Happyboy: Floyd is the most boring fighter in history of the boxing world. Top Rank fired Mayweather because he just plain boring! Floyd May succeed now but He is a reject to Top Rank.

Top Skank/ HBO are a bunch of crooks first they rob Marquez to create the 4th fight then rob Pac to create the rematch, boxing fan ends up paying for 4 fights instead of two. The 4th fight confirmed what we knew from the 3rd just like the rematch will confirm what we knew from the first fught with Bradley.

Posted March 5, 2014 6:44 am

Happyboy

No matter what happens, bottomline is Rob Arum ” gonna make a lot of money of this rematch”

Bradley is a very good fighter! The only undefeated who beat Manny. He beat Raslan and Juan M. This dude is amazing! I’m pretty sure they will break 1 million PPV buys!!!!!! It will be an awesome fight!!!!!!!!!

Posted March 5, 2014 12:04 am

Havoc

It will do 10 million views in the Philippines!!!!!! And will do 200k PPV from Filipinos around the world! All of those 200k PPV buys, 1 PPV buy or household host atleast 10 people, black, white, Latinos all are welcome with lots of foods and booze! So I would assume at least 20 millions people will tune in in this fight!

Posted March 4, 2014 11:56 pm

Poor pacturds

This fight wont do anywhere near 1 million ppvs…

How come Pacquiao pulled out of the March 2010 fight, but it’s Floyd who is called a “ducker” by Pactards?

@Hecdog JMM has whipped Manny’s punkass 4 times! What more do you want from him? LOL

Juan Manuel “Ped” Man Marquez is the biggest whining, cry baby in boxing. He first came out with his childish games telling the whole world that he had settled his fights with Manny Pacquiao, and as he cowardly put it, “I like this feeling” and that he would NEVER fight Manny Pacquiao again. He said the same thing over and over as he paraded his transformed body from the Hulk to that of an elderly 80 year old man. And this was only 2 days after the fight. Ped man then fought Bradley and got his rear end kicked almost dropped in the final round. After the loss, the crybaby started with his unsportsman like whining telling everyone once again that he had been robbed 6 times in Las Vegas. What a joke of a man. He then has the audacity to demand a rematch of retire for good? This man was losing it. Something wasn’t quite getting through this man’s brain. He lost, had no leverage power whatsoever and was putting demands out there, which no one paid any attention to. Ped Man was in desperation. He was old news. In the Bradley fight, he was no longer the HULK loaded with muscles hmm…I wonder why? Where was the mention of Angel Hereida? The testing must have been very strict. Anyways, Marquez the poor sport that was granted 4 fights by Manny Pacquiao ran away like a coward from ever having to give Manny one fight. Yes, one fight that Manny deserved since he basically made Marquez because he was a nobody before the Manny Pacquiao fights. Manny made him rich. Marquez could never do any PPV fights because he could never draw flies. Manny Pacquiao made him, and to have Marquez act like a scared coward and not give Manny a fight was inexcusable. Now the tables are turned. Marquez the cry baby coward says he’s excited for a 5th fight? Wrong! Manny should tell Marquez to go fight Provodnikov, and only, yes and only if he beats him, then Manny will give him a rematch. Manny Pacquiao as always has been a true gentlemen inside and outside the ring. He never once complained or disrespected Marquez. I do hope Marquez comes crawling to the table begging for a fight with Manny after Manny destroys Bradley. In the end, cowards, cheaters and poor sports always get what they deserve. All Manny has to do is bring in VADA testing and every other strict testing to the contract. He needs to have Angel Hereida watched 24 hr around the clock as well as Marquez. Manny Pacquiao is the only true, honest, sincere, admirable, honorable man in boxing. He is the model to follow. Trust me, Manny destroys Ped Man Marquez if and when they ever fight. Mayweather and Marquez have one thing in common. Both fear Manny Pacquiao.

And one judge didn’t score right in there first fight. PAC won that one

Posted March 4, 2014 6:25 pm

Problem here is that Marquez should of won the 3rd fight but was jobbed by the judges. He clearly won that fight. The judges made a horrible make up call in the Bradley fight.

I think Pac can beat JMM in the rematch which may happen next according to sources if Pac beats Bradley which I think he will.

The truth is always somewhere around the other BS. Pacquiao was robbed against Bradley, and was caught against Marquez. That’s it. It doesn’t mean he’s diminished. What I can’t understand, is trhat Marquez looked like the HULK against Pacquiao and looked weak and slow against Bradley. I am not accusing Marquez of any kind of PED use, but I wonder what happened.
Posted March 4, 2014 1:41 pm

yeah, I thought Pac won too. He was caught good against JMM but I thought Pac was winning that fight close and had JMM in serious trouble. But JMM is such a pro he set Pac up for the big right when Pac got overzealous.

