“. . . but we know te tumbo’s use of Mulatos is meant as a derogatory term towards Ricans because . . .” El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico used this term in its song “Oye Mi Canto”? because that’s where the lyrics came from sh@t-for-brains. If thats the case everyone in the world is “mixed” because everyone at some point originated from one race (I imagine) and it wasnt black. sorry I had to point that out. because I dont see how a black person would evolve to a lighter skin tone. On the contrary a lighter skin person can get tanned and get darker. “Mulatto” has a derrogative meaning but in Puerto Rico its become acceptable to use to describe “mixed” people because its used like a normal everyday word. HOWEVER, it does not mean its the CORRECT word to use with the rest of the world nor acceptable to use to describe people of mixed cultures or races. So enough with this “mutt or mulatto” its a conjured up word. Like saying “troca” or “wachale” or “coño” and etc…. its there but it doesnt mean that they are correct or acceptable to use.Posted February 18, 2014 12:12 am

Enema’s losing it. going nuts. because there are 11 reigning Mexican champions (not to mention several hot prospects) and not a SINGLE island-born rican left to represent the rivalry (Cotto forfeited). I like this fight, both are big guys with much power neither of them won’t back away from any opponent. This fight has a lot to prove for each fighter as both are coming off a loss. Angulo fought tougher opponents but at age 31 he’s getting up there as a fighter in his prime. Canelo , only 23 is still trying to make a name for himself.. Does wisdom and experience beat age and someone who is hungry to be champ again.. We’ll see. Again I like both fighters but due to his age I’m leaning towards Canelo. I believe that after Mayweather retires, Canelo will rule for many years . Also in the years to come, I see him moving up in weight taking on other champions… he’s gonna be a very wealthy man when his career is all over. Angulo, a great warrior inhimself, is facing a different future as dictated by his age, he doesn’t have many more fights left in him. Floyd has never had to really put it all on the line because he is just that much better than the comp. All this talk of when has he been in a fight of the year type fight, or when has he had to struggle doesn’t mean anything. If he is just that much better then that is what it is. The way he dominates should be recognized, not if he has struggled with anybody. And he did struggle with Castillo in the first fight but yet he rectified that in the 2nd.Posted February 16, 2014 10:56 am

“he is coming off his only but humiliating loss against the great dud Floyd Mayweather Jr.” – Floyd’s a dud? If you’re trying to say the Canelo vs Floyd fight was a big dud you’re right. Lame fight, Canelo never put it all on the line even though his only chance was to bring pressure from the opening round.Posted February 15, 2014 10:01 pm

oh canelo has great fights in his future guranteed. it wont be hard for canelo to build a better resume than floyd either. it looks like a canelo vs lara bout is being built. obviously, thats the fight at 154Posted February 15, 2014 8:08 pm
Bears- I think ur letting ur hatred 4 Floyd blind u a little, ur only seeing what u want 2 c? Surprised u say @ how another judge didn’t see the fight or score it more like cj Ross? Did u feel that way about Ross’s judging in Manny v Bradley 1? I think not. As 4 Alvarez, balls in his court. I personally don’t mind the Alfredo, Canelo should win this and its probs a perfect match up 4 him after Floyd. Guys will b calling Canelo out after it. Could b some great fights.Posted February 15, 2014 7:44 pm
I did watch the fight it was action packed. angulo really brought the dog fight and was successfull in doing so. as i said if angulo would have finished the fight it would have been his win as everyone at ringside said. so talking up lara in that bout i dont know exactly what your talking up.
i havent been able to even finish trout vs lara yet the first part of the fight was so boring and weak. angulo vs lara could not stop watching that onePosted February 15, 2014 7:38 pm
Bears outside of the kds Lara completely dominated Angulo go watch the fight again. And the injury Angulo suffered was from a punch legit tko get em out of here whos next we already know Canelo wants no parts of the undisputed jmw king Lara. Lara forced p4p one of the toughest sobs in the sport to quit dude is the truth.Posted February 15, 2014 6:37 pm
Lol P.E not a chance in hell Lara would embarrass Canelo hed probably be ashamed to ever step in the ring again. And 3G smh I’d prey for Canelo to leave the ring alive. That young man needs to go find himself he wants to be a slick boxer but hes built like a brawler.Posted February 15, 2014 6:32 pm
Bears-u can’t compare fighters careers @the age of 23. Alvarez has fought a few creditable opponents Floyd has fought Many. Have a look at there careers when both are done. Alvarez might get burned out who no’s. Canelo barely made Floyd feel his power at all. I can’t c Alvarez fighting @154 forever. Lara @ 154 Sergio, GGG @160 and many others would give Alvarez a hellish night.Posted February 15, 2014 6:02 pm
BEARS (how bout them apples)
your top fighter lara about lost if not for a subderal hematoma. he laid your boy down not once but twice dropping him multiple times and for the first time in his career and angulo looked slow as hell in the process. all angulo had to do was make it to the final bell and the win was his. do u like apples? how bout them apples? so talking up lara in one sentence and talking down the dude that literally beat lara down makes no sense to me. u flakePosted February 15, 2014 4:57 pm

