I’m anxious to see how Wilder does vs Stiverne… Scott was a massive move up in class, but the fight was too damned short to do Wilder any good.. He still doesn’t have any rounds against anybody.
The only guys who could have given him rounds up to now are Liakhovich and Scott. Those are the only real fighters he fought — and I don’t think they were as ready as they could be when that bell rang.
Until he fights Stiverne—because Stiverne is going to be ready, and is going to hit Wilder real good—I’m not ready to say he’s the next great heavyweight.Posted March 16, 2014 10:31 pm
@ KL… Jennings is no Herbie Hyde.. Hyde was very fast.. He boxed the piss out of Bowe for 3 rounds.. but Hyde had no chin.. no thoughness at all.. and he really was not a world class talent..
He was lucky—he got a title shot at Michael Bentt—probably the worst Heavyweight Champion of all time.
Vitali knocked Hyde out with a jab in 2 rounds.. Bowe was getting the crap boxed out of him by Hyde, but Bowe started mauling Hyde to death … and eventually got him out.
Jennings is tougher and smarter than Hyde… He’s a better technician… I think he’ll eventually win a title—and without beating a tomato can like Michael Bentt.Posted March 16, 2014 10:16 pm

“I like what I’ve seen of Jennings. Always shows up in top shape, rarely gets tired, can throw volume when he needs to and his defense is decent.” – Fight Aficionado.
It’s Me, Ernie
Scott took a dive, that’s a no brainer. No mysterious anchor punch, just a fix. His eyes were clear, pitiful…Posted March 16, 2014 10:40 am
Glazkov is improving all the time, he looked much better than in the Scott fight. Adamek is finished I think, he got a gift over Cunningham last time. As for Wilder, he is doing ”a David Price”, just more frequently. I feel he will be exposed once he fights a top level heavy.Posted March 16, 2014 7:08 am
Adamek is a warrior with great career of two divsion world champion but now he is 37 years old and it’s time to retire healthy.Posted March 16, 2014 6:42 am
“Boxing skills are quite good but I think he lacks a big enough punch to mix with the bigger boys in the division.” – KL, I like what I’ve seen of Jennings. Always shows up in top shape, rarely gets tired, can throw volume when he needs to and his defense is decent. His punch seems to have improved in the last couple years but he’ll never be a KO artist. Jennings vs Wilder must happen and if it does I don’t see a Bowe-Hide scenario at all.Posted March 16, 2014 4:25 am
JL do уou tink thаt Glаzkov еvеntuаl bеаt Pulеv. Веcаusе Kubrаt hаs grеаt jаb to. Аlso hе is #1 in Ring аnd IВ0. ThаnksPosted March 16, 2014 4:13 am
Adamek as usual showed a ton of heart but I don’t think it would be a bad thing if he retired. I was at the fight and his face looked a mess by the mid way point. Still he rallied late in the fight trying to make something happen. I think the key for Glazkov was the jab. That’s what really seemed to bother Adamek.
I like Glazkov but I think the problem he’ll face is that similar to Adamek he is not that big by today’s heavyweight standards. I would think that Glazkov/Pulev should be next but in boxing nothing seems to work out the way you would think it should. When Adamek defeated Steve Cunningham he was supposed to face Pulev. And then when Tyson Fury defeated Steve Cunningham he was supposedly set to fight Pulev. Maybe this time the number 2 IBF contender will actually fight the number 1 contender to determine who becomes Wlad’s mandatory.Posted March 16, 2014 4:02 am
ТАRK whаt do уou tink аbout Wildеr vs. Pulеv whаt hаppеn? Cаn Dеontау knock him out pulеv likе ScottPosted March 16, 2014 2:24 am
Glazkov dominated this fight… Which is interesting because I thought Malik Scott outboxed him.Posted March 16, 2014 2:22 am
Wilder shoud get some rounds in vs Stiverne or Arreola.. It seemed like a freak punch that KO’d Scott… MS was nailed with a long left hook in the temple. Wilder landed sort of a freak shot on Liakhovich too. Those are the only 2 guys who could have given him rounds. They gave everybody else rounds.
They may not haved warmed up properly. It’s hard to read Deontay’s punches so it takes a couple rounds to adjust to them. They rain down at you and strike really fast. It’s very hard to find sparring partners who can duplicate the way Deontay punches.
With the number of rounds Deontay’s racked up he could have fought all his opponents in 14 months or so. Bryant Jennings picked Scott to win this fight… Bryant thought Malik would show Wilder a whole new world out there.
Wilder has speed, power, and an 84-inch reach.. What he doesn’t have is a lot of experience against top fighters.. In the next few fights he has that’s going to happen.
John Wooden.., “Experience is overrated. Give me guys with talentPosted March 16, 2014 1:54 am
Good for Glazkov I knew he was going to win if the judges didn’t screw him. The fight wasn’t Close if you aren’t biase. There is an argument to make that Adamek has lost his last 3 fights and that he has slipped and needs to seriously consider retirement.Posted March 16, 2014 1:47 am
Adamek won’t get another title shot……….If he barely beats Cunningham and now gets soundly beat by Glazkov who couldn’t beat Scott .
Glаzkov spаring with Wlаd fеw timеs. Аnd hе hаs good jаb, if not fight with Pulеv thаn mауbе Chаgаеv who is rаnkеd #3 in IВF. Аnothеr good fight is Ustinov_glаzkovPosted March 16, 2014 1:33 am
Fight Aficionado do you rate Jennings that highly?
Glad to see Adamek finally lose. That guy was getting way too many gift decisions.Posted March 16, 2014 1:07 am
Fight Aficionado no jennings ran a way from tomasz and he ran from pulev.. travis kauffman warPosted March 16, 2014 12:50 am
Pulev vs Glazkov is good indeed. Speaking of NBCS, what about Bryant Jennings? I don’t know why he’s not at least #2 in any of the governing bodies. He’s been facing and beating good comp.Posted March 16, 2014 12:44 am
Now Glаzkov is #2 in IВF. Pulеv is #1, pulеv-glаzkov nеxt!
Nice action fight. Still not impressed with Glazkov but he fought better than he did against Scott and pitched a near shutout for the first half of the fight. Adamek’s past it but the man is as game as they come. He put it all on the line those last few rounds. No fear in that guy. Boxing needs more Adameks.Posted March 16, 2014 12:30 am

A good match. I thought it was a little closer, but Glazkov won. Good ref.Posted March 15, 2014 11:23 pm
it was close fight. not 117-110 in my opinionPosted March 15, 2014 11:13 pm
Adamek finished strong. It’s hard not to like Tomasz.Posted March 15, 2014 11:12 pm
