Another forecast for Wilder’s next fight.
Left hook follow up with a mini straight right. Bingo! Thats it !
31 KO, 1.5 minute in round 1.
this guy is gonna be in a rude awakening when he fights top ten heavys. Wlad will destroy him with one right straight of left hook.. Saw he barely win the bronze in the Olympics. nothing special about himPosted March 12, 2014 11:05 am

I love boxing since 30 years ago。 I didn’t follow up any boxing after Mike Tyson’s reign.
Btw, I studied Bermane Stiverne and Chris Arreola fights recently. Both of em are no match against Deontay.
I think DT will get the WBC title after 32 KOs.Posted March 11, 2014 9:21 am
Tell u what! I studied Malik’s fights. His head move toward to his opponent too often. This is the perfect range for Deontay, easy target. This fight will end up within 3 rounds. Another easy KO for Deontay.Posted March 11, 2014 9:18 am

Why are these 2 bums fighting a title eliminator, they haven’t beaten any one whos any good.Posted March 10, 2014 6:19 am
I actually like this fight I think Scott is much better than chisora he can box the only problem is when he gets hit hard he will probably fall apart.Posted March 9, 2014 9:28 pm
If they want an American champ that bad give Jennings a shot.Posted March 9, 2014 9:27 pm
They’re trying to hand a title to Arreola… It’s a fraud.
He gets a title shot at Stiverne who already beat him.
Arreola was beaten by Adamek, and wouldn’t stand a chance against Haye, Fury, Pulev, Glazkov, or Povetkin.
I’ll be interested in hearing the scores when he fights Stiverne.Posted March 9, 2014 9:27 pm

Wilder or Scott don’t excite me in the slightest. Wilder has thus far been unable to demonstrate a grasp of even boxing basics such as how to place your feet and throw hooks without falling on your opponent. Scott has much better boxing basics but seriously lacks power and is woefully short of being anywhere close to world class. I’m afraid these two clowns fighting for a (once respected) world title eliminator just sums up exactly how pitiful this current era of HW boxing has degraded. Any of Lewis, Tyson, Holyfield, Bowe, Tua, McCall, Mercer and even Bruno, Morrison, Briggs would simply demolish the contenders of this era. I’m afraid if the best of the rest in this era are Pulev, Fury, Chisora and Wilder/Scott then it says it all for me. As dominant as the Klits have been, I’m afraid beating the clowns that they have done would be an easy task for any stand out boxer from any era.
It’s sad to pin so many hopes on a single boxer but I genuinely can’t wait for Anthony Joshua to step up and see if he has what it takes. This is the ONLY hope I see of any form of HW excitement any time soon. Until he steps up and hopefully progresses, watching the pathetic pretenders of this shameful era is only slightly more fun that having both legs lopped off with a blunt gardening tool.Posted March 9, 2014 1:50 pm
“The March 15th WBC heavyweight eliminator bout between Deontay Wilder and Malik Scott is one of the more exciting fights to be made in the last few years.” This is probably the worst single line in an article in the last few years.Posted March 9, 2014 10:49 am

Hamster.., Scott wasn’t looking for a way out. He was winning the fight and not busted up in the least. He wasn’t looking for favors. If he wanted out he would have stayed down. It was an equilibrium shot and he took a 9-count.
That’s what they train you do do. Be smart and take what the rules give you.
He was keeling, watching the count carefully, and got up on time. You get a full 10-count to get up and Scott was taking full advantage of it. He knew he was winning and he didn’t wanted to have all the time he could take to be as clear headed as possible. It was a possible turning point and he needed to be ready to respond.Posted March 8, 2014 11:39 pm
Crap fight, title eliminator Lol.Posted March 8, 2014 10:43 pm
I don`t dispute it was a hostile ref, and letter of the law or not, the fight felt dirty because of the way it ended, but my sympathy just isn`t there for someone who waits till the count of nine and then acts surprised when he is counted out.
My reading on it is that he was starting to creak under the pressure and was happy to take a way out. Like Judah does.
He certainly doesn`t deserve to be handed a title eliminator, neither does Wilder.Posted March 8, 2014 10:04 pm
Hamster…, The referee didn’t say “OUT” either… He started waving his hands right after he said “nine..”. There is a pause between 9 and OUT… Since you can’t say OUT when the boxer is completely on his feet and facing you he didn’t say it.. Scott took the time allotted for a knockdown… Scott explained that he could have gotten up at any time. He said he took the time allowed for a knockdown because it was a behind the head equilibrium shot. He knows where he got hit. He’s the boxer who took the shot.
Scott got a quick count… He can hear perfectly well and he intended to take a 9 count and got a quick count… If he was hurt or behind on points the referee probably would have let the fight continue, but he was ahead and wasn’t hurt … After you get up you have a few seconds because the referee talks to you, and rubs your gloves off, and asks you if you can continue. Then he often has you walk a couple steps forward. If you pass that process it’s “box.”
Friendly refs use the full process… Hostile refs rub the gloves perfunctorily and order you to box immediately… This was an extremely hostile referee, who wanted Chisora to “Spank the Yank.”Posted March 8, 2014 9:33 pm

