Bute has been EXPOSED, AGAIN……………….Posted January 20, 2014 4:32 pm
I agree, Bute and Pascal showed that they are both done, at Lhw Kovalev will be the last man standing.
I hope that Bute, at least, retires, there is no more to see there, the worst thing that could happen is that Kovalev/Stevenson decides to take an easy fight, with Bute or Pascal.
It would be wrong, and unhealthy.
Goodbye to Bute, who had a decent run, in the Smw division. The best thing that could have happended for Bute, was a Stieglitz, Abraham fight and then a Ward fight, not Froch in Nottingham.Posted January 20, 2014 8:32 am
Wow Im not sure what fight this writer was watching but his comments on Pacal are well off the mark. Neither fighter won in this fight IMO and just highlighted the fact that they are no longer relevant at the top. Bute was awful and just seemed intent on not getting KO’d. And Pascal looked just as awful in only managing to win by default against a fighter who is so shot would have undoubtedly not lasted more than a few rounds in there with any half decent fighter around this weights class.Posted January 20, 2014 6:36 am
kovalev and stevencon are the 175 lb. division period end of story. kovalev will be the last one standing. if bernard hopkins fights kovalev,it will be a sad day in boxing.he is literally a killer.Posted January 20, 2014 3:10 am
The fight stunk. Both of these guys will get eaten alive down the road.Posted January 19, 2014 8:36 pm
I am STILL the GREATEST Idiot ever born! !!!!!!Posted January 19, 2014 7:04 pm
It appeared to me last light that bute felt a victory just hearing the final bell.
If thats what it takes to get you balls back from carl froch so be it.
Hope that built your confidence going the distance but you cant win a fight unless you throw punches snapperhead.Posted January 19, 2014 7:00 pm
2 guys who got spanked by froch why was anybody interested in first place?!
“viscous liver shot” LOLOLOLOLOLOL “vicious”, fool!Posted January 19, 2014 4:32 pm
Poor fight, did they say Pascal sparred with Ward, it sure shows, Kovelev and Stephenson laughing all the way to the bank.Posted January 19, 2014 4:18 pm
Pascal was spanked by Froch which puts it all into perspective.Posted January 19, 2014 1:51 pm
I have to agree with some of these posts. While I actually enjoyed the fight to some extent, neither fighter showed what they should have. IMO, the Froch fight didn’t ruin Bute so much as Bute was never what they tried to make him out to be. The most impressive name on his record is Glen Johnson who was WAAAAY past his prime. The only person in the Super Six tournament I though he could beat was Allen Green who should have never been there in the first place. Pascal has some good tools and natural talent, but his punches are VERY inaccurate and his endurance is questionable, He never seems to have strong championship rounds when he fights a decent fighter. All in all I have to say the fight was decently entertaining, but these guys are never gonna beat Stevenson or Ward when he finally decides to become a true LHW.Posted January 19, 2014 1:38 pm
Pascal WON just as I predicted! !!!!! I am STILL the GREATEST Fight Prophet ever born! !!!!!!Posted January 19, 2014 1:37 pm
This fight was embarrassing for boxing. Lucian Bute is damaged goods if not finished. It’s obvious that Karl Froch destroyed him as a fighter. Last night he looked like a deer caught in headlights. He was so afraid of getting hit, he just couldn’t let his hands go. A great olympic boxer but not a pro.
As for Pascal he was true to his showboating lazy self and fought in spurts in every round. This guy is incapable of sustained action; he flurries then either goes into a shell or stops and claps at himself.
Pascal will be destroyed by either Stevenson or Kovalev.Posted January 19, 2014 12:19 pm
Bute fought like a guy with no confidence. Most of the punches that Paschal landed were to the back of thehead. Paschal won the fight, but Bute may landed more clean blows in the last round than either guy did for the rest of the fight.Posted January 19, 2014 12:14 pm
Terrible fight. Bute couldn’t pull the trigger and Pascal is perhaps the most inaccurate puncher on the elite level. Kovalev and Stevenson both would destroy either of these guys.Posted January 19, 2014 11:37 am

Max Kellerman sorry.Posted January 19, 2014 11:03 am
Ok…just checked another site confirming Bute lost.Posted January 19, 2014 10:47 am
I assume Bute won but from a skim Read of this article And the comments I haven’t seen a clear answer. Anyone?Posted January 19, 2014 10:39 am
This fight was not close at all. This is what happens when you fight C and B fighters and then jump up to the elite level. Most of the time you get pummeled unless you are the real deal. Bute is a B level fighter. He can easily dispatch of C fighters and some B fighters. But he will never beat an A level or Elite level talentPosted January 19, 2014 10:38 am
Bute will never be the same after the Cobra, and you saw it yesterday. He fought scared. No doubt he was reliving the pummeling that I put on him. Personally I thought it was a closer fight than the score cards. Pascal fought very negatively and was inactive for large stretches of the fight. But the fight could’ve gone either way I thought. Neither boxer really impressed me and I think Stevenson or Kovalev will put either one of them on a stretcher.Posted January 19, 2014 10:25 am
Bute isn’t shot, it was merely the fact that he was so overrated.Posted January 19, 2014 10:12 am
The more Bute fights, the more timid he looks. He twitched so much I thought someone had poked him one time too many with an electric cattle prod before he stepped into the ring. I never saw a fighter who was so worried about getting hit.
The more Pascal fights, the more stupid he looks. You have to admit, not too many fighters showboat their idiocy. Pascal specializes in that.Posted January 19, 2014 9:10 am
Bute was fighting a guy who went toe to toe for 12 rounds with the guy who tko’d him, its no surprise he fought like he didPosted January 19, 2014 7:37 am
What an awful fight! Pascal throws nothing and Bute is so shot its unbelievable. Bute reminds me of Jeff Lacey after Calzaghe ruined him, froch has definitely ruined Bute.Posted January 19, 2014 5:04 am
