out there at 140 … No matter what PAC does you would fear to death ,even if he is about to fight ward and win you would probably find away to accusing him or mock him so my friend haters like became a ” joke” !Posted January 4, 2014 12:00 am
Yeh he is a joke tachyon just like floyd if he fights khan. Manny doesn’t want Garcia it’s arumPosted January 3, 2014 11:59 pm
Did he ever test positive to roids or are you just speculating, he dropped Marquez in there last fight. Against rios mike Tyson said it was one of the best boxing performances he had seen, now floyd can’t knock the skin off a custard and yet he is prob going to fight a lightweight in khan, manny doesn’t need the K O anymore the same as floyd doesn’tPosted January 3, 2014 11:58 pm
Auzbox not new I just know who has the better boxing intuition when It comes too staying away from danger and its not Manny. Now when Manny was on roids back in 09-10 then yea he would probably give a boxer like Garcia his first defeat but i just don’t see that happening. Pacqiao simply has light weight power at this point Lol he couldn’t even get sprained ankle Timothy Bradley outta there come on now…Posted January 3, 2014 11:18 pm
LOL if Pac can’t get them to weight drain he brings the 130 pounders up next he will be fighting Donair LOL Pac has become a joke.Posted January 3, 2014 11:11 pm

If thats the case why not put DONAIRE or RIGO in with Pacquioa?Posted January 3, 2014 10:33 pm
Gracia looses to pacman.now donaire pac yummyPosted January 3, 2014 10:19 pm
Mikey Garcia needs to worry about a few guys in his own weight division. Gamboa smashes him anyway so would bronerPosted January 3, 2014 9:52 pm
And team PAC didn’t say that arum did. Manny has never mentioned it, Thurman wouldnt wipe mannys a s s which means surely tumbo your a BritPosted January 3, 2014 9:51 pm
Tumbo you usually make a little bit of sense but Garcia doesn’t come close your just saying that cause your a floydoid, if he beats manny he beat floyd. Khan gets ko buy manny early to so stop writing nonsensePosted January 3, 2014 9:48 pm
Gallinas de Puelto Lico
Hell no. Fk. Arum. Mikey Garcia needs to move up at his own pace. If Pacquioa wants to face a featherweight then make it 50 million for Mikey Garcia.Posted January 3, 2014 9:08 pm
Mikey better start bulking up!!Posted January 3, 2014 9:00 pm
AGREE. Why is Mikey Garcia’s name even being tossed around at welterweight? Makes no sense.Posted January 3, 2014 8:46 pm
Mikey has no business facing pacquiao anytime soon. This is a desperate move by Top Rank. Mikey should focus on getting that fight with Gamboa instead and continue to prove himself.Posted January 3, 2014 8:39 pm
DANNY Garcia defeats Manny*, which is why he’s not even mentioned as a potential opponent. Khan, Mathysse, and Thurman would give Pacquiao* hell too, which is they won’t be considered. it’s also why Team Pacquiao* is eagerly grasping at the opportunity to pluck an up-and-coming featherweight whose yet to establish himself at 130lbs. never mind that the challenges at 147lbs abound. more than Pacquiao* can handle, which is why he’s looking at in-house opponents and featherweights instead . . . pathetic.Posted January 3, 2014 8:27 pm
Man, lots of new sock-puppets popping up the last couple of days.
Garcia would be a drag. Bradley is the next logical choice for Manny.Posted January 3, 2014 8:22 pm
In no world does Garcia beat manny, Garcia only said he would KO PAC to get a payday. Roachs stables always beat garcias. There is only maybe 2-3 people in welter that beat PAC and one is def not Garcia. Hopefully PAC leaves arum so he can fight danny Garcia and floydPosted January 3, 2014 8:07 pm
I’m glad you think that boxtradamus, now change your name to nonothingosPosted January 3, 2014 8:02 pm
Rapidfire your ob only new to the boxing game if you think Garcia beats manny, and manny dropped Marquez there last fight so don’t doubt his power, not many if any could knock rios out floyd def couldn’tPosted January 3, 2014 8:00 pm
I wonder what those agreeing that Garcia is a future opponent for Pac would think if it was Floyd calling Garcia as his future opponent? My guess is that the majority would see Pac as making the right move, while they’d see Floyd as cherry-picking his opponent.
