You don’t get the point. The point is Mayweather make it impossible make terms with Pacquiao team because he doesn’t want to fight. He was ok with 50/50 with Bob Arum as promoter in the first negotiation but he wants a never heard before drug testing. And when manny agrees to the drug testing he now wants a guaranteed 100 million. And then there is the 40 million offer without percentage of the PPV. Then Pacquiao said he is ok with 45/55 and drug testing even every round ( jokingly ) and Mayweather came up with the Bob excuse. Perhaps Bob Arum is right in comparing Mayweather tactics to Hitler.Posted February 11, 2014 10:54 am

Does it matter when it happened. Question….When has Pacman EVER made 40 Million in a fight???? NEVER…I will help you out!!!! Like you said this is BUSINESS; if Im P4P best and I’ve broken all sorts of PPV numbers; you think I’m about to SPLIT 50/50 with you; HELL NO!!!!Posted February 11, 2014 8:04 am
Octavio that 40 million offer happened before he lost to Bradley. The 40 million is an insult. And that was without ppv %age. That means Mayweather will make around 100 million. It’s like Pacquiao is a class B boxer. There has to be a negotiation because this business. You can’t just give 40 million take it or leave it. And the other guy can’t say anything. Mayweather knew they are not going to accept the 40 million that’s why he offered it just to make it appear he wants to fight.Posted February 10, 2014 10:27 pm

@WarZ; there is just one problem with what you just suggested; which by the way IS DOWNRIGHT STUPID. You have to have some sort of LEVERAGE to do that. Manny is NOT the P4P best whether you like it or not; nor is his numbers as far as PPV as big as Floyd numbers. So there you have it……………Posted February 9, 2014 12:43 pm

Pacquiao would be stupid to go looking for a KO.
If a KO shows up you go for it. You try to keep your opponent on the hook and finish him off … If a KO doesn’t present itself you don’t look for it.. You box.. You win the round by as many punches as you can.. You do the same thing the next round.. You win the decision big … At this level KO’s don’t happen most of the time.
If you land something big and hurt your opponent??? But that is not going to happen in every fight.. Especially with Tim Bradley who’s hard to stop.. Bradley is 30.. Manny 35.. You use a little discretion. You might hurt him and stop him — but probably not.
It’s important that you win… Just win baby!!! That it!!! Don’t try for a sensational KO. You said you were going for the fences before a previous fight and said you would get the KO … Didn’t happen.Posted February 7, 2014 11:17 pm
Manny Pacquiao has now stated that he will NOT be the Mr. Nice Guy he’s been of late, which means serious trouble for Timothy Bradley and any future opposition. A man of the streets can leave the streets, but the streets will never leave him. Manny will now resort to the mentality he had as a young man roaming the streets for survival. A cat that’s cornered against a wall will fight back with extraordinary strength, reflexes and vision. This will be Manny Pacquiao on April 12 when he faces Timothy Bradley at the MGM Grand. I recall watching one of the Rocky movies when Apollo Creed yells at Rocky saying “There is no tomorrow, There is no tomorrow, There is no tomorrow, There is no tomorrow.” For both Manny and Timothy, there is no tomorrow. Only one will continue leave the ring as champion. Manny Pacquiao will be that one. Timothy Bradley has questioned Manny’s Killer Instinct of all things. He dared to think that the greatest offensive fighter of all time has lost his inner ability to destroy and dismantle any opponent. What happens when you throw a water balloon at a wasp nest? Disaster, confusion and non stop attacks. Manny will not stop and punish Bradley for as long as this fight lasts, which should be from 4-9 rounds. Timothy need only be reminded of the Manny’s reign of terror as he broke bones, bodies and PPV records. He massacred Oscar, Cotto, Mosely, Margarito, Larios, Barrera, Morales, Hatton and others. The beatings we’re inhuman. Why do you think Floyd Mayweather refuses to fight Manny? He watched Manny almost send his opponents to the morgue. We must be reminded that boxing is a sport. People don’t understand the monster that Manny Pacquiao can become inside the boxing ring. He’s been criticized for not knocking guys out. They say he’s become soft, and there may be some truth to Manny’s compassion, but the true reason is that Manny loves life and refuses to take any life inside the ring. he will not permanently hurt anyone. he has love for his fellow human being, and he will go soft on opposition only to save their lives. Remember Margarito, Hatton, Diaz. These were fighters on their way out. Thank Manny Pacquiao for his compassion. Timothy Bradley best not call out Manny’s Killer instinct. Things could get seriously painful for him. Manny is the best.Posted February 7, 2014 9:23 pm

