TARK

VO is doing his impression of Amir Khan.

On “Dancing with the Stars” he kept talking about a rematch with Floyd Mayweather… and in interviews that’s all he talked about… “Floyd used his elbow 25 times and closed my eye. I can’t wait for the rematch.”

How about getting a win??? That’s the only way to get back in line.

I think Collazo wins by decision. Ortiz will be discouraged when he sees Luis still in front of him late in the fight.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Ortiz turns vicious just for this fight and knocks off the last of Puerco Ricos hopes. I was hoping for Collazo to win, but with all the crap the Puercos be talking, I changed, I want Ortiz to come on strong, ala Berto.

that daquan arnett and eddie gomez fight could steal the show two highly regarded prospects and talented fighters im still torn by who to pick in this one it a tough call i like both fighters but i slighty go with arnett tho he a lil more faster and lil more athletic arnett already been tested before and been through some adversity eddie gomez never been yet so i give the edge right there to arnett but arnett chin is suspect tho alot of times he can lose focus or get lazy in there he fights on the inside to much instead of boxing more both fighters throw good left hooks arnett is a good body puncher it going to be a explosive fight with alot of skill displayed like a chess match but gomez seem like he got that it factor as far as his personatliy and charisma he a confident fighter but arnett is very talented once he just put everything together the sky the limit for him i dont think it going the distance so i see arnett winning by ko around the 6 or 7 round we see

this victor ortiz and luis collazo fight going to be fireworks ortiz is always in a exciting fight he never in a boring fight somthing dramatic always happens in a victor ortiz fight but he have been off for awhile tho im sure he going to have some ring rust even know he said he wont but all fighters say that they dont know till they get in that ring if i was collazo he should take it right to ortiz in a smart way tho not in a reckless way cause ortiz still got that power that can end things i think collazo got to get in ortiz chest get on the inside go to the body trying to break him down make it a dogfight then that when we going to find out if ortiz heart is still in boxing or not but collazo is well rounded he can fight on the outside or inside differences here tho that ortiz is the harder puncher if collazo can handle that power he will win but if he cant then ortiz will win i think collazo will win he more hungry and he fighting in his hometown i think he got what it takes to beat ortiz collazo is as tough as they come

It’s not my tally that we’re discussing here. My tally is immaculate. My total number of ESB ranking points exceeds the combined total of everyone else’s on here by at least 500,000. Hence why I am widely regarded by all and sundry here as the greatest poster in the history of the site. It’s your absolutely pitiful tally we’re discussing here, which unfortunately for you just took another hefty hit. A hefty hit that for obvious reasons a lowly raking poster such as yourself can ill afford.

I bet that little queen would’ve lapped every droplet of it up before you got a chance to zip your flies back up and put your little party sausage back in your Spiderman underpants. Do you recall Money cracking that bum with a sucker punch though? When Ortiz’s eyes were averted because he was having a conversation with that corrupt tortoise-face obese stroke victim cnut Cortez? You must remember that brother?

Ortiz has to win and win in pretty impressive fashion if he wants to be back in the mix. I do think the guy has talent but at times has seemed to be a bit of a head case. But when he’s with it he can be a good fighter.

“so we will see how hard Victor tries because, to everyone’s surprise, he fought his ass off against Berto”. NO. only those who aren’t very good at analyzing matchups were surprised. otherwise, Ortiz’s ferocity was always going to be too much for Berto to neutralize and overcome. Berto had his moments but Ortiz was already convinced he was the superior fighter and that confident mindset enabled Ortiz to take off the leash and go for Berto’s heart.

I remember Floyd dispatching Ortiz when the ref said time in. I remember Ortiz trying to kiss and hug Floyd. I don’t recall Ortiz putting anything on Floyd but a headbutt. That is it.

Anyone remember that time Money May needed to pull the straight up ghetto trash standard b-i-t-c-h move aka the sucker punch to get past this delusional square-jawed coca bean munching chump? Tomato can hype job quitter Ortiz was really putting it on him and Money started getting all scurred that he was going to get knocked out by a no skill vegetable and started giving Ortiz lashings of Elbow soup. Ortiz weren’t having none of it though and he said, ”OK you piece of chicken s-h-i-t.. so you wanna play dirty huh? Well have some of this”, and he stuck his nut right in Money’s ugly mush, bloodying his lip a little. But even though Ortiz was only reacting to Money’s dirty crap he took it upon himself to be the bigger man and graciously apologized for loosing his cool and extended his hand and offered him an olive branch, partly to so they could both be bigger men and bury their silly little momentary beef and partly so that it would send out the right message to the youth and all the mini Victor Ortiz and Money May fans watching. But Money wasn’t having any of it. The uncouth swine threw that olive branch right back in his face and loaded up on the biggest haymaker you’ll ever see on a completely unsuspecting Ortiz who was busy trying to get the referee’s attention. You have to ask yourself what kind of b-i-t-c-h pulls a low down dirty move like that, and moreover, what kind of so called legend of the sport needs to do so to get past a complete can like Ortiz.

