I dont like those catch weight fights . they often leave to much up in the air to much negations . For instances was the bigger guy weight drained when he comes down .? Now im not saying he should but if mayweather went to 160 and beat martinez as a full blown middle weight that would be a big accomplishment . same way if Ward went to 175 and beat dawson it would mean more. Ray Leonard had Donny Lalond come down from 175 to 168 in a catch weight fight and when Leonard won the match he claimed the 175 title credit marvin hagler for staying 160 his carreeer.

Sergio vs Floyd 2013

Sergio vs Manny? Nahhh… Manny is too old and slow for Sergio. Floyd told Manny we do the anti-doping we fight. Manny refused.
Floyd is a champ, since a Kid. He will not run in 2013 that is not him. Will be an interesting fight both light feet, (smart on the ring) skilled, athletics with iron on his fists.

the facts—– manny never fought a prime hofer? barerra was a bit on the downside but still very very live. morales would qualify, marquez and to a lesser extent bradley(dont say he won the fight with pac). Floyd isn’t gonna fight pac, or sergio, or even canelo more then likely. People get upset when people like the ghost call out floyd, but lets be real for a min, floyd won’t fight anyone who might beat him so lets see who he has to fight to secure him as the best ever? bradley(doubt bob lets that happen) so who now? guerrero, berto, peterson, kahn, cotto again, judah again? cmon man, floyd dictates who he fights and he doesnt want another tuff fight like cotto although i can see that rematch happening after cotto vs trout cause we no floyd aint fightin this year. floyd does it to himself….peace ya’ll

Still trying to figure out, floyds career defyning win, what win made you decide he was GOAT?? Oscar made him a household name…. Zab was always outgunned, but if you follow boxing rules….floyd should have been disqualified….roger jumped in the ring, mid round, that results to disqualification….but in all seriousness Who did he beat? That made him GOAT? Undefeated record you say? 1. Rocky Marciano: 49-0
2. Joe Calzaghe 46-0
3. Samson Dutch Boy Gym 43-0
4. Sven Ottke 34-0
5. Michael Loewe: 28-0
6. Edwin Valero: 27-0
7. George Kandelaki 24-0
8. Pichit Sitbangprachan 24-0
9. Harry Simon 25-0
10. Scott Daley 24-0…..

These guys are all undefeated….GOAT??? I just want to understand…..maybe the answer is not logical….just like bipolar floyd

Pac will destroy Mayweather. Martinez too, though Martinez made it clear he and Pac may never find the right weight. Mayweather-Martinez, i dunno. Floyd is still very good and Martinez is old.

Does Martinez have anyone on his “they will kick my ass list” or is Floyd the only fighter in the sport that should be fighting guys that are outside of his weight range? Is Martinez afraid of Andre Ward or is he just too small? Is he afraid of Gennady Golovkin or is he too unknown. Is he afraid of Dimity Pirog or is Pirog not established enough in the U.S. Why is it okay for Martinez too be looking to prove himself by fighting a Welter Weight but Floyd is always accused of picking on smaller guys for fights like Marquez and Ricky Hatton? Why is this double standard being totally ignored by you and the media?

Trust me. Mayweather won’t fight Martinez. Martinez is number 2. on Mayweather’s “they will kick my ass list”. Pacquiao is number 1.

I'm a Floyd fan but there is little to no chance that he fights Martinez at 154.

SREDMOND, et. al: Agreed, Mayweather never has to prove anything — at this point, not even in fighting Pacquiao. I don’t think that Mayweather vs. Martinez would be that different from Ward vs. Dawson whereas they fought at a pre-determined catchweight. The same happened in the May/Cotto fight with Mayweather coming in 3 pounds less than 154. However, perhaps a 157 or 158 for May and 159 or 160 for Martinez. I actually like watching BOTH boxers — so their PPV would be a double treat. Of course, my own wishful thinking.

Gold … So it’s ok for mayweather to have the same advantage against PAC then is it…. WhIch when you look at the stats is almost identical … And let’s not forget the Marquez fight where he had an even bigger advantage in terms of size… You mayweather fans are a strange bunch… You seem almost as obsessed of protecting your boy as his advisors … Mayweather vs Marquez at 154 … Which is mayweathers official division now … Why would any proper fight fan not want this… I think it would be a great fight which would be a true 50/50

Martinez is 37 years old. He’s only going to take money fights. He’ll go after Maweather. When Mayweather refuses, he’ll probably give JCC Jr. a rematch. Truth be told, I’d rather see him vs. Canelo. The fights I’d like to see Sergio in next year: 1. Mayweather, 2. the winner of Golovkin vs Geale, 3. Canelo.