Swedish Boxing Fan
I said it before and I say this again. I’m not the guy who wan’ts to complain and I have respect for Malic Scotts boxing skills.
However he have done nothing to deserve being ranked in Top 15# by any of the 4 major world title organisations (WBC, WBA, IBF & WBO) or by Ring Magazine etc and he is NOT even there so how is this possible?.
Scott have NEVER defeated a recognised top contender in his entire PRO career and his best known fight was last year being stoped by top man Dereck Chisora, so how can that award him to fight in a “world title” eleminator? What?
Thats right he have done nothing and allmost all agree with that statement becouse its all true. There are so many other heavyweights out there who could and should be put up here in a world title eleminator bout against Deontay Wilder (I will not dig in his right for the shot as I can at least accapt that position becouse he sells, have lots of power and have fought in better fights recently then others)
Kubrat Pulev, Derek Chisora, Tyson Fury, Tomasz Adamek, Bryant Jennings, Lucas Browne, Fres Oquendo, Tony Thompson, Mike Perez, Alex Leapai etc are all fighters ranked and recognised by all four major world title organistations and Fightnews Top 15# as well, still non of these contenders where offered the oppertunity. Its a joke.
ALSO, this fight is not, I citate the article author:
That is false advertisment as there have been a lot of negative reacts and responds to this fight being officaly recognised a “WBC World heavyweight title eleminator”.
Agree any more people? I’m done with this comment and have spoken my and others oppinion.Posted March 8, 2014 7:54 pm
TARK…..From the secretary of the BBBC under whose rules the Chisora Scott fight was fought responding to Goosen….
“I understand the points you have raised but in answering feel I must first clarify them,” Smith wrote. “Firstly, when describing the process of Mr. Scott rising, you quite correctly make reference to Mr. Scott ‘having nothing on the canvas but his feet’ at the count of nine. However, under British Boxing Board of Control Rules (3.32) a boxer is deemed to be ‘down’ by one of four criteria, one of which is ‘when the boxer is in the act of rising.’ Therefore, the point at which the boxer has nothing on the canvas but his feet is not the point at which the boxer is no longer ‘down.’
“Most importantly, after a boxer is ‘down’ boxing can only continue when the boxer ‘is in a position and a condition to defend himself.’
“Secondly, you state that referee Phil Edwards ‘never reached or uttered the count of 10.’ Again, you are quite right. In the United Kingdom (like many countries) the count of the referee (having picked it up from the timekeeper) is ‘7, 8, 9, out.’ Ten is never called by any referee in any contest in this country.Posted March 8, 2014 7:14 pm
If Deontay wins this one GB should use some of that money to invest in a big fight for him. Like the winner of Arreola-Stiverne. Lay out enough cash to scare everyone else off. It’s a damned title fight.Posted March 8, 2014 6:51 pm

Boxrec has Scott ranked in the mid 30’s- right below Audley Harrison!!
Deontay is like number 10!
While this is an amusing fight, no way should it be a title eliminator.
Wilder’s people picked Scott because he has a name, no chin, little heart, and has faced competion just as bad as Deontay has ( Chisora excepted ).
Check boxrec. Scott’s opponents have been terrible- and he can’t even knock THOSE guys out…
This is the biggest fraud in the history of title eliminators.Posted March 8, 2014 2:15 pm
if this is a good heavyweight fight today,i would hate to see a bad one.Posted March 8, 2014 2:09 pm
No. It’s a good fight. Scott was beating Chisora on points when he caught a shot behind the ear… It was an equilibrium shot so he took a 9-count as a precaution.
As a result he got robbed because everyone clearly saw he was up before the referee counted to 10. In fact, the referee didn’t even say “10” he said “9” and waved his arms.Posted March 8, 2014 1:26 pm
Scott had a draw with Glazkov that he should have won and Glaskov is fighting Adamek. I agree Wilder vs. Chisorea or Fury would make more sense as an eliminator but this is boxing. Considering Mormeck, Pianeta, Wach, Charr, and Sosnowski have gotten title shots is Wilder-Scott really that ridiculous of an eliminator?Posted March 8, 2014 1:20 pm

If Wilder has any shot at all for the HW title, he needs to do it quick while WK is mentally distracted with the problems in Ukraine. Even with all that, WK wins and makes wilder look like an amateur. This guy has been babyfed through the ranks.Posted March 8, 2014 9:31 am

The truth is that the power brokers have been desperate to control the Heavyweight division from the US but Wlad & Vitali have been head & shoulders above every contender since Lewis retired. Now that Vitali’s retired, the TV networks’ contenders are being elevated through the rankings so that the WBC paper champion can be US based again. None of the contenders have a great record, even Fury’s looks good compared to Wilder but Wilder is the Great redWhiteandblue Hope, so he’s been given an eliminator. If Wlad loses his title or when he retires, expect a farce like the Welterweight division, where title contenders are chosen by potential PPV sales and different champions or top contenders can’t fight one another because they’re contracted to different networks.
Boxing is a business and a sport but right now it is run on business decisions rather than sporting excellence. Unless a HW beats Wlad fair and square, they are a paper champ, a TV network puppet – not the Heavyweight Champion.Posted March 8, 2014 7:36 am
