Scoob… Zimmerman has been arrested 4 times for gun violations since his murder trial… The man has a problem and likes to wave guns around. He followed a teenager who was walking home from the store for no reason other than he was black… Martin was minding his own business. Zimmerman wasn’t.
It OK… Many people get away with murder in the US. At least 9,000 a year. I’m not worried. They all get old. They all die. They all face eternal judgment.
Nobody “gets away” with anything, “Better to be punished by man than by God. Man’s punishment is temporal but cleanses the soul… God’s punishment is eternal torment for the unrepentant—who through clever artifice and lies, escaped the perplexed judgments of man.”Posted March 14, 2014 6:47 pm

White republican s don’t have a problem with immigration they have a problem with “illegal immigration” . In general, white people like Mexican folks that’s why whites had George Zimmerman s back, plus Zimmerman was on the right side of the law.
Danny’s dad is retarded, sounds like he grew up behind a dumpsterPosted March 14, 2014 10:58 am
Angel Garcia’s living his consummate boxing championship fantasies through Danny. What a great father he turned out to be! Go Danny!Posted March 14, 2014 1:42 am
Herrera…, “I fought better guys for peanuts.”
Nope. You got your ass beaten for peanuts. This is a title fight. Not only that, you’re fighting the top fighter in the world at your weight. And you’re getting paid for a change.
So just relax and try to earn your check.Posted March 14, 2014 1:03 am
Herrera’s lucky Garcia has thrown him a bone, let alone peanuts and he show the champ a bit more respect.Posted March 13, 2014 10:17 pm
Have to say that Argentinian food is some of the best there is. I’ll take an asado with some red wine or beer and I’m good to go.Posted March 13, 2014 10:02 pm
Peruvians have the best accent and the food is good, but the women not so good. Argentinians talk from the nose, because they try to be italian and they don’t pronounce the LL as j, but they do a spitting sound, which is amusing. And they’re all g a y, both men and women, well not all, but most of them. The Chileans talk like women, even the men, and they’re ugly as hell.Posted March 13, 2014 9:41 pm
@Bearcat- I stay away from the MX/PR BS on this site as I am a fan of boxing in general, but I had to respond to the BS comment on who speaks better Spanish. Reality is each Latin American Country fought for independence of Spain. Each should be equally proud of the dialect of Spanish that is unique to their Country. That argument is synonymous to which area of the US speaks English most like the British…. ridiculous.Posted March 13, 2014 9:21 pm
The worst spanish is spoken by argentinians followed by chileans. Don’t ever go to either of these countries. All argentinian women are lesbians and chilean women are hairy half-humans. And the food is bad.Posted March 13, 2014 9:15 pm
I’m neutral in this argument between Mexican fighter’s and PuertoRican fighter’s ,,but that last blog about promoter’s giving away free pigs feet for every ticket bought is hilarious .Posted March 13, 2014 8:38 pm

Danny Garcia is going to look great in this fight ,,,the promoters have already sold 75 tickets for Saturdays fight . They are trying to get more people to come and watch the fight ,, that they are giving away free pigs feet for every ticket you buy . Tickets are $ 2 and $ 4 dollars at the door for this historical fight .Posted March 13, 2014 8:31 pm

So what if we don’t speak good Spanish in Puerco Rico ,,as long as us Puerto Ricans can come to the U.S.A . and receive welfare money and food stamps .nothing else matters ..I’m proud to be Puerto Rican and living off Uncle Sam .Posted March 13, 2014 8:18 pm
I’ve heard from different Latino cultures ,like the Argentinians and Colombians and the Mexicans that the Puerto Ricans speak the worst Spanish of all the Latinos ,that they only understand it them self .Posted March 13, 2014 8:12 pm
Not only is Danny Garcias Spanish terrible but his English is also terrible ,,it almost seems like he is slow .Posted March 13, 2014 8:08 pm
Danny should already have Petersons belt. Peterson got knocked out by Matthysse but was afraid to put the belt up, Danny clearly but up Matthysse so technically he should have that belt right now!Posted March 13, 2014 8:06 pm
I once thought Garcia was over-rated … but I was wrong and Garcia has come into his own as an elite fighter.
Having said that, Herrera could be a difficult fight.
Herrera has height and reach and he fights effectively going backward. Herrera beat Providnikov which shows he can take a punch.
Garcia should win but it will be much more difficult than anybody is expecting. This should give Herrera some good fights against some of the other elite fighters.Posted March 13, 2014 7:46 pm
@Boxtradamus I agree, the Peterson fight would have also got him another beltPosted March 13, 2014 7:45 pm
Well that was one of MY disciples. I have no problem with Garcia. I think he’s on the cusp of becoming Top 10 P4P. He’s taking a step back with this Fight though. IF he was going to stay at 140 he should have been facing Peterson.Posted March 13, 2014 7:35 pm

