you wont find any racists in britain because its full of illegal imigrants.Posted February 27, 2014 4:31 pm
I thought you took the fight to the champ to be honest PJ, particularly when you’re on the road and in the champs backyard.Posted February 27, 2014 4:26 pm
Could of swore Dirrell clearly beat Froch when they fought.Posted February 27, 2014 4:24 pm
TARK crawls out of his hole to spout more anti-British fighter bile and garbage. Crawl back little man, keep your stench away from the rest of us.
Yep, I agree. TARK is another American racist. This place is crawling with them. Tark is one of the worst.Posted February 27, 2014 4:09 pm
has crawford had one of those strict american drug tests.Posted February 27, 2014 4:03 pm
when it comes to bent judges and ped cheats the yanks are in first place by a mile.Posted February 27, 2014 1:31 pm
“The judges won’t have anything in mind but trying to make Burns the winner. This is the UK we’re talking about.
Since when are bought and paid for judges worried about sigma and charges of favoritism??? About the only way Crawford wins is if he wins 10 clear rounds or stops Burns.”
Yeah like there’s never been corrupt judges and terrible hometown decisions in the USA. America is the worst country in the world for that, they have a long history of cheating fighters from outside the USA.
The worst one I remember in recent times was Richard Abril totally dominating Brandon Rios and losing! Typical of TARK to hide behind his computer and mouth off the gutless coward.Posted February 27, 2014 8:43 am
I’ve only seen clips of Crawford in the build-up to this fight so it’s hard for me to get a real sense of the challenge he poses to Burns. However, I’m confident that Burns will pose significant challenges to Crawford or any LW. I know that Ricky hasn’t performed well in his last couple of outings but at his best (and people think he’ll need it!) he is no slouch and has all the intangibles to make life very difficult for an inexperienced challenger fighting away from home. Crawford may start well but these fights are 12 rounds long and we’ve seen Burns out-last guys before who have had the better of him early. I don’t know if this will be a Calzaghe/Lacy situation or a Jones/Curry situation but if Crawford is as good as some say then it should be a hell of a night cos the Scottish fans will be roaring Burns on big time!!Posted February 27, 2014 7:56 am
@TARK – The UK does NOT have a history of corrupt judging anything like on the level of the USA, Germany or Italy. Burns lost his last fight sure, but that type of clear robbery is very rare in the UK. Look at Bradley Vs Pacqiao, Cloud Vs Campillo, Holyfield Vs Lewis I, Leonard-Hearns II, Peterson-Khan among MANY others..ie, look closer to home!Posted February 27, 2014 12:54 am
The Great Cornholio
Burns will land a jab and then it will be Burns TKO 1 Crawford
This pundit says.., “WBO appointed judges for Saturday’s defence against Crawford will have this in mind and are likely to score many of the potentially close rounds to the American in order to prevent any further stigma.”
The judges won’t have anything in mind but trying to make Burns the winner. This is the UK we’re talking about.

Buns of steel I like that one .Posted February 26, 2014 9:49 pm
You are so wrong it’s laughable.
Crawford will take Burns apart. It won’t be close, Crawford will win in style by TKO.Posted February 26, 2014 9:12 pm
Think Crawford is slightly overrated to be honest and fighting a handful of tomato cans in a few 10 rounders hardly tells us anything.
Glasgow is a long way from home.
Looking forward to this fight.Posted February 26, 2014 8:52 pm
KOrnerman if anyone is clueless you, Crawford will win easily, he’s far better than Burns.Posted February 26, 2014 6:10 pm
Oh this’ll be good when Rickster shuts all of you up and pounds Crawford, Cmone son shut the lot of clueless idiots right up.Posted February 26, 2014 5:38 pm
Crawford hasn’t beaten Garcia, nobody has.Posted February 26, 2014 5:33 pm
Burns isn’t even the best lightweight in the UK.Posted February 26, 2014 5:33 pm
Burns is done. Crawford is very good and has a bright future.
I agree. I don’t think Burns wants to fight anymore.Posted February 26, 2014 5:04 pm

cant wait to see how good the latest hype job yank is.Posted February 26, 2014 3:59 pm
Crawford by the 8th round at the latest, but don’t be surprised if this fight is over much sooner. Burns will be totally outclassed.Posted February 26, 2014 3:51 pm
Burns is a super nice bloke and a decent fighter who’s “good” in every department. He’s a hard night for anyone. C’mon Ricky!Posted February 26, 2014 3:43 pm
Some may not know Crawford has a win over
Danny Garcia.Posted February 26, 2014 2:12 pm
Joe Calzaghe, Lennox Lewis, Ricky Hatton are fighters on a world stage. Ricky Burns, Gavin Reese, And Junior Witter are fighers on a British stage. When they enter the world stage, they fall off the stage. That is gonna happen to Burns who from what i hear had to rob poor Beltran to get a decision. Crawford is a no nonsense not to exciting athletically gifted fighter. He should handle this one with ease.Posted February 26, 2014 2:05 pm
Looking forward to this fight. I like Crawford and think he will come away with a decision. From what I have seen of Burns he won’t be stopped.Posted February 26, 2014 2:04 pm
Benedict the Benificent
My friends, Richard ‘Ricky’ Burns is a man made in Scotland from girders, like Irn Bru. Made of steel, Man Of Steel. A dazzling virtuoso of a boxer, Ricky is alnost like a young Superman as he dances, ducks, weaves and moves away from his opponents punches effortlessly. A modern-day Benny Lynch almost, Ricky is a blazing, shining young star of the fight game, a man with his name in lights, an all-action fighter with a jab like a piston, with the dextrous footwork of a ballet dancer, a Scottish ‘Black Swan’ if you like, with stamina to burn, a whirlwind of fury inside the four ropes and the heart of a lion. Ricky is a polished punishing pugilist, a tremendous terror of the ring, a fighting folk hero and as a fan, I believe, of that fine and famous old Scottish football club, Celtic FC, soon to win their 47th domestic top tier League Championship, he represents the old working class ethos of loyalty and integrity while coming from a humble beginning to boy made good. My friends, Ricky Burns is a World Champion of the highest regard and calibre and young Mr Crawford is in for a rude awakening if he thinks he will take Ricky’s title easily. Will Crawford turn out to be another Howard Davis or Adrien Broner, or will he be the new lightweight sensation?!? Will he be humbled by Ricky in the same manner that Broner was by Marcos Maidana? We shall see…Posted February 26, 2014 1:58 pm
