People are entitled to their opinions about Pac Man and Marquez as it pertains to results but calling ANY of their bouts a CLEAR domination or acting like there is not room for interpretation is pretty biased and narrowminded…. These guys have fought VERY close, so close its unusual to see this over the course of 36 rounds.. Reality is that this score was NEVER settled, I would have been fine with the trilogy ending the way it had but another bouts in the offiing… Believe it or not this is a slice of history in play…

God Save The Queen that sucks. How do you know it expires Oct. 9? Here in the news section they don’t clarify anything, you’re just banned. I’m sick of it because this is censorship. If I’d gone on a rampage cursing everyone out I’d understand but fact is I did nothing but criticize some stories that deserved criticism.

Lasalle-Thats a fact! As for the fight I don’t care what anyone says Marquez at least won 1 of the 3 easy. Pac had a look every time after the fight he was happy it was over. And for the people saying Pac doesn’t whine after a fight don’t remember the 1st Morales fight when he was saying he had blisters on his feet. Marquez by UD or late KO

OK it looks like some numbskull at ESB indeed banned me. I’m in Boston this week and obv have a different IP address. WHY was I banned? I didn’t say any GD thing that breaches the ESB rules.

Arum is a damn LIAR. He’s using one of the oldest tricks in the book trying to increase demand by saying there’s “only a few left” LOL. Now he may sell 6000 more tickets just by saying there’s only 3000 left…..They use the same trick on that channel where they sell things all day. They give a countdown clock and then they have a ticker on the side saying how many has sold and then they start to say there’s only a FEW left! LOL. Damn liars.

Lol! Come on ME! Pacquiao is a helluva fighter, and technically he won all those fights. Let’s see what happens in this 4th fight that really isn’t needed. Manny by KO!

Whenever Pac fights in Vegas, he will always generate the ticket sales. The real test will be the PPV sales and I am confident it will be over i MM, particlarly if the PPV audience will be convinced that Marquez will go all out this presumed last go- around between him and Pac. If I am convinced that he will all out against Pac, I will definitely buy the fight.

Posted October 2, 2012 3:22 pm

How many tickets out of those 13,000 went to real boxing fans? I bet a few thousand were completely unavailable to the general public, being reserved from word go for the Casino regulars and any other guys with connections to Pac, Marquez, Arum or MGM.

Posted October 2, 2012 2:47 pm

rca

This fight is purely about the business side of the sport – have you guys seen the ticket sales? This will be a commercial blockbuster. I am almost tempted to buy it but I saw the three fights already and the results of this fourth fight will be same – Manny wins (maybe a ko this time) and Marquez whines. It will be like watching re-runs of Gunsmoke- you already know the ending.

WTF???

How many times are we going to be forced to see Manny Paquiao beat this Sore losing Mexicans ASS??? He’s lost 3 times to Paquiao, please explain to all of us why he deserves a forth shot at Manny Paquiao???

WHEN MARQUEZ LOST TO PAC, MARQUEZ ALWAYS WHINES BUT WHEN PAC LOST TO BRADLEY, PAC IS RELATIVELY SILENT ABOUT IT.

Posted October 2, 2012 1:11 pm

rca

There is no argument that Marquez is a great fighter but he is the worst whiner there is in boxing or in iany sport. This time he will engage Pac and Pac will ko him and lo and behold – Marquez will whine again !

big head

i wouldn count marquez out this time around last time people was counting him out but he end up surprising people but i do pick manny to win tho i dnt think nobody getting knockout in this fight both fighters can take a good shot and got good recovery but if anybody do get stopped then it marquez but somthing dramatic got to happen in this fight and hope it do

Posted October 2, 2012 12:32 pm

Papo

This may or may not be a good fight; it’ll depend on who has lost it the more. On their last encounter, Marquez show signs of slowing down more than Pac, especially on the last three rounds. He didn’t or couldn’t throw many punches on those rounds, which cost him the decision.

I think this time around Pac may KO Marquez. Sure, Pac is not getting any younger, but I think that at this point he has more left in his tank than does Marquez. Also, I don’t think Marquez has the power to really hurt Pac.

Posted October 2, 2012 12:12 pm

big head

marquez can win cause it do look like manny is slowing down a lil bit but marquez going to have to take it to manny and dnt show him no respect i think manny going to be up for this fight more then the bradley fight but at the end of the day it dnt matter who wins i just hope it a clear winner this time

Fans are very hungry for tough matchups.. When they think both fighters are in tough they’ll step up and buy.. I think that’s what the surge for tickets at these prices is all about.

Once this was common but now its uper rare with 2 top boxers going 4 top fights against ethother, it was a few years back now sence we had a 4 fight dual and that was with Glen Johnson vs. CLinton Woods at Light heavyweight. This is so rare these days but in the early stage of pro boxing it was common with 2 boxers fighting etcother 3,4 and some times even more. I belive I will pick Manny “Pac-Man” Pacquiao as thye winner by a close decision like MD or SD.

