Floyd, fight Maidana in May and Pac Man in September. Meanwhile, let Beggar Khan prove he’s worthy by facing Porter, Broner and Thurman first. Oh could you imagine what they would do to his fragile face?
Sounds good to me…….Posted February 18, 2014 6:07 pm

so now boxing has come down to twitter. complete joke.Posted February 18, 2014 10:55 am
TARK Yes, you summed it up well. Once Floyd sets up Khan for those straight rights it’s all over. The hooks will be too much for Khan to handle. Folks overlook how much stronger Floyd will be against Khan. I’m not too sure Khan will eventually get the fight. With so much negative feedback I’m sure he & Showtime are doing some second guessing. Besides, the delay in announcing his next opponent does tell us something, whether it’s khan, Maidana or whoever. Now, if Maidana is the choice then Broner will probably have to get a cut if they intend to unify the WBC/WBA titles. Where heading towards March so the announcement will be made soon.Posted February 18, 2014 9:02 am

Khan is trying to cash out and everyone smells his desperation. Maidana or Porter please, Floyd.Posted February 18, 2014 2:36 am
I agree with EZ E… Khan would be an mid-round KO victim by Floyd. The reason is his poor defense. He’s not a stronger defender than Hatton, Ortiz, or Corrales.
Floyd has very crafty lead left hooks and straight rights.. I see Khan showing well offensively for 2 rounds and Floyd starts nailing him hard in the 3rd … The 5th though the 7th Khan starts to flag, and it’s over.Posted February 18, 2014 2:10 am
Word on the street is that secret negotiations with Shawn Porter have been successful. Porter is being announced on Thursday.Posted February 18, 2014 1:20 am
Auzbox-Floyd would not face Khan at Jr MW. The POINT is that Floyd only ventures out of the weight that he CAMPAIGNS at for BIG money Fights. Lara doesn’t qualify unless he drops to 147.Posted February 18, 2014 1:05 am
choosing between rank 10 in WW and rank 4 in JWW?? … nuthin but bare-faced cherrypicking .. what else can it bePosted February 18, 2014 1:02 am

Khan is still begging. Maidana please champ.Posted February 18, 2014 12:55 am
I mean notice how Floyd CAMPAIGNS at WW but WILL go UP to Jr. MW for MUCH money???? Lara has never fought on PPV like Cotto, Canelo, and Oscar DID. SO Floyd is not interested in those types of opponents at Jr MW. Sorry Lara. Go take a HOW to Fight on PPV class.Posted February 18, 2014 12:35 am
who cares? most boxing fans no longer want to buy chicken floyd PPV.Folyd…..BIG TIME COWARDPosted February 18, 2014 12:30 am
“Notice how Floyd is going back down to welterweight while Erislandy Lara is waiting for him at Jr. middleweight.”-Nope. Notice how Floyd only goes UP to Jr MW to take on BIG money Fights?? In FACT 1.5 Mil PPV is the WORST Fight Floyd has taken at the weight. SO tell Lara to become a BETTER than 1.5 Mil PPV Fight and Floyd will go UP to SPANK another Jr. MW for MUCH bank.Posted February 18, 2014 12:28 am
Mayweather will probably be ready to announce his next opponent after the results of Manny vs Bradly’s fight.Posted February 18, 2014 12:09 am
Mansworld get manny off your brain, he has a fight. Khan is ten times worse. Difference is he is a bum that hasn’t dominated any year or any weight class. He looks like the biggest desperate loser boxing has seen. SimplePosted February 18, 2014 12:03 am
That because Rios is a durable opponent. Maybe not an elite boxer but hard as nails to knock out. I dont think anyone has knocked him down.Posted February 17, 2014 11:53 pm
“Chicago Guy – perhaps Floyd should select Bum Bum Rios too for the fans.”
No need. He already selected Guerrero. And did you notice Happyboy–Mayweather didnt beat “The Ghost” any better than Pacquiao beat Bam Bam. And guess what? Guerrero wouldn’t beat Rios either.Posted February 17, 2014 11:30 pm
Yes Kahn is begging but so is Manny they both are desperate losers looking for a big pay day. Guys are lining up to fight Floyd and he is on top of his game. poor HEC DOG Floyd record forever tarnished? You call that BS of a fight Manny had with Rios a good fight? Hell no one even paid to see it on ppvs just like no one will buy the Bradley rematch either. You moron even if he never fights Manny he is already in the boxing hall of fame as one of the greatest fighter ever. Not picking sides but Manny is not even close to being on the same level. Manny last credible win was against Cotto back in 09 while he was dehydrated. Manny has not proven himself to be considered an elite. This is not 09 when he put on a streak on wins its 2014. Manny and Kahn are both desperate You don’t see Maidana begging for a shot or anyone else have some pride and stop acting like a biiootch this is a mansworld pull your skirt down.Posted February 17, 2014 11:24 pm
Mayweather said hes not ready yet to release this big steamy maggot infested pile of bull$h*t on the world!! You all Mayretards need to keep waiting for your meal.Posted February 17, 2014 10:08 pm
Who really cares about Khan or Maidana fighting Floyd. There are other great fights, so people have to stop paying attention to what Floyd Mayweather has to say. He enjoys dragging fans around like a rag doll, and his fans and others keep getting strung along. Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd is the only fight of interest. Boycott Floyd’s fights and pay no attention to him. He’s an ego maniac that has to have control of everything in his life including boxing fans. This is so ridiculous, boxing has fallen apart when we see this guy talking to the media and coming up with a million excuses why he won’t fight another man, and tells everyone he’s only interested in fighting the best and having the most exciting fights yet he still avoids his biggest fight and threat. People need to stop playing into his childish guessing games. A fighter openly avoiding another fighter is shameful in this great sport of boxing. Floyd’s legacy is tarnished by that alone. A fighter not wanting to lose and afraid to take the risk has already lost.