Posted September 30, 2012 8:33 am

I have been saying it for a long time now: Martinez would give Floyd a tougher fight than Pacquiao. I would much rather see that fight. There’s only three logical opponents for Money: Maravilla, Pac, and Canelo.

3 G’s

Boxing fans today are just as buiness minded as the boxers today. Sergio has been crying for a fight vs smaller Floyd and Manny but refuses to go up and face suepr middles. He does not want 3 G’s because he would get gored and grated by this great man. I always thought that a fighter was supposed to face the top contender. Sometimes the contender is a drawing card but sometimes he is not. I hate when fans defend their man by saying the guy is not PPV or argues who should get te most $. I could care less! All I want is to see the best vs the best. I hope they get paid well and do not get hurt but I want those matches. Slater made some good picks but there are many more we will never see for he same reasons I mentioned. Please do not mention UFC because they are like cattle. They have to fight whomever White picks. And remember only those in the UFC. If Golden Girl or Rob Abum of Stop Stank use only their stable people cry foul. White only uses guys in his stable so that sucks too.

SREDMOND…..”The most natural fight in boxing that needs to be made…….”Once again you’ve summed up this scenario with precision! Sergio Martinez is way toooo big for Mayweather…..he’d smoke him like a blunt! Floyd would end up on the ropes in defensive mode with Martinez firing a barrage of non-stop shots from ALL different angles, hurting the smaller man “intentionally” all over his “arms” and upper body….eventually dropping him…several times!! Martinez all of a sudden doesnt sound too tough at all! He sounds a bit desperate. He SHOULD know in his heart of hearts, as well as objectively thinking, that he’d be too much for the small welterweight Mayweather. Ward said that Martinez would be too SMALL for him, so Ward has decided to pass on a potential clash….sooo let Martinez INSIST on taking the challenge – to set the example against Ward! Lets see how Martinez does against a LARGER extremely skilled technician……let Martinez show Floyd how its done!….ONLY then should Floyd entertain the possibility!

You say that May/Pac is “past its best date” well the truth is we are discussing a 33 year old, a 35 year old and a 37 year old…. Pacquiao and Mayweather are the two most popular boxers on planet earth by a countrymile and they can fight at an appropriate weight without either man doing anyting unusual….. Your hard on to see Sergio and Floyd is certainly your choice but this fight is WELL behind May/Pac as it pertains to public demand and natural progression…. Get over it Martinez might just have to do the unthinkable and keep fighting MW’s instead of trolling for WW’s…… Sad times for you man :(

The most natural fight in boxing that needs to be made is Mayweather/Pacquiao, were they not brothers then the Klitschkos should be in the ring together…. Chavez/Martinez was a match at the weight which was natural given how Jr got the titles and Martinez status in the division…. What other MW’s are we dug in to see fight a recent entrant to 154 who has spent 97% of his career fighting 147 or below??? If this fight is “so natural” then why are we not calling on all MW’s to begin trolling for WW’s who began professionally at 130??? Am I missing something??? Should Floyd decide its a fight he wants then so be it, but trying to act like this is a natural bout is obvious BS….

Jason you are the classic ESB chump who is scant on boxing knowledge and argues from his rectum…If Martinez is suddenly the biggest thing in boxing how the the hell did he make HALF of what Chavez Jr did? Reality is that Martinez is going to be a B side PPV opponent likely for the duration if his career UNLESS he were gifted a bout with the GREAT Floyd Mayweather Jr… I enjoy seeing fools writhe in pain as Floyd reels off win after win against World Class competition making it look EASY…..If he decides he wants to face the a MW then good for him but he is certainly NOT obligated to fight someone outside his division who is a physically bigger man… Martinez is NOT some tiny guy when stacked against most middles he comes in solid…. This campaign to present him as an accidental “Ring MW Champion” is not tenable when faced with the facts….He has fought there 3 years, he has stopped FAR better than his career KO percentage at the weight….. Martinez unfortunately is going to have to find ANOTHER MW opponent to face or perhaps rematch Chavez Jr….. But he is NOT Floyd Mayweathers problem, the fact that May stripping out Cotto and Pac probably made more money than the entire sport combined last year makes him a target for EVERY guy needing a paycheck…. Too bad, So Sad Martinez you should have stayed at WW or 154 if you were going to spend the rest of your career calling out smaller boxers…. HOLLA!!

