I wanna say that I will definately tune in for the weigh-in. I will be off that day from work and make it a Cinnabum in my bum type of night. Lotion in one hand and pictured frame of Canelo next to me. Dang, cant wait!

Cheatin Chihuahuas De Messyhoe

—”…..Who has Cinnabum ever fought more dangerous at his weight Class then Lucas Matthysee???….”
Wait I remember he fought Mayweather the best P4P fighter in the WORLD and Danny Garcia fought a one dimensional fighter Lucas now I heard he fighting a taxi driver in his next fight. Go Danny!

Hey how come Fanny Garcia is hiding in puerto rico and avoiding the welter weights?

I hate that Canelo Alvarez . Because my wife and sister and now my young daughter all think he is gorgeous and they claim that he has a big bone on him ,,

Cheatin Chihuahuas De MessyHoe

How come only the Mexican fighter’s seem to make all the top dollars in boxing . Doesn’t any one like the puerto rican fighter’s .. Just because the Mexican fighter’s fight to the death ,and the Puto rican fighter’s quit when they are getting beat up ,which is often . It’s not fair .

Cheatin Chihuahuas De Messyhoe

My hero Danny Garcia is still hiding in Puerco Chico and staying away from the welterweight division. What to do?! and now my other boy Cotto is gonna get murdered Martinez.

For anyone who doesn’t know, the MGM Grand seats about 17,000 people. So while 2,000 empty seats isn’t anything to brag about, it’s not like the place will be half empty on fight night. Of course, there’s still two weeks to go and tickets are still selling. I’m thinking the house will be packed on fight night.

I’m sure he’s facing Lara his next fight!!!!!… But I’m scared Shaeffer and others might try to convince him to do a rematch with Floyd.. SMH

Martin “El Bruchador” Honorio

I think it doesn’t help if you proclaim yourself the next superstar of boxing, which Canelo did. Mexicans like their boxing hero to be humbled and down-to-earth.

Posted February 26, 2014 8:29 am

true fan

I used to be a fan of canelo, after his performance against mayweather,iy looks like he wanted to suck maywheather c….k. Now canelo won’t get a penny from me and I am Mexican

Posted February 26, 2014 4:09 am

Fight Aficionado

I don’t think the alarm bells are ringing. MGM’s sold 12K seats and there’s 2K left with plenty of time to sell out. Many cards don’t sell out but do fine on PPV. Not that this is a PPV worth buying.

Funny thing is at 54 Rolando would give Canelo a boxing lesson.

Posted February 26, 2014 12:14 am

REM

Lol would whoop….

Posted February 25, 2014 11:55 pm

REM

Yet Danny Garcia wouldn’t whoop everyone in that camp from Mexico to Argentina.

Posted February 25, 2014 11:46 pm

PE ..who did Cotto beat to become elite??? Sorry but he is no better Juan ma or Rosado they never won the big fights….

Posted February 25, 2014 11:45 pm

Oxnard Cali , Garcia boxing gym which is only 10000 sq feet has more champions than the whole island of Puerto Rico…bhahahhahahahaha

Posted February 25, 2014 11:43 pm

REM

Such a small island yet so many great champions. P4p #1 in the world bar none.

Nalgas de Putorico

Hey Pubic Enema Cotto gonna get killed by Martinez.

Posted February 25, 2014 10:46 pm

Yo MOMMA

I heard Danny Garcia will be fighting in a backyard at Puerco Chico for $2 per seat. Better hurry before a hurricane goes by and wipes out Puerco Chico out of the map for good.

Bearcat

To Public Enema .i know that Puerto Ricans don’t work much ,,so you and about 25 other welfare Puerto Ricans should get together and pitch in and buy the PPV to this great fight .

Posted February 25, 2014 9:53 pm

Bearcat

Let’s see how many ticket’s Danny Garcia ( whose suppose to be Puto Rican ) will sell against Herrera . even though the tickets are selling in Puerto Rico for only $ 2,,$4,,with the highest at $8 dollars at ring side . Promoter’s know that people don’t work there so they keep the tickets cheap .

