“….tumbo – Danny Garcia is set and his fight, like all of his fights will be awesome no need to hype them up on these Boards….”

I heard no one even cares for Garcia in Puto Rico. No hype you say? yea I guess he may have to consider the hypetrain cause he can’t even sell out a High school gym in Puto Rico. How many tickets have they sold? Like 500?

“Lara will dominate Smith, possibly TKO him. There is no comparison between the two fighters.” – Hildago I agree Lara will dominate Smith. Won’t KO him though because Smith would go into a protective shell early. That’s why it’s a horrible fight. Lara’s actually entertaining when matched up right but it’s gotta be an opponent who represents danger. Smith is as dangerous as a toothless zombie.

when is the punk ggg going to answer the call of lara he wants to continue to fight bums

“..when is that punk ggg going to fight lara , lara has called the cheery picker out..” GGG is not the only cherry picker Lara called out. Lil floyd in on that list too. Nobody is looking forward to fighting the Cuban even the “best boxer in the world”.

Again, this is a pretty explosive fight.. but not PPV. I am sure there is a large hispanic (Mexican) population that will be purchasing it… but I won’t be. Just like Broner vs Maidana was initially scheduled for PPV, then they changed their minds, this fights falls in the same category.

“Angulo will get slaughtered”

Don’t bet on it.

Messyhoe is so obsessed with the Mexican ring-warriors running the fight-game, that he hasn’t even submitted a single post in the Garcia v. Herrera and Ponce v. JuanMono message board. he should at least ante-up for a couple of tix for this fight-card. i read there having trouble selling the American Garcia to a Rican fight-crowd . . . or what’s left of it . . . (lol).

TO Cheaten Chichuahuas Messyhoe .. you laugh at the fact that some one said that Angulo has debilitating power . If Angulo doesn’t have much power like you think , then ” Lara ” sure in the heck has a weak jaw ,because he was put down twice in the fight and hurt badly in the second knock down . Gabriel Rosado must have a weak chin also, he was stopped in the 2 nd round by Angulo .

Alvarez by KO in a possible Foreman-Lyle-like slugfest!

They are both coming off losses. Makes a lot of sense if your Canelo and supposed to be an Elite or A level fighter. Angulo wants to prove he belongs too.

old guy

dangerous and maybe stupid fight for Canelo to take. A loss ruins his career momentum, a win would be over someone who was previously crushed. Whos idea was this?

Where is Trout now, he kind of disappeared from the fight scene ? but anyhow, I like Canelo but in Angulo he has a real tough fight on his hands . in my opinion, even if Canelo loses, he ‘ll gain a lot of experience and growth and as I’ve said before many times, Canelo is young, very young and he has a lot to learn but he grows in both knowledge and experience in each fight and HE WILL RULE, when Mayweather retires. Angulo, the old warrior, afraid of no one, gave Lara a GREAT fight, I was pulling for him to win that one ,but due to his age ( 31 ) he’s not young and is on the downside of his career .. . If he was in his 20’s now, he’d rule for a long time… PEACE… Theboxing dictioanry.com… ” The Language of the Ring “

i like lara alot but the fight with el perro should have conitued.if it had who knows, el perro had momenum.

PEEJ

I agree Lara vs Smuth would have zero action. Though Lara took it to Trout so who knows maybe he would do that with Smith. I’m really not big on Lara though

Varnish- I also noticed Angulo’s eye. I hope it’s true that he just had a scratched Cornea and the eye holds up, but that swelling looked like a lot more than the “scratch” they’re selling. The guy looks motivated and he has proven that he can put pressure non-stop for 12 rounds, which Canelo has never dealt with. If Kermit Cintron could outbox Angulo, Canelo can certainly do that and more, but if Canelo runs out of gas, he’s not going to get a breather like he did with Trout, he’s going to get run over.

WHAT!?!

I’m leaning to Angulo for a KO win. I was very disappointed with the timid performance put on by Canelo against Lil Floyd. Angulo will be rough and ready for an upset here.

the truth is canelo really is a good fighter, how great remains to be seen.Im sure will soon find out

I also agree that Angulo can KO Canelo. It will be called an upset but we’ll all know it isn’t.

Can believe this is PPV. It will be the first one I’ve skipped in a long time. Just not interesting.

Canelo and Broner have one thing in common. They are two hype jobs that a year ago were considered boxing future. Today, they are both a lost away from becoming two of the worst hype jobs in boxing. LOL…PPV NOT!!! Canelo is about to get KO.

Posted March 3, 2014 7:15 pm

Phantom

It wouldn’t surprise me if Angulo beat Canelo by early highlight KO. Canelo is the very definition of a hype job. Had he been even a fraction as good as advertised Mayweather would never have even entertained the notion of fighting him. He’s never beaten anyone that was truly world class who wasn’t completely shot or that was undersized and fighting outside their natural division.

Don’t nobody tell me he deserved the decision against Austin Trout either. Ain’t nobody got time for that. Only a blind retard wouldn’t have cottoned on to that being a fix from the very start.

To be fair to Canelo it’s hard to read too much into his performance against Mayweather given how drained he’d been by having to get down to the catch-weight. It obviously took an awful lot out of him so I guess you’d have to give him his just due for even being able to make it to the final bell in that weakened state.

Angulo’s eye looks damaged on the Showtime 24/7 thing. He also cries frequently on camera. Touching scenes w his daughter, but you wonder what the context is. Does not auger well for El Perro, whom I like.

Not happy with that PEEJ. Smith vs Lara would be horrible. In fact any fight with Smith should be permabanned from all TVs. Lara’s style needs a willing B side otherwise he tends to sleepwalk to UD wins. Smith’s whole career has been a sleepwalk.

I think Ishe Smith and Lara are in negotiations

Posted March 3, 2014 6:51 pm

I think it’s a pickem fight. Wouldn’t be shocked if Angulo one by KO. He can’t win a decision. Great card. Main even is just not PPV worthy for a main event. Still gonna watch cause it still gonna be a good scrap

Posted March 3, 2014 6:50 pm

Boxtradamus

Canelo will be KO’ed in shocking upset, upset to the rest of you but not to the greatest fight prophet EVER born. Carrot top goes down, EASY EASY work for Alfredo.

Posted March 3, 2014 6:36 pm

Kid Hammer

Expect Canelo to work that eye of Angulo if he can .

That may be a big factor in this fight,

Posted March 3, 2014 6:27 pm

The KO Prophet

I see a Mayorga DLH comeback performance here with a bit less speed for each fighter.

Alvarez short shots should reach Angulos and that should be difference

To Hecdog ..like if we didn’t know already that it is not PPV worthy ..just watch the fight will you .

Who is Lara fighting next? I’m not aware of any announcement. Canelo should be fighting him since he beat Angulo, but of course will duck Lara.