Blood Money Boxing
Manny Pacquiao is in a position where he needs Floyd. Financially hurting, Top Rank running out of opponents for him, and he wants one last big pay day before he commits himself full time to politics. Clearly Floyd has leverage over Pacman. Pacman is suggesting fighting for free and that his phone lines are open. With this leverage, Floyd will have control of the negotiation process where he can call most of the shots. Well, thats if this fight takes place in 2015. bloodmoneyboxing.com @bloodmoneyboxinPosted February 7, 2014 7:12 pm

Great sporting events like the Super Bowl, NBA Championship, US Open and the World Series create excitement throughout the world. Sports is what many of us live for. Our childhood heroes are created for the most part through sports. Today, one man stands as above all our sports heroes. His name, Manny Pacquiao. Manny began his professional boxing career as a 16 year old. Raised in poverty and living from minute to minute could have made any person give up and quit life. Manny Pacquiao , as he does in his boxing career, fought his way out. He would not let life’s obstacles deter him from helping his mother and family get a better life. These were the cards he was dealt, and he accepted them. Back alley brawls for pennies, selling bread, sleeping on the streets, under bridges and with no education, Manny Pacquiao is a miracle. One has only to look at Manny Pacquiao’s story to see hope, strength perseverance and success. Forward to today, Manny is all over the television networks. He is the talk of the world, and not just the sporting world. His publicized rematch with Timothy Bradley is epic. The world has been somewhat depressed since the robbery of Manny’s welterweight boxing title taken by the hands blind boxing judges. The outcry of boxing fans and people in general still lingers in our hearts. A bad dream that won’t go away. April 12 is a day that is permanently marked on our calendars. A day of redemption , vindication and truth. Manny Pacquiao will make a monumental entrance to the boxing ring that will set off a thunderous applause and standing ovation that will set off car alarms for months. It’s rumored that there will be a home coming parade for him once he arrives. The fighting congressman, Pride of The Philippines, Biggest Little Man, King Of Courage and the Peoples Champion all describe Manny Pacquiao. I’m feeling a bit sorry for Timothy Bradley because no one gives him any credit. He is a good fighter with a tarnished record. He does deserve this rematch, but it’s going to end badly for him. Timothy has nothing to offer. He will be fighting an emotional man that will become unbeatable on that night. Don’t miss this fight or you will miss greatness like never seen before. Trust me, this night will be special. Manny is the bestPosted February 7, 2014 3:20 pm
@WarZ – “Did you know that recently Pacquiao said no problem with blood testing? … It was Bob Arum who refuses the drug testing because he doesn’t want Manny to be bullied by you pre Madonna boy Floyd. ..”
So by your reckoning, Arum scuppered the fight when it was at its best chance of being made (i.e. the very first negotiations). That was at a time where Mayweather had agreed to Pac’s requests (ring size, gloves and overweight penalty), and Mayweather’s only request was for random blood tests (to which Pacquiao answered with a defamation suit… hint: suing someone is generally not a good way to forge a business relationship).
Now if Arum is that bad a business man that he’d let the fight of the century be lost all over an issue that you seem to be implying Pacquiao actually had no problem with… then why the hell is Pacquiao still working with Arum? Pac should’ve fired the obnoxious, windbag the minute the initial negotiation fell through!
Mama: What’s interesting son, is that in a poll of writers on RingTV, a good deal of them feel that YOU will wind up fighting Khan anyway, even if Maidana is the one that wins the poll vote.