I thought the KO may have hurt his career but I thought he did Great against Rios. His confidence was there, his speed was there, his agility, he just really looked good.

Actually, it’s been accredited to Floyd for coming up with the idea for HBO.

It’s really not that big of a deal. It’s nothing ground breaking in sports and floyd watches enough sports to have that “ah-ha” moment and say how about I do that too. But Floyd did come up with the idea and present it to HBO who thought they would give it a try with him first.

Don’t think he ever got the IBF title. His first fight with Marquez was a draw. So he didn’t win that. But I am stating that he hasn’t won 8 titles in 8 different divisions like Hecdog stated.

IBF featherweight

WBC lightweight
WBO welterweight
WBC light middleweight

Tiny Timothy Bradley, aka Headbutt Holyfield Jr., is in the same class as Paulie Malignaggi. Excellent boxing skills but no power. If Paulie had some power, Broner’s confidence wouldn’t have been so high, and woul’ve kept Broner on the outside… Same as Tim.

Manny needs to put the pressure on Tim and fight for 3 minutes of every round. Quit taking breaks in between rounds and quit being so nice in the ring.

Posted March 4, 2014 1:06 pm

PEEJ

Just to be clear, Pac is really not an 8 division champ unless you count the lesser titles as real titles. He won the international title a few times. That is not actually a real title. Unless I am looking at it wrong. But per boxrec most of his titles where international titles. Those are not the real titles. Those are like interim titles.

Hecdog, there is no amount of boosting that you can do that will change the reality of Manny Pacquiao as a fighter today. He will have to beat Bradley convincingly in order to regain the image of the champion he once was. I believe he will be hard-pressed to do that in his second fight with Timothy.

Posted March 4, 2014 9:20 am

Hidalg0

Correction: “but out of the three fighters, look WHO has performed the best and had the most success over the last three years. The name on the bottom of that list is Manny Pacquiao.”

Posted March 4, 2014 9:18 am

Hidalg0

Bradley got a win by the hair of his teeth over Marquez, and those were mighty thin hairs. Juan has improved his performances against Manny with every fight but Manny has not shown the same improvements in his game against Marquez. Unless Pacquiao has something special down deep that he can rely on in their second fight, or unless Timothy has a bad night at work, Bradley will likely pull out another win.

I know no one wants to read or hear this, but out of the three fighters, look has had performed the best and had the most success over the last three years. The name on the bottom of that list is Manny Pacquiao.

It will be a great fight.

The iconic legend that is Manny “Pac Man” Pacquiao will be returning to the boxing ring in again another highly anticipated fight on April 12, 1014. The world has this fight marked on the calendar. This is a man that started his boxing career as a fly weight in 1995 and has climbed three divisions as a squirrel climbs a tree effortlessly and with precision. I constantly am amazed at what Emmanuel “Manny” Dapidran Pacquiao has accomplished in a life that started out with hopelessness all while selling donuts and bread on the streets to make enough money for him and his family to eat. His father left while Manny was small only to come back years later for a few hours and eat his pet dog. A third world country is nothing like life in the United States. There is poverty, sickness and desperation. A life that takes more than it gives. Manny Pacquiao is a role model and example for those that see no hope in their lives. Put yourself in his situation and imagine what it would be like to live on the street, fighting against older, stronger, hungry men in back alley brawls to earn two dollars or less. Fast forward to today and see what Manny Pacquiao has attained since his horrific and painful childhood. Fighter of The Decade, 8 division World Boxing Championships, Mega Star of the Boxing Ring, The Silver Screen and Platinum Music hit Songs, Cover of TIME Magazine, Model, Cover Of GQ Magazine, Congressman, 2008 Flag barer for 2008 Olympic Games in Beijiing, helper of the poor and a Man Of God that wears his faith on his sleeves. A boxer that carries himself with humility, respect and sportsmanship in a sport that is full of greedy dishonest people. Manny’s endorsement opportunities are endless. All of this from a young child that made his first punching bag out of cardboard and stuffed clothes. On April 12, Manny will have his chance to set the record straight and seek his own personal redemption. We all know about the robbery decision given to Timothy Bradley in their first fight. This was an atrocity in the sports world. This was a true injustice to the millions of fans that saw a different fight. Rumor had it that many fans across the world would not go to work protesting this ridiculous decision. Now, Manny can and will make things right. Timothy Bradley, a solid fighter in his own right knew that he had lost. HIs pride and ego wouldn’t let him admit it, but he knew he had lost. He also has the chance to redeem himself, but he won’t. This will be a great fight until the end, which should come by brutal knockout before round 9. Manny Pacquiao will turn back the hands of time and win this fight without question. The world will be a better place. The east coast will see good weather and the west coast will receive the needed rain. Life will be more settled even though a hurricane fighter by the name of Manny Pacquiao came through Las Vegas in a brutal fury on April 12th to destroy another opponent that was living on a false victory. Manny Pacquiao will put it all together on this night. Memories of living under a bridge wrapped up in newspapers will give him the drive to win in spectacular fashion. Manny Pacquiao has no fear. He was born a fighter. He is greatness in the ring.

