Go with ringrat on this one…..Joey can dig, plus he’s a southpaw and Tyson is not hard to tag…..he won’t be able to sag all over Abell, as he is a big lad to…..but lack of preparation will be a big factor. If he hits the ground running he could surprise Furry…….WTF AM I GOING ON ABOUT THIS IS A DONE DEAL!!!!!!!.

Posted February 8, 2014 4:32 am

Ringrat

Abell is taking this on short notice and he doesn’t expect to win. It’s (I hope) a nice payday. Take a few and fall down. Weird things happen in boxing though. If Fury plays around in there he could get tagged with a wild shot.

Felch-Hamster

Just a blowing off the cobwebs fight for Fury, which is natural, so why all the hate? No other young heavy has his resume do they?????

Posted February 7, 2014 11:51 am

dwc

People cant get past Fury when he was fighting at 20 yrs old as a pro and other hvwts were still in the amatures 6yrs older then him.Fury is a top 5 fighter at this point..still moving up and still very young in hvwt terms. If Fury stays positive he will surprise alot of nay sayers.

Paddy Power

Fury is the pride of Ireland, what a joke.

another hw comedy show. nothing new.

Posted February 6, 2014 3:21 pm

mack

Fury should be in shape for this one. I expect he will stop Abell in four or five. Nothing against Abell, but the author is writing checks that Joey can’t cover.

huckster

its light them up in london. the fury on is on the ice skating like usual.

Posted February 6, 2014 8:41 am

Joe

Poor Joey I hope he makes some good money at least

Posted February 6, 2014 8:29 am

Martin

The problem with Fury is all he has in his favour is his size. As a boxer he has even less talent than Valuev. Shrink either of these two down to (say) 6′ 2″ and they couldn’t make it as boxers in any division. They wouldn’t even make decent local club fighters.

Posted February 6, 2014 6:48 am

Martin

“just before Fury KTFO USS”

You mean LTFO: Leaned the F uck On. That wasn’t boxing.

Posted February 6, 2014 6:44 am

Tony.G.G. Galento

LOL at those guys saying Arreola, Adamek and Wilder would beat Fury..Hell, Wilder hasnt beat ANYONE, let alone Fury. Arreola is a fat slob who has lost every time he stepped up, including to blown up LT Heavy Adamek, and as for Adamek, he got a gift against USS Cunningham, just before Fury KTFO USS. So wheres the logic folks?

Posted February 6, 2014 5:19 am

rod

Fury is a joke, wilder is a bigger joke and wlad fighting guys like leapai, pianetta and mormeck are a joke. The whole division is a comedy festival.

BEARS

fury has been fighting heavy since before haye even debuted at heavy. that should tell u something. then when fury started talkn klitschko smack i was like whoa dude. your outta your league son. fury started coming iff as a joke to me. im not into untested, and unearned title shots. i don believe in talking yourself into a title shot or beating a bum like berto and getting a title shot. fans deffending thatgarbage are fans of garbage

Posted February 6, 2014 2:04 am

Farmboxer

More bias against Fury. Only praise for Wilder and the bums he throws wild punches against. I like Tyson Fury and his cousin Hughie Fury, both are far better than Wilder. Wilder ran from Chisora and Thompson while Fury will fight Chisora again after winning their first fight. Since Scott punches like a featherweight and Chisora knocked him out, Wilder has decided to take a chance, but Scott is no good.

Posted February 6, 2014 1:19 am

Ray Ray

About time they both stepped up….anyways this is about how much of a hype job Fury is, not wilder.

Posted February 6, 2014 12:57 am

Remember then

Wilder will get pole axed like Michael Grant did against Lennox Lewis, Grant, if you remember was more hyped then Wilder, he is going to beat Lennox Lewis, got completely destroyed by Lewis.

Posted February 5, 2014 11:54 pm

KO.

Classic hype job, worst ever when you look at his record, top 5 in the rankings.

Posted February 5, 2014 11:41 pm

KO.

Wilder is the bigger joke, won’t fight anyone remotely dangerous, and is ranked, that is the joke.

Posted February 5, 2014 11:38 pm

KO.

Fury did knock Cunningham out after a few rounds, right, you have done well, it’s knockout time.

Posted February 5, 2014 11:34 pm

OH Yeah

Fury gets levelled in this one and all his pipe dreams of making something decent of his fraudulent career thus far, evaporate before his very eyes.

Posted February 5, 2014 11:32 pm

Kato3388

I have to find one good thing to say about Fury, his trash talking is right up there with the best of them. Unfortunately there’s little to no substance to back it up, so Fury= Big Joke.

Posted February 5, 2014 11:25 pm

Ray Ray

Bears said it best. 100% spot on. Fury isn’t world class.

Posted February 5, 2014 11:03 pm

the only contender taking decent fights at heavy as far as ican tell is jennings and maybe stiverne. wilder and rspecially fury should be ashamed. fury has been at it for years after hal that time vitaly had already ktfo herbie hide with a jab in his first title fight. vitaly was also fighting ungodly ammounts of fights every year. as far as im concerned fury never really stepped up. he got a green chisora who is really not much of a boxer does he even have a jab ? fury ppv worthy? not at all. no more than hughie or wilder are ppv worthy. fury has not even face anyone on par with arreola. tyson is sad

Posted February 5, 2014 10:25 pm

badger

fury is always fun to watch. he always wins too.