I thought you read my last post.Your knee jerk.reaction is to say that cause I disagree with your typical dose of anti Pac rhetoric. Yeah Floyd is ducking someone who was KOd a fight ago and the person that KOd him in Marquez was toyed with by Floyd. A younger versions of Marquez I might add.
What about floyd’s extra weight in that fight?. Also look what Pacquiao did to Cotto vs what Mayweather did in the Cotto match.Posted February 17, 2014 5:47 pm
I don’t care who wins that fight, but Why would floyd not fight Manny for 100 Million Plus, for the money and to shut everybody up about his being afraid of Pacquiao?.Posted February 17, 2014 5:45 pm
Peej lets not start. Yeh 2-2 but was robbed and got caught wasn’t outclassed, not like khans 2-2 flogged and loss.Posted February 17, 2014 5:38 pm
Nope I have no dislike for Manny. I just get annoyed by Pactoids like you trying to distort the truth. It just makes me come out like a Manny hater but in no way am I. I think he is a great fighter. But facts are facts. Why would Floyd be running from someone who is 2 and 2 in his last 4 fights? Why would he be scared of someone who most people think he would win and be the betting favorite.Posted February 17, 2014 5:19 pm

Why should he fight Lara? And Floyd has already said he is moving back down to 147 because he is not a 154 lb fighter. GGG is at 160. There is no proof he can make 154. He fought higher than 154 in the amateurs and fights at 154 now. When was the last time he has ever come in at 154?Posted February 17, 2014 4:47 pm
Floyd is ducking that little dude from the Philippines. Knows he’d lose..Posted February 17, 2014 4:24 pm
Mayweather is a junior welterweight champion. Why can’t he fight Lara? If he offered Golovkin a fight at 154, it would be hard to imagine him turning it down.Posted February 17, 2014 4:23 pm
He has moved up all the way from 130. Yet you say he has to keep moving up. That is laughable.Posted February 17, 2014 4:18 pm
With Floyd’s speed it will be easy to break that glass jaw. Khan for a payday.Posted February 17, 2014 4:11 pm
Pacquiao, Lara, Golovkin. Those are the only guys who would give Floyd trouble in his weight range. Anyone else he fights will be a disappointment and a mismatch. A truly great fighter would accept the legitimate challenges, not just look for the easy money. Every time he chooses to fight an easier opponent he hurts his legacy.Posted February 17, 2014 4:10 pm
Khan haven’t beat any body close to Matweathers caliber. All this talk about Khan will give Mayweather a problem is just plain talk. Khan will be the easiest payday Floyd makes if he goes for him.Posted February 17, 2014 4:10 pm
love boxingPosted February 17, 2014 3:42 pm
Fighting words I was thinking the something. Khan presents a lot of problems that Mayweather isn’t used to seeing. I thought Zab Judah was gonna box the crap out of Amir but man was I wrong. Speed gives counter punchers trouble cause you can’t time them as well as a Maidana or Canelo. Amir Khan was actually one of my picks to give Mayweather a tough match especially since they have the same power..but honestly I can’t see Mayweather fighting Khan or Pacquaio simply cause he doesn’t want tough matches towards the end of his career. Look for him to fight more slow plodders such as Thurman, Garcia, and Maidana..Posted February 17, 2014 3:31 pm
Thats the problem peej, pac fans hang onto every word that he say i.e I will fight floyd for free. Even stevie wonder can see the BS in that comment. Now we allknow Arum is Pacs boss and dictates to him who he will fight next so unless u hear arum is in talks with goldenboy it will jus be more BS rumours.Posted February 17, 2014 3:26 pm
Real fans will boycott. Still waiting on that one. Floyd is not an easy opponent for Con. Floyd would KO Khan probably inside of 8 rounds. Depending on how much circling Con would do. Floyd is not ducking Pac. Once again if you think this then why did Arum come up with all those excuses. If you acknowledge Floyd making excuses then you need to acknowledge Arum making weak excuses and you should demand to know whyPosted February 17, 2014 2:58 pm