The idea that some people criticize Martinez for wanting to fight Floyd and that he should go to fight another Super Middle Weight or Middleweight is silly. First Martinez was once a Welterweight. One person here says that Floyd is the Middle Weight Champ when he is now a Junior Middle Weight Champ. Some even accuse others who want this fight that they feel Floyd will lose. I don’t necessarily see this as the case. I think however that it will be a very tough fight for Floyd provided that he does fight for the Middle Weight title, no catch weight. If Floyd wins, it will really cement his career as one of the greats in that he went as perhaps the greatest Junior Light Weight champ to winning the middleweight championship. If he does not fight Martinez, when historians look back at boxing history, they will have next to Sergio Martinez’s name, a middleweight champion so good, that even the great Floyd Mayweather Jr. refused to fight him.

I don’t blame Martinez from wanting a fight with Mayweather. Almost the whole world of boxers want that. Even if they lose to Mayweather who cares? They will still walk away with more money than in all of their other fights combined. Fighting Mayweather is the summit of all boxing practically — so ending up with millions and experiencing the highest challenge in boxing at this time, the here and now, is not a bad deal at all. It’s actually the best game in town. Personally, Mayweather vs. Martinez would be a great match-up in terms of craft and action from both fighters regardless of whether Mayweather wins which has so far proven to be a 100% possibility barring some freak occurrence.

Havoc … How dull are you… what your saying, is that cos may is the number 1, he can chose who he wants to fight. What a stupid way to be a boxing fan. It’s the champion’s duty – as champion – to take on the biggest challengers. Are you so in love with mayweather that you don’t care that he doesn’t take the toughest fight. I for one as a fan, couldn’t care about his 0, and want to see mayweather in against a real live opponent…. Cotto was a good fight, but cotto was defiantly past his best, no doubt… Ortiz was a ok too, but we never got to see that properly. Mayweather vs Martinez is the best fight out there for any decent fight fan… And the advantages Martinez would have over in mayweather are no worse than the advantages mayweather would have over PAC…. So lets for once see mayweather man up and take a risk

Baleerina Martinez is a COWARD, who is ripe to be whacked by non-one-dimensional fighter in the MW division, namely Golovkin and Pirog. He ran away from Pirog,, claiming Pirog had no name. He is attempting to hide behind mayweather……..Unify titles in your own division first! COWARD!

BTW, that is not to say Pac Man vs. Floyd would be easy, just waaaay easier than Martinez. From what I seen, Bradley matches Pac Man in speed but could not block the left of Pacquiao, JMM does a better job of it, Pac is open to counter punches. The best fighter who actually blocked the left effectively, was Mosley.
Unfortunately, Mosley was scared to get knocked out, so he did not fight back almost at all. If Floyd decides to box, and make his work “easy” as he puts it, and blocks the left, he’ll beat Pacquiao handily. If he tries to get ballsy, and goes toe to toe (like 1st 2 rounds against Mosley), or fight Pac Man fight, he’ll get knocked out guaranteed! Pac Man has too much power to fight toe to toe, which is why Marquez is able to kick his ass time and again. Too bad the judges don’t agree!!!

All the may fans complaining about the size difference between Martinez and mayweather , it’s more or less the same as the advantage mayweather would have against PAC. But that s ok now isn’t it. Heaven forbid, mayweather walks in the ring at any sort of disadvantage.

Shut up you idiot. Are you a boxing fan or what. Mayweather vs martinez is the best fight out there.., finialy a fight where all the scales are not heavly tipped in your boys favour. Mayweather is the JMW belt holder, if Marquez comes down, what is the problem? This is why we watch boxing, to see the best fight the best, not make up excuses why your idol shouldn’t face his toughest opponent. It’s pathetic ..

Posted September 29, 2012 11:56 am

No way can Floyd fight Martinez? Would you put Carl Froch in against Canelo? It makes no sense. Everyone is running from Martinez, or waiting for him to get old à la Joe Calzange. Floyd would have a much easier time fighting Manny Pacquiao than Martinez? Which is why Manny the Pac Man wants NO PART of Martinez either. Martinez does not tire, I think he is as fast as Pac Man, if not faster, and his left hook will put anyone in WW or JM too sleep.
Martinez vs Gaele, GGG, Landy, Froch, or Ward makes sense. IF Froch fights Martinez the way he fought Bute, lights out for Martinez! But if Martinez beats Froch, Ward, and GGG, his HOF spot will be Golden. No need to Chase Mayweather.