Posted February 5, 2014 9:54 pm

Ray Ray

Klit, Pulev, Povetkin,Adamek, Stiverne, Arreola, Haye would all end in a a lose 4 Fury. A lot of other guys out there would give him trouble 2.

Posted February 5, 2014 9:19 pm

Fraud ‘Mo Money’ Duckweather

Wilder will take on this Joey Abell in about ten fights time, lol!

Posted February 5, 2014 9:18 pm

50-0

Haye would put Wilder into next decade if he fought him, Klitschkos are difficult to beat, Fury is a good fighter, if Fury fought Wilder, Wilder would be scared and get countered and dropped, and he would not get up.

Posted February 5, 2014 9:04 pm

Ray Ray

@least ray Charles could feel his own left uppercut coming at him….what an idiot.

Posted February 5, 2014 8:54 pm

Ray Ray

Ahh more posters with nothing 2 add about the topic instead calling people names….I pity the fool. If Fury is the Brits great hope than ur in trouble….

Posted February 5, 2014 8:52 pm

.308 > .222

Fury the future champ.

Posted February 5, 2014 8:51 pm

Ray Ray

Don’t no if Wilder has a dodgy chin, won’t until he steps up in competition. Wilder would stop Fury though…..easy. 2 quick 2 busy 2 much power, overwhelm furystien 4 sure

Posted February 5, 2014 8:49 pm

Trayvon

Haha, dang fool, Ray Ray!

Posted February 5, 2014 8:49 pm

Mr T

Ray Ray, dang fool! Git yo ass out of here, day-um, you blinder than Ray Charles!!!

Posted February 5, 2014 8:48 pm

Wilder has a dodgy chin, they know it, obvious.

Posted February 5, 2014 8:45 pm

50-0

Abell is about 10 fights away for Wilder.

Posted February 5, 2014 8:43 pm

Ray Ray

Yeah Price is no good….Fury won’t b far behind him. I think I was being generous when saying 5/6 guys could beat Fury…it’s probs more like 10 guys, maybe even a few cruisers 2 ha ha ha. Furystien is a big sack of poo…..looks and moves like Frankinstien 2.

Posted February 5, 2014 8:41 pm

Martin

if *it’d* been price, even….

Posted February 5, 2014 8:24 pm

Martin

@Ray Ray

Yeah, first saw it ages ago myself, but I remembered it was Fury. If it’s been Price, it’d have definitely been a KO (LOL!).

Posted February 5, 2014 8:23 pm

Robo

I am with Martin

Posted February 5, 2014 8:22 pm

Ray Ray

I no….I was going 2 mention it b4 but seen it ages ago, I wasn’t 100% sure if it was Dury or Price….until u mentioned it. If I close my eyes I can c it now. Got himself flush 2, ha ha ha.

Posted February 5, 2014 8:09 pm

Martin

@Ray Ray

Ah yes, I remembered it wrongly: just watched it again and you’re right, a right upper-cut it was. Funny as f uck!

Posted February 5, 2014 8:04 pm

Ray Ray

Ha ha ha that’s the best upper cut he’s ever thrown….

Posted February 5, 2014 7:34 pm

Martin

@kato3388

Fury is a joke on all sides of all ponds (this coming from Manchester, England). What else can you say about a bloke who nearly knocks himself out with his own left hook?

Posted February 5, 2014 7:30 pm

kato3388

Who in their right minds would be impressed with Fury?!?!?!? It’s like watching Shaq dunk on a 9 1/2 ft rim. Big deal! Other than being able to rile people up with his outlandish talks, I have not seen anything close to resembling a decent fighter from Fury. He’s a big joke. He also falls under the Adrien Broner stigma. All talk until he gets in the ring with a legitimate fighter. Cunningham, was a legit fighter. Unfortunately BIG BABY HUEY (Fury) decided to pick on a cruiserweight instead of actually fighting a legit HW. Arreola, Adamek, Stiverne, Mike Perez, these are guys Fury should be fighting instread of trying to secure a fight with the Klits….. Lets keep it real, Fury is a JOKE. If he’s not a joke on that side of the pond, he surely is on this side.

AH Strauss the new Collins. Joey will be sleeping early in London.

Posted February 5, 2014 6:57 pm

Ray Ray

Very lucky against Cunningham who’s no heavyweight. There’s probs 5/6 guys who will beat fury.

Posted February 5, 2014 6:43 pm

Ray Ray

I’m not that impressed with Fury. He’s like the English cricket team, only good when things r going his way. If not Delboy than some1 real soon will belt Fury…..

Posted February 5, 2014 6:39 pm

Martin

P.S. Fury has a mean left hook, of course, so it could all end quickly if he lands that. Then Abell will get the KO without even having to land.

Posted February 5, 2014 6:36 pm

Martin

“With 28 ko wins from 29 wins if Joey can land it’s all over”

Not if Fury manages to tap his belly first (go watch the Pulev fight in which he supposedly “drops” Pulev — especially end of round three and round four — and you’ll see what I mean).

Of course, if Fury imitates Pulev and goes for his belly at the same time that he imitates Cunningham and throws an overhand right it could all be over. I seriously doubt it though.

Posted February 5, 2014 6:34 pm

Curtis Lowe

Is the writer of this article Joey Abell’s manager?

Or did Tyaon Fury forcibly cornhole him a while back?

Posted February 5, 2014 6:09 pm