Good day. It is astounding to me personally that this is noteworthy. Astounding that with other prospective bouts and exciting ones at that looming on the horizon and THIS is making the rounds. Truly incredible.Posted February 17, 2014 2:27 pm
COL ahhh… you said “Mayweather is not a big hitter so Khan should be able to absorb his punches for the full twelve rounds.”
hmmm… Actually Mayweather doesn’t have to be a ‘big hitter’ to knock out Khan. Who has Breidis Prescott KO’d in his last dozen fights since stopping Khan besides two very D level fighters?? NOBODY!! And.. Danny Garcia is a good puncher, not a GREAT one, having scored 2 kayos in his last seven fights. One being over old and faded Erik Morales and the other? Yes, over Amir. No, I’m not a Khan hater, I’ve recognized his talent since early in his and I have copies of ALL of his fights, just keeping it real.Posted February 17, 2014 2:06 pm
i don’t think any boxing fan is really interested in mayweather/khan or mayweather/maidana…floyd`s put himself in a corner here..this will be the worst payday he`s had for a longtime now..he ducked pacquiao and that will cost him financially and also in terms of respect from the boxing public..Posted February 17, 2014 2:02 pm
No Amir. The only people who want to see you fight Floyd are you and your team and less than 0.1% of your Twitter fans. That’s right, not even a large percentage of your own fans want to see it. You’re just looking for a retirement pay day and everyone knows it. Maidana please, Floyd.Posted February 17, 2014 1:02 pm