Posted September 29, 2012 11:49 am

srminimo

The fight that very well might be a possibility for Martinez is Cotto. It’s no secret Cotto wants a fourth tittle and, assuming he beats Trout, Cotto might find Martinez a better matchup than Canelo, who’s probably bigger than Martinez and has a style that is worse for Cotto than Martinez. And at 37/38 by the time the fight happens he’ll also not be as fresh as 22 year Alvarez. Plus if Cotto loses at 160 he still might get a big fight afterwards, but if he loses to Csnelo at 154 his days as a top fighter are probably over.

REM your argument is ultra weak, YES Martinez outgrew 154 thats why he is NOT fighting there and thats why his promoter was discussing how he would have to kill himself to make the weight a few years ago…. Are you arguing that Mayweather has outgrown 147?? Because if you are its a WEAK argument…. Reality is that Floyd Mayweather does not fight at MW and no one is proposing him for ANY other MW fights…. You gotta be smarter if you are going to propose a guy who has not fought at 154 in 3 years really belongs there, if thats the case then why is he not fighting there? We can certainly make the case that Floyd is best suited to 147, every weigh-in and fight night weight backs that assertion…Stop crying because no fighter in his appropriate class can defeat Floyd Mayweather, you guys have been singing this song for fight divisions its gotten pretty old and worn out….

If Floyd decides to fight again, he’s not going to face Martinez.. he will most likely pick Canelo…. Martinez will end up facing Chavez Jr. in a rematch… BUT I would like to see him vs Ward or GGG… Neither one would make as much money though so Sergio will play it safe and face Chavez again…

Mark my words.. Sergio will face Chavez Jr. .. Mayweather won’t take a fight against Martinez.. he won’t…. I hope he does but he won’t.. he’d rather face Canelo

Hay, it took Martinez 37 years to land his first big money fight, so I won’t blame him for trying to make the most of the 2 or 3 he has left. Problem is him and May will not happen, Canelo and him will not happen, and Chavez 2 might not happen either if he insists on Olympic style testing as he said recently, and the rest of the great fights at 160 are big risk not big money. Unless perhaps he can make a good fight in Argentina, where he would now probably draw as many people as the stadium can fit, and sell it to HBO. Or he could go for broke and get a fight with Ward (heck, he already fought a bigger guy in Chavez), but the size difference is too much when you consider the skill level of Ward. Maybe Froch…?

Posted September 29, 2012 10:48 am

SREDMOND

Thats nonsense Miguel Cotto has CRAZY heart and he has fought a FAR better cast of fighters than Sergio Martinez and he was knocked out by Margarito before Cotto was…. Sergio has plenty of heart and thats admirable but the idea that Mayweather has to somehow find a BIGGER fighter to put himself at undue risk with is bogus… Many great fighters only compete in ONE division or TWO at most, Floyd is the ONLY undefeated 5 division Champion, as for Martinez he is terrific but HE has NEVER gotten near the talent level of Mayweather, beating a statue like Chavez is far different from being in with the premier boxer of this generation….Martinez needs to show his heart by fighting at MW or beyond instead of trying to chase a guy who really belongs at WW, yeah 2 fights in 5 years above 147 does not make you a legit 154 pounder especially considering you never even weigh in at the limit….

Posted September 29, 2012 10:09 am

I highly doubt that Floyd will take this match because I don’t think he takes fights where there is a significant risk. But if he does take this fight, then he has earned my utmost respect and if he wins I think the boxing community at large should give him more respect.

Martinez fighting a blownup Chavez has NOTHING to do with Mayweathers career, both guys competed in the MW division and Martinez wanted the belt…. Besides Martinez is not on Mayweathers level in the sport of boxing he is still trying to build a fanbase and become a true star outside of hardcore boxing fans, Floyd is the biggest name in boxing bar none, he can fight within the division best suited for him since he has titles in 5 classes to show how GREAT he is…You guys have it backwards Martinez is trying to prove something not Floyd who is an ATG and HOFer the minute he retires…

BUT, think of what level Mayweather would attain in boxing history if he beat Martinez. You are right, Floyd does have more and better skills than Martinez, but Sergio would test Mayweather and take him deep into a trench where he’s never been before. Martinez showed what he has in the 12th round of his last fight. Mayweather has NEVER had to contend with an opponent with that kind of heart. I say make the fight. Let’s see what both these men are made of.

