Pascal whip Kovalev… lol. Keep dreamin’ B Red! That’s just plain ridiculous, man.

“A rematch with Carl Froch? Maybe”

Not a chance. First, Froch walks around at about 172, and has never entertained the idea of moving up to 175. Secondly, he only wants big fights: Pascal is not a big fight.

“but Carl is now busy preparing for his mega rematch with George Groves and after he loses to George (yea I just don’t see Carl escaping again from that one) there won’t be a lot to gain in that one except for pride.”

Put your money where you mouth is then: the bookies are making Froch the favourite, and I think they’re right to do so.

Of course, if or when Froch wins you won’t come here back writing about how Froch is a better than you thought and foght a great fight. You will just denigrate Groves. Plus, since you’re not letting on who you are (M ichael C ollins?), you’re staking nothing on your overconfident prediction.

“We can compare Pascal to Cleverly as both are good fighters but that are just outclass right now at light middleweight and both always had issues making weight for their fights.”

Yes, they sure would have trouble making the weight at “light middleweight” (?!?!).

If Pascal wants to be the man at Light HW, he must fight Kovalev and Stevenson. Unfortunately for him, there’s just no way around it.

whaaaaaaaa

Froch will hammer Groves in the rematch

Agree Groves will get smacked by Froch….

The writer has it backwards. It’s Groves who won’t escape this time. Froch was caught off-guard in the first round. He began coming on later in the fight and if you doubt that, look at Groves’ face! This time Groves will get stopped earlier.

Pascal should fight Cloud. He is still around somewhere.

Jonn E. JaGozza, Bute was obv gun-shy from the beatdown Froch gave him. When a stylish boxer like him won’t let his hands go there’s no other explanation. He’ll probably never be the same.

Also, I look forward for this world light heavyweight title unification fight (IBF/WBA/IBA) with Bernard Hopkins vs. Beibut Shumenov. This fight will be one of the best to look forward for and I will cheer for the old champion bernard Hopkins. Just awsome if he could pull another upset off.

Beibut Shumenov (14-1-0 KO’s 9) is the WBA/IBA world light heavyweight champion and have defended his title 5 times sence he won the belt in 2010 from Gabriel Campillo.
He is 19 years younger then Bernard Hopkins and is natuarly a bigger man, BUT Bernard Hopkins (54-6-2-2 NC KO’s 32) with 64 PRO fights is the man with the longest ring expearence there is, being regular proffesional fighter sence 1990 and still going strong as a fighter.

Hopkins counter skills and defence master skills and good reach advantage will prove very usefull against the younger and aggreesivier fighter Shumenov and if Hopkins still can turn back the clockl just one more time to pull this off, the word can just be AMAZING.

Bernard hopkins is a rarly gifted boxer and I thud no man ever in my life could be a recognised proffesional world champion in boxing at age 49 and be comeptive but Hopkins have so many times proven as a underdog to come out on top of the game.

I will wish Bernard Hopkins a great year in boxing and that he can pull this off once again.

Well, the former WBC/Lineal world light heavyweight champion Jean Pascal haves lots of fight opptions as he is a good name in boxing having fought Bernard Hopkins twice, Chad Dawson, Carl Froch, Lucian Bute, Adrian Diaconu twice and etc so pascal could make a great fight set up and a world title fight as well if he decides.

Pascal is the WBC Nr.1# mandatory challanger to world champion Adonis Stevenson so he should fight him and not jepardise his title position as Tyson Fury did and fell down from his ranks.
Pascal is also world ranked 3# by WBO and 10# by IBF and Fightnews holds Jean Pascal as the 4th best Light heayweight fighter in the world now in there rank.

Other good fights possible for Jean Pascal to make would be challanging Sergey Kovalev for his WBO world title belt or fighting former world light heavyweight champions Tavoris “Thunder” Cloud or Zsolt Erdei or Nathan Cleverly to keep himself up against top opponents and retain his ranks as Pascal must not let time go to long with-out a good fight on the record.

Many great opptions for Jean Pascal so just to pick!

I was ringside at this fight in Montreal and the only thing I can say is, Lucien Bute looked foolish, tight, slow, plundering and above everything
else, SCARED !! He looked so bad that he made Pascal look good no, I mean GREAT.. Pascal looked powerful, very powerful and had speed hitting Bute to a 2-1 ratio. Every time Bute threw a punch, Pascal came back with at least 2 of his own. It was sad and pathetic to watch… Pascal should continue fighting and take on Froch … that would be an all out war !! Bute, on the other hand, should try something else, He seems like a great guy, the Canadian fans love this guy but the night I saw him fight , he was way over his head. It was very hard from his performance that night, to believe he was once a champion…. A sad statement to make …. PEACE… Theboxingdictionary.com… “The Language of the Ring “

What’s next is probably an easy win and payday. What should be next is Kovalev or Stevenson but he won’t do that. Or if Froch wins maybe they can do a rematch at 175. A lot of people forget what a good fight Froch vs Pascal was.

What about froch again.

Maybe rematch Dawson.

Not Kovalev or Stevenson. He couldn’t even beat Hopkins.