Cracking fight this! Two fighters with decentish names matching up. Will be interesting to see how much Callzao has left in the tank. To be fair to Callazo a aprt from his early career KO he has never really been steam rollered and held his own and been competative with the Likes of Hatton, Mosley and Berto. Oriz on the other hand has unravelled on a few occasions. I think Ortiz is the better boxer so for me the likely hood is Ortiz via a competative points victory, or the time out of the ring and his recent poor performances will cause him to come undoen once Callzao puts some pressure on him.

Too much is put on a boxers record. Undefeated doesn’t mean you’re great just means you were well protected. Joe Louis, Ali, Sugar Ray Robinson, Leonard, Haglar, Herns, Duran, Chavez, are all time greats. It was because they had no loses, it was because they were warriors and fought the best of there time and ducked no one. Mayweather wants to be in those elite names fighting Kahn is not going to get home there. Dismissed.

“They are not champs and he already beat the champ that had the WBA belt. Also at one point he had the IBF belt also. Only title he hasn’t held at welter weight was the WBO belt”

Wrong Peej. Mayweather has never won a WBA welterweight belt. Nor does he have those belts–the ones you are talking about– now, nor has he ever held them all at the same time. Floyd won the IBF welterweight title from Judah way back in 2006. He hasn’t fought for it since, either to win it back or to defend it. He vacated the IBO and IBA welterweight titles (which he won from Baldomir) back in 2006 when he moved up to jr. middleweight. Those titles don’t carry over for 8 years. The main welterweight title that Floyd has won and forfeited and won over the years is the WBC which he currently holds. He has never fought for the welterweight WBO, or WBA titles.

“There is only 1 Welter Weight Champ and that is Mayweather.”

BTW, Peej, that’s according to The Ring Magazinea and the WBC ONLY. The IBF, WBO, and WBA see differently. Ask the champs who are wearing their belts.

“Floyd is the best.”

LOL, you wish!

Posted January 28, 2014 2:29 pm

Hidalgo

“There is only 1 Welter Weight Champ and that is Mayweather.”

Hardly. He hasn’t beat every other welterweight “titilist” (Just for you Peej). In order to be the true welterweigh champion, he must win all the titles. Right now he owns just two, I don’t care what award The Ring gives him–or any other “champion” for that matter. When Floyd fights all the other welterweight champs and beats them, in the ring, then he’ll be the true welterweight champion. This means he has to fight and beat Maidana, Bradley, and Porter, and in order to keep the “championship” after beating all those guys, he has to defend it as well.

Until then, he’s just another titlist. Presently Floyd owns only one welterweight title which was awarded to him by an official sanctioning body. The other one was awarded to him by a magazine. This would be a paper award.

SRMINIMO, Ortiz rubbing you the wrong way is ultimately irrelevant to the outcome this matchup. i’m also annoyed by Ortiz’s sense of entitlement but it doesn’t change that Collazo is not even on Ortiz’s level and lacks the offensive “Pop!” to trigger Ortiz’s survival instinct. Collazo was handpicked to make Ortiz look good. of course, even the best-laid plans can go awry but on paper and videotape, Collazo will be steamrolled by Ortiz. more than Ortiz’s boxing career is riding on the outcome of this bout and the next. if Ortiz fails, there’ll will be no more televised bouts in his future. Collazo has already passed that threshold and for a reason. he’s not even on Ortiz’s level in terms of talent, highlights, and lowlights.

Te tumbo- Ortiz is talented, no doubt about that. But he lacks fortitude and that gives ANYONE a chance against him any given day. Collazo probably doesn’t have the pop to take advantage of Victor’s weak psyche, but except for the Mosley fight, he really has been there til the end with everybody. If he can stay away from Victor’s mauling and can land a couple of good shots early, we might have one final “no más.” That would make me happy as a clam, as Ortiz’s sense of entitlement just rubs me the wrong way.