Posted February 25, 2014 9:48 pm

Chili Grande

If 2 thousand tickets are left unsold , that’s still not bad at all ,i believe the MGM Grand can hold 16,800 people .so that makes it to 14,800 tickets sold ,,that’s not bad at all . how many fights now a days attract over 14,000 people .

Posted February 25, 2014 9:41 pm

Bearcat

To Public Enema .. Oh don’t be so bitter because two Mexican fighter’s are going to make a ton of money .Your chicken sh-t fighter Cotto had a chance at some real money but was to scare like all the other pathetic Puerto Ricans to fight a Mexican fighter ,,so just sit back and watch two real warriors go at it .

Posted February 25, 2014 9:32 pm

Dino

No disrespect, this fight won’t sell all the tickets. Canelo is only Great to Mexicans.

Posted February 25, 2014 9:26 pm

The thing with Lara is hes fought every and I mean every top jmw out there. He simply has the best resume at jmw people can debate whos the best jmw but theres no debating who fought the best class of jmw. When you dont have the luxury of selecting styles to make you look good and have to fight all comers thats what you look like. Thats real boxing folks and Lara is the real deal.

Posted February 25, 2014 8:41 pm

REM

Man what a statement I can understand the ppv #s being low but its certainly a good fight to attend.

Posted February 25, 2014 8:29 pm

Chili Grande

I really don’t think Canelo Alvarez is afraid of Lara ..by seeing the fight between Lara vs Angulo ,it looks like Lara can be hurt ,and Canelo can punch pretty good . i believe the Canelo team choose Angulo because more Mexicans will buy the PPV fight . Lara is not to well known .

Posted February 25, 2014 8:27 pm

The Facts !

I don’t really find what is all the talk about Erislandy Lara ,,sure he is a good boxer ,as mostly all Cuban fighter’s are ,but he was almost stopped by Angulo in their fight . I saw the fight again and believe El Perro Angulo would have stop him if Angulo’s eye wouldn’t have been damage . Also Lara didn’t look so good against Molina .

Posted February 25, 2014 8:20 pm

BG Boxing

It will be a “sell out” because about 35% of the tickets are going out as comps.

Posted February 25, 2014 8:00 pm

Hidalg0

“The Canelo vs. Angulo fight will likely sellout by March 8th, but if this was really a fight that boxing fans wanted to see, it would have sold out a lot sooner than that you would think.”

A sellout is a sellout whether it happens now or later. Don’t count your chickens before they hatch.

Just do what they did with the Broner/Maidana fight… It was supposed to be on PPV, but then they pulled it and put it on regular SHOWTIME… Now that was a brilliant move. More people saw the upset of the year than they would’ve if it was on PPV.

Canelo said he is the future of boxing!!!! I said you can’t be the future if you loss to the present! Floyd beat you now and no way you can be the future!

Posted February 25, 2014 7:13 pm

kato3388

As barn burner as I think this fight will be, THIS IS NOT A PPV FIGHT.

When Golden Boy started his promotional company, he touted that he and his company would be different. They want to put on fights the fans want to see. He wants to look out for his fighters. He wants to change the sport. He wants to bring boxing back to the forefront….

So far, he has put on decent shows, compared to others… but forcing this as a PPV. Bad move, this isn’t one I will be purchasing.

Aint no one got time for this mess! This fight should be on ESPN Friday Night Fights.

TARK

Your drawing power goes down if you stand around for 12 rounds waiting to pick up your 12 million dollar check. But if he were fighting Lara I think a lot of fans would watch.

On the strength of how Lara handled Trout. Like he was a baby.

PPV what a ripp off.

Posted February 25, 2014 6:16 pm

I thought this was a bad idea from the jump. Mayweather made Canelo look really bad in his last fight, then you put him in with Angulo? It would have been ok for a boxing after dark show but PPV? You have to be kidding.

Canelo vs Angulo? Never

Man that is a lot of tickets for this fight. Wonder how the PPV will do. Still not PPV worthy in my eyes but I am still gonna watch