These are two of the Greatest fighters in the history of the sport, despite wanting to see Mayweather/Pacquiao badly its natural that people are gonna tune in…. I think those that assume this is going to be another nip and tuck affair presume too much…. We KNOW there is NOT going to be a 5th bout this might end up being the most decisive contest given the stakes…

Ike, Bob The Snake Arum will say any crap just to get this fight some attention. They need leverage for the Mayweather fight. Never believe this old geezer.

I thought the third fight was pretty boring and lacked any memorable highlights. 13,000 tickets sold? There’s a suck born every minute.

All three fights were entertaining.

It would be so typical if Marquez actually won just when Manny finally decided he really wanted Mayweather next, that would just be boxing fans luck.

Who cares! Fighting a 4th time is simply STUPID! Most smart people can pay to see a movie once, maybe twice, but if you see a fight 4 times? 13000 tickets sold? Hmm…Definitely must be all the Mexican and filipino fans paying all that money. The truth is Manny pacquiao has already kicked that whining, crying, booking writing, obsessed Juan Manuel’s ass 3 times. He’s put that cry baby on the canvas so many times I lost count. Even in the last fight, Marquez used that trainer that was busted along with the Olympic Cheater Marion Jones, and he was noticeably way too bulked up. He was off balance so much because his body couldn’t carry all that bulk. JMM is a phony little girl that has said many times that he won all three fights. What a joke that fool is. He doesn’t deserve to be in the same ring with the respectful, honorable, non excuse gentleman that is Manny Pacquiao. Marquez is so obsessed with Manny that he wrote a book with Manny’s name as part of the title. What a joke that guy is. I’m not watching this fight until the following week when it’s free, and I hope none of you are foolish enough to let Arum take your money. Fighting an opponent i4 times is pathetic since their styles are boring as hell because Marquez is a counter puncher and doesn’t have the heart or balls to fight Manny toe to toe. I hope Manny knocks his ass out so we can finally get rid of this baby. He should learn from Manny. Manny always showed respect and never complained or cried or wrote a book about his opponent. Manny is all class, something Marquez will never have.

agreed big head. But thats why these guys are the elite. Marquez clock is ticking and most likely his and Pacs last real tough fight. Marquez wins this and they both are legends

Posted October 2, 2012 12:10 am

big head

marquez just cant lay back and counter punch idk how manny going to win but i do think he will tho like i said this proably the last time they going to fight one another so i expect them to give it they all

Posted October 2, 2012 12:09 am

big head

i mean marquez just cant lay back like he did in the last fight they had he got to be agressive but smart agressive tho what he did the last three fights they had didn work so he got to do somthing different he claim he going to knock manny out this time for him to do that he got to be agressive but easier said then done

Posted October 2, 2012 12:01 am

Eugthehuge

Marquez and Pacquiao have fought so many times without a clear winner they should just get married already.

It will be harrowingly close just like 1, 2, and 3. It’s just rewarding to see TWO GREAT boxers show their brilliance. Too bad, both Marquez and Pacquiao can’t get a championship belt just for the boxing performance they have put on for all of their fights.

Posted October 1, 2012 11:42 pm

1-2

big head- you say for Marquez to win he has to be aggressive and if Marquez is aggressive Manny will win? Heres how it is. Both guys have huge experience and are set in their styles, no change is needed and they wouldnt do it anyways. If Manny connects like in 1 and 2 Marquez gets hurt and see if Manny can finish (which I doubt against Marquez), and Marquez will counter in the middle of Mannys combos and if its an uppercut (which Marquez throws beautiful with both hands) Marquez needs at least a kd to sway the judges. I’m pumped! Marquez UD

Posted October 1, 2012 9:49 pm

big head

i think for marquez to win he got to be aggressive and take it to manny but that can be a chance for manny to land his shots to this the last straw for both fighters i think this going to be the last time they face each other i think manny will win if marquez be agressive i think that going to play in manny hands for him to land his shot left hand more agressive marquez be the more he going to leave himself open

MNboxingFAN – Sean

13,000 is a lot, but when you consider what Hatton just did… without an opponent even named? It’s not AS impressive as it might be otherwise. Oh and Pacquiao loses this fight… or should I say gets robbed. I agree with experts that he’s essentially starting 4 points down due to public outcry of Marquez being robbed last time. Marquez wins, but it’ll be a joke. If Pacquiao wins the controversy continues and Marquez fans continue to say he was robbed… and where is Mayweather?

Posted October 1, 2012 8:15 pm

Trevor

If I was Marquez I would be concerned with who the judges are going to be in this fight because if competent judges who have no history and tainted connections to Arum are not hired then they might as well hire the judges,Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid from the X-Factor talent show on Fox TV because tainted -Arum judges adds up to incompetency, corruptioncontroversy and robbery.

Cartoon

Marquez will ko pacman with an uppercut that manny will run into he will make the count on unsteady legs bit will get stopped against the ropes on a barrage of combinations thrown from marquez referre tony weeks will stop the action and marquez will be the greatest mexican boxer of this era
