Did I say Huck was the best boxer? No. He is a better boxer than Wlodarczyk hands down. I watched the pole live and up close. He got out boxed 4 11 rnds….he’s tuffness and power are his best attributes…

Huck the better boxer? Please… As far as boxing skills are concerned Huck is a mediocre boxer at best. He got schooled by Cunningham when he was younger and would most likely lose again if they would have a rematch. He may be the most exciting champ but I would pick any of the other belt holders (Hernandez, Jones, Wlodarczyk) over him.

Wlodarczyk v huck? Hell yeah. Iv seen the pole up close & personnel, he’s a tough guy…my opinion huck is the better boxer. On the other hand I saw the pole get hit with loads of big big shots vs a heavy puncher & it didn’t faze him at all…Wlodarczyk was behind in pretty much every rnd b4 unleashing 1 massive combo, got the knockout in 12th. After eating big shots all night the poles face looked like he wasn’t touched….he’s a tuff man.

Agree with Swedish boxing fan about the lack of possible great fights that could take place in this division. Mirko is ranked 12th accoridng to the WBO on what I saw. Yet even here there are some 5 more interesting fights that could have been made for Huck. Sadly, records are more important than good fights. Most people I would think thought woudl consider Hernandez the true champ. First he beat Steve Cunningham, who besides having a knockout over Huck when he defended his title against him, had split a pair of fights with the POlish fighter, who he beat in the second of their two fights, and had a win of Jones, the Panamanian who later became the WBA champ when Cunningham was champ a second time. Huck claimed when he was champ that he could beat Cunningham, but we all know talk is cheap. Even Jones however I thought should have lost to that guy from Canada, but got the decision because it was in Germany.

Swedish Boxing Fan

Marco Huck is regarded as the best cruiserweight world champion by most fans and critics and Fightnews haves him as the Nr.1 Cruiserweight fighter with 12 defences of his WBO world title belt BUT he still have that title sence 2009 he have not fought against the other title world champions.

We want Marco Huck fight WBC champ Krzysztof Wlodarczyk – WBA champ Dennis Lebedev and IBF champ Yoan Hernandez. We want a unification tournament in the cruiserweight division. The division lacks a true champion and needs that.

Other then Marcko Huck there is little interest in that weight class now becouse of the lack of interesting fighters enough so what we need then is a unifed and undisputed cruiserweight world champion and thats it.

@ Lenin
I’m not questioning his spirit, he certainly doesn’t run from a fight. But he looked very bad and against some of the opponents he has faced. Personally I think he’s the weakest beltholder at cruiserweight.

@ Lenin – I fully agree with you. Huck is never in a “bad” or “non-entertaining” fight. Call me crazy, but I would really like to see Huck against Wlad one of these days. Huck may be raw and un-skilled, but he has a good chin, decent power, and never stops coming forward or trying to win. Not to say that he would beat Wlad by any means, but he would at least not be afraid to try.

Bad performances? Never! Wrong decisions? Yep. He was gifted more than one win in his career, but Huck is a very entertaining boxer, always giving his best adn ready to brawl, although this is sometimes not enough to win (bought judges’ scorecards don’t count).

Because he doesn’t want to risk not breaking this record. He probably won’t ever fight Wlodarczyk and move up to heavyweight claiming there were no challenges left at cruiserweight while in fact his career is filled with poor performances and controversial decisions.

Why not Włodarczyk? I’m really disappointed.