Manny Pacquiao’s legacy was cemented a long time ago. He will never be questioned in any way, shape or form as a truly great fighter. He avoided no one, fought every one and is the ONLY 8 Division Boxing Champion in boxing history. Manny Pacquiao’s picture should be right next to the definition of a fighter. His wars are historic and monumental. There has never been a more exciting fighter in boxing. He has called out Floyd Mayweather for the past 6 years, agreed to everything he ever wanted, and still Floyd refuses to take the risk of losing. Manny’s reputation inside and outside the ring speak volumes about the quality of fighter and human being he is. Manny Pacquiao has won and lost fights, but his true character continually elevates him to the top. A man that shows true class, respect and honor regardless of whether he wins or loses. His legacy will be that of arguably the greatest fighting machine to have ever laced on a pair of gloves. A man that had virtually no quality boxing training as a young man, but somehow was able to accomplish more than any other boxer in history. He accomplished this with pure natural ability, perseverance, commitment, discipline, dedication and the love for his family and friends. A man that was led by God to accomplish something special and touch those that need hope. This is the legacy of Manny “Pac Man” Pacquiao. Manny is the best

Sorry, but I just can’t get excited over this fight, it seems that Packman is on his final legs as a fighter. He has to win big in this fight for me to have any belief in him.. The rumors are he’s fighting cuz he’s broke and I hope this isn’t the truth.. Bradley is still a mystery and NOT many give him any credit so, again, we’ll have to see how this one goes and right now, I’m not too sure i’m gonna watch it.. The Packman mystique has left me ever since Marquez KO’d him… PEACE …Theboxingdictionary.com ” The Language of the Ring “

i agree its worth watching but not worth that fight alone.if no undercard with good fights are met than ill wish paqiou luck and will look forward to the rebroadcast

Posted March 3, 2014 9:04 pm

Boxtradamus

Pac-Bradley is VERY worth watching because Bradley has improved IMMENSELY. HE is still LESSER than Marquez though but a little bit BETTER than Pacquiao now. This is a toss UP where Bradley will edge it INSIDE the Ring but will get screwed on the scorecards.

Posted March 3, 2014 8:51 pm

soda popinski

this fight wont do more than 800k, i assume around 700k.the under card will be the main reason for its failure not to mention the first fight still left a sour taste in our mouths.

Posted March 3, 2014 8:28 pm

Time Warner

Pac vs. JMM might be able to do 1.5 to 2 million. So the fall for a Pac/May showdown might not be a reality even without Top Rank and GBP not playing nice.

Posted March 3, 2014 7:03 pm

Time Warner

But I do have to admit that the rematch between Pac/Bradley is worth watching. And a future fight with JMM if Pac wins is too. Those fights are so close in odds that it is worth it. Floyd vs. Canelo was too even though it ended up not be the case. Floyd needs another big challenge/big name for his next fight. I could see him doing over 2 million again if he takes on Martinez if he beats Cotto. They could still sell 1.5 if Cotto wins the MW title since you would have Floyd’s chance at history to win the MW title against either one.

Posted March 3, 2014 7:01 pm

Time Warner

Pac vs. Bradley is a better matchup than Mayweather vs. Maidana. But like it was mentioned in the other thread, Mayweather’s undercard is mor than likely going to be better. If there wasn’t all this egotistical nonsense going on, we could see the winner of each match fight each other in the Fall. It just seems the only way to get Pac/Mayweather to fight now is if fans stop watching their fights and their PPV’s bomb. Mayweather was forced to fight Canelo and Pac has to fight Bradley because both of them failed at a previous PPV so why don’t fans just stop watching?

Posted March 3, 2014 6:53 pm

PEEJ

The fight was a very close fight. Pac clearly won but it was still a close fight. Can Pac fight for 12 rounds against a fighter that will move? Will the angles given to him bother him like every other boxer has. Will he be able to beat a Bradley with 2 good feet. We will find out on April 12th I guess

Posted March 3, 2014 6:48 pm

Fight Aficionado

The only valid talking points are will the judges be smoking crack ringside again? Will they render a normal score? Everyone knows Pacquiao won the first bout 10-2 or at worst 9-3 in rounds. The fight was never once in doubt until the announcer read the cards. But of course the fighters and promoters will do their job making up nonsense to promote the fight.
