Funny,i saw Maidana nailing Broner with shots and not the other way around!I expect the fight to end sooner this time!Posted January 26, 2014 8:19 pm
Paulie should have got a rematch he beat Adrien in my opinion. Or give Maidana a fight vs Paulie. Paulie called him out a slew of times and Goldenboy would not make the fight.Posted January 13, 2014 12:36 am
In just two fights–one with Malignaggi and one with Maidana–a host of weaknesses in Broner’s fight game have been revealed. It’s too bad Malignaggi doesn’t have significantly more power. If he did, Broner never would have made it to a match with Maidana.Posted January 12, 2014 1:35 pm
Would Broner have given Maidana a rematch if he had won as convincing as Maidana won. There is no need for a rematch Broner needs to fight Timoth Bradley in April this will tell boxing fans where Broner really is as a welter weight boxer.Posted January 11, 2014 8:56 pm
“Maidana is the reason Broner’s punch output was too low. It wasn’t about what Broner failed to do it’s about what Maidana didn’t let him do.” – Cosign Hildago. Fact is Maidana put his fist up Broner’s ass from round 1. That made Broner reluctant to let his hands go, for fear of eating more leather.Posted January 11, 2014 8:25 pm
“Maidana should pull the big-shot move and simply reject the “mandatory” recommendation and make his own matchup v. a bigger Name he hasn’t defeated,”
I’ll drink to that, te tumbo. I also agree with Gonzo and others that if Broner had beaten Maidana in overwhelming fashion he wouldn’t be anxious to offer Maidana a rematch.Posted January 11, 2014 4:37 pm
“Broner had enough power to hurt Maidain but his punch output was way to low. ”
Tachyon, Maidana is the reason Broner’s punch output was too low. It wasn’t about what Broner failed to do it’s about what Maidana didn’t let him do.Posted January 11, 2014 4:36 pm
That’s a good point adrien the spoiled kid broner gets an immediate rematch, why didnt Paulie get the rematch?Posted January 11, 2014 4:25 pm
Maidana should pull the big-shot move and simply reject the “mandatory” recommendation and make his own matchup v. a bigger Name he hasn’t defeated, e.g., Garcia, Mathysse, Pacquiao*, Bradley, or Mayweather. Broner should now be forced to pay the basic welter admission price of Soto-Karass whose own unrelenting style overwhelmed the other wanna-bee Mayweather clone in the division. otherwise, Broner’s earned no preferential treatment at welter, which also has no lack of interesting matchups to bank on.Posted January 11, 2014 2:38 pm
Would love to see Maidana knock him out this time.Posted January 11, 2014 12:54 pm

Man broner should give mallinaggi a rematch first!!Posted January 11, 2014 11:06 am
I’m going to be honest a rematch would be fine for maidana but we all saw how much help broner had from the ref their last fight, I wonder now what broner was chatting with the ref about caus remember maidana don t speak English , broner got away with elbows, forearms, and got a free left hook in after the bellPosted January 11, 2014 10:12 am

Broner’s getting knocked out for good this time.Posted January 11, 2014 7:28 am
broner was hurt in every round of that fight almost. He outlanded Broner in 11 of 12 rounds and landed the harder punches.
Broner lost already, and this time Maidzna gonna hurt this little punk even more….. Go Maidana kick that asse again lolPosted January 11, 2014 3:13 am
Broner must have people in high places to get this rematch so quickly. Had the tables been turned, he would have humilliated Maidana to no end and would have refused to give him a rematch. Too bad Maidana can’t turn it down if it’s made mandatory. It will be rigged for Broner for sure unless they get a referee who everybody knows to be fair and firm — who will not allow Broner’s dirty tactics. Glad Maidana made him pay the 1st time and hope Maidana paces himself well to get the win again — won’t even care if it’s by majority decision.Posted January 11, 2014 3:00 am
Broner got it all, but in and out of the ring, he dances like Navin and eats like Oprah Winfrey.
Maidana …. SHOULD walk him down quicker and slicker in the rematch … just depends how much GBP are paying him for this one.Posted January 11, 2014 2:12 am
No, Maidana was all wrong for a fighter like Broner that don’t train, has no pop at the weight and CANNOT fight going backwards.
First off, Malignaggi already exposed the fat chump at 147 and whomever threw him in with Maidana and wants to throw him BACK in with the walk-forward-no-nonsense Marcos is obviously clued enough that they can earn more money of Broner losing than they can matching him like they did Khan.
Maidana beats a Broner all day long … everyday!Posted January 11, 2014 2:08 am
Broner s management will make sure to have a suitable ref and reliable judges this time around… AD can focus on touring with little Wayne and filming himself flushing Benjamin’s down the crapper while making insitefull comments about life in the fast lane.Posted January 11, 2014 2:07 am
I disagree Broner is the more skilled fighter the key issue is punch output. Broner had enough power to hurt Maidain but his punch output was way to low. One punch at a time want get it double and triple jabs are your bread and butter. also Broner needs to work on defense he kept his hands to low and pulled straight back to dodge punches. If I had to compare Broner to a computer he has the fast ssd drive and bandwidth to beat Maidaina but I’m not sure about the CPU I think it might be a celeron. Maidana might have slower drive and less bandwidth but runs on a quad core chip.Posted January 11, 2014 2:00 am
Floyd in the elevator pattin fatty on his rotund out of shape belly was evidence enough of the gap in respect, skills and ability ….
Broner looked like a little black Lennie that just got pet too hardPosted January 11, 2014 1:35 am
This just proven Floyd and broner don’t have a close relationship, ther other ways Floyd telling broner by online that he should go back down, it this Floyd would have told him this is a mistake fight, the card are stack he has to win, or he done, as it’s will show other fighter how to fight broner and win any style broner uses, maidana got his number, as broner can’t get his respect and maidana show use it’s the 2-3 punch that take out a clever boxer, that what i Been saying for Floyd style also, catch him as he duck down with the clubbing right hand, and left hook. 2-3 punchPosted January 11, 2014 12:27 am
Ab has heart if I was him I would do the same thing. Like him or not he took his ass beating lets give him a chance.Posted January 11, 2014 12:16 am