Swedish Boxing Fan
Floyd Mayweather Jr already have gambled his legacy and will be rememberd as “Greedy Boy”. This boxer is boxing history’s biggest prima donna ever and never before there have exsisted one either!.
Floyd Mayweather jr is mabey a gifted skilled boxer who have won many nice fights but they are hardly rememble and fun to watch withc his safe boxing and ego showing. Mayweather Jr have never fought in a warior match at all and his decision to at all cost cherry pick the easiest but most earning fight he can get doesen’t help him either.
Floyd Mayweather Jr is mabey undefeated BUT once again what is that presius “0″ worth on the paper when you avoid the more thretning match picks and talk trash about those fighters.
Does a great champion says things over and over again like “I’m the best”, “He is not worthy of fighting me”, or “His PPV is not as good as mine”, “I will retire, unless there is great money” etc-etc.
Floyd Mayweather Jr is so protected by his father and uncles these days that it is scary and naming yourself Floyd “Money” sure gives you what is the most important thing in life.
Seriusly I’m have it with this clown for a long time now and I’m so tired of his bulls#it acting and hopless money image. He is not a peoples champion and never was and never will be. He will never be spoken about as a great boxer threw history, just a good gifted one, thats it. The day he retires, the better becouse NEVER have there been such a bad taste of a top boxer playing around and embarrasing the sport of boxing like this.
Tallent is not all from a boxer to be great regardless of good fights on the paper, its just a paper in the end but how many will talk about those fights in the long end?
I never hear people talk about any of his fights, just all his clown acts. The only ones I hear is his fight with Oscar De la Hoya or 2nd fight with Jose Luis Castillo, or his fight with Carlos Hernandez, the man who droped Mayweather Jr first time. Why? becouse many people gave the fight to his opponents, thats all.Posted February 17, 2014 11:12 am
I would seriously question some ones boxing knowledge who claims that kahn deserves this fight. Very poor and uneducated writing.Posted February 17, 2014 11:11 am
Thurman (WBC interim champ) like Bradley and Pac ( the leave your promoter is just another excuse) are the best welterweights Floyd will never fight……with good reason. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but until they meet in the ring, everything that is said is speculation and hearsay.Posted February 17, 2014 9:51 am
Ummmm…funny how Khan has a meeting today, Monday, with GoldenboyPosted February 17, 2014 9:40 am
Yeah right. Between Rios and Khan…..Rios brings it, has been in more exciting fights, most of which he’s won but he’s never really been beaten to a pulp….like Khan has….Rios doesn’t have a glass jawe and has never been KO’d….unlike KHAN, so, between Rios and Khan…..Rios as an opponent is far more formidable an opponent than Khan can ever be.Posted February 17, 2014 9:38 am
Fans that don’t like Mayweather actually put him on a higher pedastol than anyone. They think everyone he fights other than a select few have no chance, therefore he’s suppose to be a cherry picker. That means that unless your one of about three fighters in the sport your a bum when mentioned among side with Mayweather.Posted February 17, 2014 8:20 am
Mayweather is not a big hitter so Khan should be able to absorb his punches for the full twelve rounds. He should put up a much better showing than Maidana; lets face it, Maidana is just more of the same kind of opponent Mayweather has faced, at least Khan brings something different. If something fails once, why keep trying the same old thing?Posted February 17, 2014 7:53 am
Khan is begging again. I haven’t seen this much begging since I walked past a homeless shelter. Khan is beyond a joke. Maidana please Floyd. Champs don’t fight beggars. Khan is just trying to cash out.Posted February 17, 2014 7:03 am

Havoc, In boxing it is not about who will bring enough money. It does’ not makes sense because it will favor Floyd not the fans or paying public. It should the opponent for Floyd that can bring a tough fight not a cherry one.Posted February 17, 2014 6:34 am

The Big One
Mayweather is fighting Maidana.
The holdup is that Broner wants specific guarantees and big monies from Golden Boy before he let’s go of his demand to rematch Maidana.
Remember that Broner invoked his rematch clause to fight Maidana only days after their fight and after the loss.
Broner has every legal right to force a rematch with Maidana if, in fact, there was a rematch clause in their fight contract, which I believe there was. Golden Boy CEO promptly set a date for the rematch after Broner expessed his desire to face Maidana again for his next fight.Posted February 17, 2014 1:57 am
easy to break 1 mill if undercard is stacked, hope it is if he fights khanPosted February 17, 2014 1:56 am
Khan or Maidana will not bring enough money! Let see what kind of real top dog really is Floyd fighting one of these two B level fighter. If he break 1 million PPV buys then Floyd really is the KiNg of PPV.Posted February 17, 2014 1:39 am
Maidana would be better of the two he already beat Kahn and Broner. And he is not mexican but he is close enough Floyd is looking for a latin opponent on chico de mayo. Maidana will bring his A game but he is easy to hit. Floyd will beat the hell out of him easy and the same goes for Kahn these idiots think Kahns speed will be a factor but I guarantee you once he starts getting tagged he will be gun shy ask Danny Garcia who KOed him Kahn has a glass jaw and he relies too much on his speed instead of defense and footwork he will get KTFO he simply don’t have the skills, And Manny needs to swallow his pride instead of talking about what he is willing to do to the media, and instead of him waiting on Floyd to call him. He needs to make that call and say hey I will do whatever you want to make the fight happen it still could be big if he impressively gets past Bradley if not his career is over.Posted February 17, 2014 1:38 am

disagree that it would be exciting either way. khan gets sparked early and maidana gets trounced the same as guerrero and canelo in 12. the thing is, even if the little g.aylord does finally take on pac, the fight itself means little now I think as pac is starting to slowdown. 4 years ago, it was a pick em fight, now I’d have money as the massive favourite. can anyone give me a brief rundown on the showtime contract. how many fights is money schedueled to have this year?Posted February 17, 2014 12:57 am