nowadays, Mexico is indispensable when it comes to boxing. you can’t become a world champ under 154 without beating up some MexicansPosted March 13, 2014 6:57 pm
So Danny gets thrown under a bus for trying to connect with his Rican fan base. Why is this an issue for Danny and not an issue for Mex-AM boxers like M. Garcia, Rios, Ortiz, Vargas…etc? Both his parents were born and raised in PR, unlike many of the Mex-AM fighters. He has the right to rep PR (regardless of how ate-up his Spanish is) in the same manner that Mex-AM fighters represent Mexico on their trunks or during their walk to the ring.
Also, as far as language proficiency it is key to know that growing up Latino in the West is vastly different to growing up Latino in the East Coast (… still no excuse, but true)
Anyway, unlike many of the boxers mentioned by Tumbo I don’t think Danny has overlooked Herrera. Should be a good fight on Saturday.Posted March 13, 2014 6:54 pm
Garcia deserves an easy fight to try to win over the Puerto Rico fight fans. truthfully, Garcia deserves a shot at ugly girl Floyd more than Maidana or KhanPosted March 13, 2014 6:51 pm
The only insight your putrid and venomous posts provide is the fact that you cant come to terms that libra por libra, P.R. boxing reigns over Mejico “lindo”. (By the way, was that Ray Charles who coined the phrase Mejico lindo???) Matthysse had moments in the fight, but danny won about 8 rounds of that fight. Danny closed the distance, smotheed his shots, started opening up on him, gave him a crazy uppercut that swelled his eye and then he went to work on that eye. Danny is a smart poised fighter with pop in both hands and great timing. not very fast but makes up in technique. kinda flat footed also, but can side step and cut off the ring. in no way did Matthysse do any damage besides knocking out his mouth piece, but then got dropped and made to look ordinary. give khan the rematch because he was being schooled til he caught khan in the third and he never recoveredPosted March 13, 2014 6:04 pm

I will not pretend to know anything about Herrera. From what I do know of Danny Garcia, he should take care of business as usual and win this Saturday Night. I have written off Herrera due to lack of knowledge and never having seen any of his fights. I remember thinking the same thing about Felix Strum who IMO beat Oscar Delahoya, Vernon Forrest beat Shane Mosley, and Ricardo Mayorga who KO Vernon Forrest. Danny Garcia should win this fight but you never know, sometimes a Buster Douglas shows up.Posted March 13, 2014 5:53 pm
“spaniards killed more Mexicans” that is correct. Mexicans areN’T “spanish”, which is east-coast code for self-loathing. also, there is no reason for sailing to where we sent them back too. spain is where spaniards belong NOT Mexico. i believe they got the message.Posted March 13, 2014 5:48 pm
Mathysse didn’t dominate a single round, he also got knocked down once. Judah gave Danny trouble.Posted March 13, 2014 5:35 pm
also danny doesn’t speak spanish that well. the fat swiss banker wants danny to expand his fan base because he cant sell 5000 tickets in philly. his gress style is borderline insane and ugly at best. that said he is pretty good despite his weirdo look and ability to butcher both languages . like the word truth somehow sounds like troof. his lego man haircut has got to go.Posted March 13, 2014 5:23 pm
Garcia has had a pretty hard schedule of opponents as of late. No issues with him fighting Herrera here.

Mexico was the first to bumrush Spain off the continent with fierce cries of “Muerte a los Gachupines!”. Raza has been reclaiming our culture ever since with little if any concern for what “spaniards” think. conversely and historically, PR is used to having a padrote feed them, clothe them, and pay their bills, but even that has only resulted in a subsistence level existence. at least Raza comes by their poverty honestly. WTF is PR’s excuse?!?Posted March 13, 2014 4:24 pm
The dude from SO CAL , is gonna put Danny boy in check! LolPosted March 13, 2014 4:12 pm
Btw, Danny’s spanish is atrocious (“cintido”?!?). he obviously doesn’t give a F’k about his “rican” heritage. PR is simply a convenient and increasingly desperate audience to pimp for promotional clout. otherwise, as his blowhard “Papi” previously declared: “We’re American, baby!”Posted March 13, 2014 3:57 pm
Danny better not repeat the wishful thinking of JuanMono. Raza comes to FIGHT. this ain’t no dance and Raza doesn’t train with knee-pads in case the going gets too tough. the site could’ve been Philly or in Salido’s playground of Bayamamon, PR. no difference except that one is in a state and the other in a territory. otherwise, the expectation is ALways to provide ricans with a lesson in Fighting NOT talking. i actually think that Josesito would’ve provided Garcia with more competition but that’s not what they’re looking for. Herrera is a set-up to tap into an otherwise drifting rican fanbase. just like Salido was for JuanMono. or Arce was for Vasquez Jr. or Margarito was for Cintron. or Segura was for Calderon. or Lopez was for Mikey. except that Mikey executed and actually delivered on the promise. the others were executed and erased from the ranking by ring-warriors who, win or lose, come to FIGHT. Garcia better not forget or Herrera will crash his island-party too.Posted March 13, 2014 3:53 pm