That doesn’t make sense, you should rule out Mayweather vs Martinez! You say Sergio can’t fight super middle weights because they are accustomed to the weight, well Floyd can’t fight Martinez then because he is a middle weight who is accustomed to the weight. He weighed 168 against Chavez Floyd never walked into a ring more than 151lbs in his life, even when he fought Cotto he lost the weight and they said in the ring he was about 147, he weighed 151 when he fought delahoya at 154 who wouldn’t even reweigh himself but his last weigh in read 164lbs, but he was heavier. So it has to make no sense for Floyd to fight a guy who’s 2 weight classes higher and comfortable there if it makes sense for Martinez to not fight ward who is only one weight class higher.

I do believe Sergio has enough evidence to back his words. Whats wrong with calling Floyd?

“a bigger and stronger fighter like Martinez” he forgot to mention how much more speed and skill Mayweather has but would be a good fight, Mayweather on points.

BOXING MACHINE

Mayweather fought at 154 only twice, both times he walked in to the ring only weighing 151lbs. And was outweighed by 13 or more pounds each time. Mayweather has already moved up plenty of weight classes and he’s the money do why should he have to move up again to fight a guy that at 160lb and weighs 168 on fight night?? Why does Martinez refuse to fight Andre Ward who is one weight class over him? But he’s willing to fight Floyd who’s two weight classes below?? Smh no one sees this as odd?

You never say anything that should be taking serious because you are clueless about the fight game. Martinez and everyone else makes a big deal about Jr’s size and now he wants to fight a smaller guy right. He doesn’t want nothing to do with GGG does he. HBO is making GGG out to be the next best thing-Pirog is undefeated and kicking ass-okay Martinez got the only real fight he want vs the big money maker at 160 now he wants Mayweather lol-Martinez is a good dude and all and I know if Chavez took boxing serious and was ripping thru guys Martinez wouldn’t have fought him the proof is in the pudding. The MW division is hot-Martinez doesn’t have to move up or down to get good fights and he doesn’t have to fight B fighters from other country’s we never heard of anymore either when he has Pirog and GGG in the same division. I want to see Martinez defend his belt vs either one of those guys and lets see if he has his belt when the fight is over

Martinez can go down to 154, MW has fought at 154lb. If Martinez took on a 180+lbs Chavez why wouldn;t FMW take on Martinez? It will be a great fight, in my mind these are the 2 best fighters right now.

How was Bernard Hopkins not the same size as Martinez? He is taller. But a middle weight is a middle wieght man. Was Marvin Hagler bigger than the size that Martinez is as middle weight? No. And Felix Trinidad did not move up to fight Hopkins. He had already had three fights in a row as a junior middle weight and one fight as a middle weight. Felix Trinidad is 6’0″ tall also. Its not the same scenario at all. Personally I think Floyd should fight Martinez if he’s really willing to come down to 154 because it would be a good fight. He would beat a weight drained Martinez handily. But that is what he would be beating. But it would be a huge spectacle. At the end the boxing media and so called fans would do everything they could to pick apart his victory and some how turn it into a loss for him again as they do with all of his wins. I mainly have a problem with the fact that the middle weight champion is openly saying that he has no interest in fighting the best fighters in his weight class and above but that he is focused on building his way up to fighting the welter weight champion of the world to prove that he is the best pound for pound. How illogical does that sound? And no one is crucifying this dude like they would be Mayweather if the roles were reversed. Boxing is being hurt by such ridiculous journalistic biased and double standards. The way that the boxing media reports on the sport is based almost entirely on personalities and almost not at all the actual tenets of the sweet science. Like Manny Pacquiao really being repeatedly referred to as 8 time world champion Manny Pacquioa just farted and now flowers are blooming. GTFOH! This guy won a belt in a division that he had never fought in and that his opponent wasnt even ranked in. And the media still refers to hin as 8 time world champion Manny Pacquiao. The media with their pro wrestling perspective of the sport are distorting peoples perceptions so bad that they really have damaged the way that people see it..