Anyway, I do see Garcia as a future opponent for Pac…by that time Pac would be about 50 years old.Posted January 3, 2014 7:48 pm
Btw, Garcia needs to bring Heredia on board. Ariza not able to cut the mustard. conversely, there are no “dirty” tests in Heredia’s profile and the result is irrefutable. Pacquiao* has never snored deeper, longer, or louder.Posted January 3, 2014 7:44 pm
why the F’k is Arum looking outside of the deepest division in boxing to target an up and coming featherweight(?!?) for a future Pacquiao* bout? what more do fight-fans need to hear to conclude that Team Pacquiao* is a shameless bunch of opportunistic cherrypickers? unless Manny* agrees to meet Mikey at 135lbs. otherwise, Pacquiao’s* got plenty of unfinished and new business to take care of at 147lbs. in fact, more than he can ever handle.Posted January 3, 2014 7:42 pm
it looks like Arum is searching for another undersized opponent for Pacquiao to have an advantage over. That’s been Pacquiao’s MO the whole time, that why there’s no Mayweather fight theres no Pacquiao advantage.Posted January 3, 2014 7:40 pm
WTH? WHY?Posted January 3, 2014 5:39 pm
I think rhonda rousy and pacquiao would be better.Posted January 3, 2014 4:59 pm
garcia taking roids well i never.Posted January 3, 2014 4:42 pm
Mikey has a future in boxing. His promoter better keep him away from Paquiao. I really think Mikey has the potential to take over boxing. I hope his not being advice by the same guy who adviced Fernando Vargas. We all know what happens when a young lion challenge a veteran Lion. He gets KO. Vargas had much more potential than what his career end up being.Posted January 3, 2014 4:38 pm
Wow…Arum at his best…Watch the pac fans justify this fight. No interest 4 this fight, by the time Garcia is ready (big enough) Manny will b 2 old and gone.Posted January 3, 2014 4:37 pm
I think it’s a little too early personally but an interesting fight indeed. A lot of names floated around these day’s who knows what will actually come aboutPosted January 3, 2014 4:36 pm
The size difference isn’t really that great IMO. Should be a good match up . Pacquiao doesn’t have power anymore so he has to rely on his boxing skills(which is minimal). Garcia by hard fought UDPosted January 3, 2014 4:27 pm
Anonymous go take you a BRAINS class SO that you can think of a name for YOURSELF.Posted January 3, 2014 4:26 pm
This fight is a scam .. Arum once again Robing his fighters .. Pac is 33 and uses a young man style of boxing ? so just how will this fight be made?
Garcia taking Roids to move up in weight over the next year before Pac’s Roided style no longer works for him due age?
Or will Arum continue to Fight Pac over the Next 6 to 7 years until his debt is paid off?
Some pac fans are too stupid to even too think this process through.Posted January 3, 2014 4:12 pm
Come on Floyd, fight the Pac Man!Posted January 3, 2014 4:09 pm
Gotta agree. Pacquiao whoops Mike Garcia.Posted January 3, 2014 4:07 pm
Mikey Garcia? Pacquiao wins 120-108 x 3.Posted January 3, 2014 4:05 pm
Manny beats Mikey Garcia.Posted January 3, 2014 4:03 pm
Manny cannot beat mobile fighters. The only guys he beats are typical stand in front of you and slug it out types. Like mexican/latino guys that move give him the blues. Thats why he fought Oscar and Cotto ,Margecheato dehydrated. So that he can have the advantage. Manny is easy to hot with counters hence Marquez, it was finally justice served seeing him sleep on the canvas, because Manny didnt win all of those bouts against Marquez and the only way he could beat him was to KO him and he knew it. Manny is exposed and he is a cherry picker Rios? Come on he wasnt even ranked what a joke I am so glad the pubic didnt fall for that BS because no one bother buying the fight, And dude stood right in front of Manny and he couldnt KO him? Manny has lost his power. he havent KOed anyone since 09 that says it all, I will give him the Bradley fight I thought he did enough to win but he never dominated Bradley and he never will because he moves too much. Fught Garcia, Miadana or even Mallinagi before trying to get at Floyd get your weight up not your hate up…Posted January 3, 2014 3:54 pm
I mean Mikey by Filipino FLAILING stoppage.Posted January 3, 2014 3:49 pm
C. Morgan-YES SKILLS is more important than SIZE. As long as you’re not outweighed by 20 lbs or more. Mikey is already 140 or SO on Fight night SO Pacquiao’s size advantage is MINIMAL. Which means that SKILLS will rule the Fight and Mikey has a clear advantage there. Mikey by Filipino Flailing stoppage.Posted January 3, 2014 3:48 pm
GOOD on Mikey for taking MY advice!!!! I saw the video on youtube where Mikey SAYS that he would stop Pacquiao and he agrees with ME on that. Mikey is a Top 5 Fighter in the Sport of Boxing and Pacquiao is NO longer. Mikey by Mexicution stoppage.Posted January 3, 2014 3:44 pm
C.Morgan, Rigo would beat Ward, easily. Weight don’t matter. Skills do.Posted January 3, 2014 3:40 pm
Floyd won’t fight Manny anyway!Posted January 3, 2014 3:31 pm
to soon, i think he has to beat gamboa first
Flamengo – it would be a great fight. Garcia is the real deal & could give pacquaio problems. Love to see this one!Posted January 3, 2014 3:06 pm
If Mikey Garcia is a future opponent Arum should just make Donaire -Pac right now “Battle for the Phillipines”
Or just throw Rigo in with Pac..Rigo would probably win that one even with the huge weight difference, s Rigo could become king of the Phillipines if he took both Donaire and Pac’s scalps.Posted January 3, 2014 3:03 pm