I think Manny is just bringing some humor to it all. I think the question has become so redundant that he wass just looking at saying something that he can just laugh it off and be done with it, rather than another upcoming fight with an opponent and all they do is bring up FMJ questions.Posted February 7, 2014 4:46 am
Why in the hell is Manny even waiting on Floyd to call him? If he was really sincere about making the fight happen he knows dam well how to get in touch I am sure, That right get in that BS again he be on some arrogant sht, Manny can make this fight happen if he i was really serious he dont even need to get the media involved to try and pressure Floyd it will never work it hasnt yet and the fool dont get it because he is Arums pet who is behind all of his actions. Pacquiao isn’t begging… He’s answering a question he gets 5,000 times a day… “When are you going to fight Floyd???”
A very casual answer…. “Anytime Floyd wants.”
Pretty simple answer… But Floyd invented a new excuse… That’s ALL.Posted February 7, 2014 2:02 am

Who is Mayweather to call the shots? He is prizing himself out! How about if Pacquiao would give Mayweather 40 million. In the initial negotiation he is ok with 50/50 , and with Bob Arum as promoter but he is demanding about never heard before drug testing. At this point 50/50 may not be the case anymore that is why Pacquiao agrees to a 40/60. But your boy Floyd’s alibi is Bob Arum.Posted February 6, 2014 11:27 pm

Manny is desperate he needs Floyd the phone lines are open, I will fight for charity I will do and say anything for you Floyd because I needs your help. This fight will most likely Happen if Floyd somehow feels sorry for him But Floyd has only 3 fights left. Kahn or Miadana it really dont matter both gets beat easy. Kahn is just looking for a big pay day like everyone else he knows no way in hell he has a chance of winning. Floyd can beat Kahn then Maidana but after that who does that leave? Shawn Porter or Thurman. Danny Garcia is too small. Manny will be in a better position once he gets bigger wins, not against guys like Rios and then once his contract is up with Arum. Before then it aint happening right now he really wants a hand out. He sucks and his fights dont sell for sht…Posted February 6, 2014 11:02 pm

The phones were open when Freddie Roach said:
“He does not react well to having blood taken. He’s weak for three days, afterwards. Some people pass out after blood being taken. Maybe it’s not physical, but it bothers him mentally. We can’t have that five days or three days out from the fight. I don’t want to send my fighter in there feeling weak mentally or physically, so we would not agree to that.”
Then Manny Pacquiao:
“As long as they’re not getting a large amount of blood, I am willing to give out blood as close to two weeks before the fight,”
“The fight won’t happen until we build a stadium in Las Vegas big enough to host a fight of this magnitude”
Then Franklin Gacal Jr:
“History is waiting and Bob should free Manny,” Gacal said. “That would be Bob’s greatest contribution to boxing history.”
The phone has NOT always been on 24/7 now has it?
However, Floyd has always been clear as he told Larry Merchant live, post-fight Shane Mosley in the ring:
“If Manny Pacquiao take the blood and urine test, we can make the fight happen for all the fans”