Thats an excuse SMW is just another division like all the rest, If Martinez wanted to come in 164 and fight someone who is 168 then so be it…. Mayweather never weighed the 154 limit when he fought Cotto and ODH… Pac Man was under 147 for some of his WW fights and still performed… I see a WEAK attempt to keep Martinez from climbing the scale and attempts to put the onus on Floyd Mayweather to keep facing bigger fighters…. This bout is NOT some natural matchup no matter what you guys say, “Sergios a 154 pounder but he NEVER fights there and unified 160″ your arguments are factually incorrect, he has stopped more guys at MW than Jr MW….

Wow.. Sergio calls out Floyd. Another bum calls Floyd out for a big payday. Whats new!!! I would love to see Sergio call out other middleweights. (ward, canelo, landry, etc) People use Mayweather’s name to promote their careers. Its sickening!

This author is crazy Martinez advantages would comedown to size and strength he is NOT as skilled a fighter as Floyd Mayweather… The guy almost got knocked out by a fighter who moves in slow motion…. Floyd is far more technically sound than the unorthodox yet VERY effective….AGAIN this is an issue of size, where people act like Floyd needs to show he can deal with a bigger man, he has travelled 24 pounds doing that since he began in the sport…Let Sergio climb another 8 and show us how hungry he is….

Martinez is Mayweathers vast subordinate in the sport of boxing and to be honest everytime he starts this campaign it detracts a bit from his luster in my eyes…Martinez is a terrific fighter with plent of talent and guts but he looks suspect calling out MW’s all the time…If the some of these other MW’s were trying to setup bouts with WW’s they would be getting called out left and right…Reality is the next big money fight for Martinez will be against Chavez JR again, these guys generated 25 mill in PPV so he is going to have to leverage almost getting knocked out to make the big check….Martinez does not have the stature, leverage nor argument to get Mayweather in the ring…..

WTF???

Why doesn’t all Hype Canelo Call out Sergio Martinez??? Why is he looking for smaller older fighters?? We all know he is another one coming way over 165lbs for his fights.. He can prove a lot of people wrong by calling out Martinez who just Whoooped his fellow countryman in humiliating fashion.. instead he continues to dodge his Mandatory Cuban Lara, Rosado, Ellis, Quintana etc etc etc.. instead wasting time taking on skinny 140lb’rs :???:

WTF???

If the Legendary Hall of Famer Tito Trinidad at his peak of popularity making Top Money PPV’s can chose to move up to take on Prime Middleweight Hopkins (who is actually a Cruiserweight in size and weight) and not worry about Money or losing why can’t Floyd take on Sergio Martinez who is no where near as Big or Dangerous as a Prime Bernard Hopkins?? Greatness comes from doing Great things and testing yourself in the Ring.. It’s not from taking on much smaller, older, shot fighters…. :???:

Martinez belongs at LMW/MW, anything higher is too much. The problem with SMW is unlike the other weights, the competitors here are 100% conditioned to the weight. That might seem like a strange comment seeing as the heavier the weight, the less body weight % someone must increase by to go up to. Consider this however; Ward and Froch have competed at SMW for the entirety of their careers and it adds a new dimension to their abilities at fighting at 168. I for one cannot think of anyone coming from a different weight division giving them much trouble at all (especially after seeing Ward vs Dawson). I definitely wouldn’t rule out Martinez/Mayweather in 2013, I think there’s enough money there now. Fortunately, Martinez has other options to secure his position within the p4p rankings; Golovkin, Canelo, Cotto, Pirog… There is scope for ascension to no.1!

i guess if sergio calls pac pac will say no you are too big. ( of course pacquiao knows his limitation).

Jailboy will not fight risky opponent like Martinez. Jailboy will always play safe of protecting his zero record asset. Boxing is just a pure business for jailboy.

sergio martinez is another weight class? do you want him to fight tyson size klitchsko brothers next? this is ignorance. dude is too big for floyd. floyd comes in at fights weighing around 147lbs. this guy probably walks around at 170 something.

Martinez has a 52% KO average. He’s not nearly the killer you make him out to be.

LeftRightLeftUppercut

The last paragraph sums it up perfectly! There are plenty of guys 60-68 weight class who I’m sure would be more than happy to accommodate him in his desire to fight. The true Junior Middleweights mentioned would be good matches, even a couple of the Super Middles would be good match ups. As far as Andre Ward goes, Martinez would get thrashed thoroughly, he would lose to Froch as well, but any of the other names would be good fights.

Floyd doesnt take on matches that he thinks he can be beat. Interesting to see what Floyds excuse will be for ducking Sergio.