Floyd is at the center of the sport. You don’t mention Basketball without LebronPosted March 13, 2014 1:59 pm
Well as Hildalg0 said Floyds name isn’t on this article and this is about Garcia so no need to bring him up. Apparently people are going to say Garcia beats Floyd but that is just to start a Floyd debate. Ill take Garcia by late stoppage by a left hookPosted March 13, 2014 1:57 pm
Someone said something referring to Floyd and I just explained why that cracks me up. No need to get in an uproar Hildalg0 that was all I was gonna say about Floyd. lolPosted March 13, 2014 1:55 pm
They pay to see him loose. But he makes people look ordinary, but he never fought Pac, Paul Williams, Berto, Margarito. He picks and chooses for the longevity, it’s not that he can’t beat them, he’s a business manPosted March 13, 2014 1:54 pm
How the hell did Floyd Mayweather Jr. get into this thread? There’s not one single word about Floyd in the article. Really people, you show your limited to non-existent knowledge of boxing when you constantly have to refer to Mayweather in order to say anything at all regarding the sport.Posted March 13, 2014 1:51 pm
Well what cracks me up about Floyd is that we have all these people say he is boring yet he sells like crazy in PPVs and tickets. But yet he is boring. So I am wondering why are people paying to watch him fight.Posted March 13, 2014 1:40 pm
Boxers don’t get as much publicity as brawlers. the only boxer that really gets it is Mayweather and they say he’s boring and they ignore the fact that he’s the most skilled boxer on the planet. but that’s also match making.Posted March 13, 2014 1:26 pm

bmac306 – True. Herrera outboxed Ruslan.Posted March 13, 2014 1:13 pm
PEEJ – I agree! Garcia’s resume speaks for itself (at this point) and I have no issues with Herrera getting the fight.Posted March 13, 2014 1:12 pm
Marquez is fighting Alvarado, PAC fought Rios, Cotto fought Rodriguez so I don’t see a problem. And Herrera is a good boxer, you don’t know him because of bad promotion. And ranking has to do with promotion also. Look at the bigger picturePosted March 13, 2014 1:05 pm
Sorry to break the news but Danny is not Puertorican. He’s American who is USING his PR heritage as a ploy to get the large puertorican boxing audience and money. The attempt at speaking Spanish during the press conference was pretty ridiculous. Danny, just be yourself and don’t turn your back on your Philly roots. If you want to call yourself a Phillyrican – fine, but you’re not Puertorican, no matter how many times you say that you listen to the music and eat the food. I eat sushi, churrasco, baked beans and mofongo in the same week….doesn’t make me Japanese, Argentinian, a hillbilly and Boricua all at once. Yes, common sense does feel good at times.Posted March 13, 2014 1:04 pm
Garcia has had a pretty hard schedule of opponents as of late. No issues with him fighting Herrera here.Posted March 13, 2014 12:58 pm
Regardless why Herrera was picked, he will get a good payday, which all fighters deserve at least once in their careerPosted March 13, 2014 12:53 pm
Danny is Puerto Rican, he is first generation American which is much different. He eats the food, understands the language, and listens to the music. I’m proud of my Puerto Rican CHAMPION!!!Posted March 13, 2014 12:51 pm
I meant to say that the majority of mainstream boxing fans DON’T know or care anything about Herrera.Posted March 13, 2014 12:45 pm
A lot of hubbub about Garcia fighting an opponent that the majority of mainstream boxing fans know or care anything about.
Additionally, Herrera is not rated in the top 10 in the jr. welterwelterweight or welterweight divisions by Ring Magazine who has listed Danny as Jr. Welterweight Champion. Herrera is ranked #3 Jr. welterweight contender by the WBA and as of January 2014 the WBC ranked Herrera as the #35 jr. welterweight in the world.
I have a feeling Herrera was boosted in the WBA rankings so this would be realized as a “legitimate” fight for Danny Garcia. I mean really, the WBA has Thomas Dulorme ranked higher than Herrera.
Seems more like Herrera was chosen to basically guarantee Garcia a win so he won’t be embarrassed fighting in front of his heritage Puerto Rican crowd. Regardless, Danny is no more Puerto Rican than I am Scottish. He’s American through and through.Posted March 13, 2014 12:43 pm
I seriously doubt that. We still have to see with Mayfield, but I doubt that very muchPosted March 13, 2014 12:42 pm