Seen the Canelo and Floyd full fight, Canelo is trained wrong, he standing straight up.
Bend at the knees boy and train on the heavy bag 4 body target and weave, show where you face could be sometimes but not. All offense fighter who the first better boxer than him run him over.Posted February 15, 2014 3:30 pm
Im just glad we can finally see what Canelo is at jmw. Trout was a good win but we dont really know how Trout would stack up against elite jmws either. Canelo career is finally starting to begin. Tough fight for him but I give him a slight edge against Angulo.Posted February 15, 2014 2:50 pm
A rose-coloured article, but very baseless and empty.Posted February 15, 2014 2:37 pm
The only reason Canelo’s sorry butt is fighting Angulo is because of the beating Angulo took from Lara. He and many other who won’t admit it thinks that Lara took something out of Angulo, and if he did, he can beat Angulo and seem as though he is as good or better than Lara in order to further justify his not needing to fight Lara. Dang duckers make me sick.Posted February 15, 2014 2:33 pm

hold on a second. are u claiming canelo did not hit mayweather with some good shots? particularly a nice right in round 8 even the uk announcers lauded? i love watching different analysts see if thy calm the fight objectively and see accurately what is happening.
also below i see some detracting from canelos comp. he beat champs now? answer that since u always wanna inflate floyds opponents who suck but because they had a trinket u atteibute them value. honestly, objectively, i feel mosely had decent scalp value for 21 or 22 year old canelo. i dont feel u can say mosely had 100% scalp value for floyd and no value for canelo. but obviously trouts awesome scalp value undefeated champ never dropped. i think lopez was who broke ortiz as decent scalp value and i think canelo as senior in high school what he did against 33 year old vet jose miguel cotto was special. he took cottos mustared, weathered it, measured him with his left left like canelo was a klitschko and tee’ed off on him with his right. im definitely a canelo fan. he’s on my fireworks fighters list NO DOUBT ABOUT IT SON!Posted February 15, 2014 2:12 pm
canelo is way too overrated him & bradley are the most boring fighters ever , on their own they cant even draw flies , not interested in either of the two.Posted February 15, 2014 12:35 pm
ray ray- i dont see how u say canelo will never defeat certain fighters. the kid was ripping floyd with combos just did not have the stamina to press consistently and floyd turned it up a little when he sensed the times canelo was taking a breather. it was an anti climatic fight as always with floyd.
canelo is 23. and has had some pretty awesome fights even when he was the age of a senior in high school. when floyd was 23 he was fighting the gregario vargas’s and emanuel gustus’s of the world while canelo fought floyd may jr son. to out things in perspective. plus allthe fuys canelo already beat leading up to floyd while canelo was younger. still think this kid might have a very bright futurePosted February 15, 2014 12:22 pm
No, will Canelo stand the heatPosted February 15, 2014 10:11 am
Hec Dog, agree, Angulo is another punching bag, very similar to Rios, and has taken lots of punishment. No boxer can take such amount of punishment without being affected and that’s the main reason he’s the underdog in this fight. Nevertheless, I as well as many other boxing fans have been critical about Canelo’s choice of opponents in the past before he faced Trout and Floyd. However, this time around, IMO, he and his handlers have chosen the perfect opponent.
Canelo is coming off a lost and though he claims not to be affected by it, it’ll be on the back of his head, especially if he finds himself in a tough match. One lost may not be a big deal, but two loses in a row could be a disaster. Angulo is the perfect opponent at this juncture…a fighter with an established named, who’s not a push-over and has punching power, but can’t box and lacks defense. He has what it takes to KO Canelo, but as Pac did to Rios, Canelo will outbox him all night long.
But he has to be careful because sometimes all it takes is one punch to turn things around. If Angulo can hurt Canelo, it could get tough as Canelo doesn’t have the experience to deal with a puncher, especially one who is his own size. We can only wait and see, but I think it’ll be a decent fight and Canelo will win a decision.Posted February 15, 2014 9:33 am
will canelo”s stamina hold up.Posted February 15, 2014 8:06 am
Relllaaaaxxx… Angulo is a very respectable opponent for a fighter coming off of a loss. It’s a fight with some degree of risk, but ultimately one that is designed for Canelo to win (and if he doesn’t, then his career is in severe jeopardy).
Canelo has gone back-to-back Trout and Mayweather, and lost horribly in his last bout. Give the kid a fight to readjust and get his head back in the right place.
Once he’s dealt with Angulo, then we can all start criticizing him if he avoids Lara and whoever else.

Wow I still find it strange the way some of the so called boxing fans can’t respect what Mayweather’s able to do in the ring. The fact that after all that we’ve learned about the after affect of brutal fights, fan still will want their favorite fighter to go in there and take a beating for their entertainment. Please you fans that make these statements explain to me how you respect the profession of boxing. Or more so how do you respect the practitioners of the game. One more question, have any of you idiots stepped foot in a ring. Your bravest warriors seem to end up the worst off, ask Ali, Robbinson(RIP) McClellan, and Norris. Yeah I called it a game but Boxing is no game its a life and death struggle and some end up in the middle of the struggle. Still alive but not left with much life….for your entertainment. Canelo is a good fighter, but he’s fighting as I have mentioned many times previously, a fighter that offers nothing but a big fighting heart, a tough jaw an nothing else. Canelo supporters and Canelo’s manager and promoter will lead you to believe this is an enormous challenge of epic proportions, but it’s an easy fight against a guy that has no defense, speed, movement, counter punching or reflexes. This is a human punching bag with all due respect. So what if he gave Lara, Kirland and others good fights. That doesn’t mean a thing. Did you notice the physical punishment Angulo received? This will be a duplicate of Holmes vs Cobb years ago or Floyd vs Gatti. Sure Angulo is tough and for that reason alone, he’s going to take a lot of punishment before he’ stopped, trust me. After Canelo wins, the hype will begin once again. Canelo will have trouble with any of the top jr middleweights or middleweights. GBP is going to make money of of Canelo and will continue to do so with these kinds of fights that target the Mexican fans that love their fighters and pay lots of money to see them fight. GBP sees canelo as their cash cow and they will milk him as long as possible. Canelo will destroy Angulo. Just you watch.Posted February 15, 2014 1:23 am
