I am a social misfit, everyone agrees on that.Posted February 16, 2014 4:52 am
@ Contender 45: Hey, it wasn’t my fault Johnson didn’t/wouldn’t let his hands go, but you were right about this one.Posted February 16, 2014 3:13 am
@ Bluesman: I am gonna say there is the difference between a boxer and a puncher.
You can’t WIN IF you don’t let your hands go. Lucian Bute agrees with ME on that.Posted February 15, 2014 3:57 pm
ali beat 9 hall of famers no one else has that record while glass chin wlad has been knocked out 3 times and has never beat a hallof famer a bumPosted February 15, 2014 2:26 pm
Johnson isn’t the whole package, but neither is Chisora. I think Johnson will out class Chisora, as long as he feels like fighting, that is….Posted February 15, 2014 12:54 pm
Pratt a tat tat
When Johnson finds out how easy it is to tag Chisora, he is gonna whoop Derek’s butt. UD or even a TKO for KingPin. Chisora gets de railed and goes back to the drawing board. Vitali Klitschko had trouble with Johnson, so you think Chisora is going to do better. Chisora got KTFO by a good boxer in David Haye. Johnson wins this one if he shows up to fight with an attitude to win.Posted February 15, 2014 11:56 am
No, Johnson won’t be upsetting anyone because he does not throw punches. In order to be successful in a fight you must throw punches of some sort.Posted February 15, 2014 10:16 am
I don’t care whether Ali was the greatest or not. He was a funny as fvck and often had his tongue firmly in his cheek. Unlike the current crop who have their heads firmly up their @ss.Posted February 15, 2014 8:53 am
as bert sugar once said. its a good job there are no more letters in the alphabet, otherwise we would have more of these big clowns than we already have.Posted February 15, 2014 8:28 am
@ Contender #45: But what are you gonna say if Chisora gets his ass kicked?Posted February 15, 2014 5:16 am
Yet another american bum ready to look for a comfortable place to lay himself down in the ring.Posted February 15, 2014 4:40 am
@ Piechucker: I don’t think that Johnson has a poor skill-set, HOWEVER, I think he usually doesn’t use his skill-set. That being said, he weighed in 240, which is six pounds less than his fight with Devon Vargas. IF Johnson uses his skill set, giving Chisora plenty of side-to-side movement, using his excellent left jab, thus setting up combinations, and is aggressive, I think he’ll give Chisora a boxing lesson. It’ll depend on which Johnson shows up tomorrow night.Posted February 15, 2014 3:29 am
both fighters have poor skillsets. chisoras right hand looks comical when thrown,. chisora will win this fight purely on aggression, which he has in spades. Safteypin as we all know doesn’t like to brawl and is extremely passive. easy money to be made betting on chisora for the KO (though that outcome will likely be the shortest odds)Posted February 15, 2014 3:14 am
You’re the stuff a fool wipes his hinder with elbiPosted February 15, 2014 2:33 am
Nice to see an American writer giving some praise to British boxer, make a refreshing change. Tark stop banging your drum, you’re making a fool of yourselfPosted February 15, 2014 1:19 am
Goosey… I said above and behind the ear… In other words, behind the head… You could say it was a judgement call and not to call it a foul blow if you’re a Brit — I call it a foul. It wasn’t a clearly legal blow like Wilder hit Lyakhovich, which was right above the ear, not behind the ear like Liakhovich partisans were trying to say.
An inch behind the ear is the back of the head. You don’t have to come in from behind and punch somebody exactly in back of the head, like Hatton did to Floyd, when Floyd was outside the ropes. That was deliberate and a point deduction. Chisora’s blow was accidental but it shouldn’t have counted because it was illegal…
But even if it was legal Scott beat the count. He was clearly not counted out. He was up at 9.Posted February 14, 2014 10:00 pm
“In those days, going to the HOF was almost as automatic as turning pro.”
Really? Ali was sick when he lost to Holmes. Ali’s prime was 1960s.Posted February 14, 2014 8:16 pm
Chisora is a plodderPosted February 14, 2014 8:03 pm
TARK.” He got hit above and behind the ear, and not with massive impact.” So what happened to all that “He got hit on the back of the head” crap you have been spouting recently? Did you finaly watch the video?
TARK..”British commentator Barry McGuigan said it wasn’t a clean punch, and I hold the same view.” Barry McGuigan had nothing to do with the commentary of the fight… Scott said “He hit me with a good shot.”Posted February 14, 2014 7:19 pm
Ali beat HOFers like Ancient Archie Moore. Moore was 54 years old and started his professional career at 143 pounds when he was 20. So he fought for 34 years and was damned near on social security when Ali fought him.
Ali lost to HOFer Larry Holmes. Ali lost every round by 67 or more punches. Ali quit in his corner because Holmes was beating his brains in, and Ali never landed a good punch all night.
Ali lost to HOFer Joe Frazier. Frazier had an enlarged heart, blood pressure over 294/160, and was blind in one eye. Frazier entered an athletic competition against other athletes.. Joe came in dead last in swimming, sprinting, hitting, bowling, golfing, bicycling, and rowing. Most of the time Joe was so slow that everyone had picked up all the equipment and went home before Frazier finally crossed the finish line.
Ali fought HOF Ken Norton. Norton got knocked out 5 times—but he beat Ali bad. Norton broke Ali’s jaw and humiliated him.
In those days, going to the HOF was almost as automatic as turning pro. Ingemar Johansson is in the HOF and he won only 1 or 3 title fights. Ingo had to quit Boxing at a young age. He couldn’t box and was getting hit too much.. Wladimir would knock Ingo out with the 1st punch he threw.Posted February 14, 2014 6:49 pm

This pundit says.., “we have all seen Malik Scott getting up before the referee counted to 10, yet in the end it probably wouldn’t have mattered.”
“Probably” is one of those loose and subjective words—especially when you consider Scott was ahead on points and could have gotten up at any time… Scott took a 9 count as a precaution. He got hit above and behind the ear, and not with massive impact. But it was an equilibrium shot, where if you get up too fast your legs might be slightly unsteady … and a house referee won’t give you an honest shot. When he saw it was counted as a knockdown he did the smart thing.
British commentator Barry McGuigan said it wasn’t a clean punch, and I hold the same view.Posted February 14, 2014 1:32 pm

Johnson Talks better than he fights. And he’s not that good a talker.Posted February 14, 2014 12:21 pm
If that pic is Johnson at 240, he couldn’t possibly drop to cruiser and lose 40 pounds. I’ll buy this card. I know its kind of a rip off, but hopefully they’ll show the Hughie fight too.Posted February 14, 2014 11:38 am
I think Kevin should try in drop to cruiserweight cause the heavyweight division ain’t cutting it. Chisora is trash imo in if he loses to Chisora then yea that’s a sign buddyPosted February 14, 2014 11:26 am
Hoping Johnson gets KOd. All the talk he does, he is nothing in the division or in boxing.Posted February 14, 2014 11:18 am

Safety Pin Sucks . Hope Chisora smashes him and sends him packing.Posted February 14, 2014 8:57 am
Yes, but he won’t.Posted February 14, 2014 8:40 am
Let’s hope so; I am fed up with Chisora.Posted February 14, 2014 8:38 am
Chisora needs rounds and at least Johnson will give him that, I don’t think the crowd will be on there edge of their seats for this fight but it’s a good fight for chisora if he dosnt punch himself out of course.Posted February 14, 2014 8:25 am