It’s the power of broner which got him an instant rematch.Posted January 10, 2014 11:41 pm
I see Broner being more confident than he is skilled. He didn’t improve his defense, work rate, or foot work from the Malighaggi to the Maidana fight. He doesn’t listen to corner and didn’t take the advice to drop down in weight class. On the hand, Maidana is the stronger harder puncher who can pace himself better and do several other different things. So the rematch is Maidana’s to win or lose.Posted January 10, 2014 11:41 pm

What did I tell ya? Look at the picture, Broner likes using that elbow alot. Talk about a dirty fighter.Posted January 10, 2014 11:16 pm
Big Mistake Broner!
Maidana will beat you up again … only faster!Posted January 10, 2014 10:49 pm
Maidana will ko him this timePosted January 10, 2014 9:47 pm
They need a better referee if this fight does takes place. Broner got away with too many dirty tactics, i.e. using his elbows, forearms, pushing and holding. It almost appeared as if the referee was on Broner’s side. There was even an unusual long count on one of Broner’s knockdown.
Regardless, I believe Broner made a huge mistake forcing such an early rematch. I understand him trying to redeem himself after being embarrassed by Maidana, but it would be difficult to overcome a second loss. And I don’t see the results being any difference if the rematch does takes place, unless Broner can change his style, which of course he could, but it takes more than a few months of training.
He can learn to be more defensive, increase his punching output rate, move his legs more and perhaps improve or abandon Floyd’s shoulder roll imitation, but it takes a long time to unlearn such bad habits. He got accustomed to fighting smaller guys and getting away with his style, but after his Paulie fight, he should’ve learned that 147 pound division is a different ballgame. He tried the same style against Maidana as he did against Paulie, but as opposed to Paulie, Maidana had the power to hurt him and that made the difference.
Anyway, you have to be careful what you wish for and wishing for such quick rematch may prove to be costly for Broner. I take Maidana by decision or late KO.Posted January 10, 2014 9:42 pm

Danielsan just need to fight like me, get on his bike and pot shot for 12 rounds and he will beat MaidanaPosted January 10, 2014 9:20 pm
DEMPSEY Good point and yes, in this particular case it’ll be more of, ‘If it aint broke, DON’T FIX IT’ with few adjustments. Yes, I’m sure Maidana’s team will strategize a bit, but basically it’s the same format, a steady measure of pressure and output with occasional relentless spurts and not permit Broner to feel comfortable in the ring. Will Broner’s movement and sudden counters and pot shots offset Maidana’s constant attack? It’s gonna get awfully hot down the stretch, can Broner ‘take the heat’?? ahhh… Will Broner give ‘El Chino’ a rematch if he wins a rather close or controversial one?? Maybe Maidana should insist on a rematch. And.. it looks like Broner didn’t heed to his “big brother’s” advice to move down to 140Lbs. hmmm.. He might regret it.Posted January 10, 2014 9:19 pm

Broner got owned, your reaching writer. Maidana probably slowed late because of his initial bull rush, and Browner had more energy in the last couple because he spent most of the fight posing.Posted January 10, 2014 9:01 pm

All good comments. True it does make you think, Broner at least has GUTS to face his rival again and avenge his lost (unlike Khan) even though he was beaten bad. Props to Maidana also for being a good and giving the rematch. Maidana didnt have to but he did and it should be a good fight once again.Posted January 10, 2014 8:47 pm
Maidana vs Mayweather. Khan vs Broner on same card. Why should maidana give the rematch? Khan gave no rematch to Maidana and that was close. Maidana deserves Mayweather. The technically awkward aggressive big punching gun slinger type who throws lots of punches and has good chin may be the type to catch Floyd? Its better than Khan!Posted January 10, 2014 8:45 pm
Broner will run like forest gump in this fight. And get a very questionable decision victory so that the cashcow can go on to bigger paydays for GBPPosted January 10, 2014 8:38 pm
Maidana will be more then ready for Broner in a rematch ..Maidana won’t spend all his energy in the first 3 rounds trying to knock Broner out again .. Maidana will hurt Broner thru out the fight ,but Maidana will take a more control approach this time ,that way he won’t be spent by the late rounds .Posted January 10, 2014 8:31 pm
Why fight again? Maidana whooped Broner clearly….was there a rematch clause for that fight and have they signed already for the second fight??

Broner may surprise everyone, since he DID do good in a few rounds! While Maidana convincingly crushed Broner to my absolute pleasure in fight 1, I am going to pick Broner by UD in the fight 2. I hope I am wrong and will be supporting Maidana but I saw something in Broner in that 12th round that he is capable of winning this fight. Head picking Broner by UD. Heart picking Maidana by crushing, concussive KO.Posted January 10, 2014 7:11 pm
Interesting Maidana granted an immediate rematch. Broner should have one of his prostitute strippers give Maidana free hand jobs daily during camp. This is quite an opportunity, since there was no rematch clause.Posted January 10, 2014 6:51 pm

Yea Mayweather already talked to Broner. The plan is to not stand still in the rematch. Their training regimen will include a daily 3 mile run followed by 15 minute sprints and finish with tracking and tackling a pig for added stamina. No way is Maidana getting close to Broner now.Posted January 10, 2014 6:46 pm