Anonymous, I watched the Hatman video that you mentioned.
It doesn’t reveal squat about Floyd. What it does reveal is Hatman’s envy and possible hatred for Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Floyd is not a member of a Native American tribe that practices potlatch traditions (If you don’t know what “potlatch” is, Google it and you’ll understand it’s relationship to what both Hatman and I said).
Floyd is American, he lives in America, he earned his money in America and he can do want he wants with it. He does not have to be a philanthropist just because someone else wants him to be one. He does not have to give his money to Africans just because someone else wants him or expects him to do so.
But Hatman did make a number of truthful, legitimate statements that are based on fact. It is a fact that Africa is being raped for its natural resources. It is a fact that a large part of the reason so much of Africa is in the sad state that it is is because many Africans do not have access to their own natural resources–they are harvested and sold elsewhere around the world–the overwhelming majority going to modern “Westernized” countries.
So for Floyd to think that African’s have never done anything for him, he is ignorantly wrong because he very likely has benefited from much of what Africa has provided to the world in the way of food, textiles, minerals, oil and innumerable other resources that that continent is farmed for. But that doesn’t mean Floyd owes them anything. After all, he didn’t take it from them directly.
It’s Floyd’s money. He can do what he wants with it. For some reason our society thinks it has the right to mandate wealthy people to give away their money. I guess it’s the American way of massaging itself so most Americans can sustain themselves with the realization that they will never enjoy such wealth.
But I tell you what, if Floyd is expected to give money to Africans, most Americans should also be expected to do the same. On an individual per capita basis, America is one of the richest countries in the world. We can afford it.Posted February 6, 2014 2:30 pm
i think the only guy that Floyd should fight is Pacquiao. However, if the only choice is between Khan and Maidana I’ll have to go with Khan because I have no doubt that Floyd vs Maidana wil be the same as Floyd vs Gatti. I do believe Khan will make it a little more exciting but I wouldn’t pay to see either one.
I wonder what Broner is thinking of his pal now. If Floyd chooses Maidana that would mean Broner cannot get his revenge. What kind of friend is Floyd now.
I should add one more thing and that is:
everybody and their grandmother knows that if Arum isn’t willing to let pac (his son) negotiate a deal without himself being in the mix that this fight isn’t happening and no way is Arum going to agree to not be relevant in the highest paid fight ever..facts!!Posted February 6, 2014 2:17 pm
Mayweather is the current WBA and WBC world boxing champion. Isn’t it the role of the governing body to decide who a champion has to fight? That should be the challenger who’s earned the right in the ring, surely. Not who the champion himself chooses!Posted February 6, 2014 2:08 pm
let me educate the pachuggers – don’t you find it interesting that pac would not agree to random drug testing with mayweather but will with bradley? and..how can mayweather be anything but the best when he dominates canelo, guerrero, cotto etc?Posted February 6, 2014 1:41 pm
“I have, and continue, to say no way to maidana, khan, and any other prospective opponent labeled a “solid guy” by Mayweather and GBP when Pacquiao is being avoided.”
A fairl perspective and argument, Jab. This fight should have been made years ago, but for any number of reasons and mutual fault Pac and Mayweather didn’t make it happen. Blame should be laid on both men equally.
But Floyd is only one fighter. The real problem in boxing–not just at welterweight–is the problem between GBP and Top Rank. These two companies refuse to work together and because they do they are cruelly and unfairly short-changing the entire boxing world and boxing fans alike.
Floyd allows GBP to co-promote his fights, but he doesn’t need GBP to make a fight with Pacquiao. On the other hand, because of the GBP/TR conflict, we haven’t seen and we’ll never see Pacquiao have the opportunity to face fighters like Collazo, Maidana, Broner, Alexander, Malignaggi, Guerrero, Judah, Khan, Ortiz, Peterson, Thurman, or Soto-Karass. This doesn’t even include top jr. welterweight fighters like Garcia and Matthysse. Tim Bradely is in the same boat as Pacquiao. It’s an especially terrible situation for the fighters themselves because they never get the opportunites to prove themselves against everyone they would like to, or deserve to fight.
Then there’s the competition between media giants ShowTime and HBO–a Show fighter can’t fight on HBO. Another barrier that’s preventing the sport from becoming so much greater than it already is. It’s a sad state of affairs across the board in boxing. And it doesn’t look like there’s any relief any time soon.Posted February 6, 2014 1:38 pm

I have, and continue, to say no way to maidana, khan, and any other prospective opponent labeled a “solid guy” by Mayweather and GBP when Pacquiao is being avoided.
To Mayweather supporters, my opinion isn’t based on hate but love for the sport which is deeper than for any fighter.
A fighter that uses the social media to belittle, malign, and mock his #1 challenger while refusing to face him in the ring has to be the height of disgrace.
Electing a boxer the fighter of the year, when that fighter is more willing to vacate the title rather than meet his challenge is the real mockery.Posted February 6, 2014 12:38 pm
