Remember folks….Tark believes bigger and stronger is always BETTER…..He has no idea how wrong this is.Bigger is slower and usually taller.Smaller is faster and usually shorter with better feet. Many with “better skills”……God bless…..kenny weldon

TARK

David Haye was a cruiserweight for most of his career, but beat 335-pound Nic Valuev by a solid margin on my card.. The fight was in Germany.. A 210 pound man in great shape is a match for a 300 pound man.. What he lacks in height and size needs to be made up for in speed and finesse.. Pulev stopped Ustinov after beating the crap out of him with superior skills and speed, so that proves my point … No need for a super heavyweight division, although the cruiserweight division was a good idea.

The heavyweight division is not fair for all heavyweight fighters. Sometimes, the bouts are downright circus acts.

Tark, in answer to your question: I’d recreate the super heavyweight division Tark and put the giants in that. C’mon man, name one other division that allows that kind of weight/size disparity. Just one.

TARK

What’s so funny… The heavyweight class is unlimited as far as weight goes. Valuev was much bigger than Ustinov.. Somebody could weigh 500 pounds for that matter.. What division would you put them in???

HIdalgo

300 lb. “heavyweight.” LOLOLOLOL! The division is a farce, allowing giants to fight much smaller men.

I guess if you make a negative comments about HW’s today, you’re criticized as anti European fighters. Face it, European HW’s, American HW’s, African HW’s, Australian HW’s, and i haven’t seen Asians yet but I think they all are talent handicapped. The thought of finding a good HW boxer has become so desperate, they send them out before they have been adequately developed. Why do you think they are looking for big heavy guys from other sports? Forget it, I think the era of finding another Muhammad Ali, joe Frazier are long gone. Making big money have made the industry short term minded.

Gumboot

Good. Prefer this format. Simpler for this simplton. I hope Pulev wins by ko cos he other three …Rahman not warranting his ranking nor achallenge, Pov gutless, Ustinov 50 pound too heavy…….Pov a world champ? yeah, sure. Im 51 overweiht with a bad shoulder and hip. I would think I’m ideal for Pov if he beats Rahman! Where do I sign?

Hey, Rahman is number one contender, Povetkin has no say in the matter. WBA rules. How Rahman wound up number one is a mystery to me.

Guys, I preferred the new message board with all of its options (quoting, posting comments directly under the quoted comment, etc.). Why turning back the time?

I will be watching these 2 bouts FOR SURE. Great heavyweight matchup with pulev vs ustinov. Watch out for ustinovs power. I think ustinov vs pulevs gonna be a very good fight. Povetkin vs rahman is garbage. Povetkin is acting like garbage in the fights he’s making. I like povetkin but his match making, I just can’t stomach it anymore. It was grandpa holyfield, or rahman, or some other washed up african american. There is a PLETHORA of fights to be made at heavy and povetkin has no excuse. At least when it comes to the klitschkos fighters OPENLY say there just not ready yet. Is povetkin just not ready for the boystovs, helenius’s, fury’s, hayes, stiverne’s, wilders, wachs, abdusamolvs, mitchells, arreolla’s, pulevs, ustinovs, soliz’s, and the lit actually goes on of good matchups. This is why povetkin has begun to sicken me. Its one thing to not fight a klitschko, but if your gonna call yourself a champ, why your not fighting the known, active, and MORE FIGHT WORTHY heavyweights is beyond me. Pull yourhead outta your ass povetkin

These guys look more like UFC fighters with those bellies than actual athletes… Anyway – Pulev UD.
