fury will beat the african again.Posted March 19, 2014 8:43 am

July 26th! Why wait so long? Fury has been too inactive for too long. “To rest is to rust”!Posted March 19, 2014 4:57 am
everyone knows that heavyweight boxing today is a joke.but that wont stop thousands of idiots paying to watch this crap.Posted March 18, 2014 12:25 pm
TJ…..It was a scheduled 12 rounds,it doesn’t have to be a title…as was Floyd v JMM 12 rounds….Posted March 18, 2014 12:22 pm
fury is a bum and has never beaten anyone. Lennox would have iced him like he did Golota.Posted March 18, 2014 11:31 am
As for Wilder, he is the new Faruq Saleem, heading for a big fall.Posted March 18, 2014 8:39 am
Fury’s a better fighter all round than Cooney, for sure. And he’s already beaten better comp. than Cooney ever did. Cooney could hit against a certain level of comp= shot fighters and bums, but he got beat whenever he stepped up.Posted March 18, 2014 8:36 am
Wilder is not in the same league as these guys…Posted March 18, 2014 8:30 am
Frazier made his living off his hook. He sometimes threw 20 in a row.Posted March 18, 2014 12:30 am
Cooney had the 485th best hook in history. Many better.Posted March 18, 2014 12:28 am
Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. LionKing)
Cooney had the best left hook in HW boxing history. Problem was that he didn’t have a right hand to complete his arsenal. If he had skill and power in his right, he would’ve been HW Champion of the World.Posted March 17, 2014 10:17 pm
Cooney was massively overhyped because he was that rare thing; A White American Heavyweight.Posted March 17, 2014 6:45 pm
No disrespect to Cooney, but he truly did beat nobodies; Lyle, Norton and Young were names, but were utterly shot and past it by the time Cooney fought them. The only other fighters who had any kind of name were Dino Dennis, Philipp Brown and Eddie Gregg, but these three were just fringe contenders. Holmes was an excellent fighter, but the old version of Foreman wouldnt get into the Top Ten today, nor would the skilled but weak and small Michael Spinks.Posted March 17, 2014 6:37 pm
Assuming Tyson Fury trains right for the fight, he’ll beat Chisora. Just as well Irish people came to Britain, because they’d have no roads or canals otherwise!! You know the score, boys..ps, we got the looks too! :)Posted March 17, 2014 5:44 pm
keep the hw circus rolling.Posted March 17, 2014 5:30 pm
the whole heavyweight division has been a joke for years.Posted March 17, 2014 5:08 pm
Wlad will eat Fury and Del boy on the same night.Posted March 17, 2014 4:13 pm
SO, GERRY COONEY only lost to LARRY HOLMES, MIKE SPINKS and GEORGE FOREMAN during his career. All 3 of these men IMHO would wipe the floor with TYSON Fury.
Who has Fury beaten that is any great shakes as a Heavyweight? No one. CHISORA came in almost as big as a latter day Danny Williams, but yes, I would rate Fury if he beats a trim CHISORA.
His other wins over Kingpin means nothing and USS he forearmed him before getting in the finishing hook and should have been disqualified. Fury is a work in progress and I would like to see him in with a PULEV before he deserves such a lofty world rating.
If HAYE comes back as I suspect he will, he should be forced to face FURY before he can get another world title shot.Posted March 17, 2014 2:10 pm
Now that Chisora has his weight troubles sorted out will guys give Fury credit for beating him a second time? Doubt it.Posted March 17, 2014 2:01 pm
Delboy is a top ten HW????? Hahahahahahaahahahaa…. tha’s too funny. So what if Fury beat Chisora already… David Haye beat Chisora also… This is going to be a decent fight…. no way none of these guys are top 10 HW’s.
I will agree, Wilder has been carefully matched since he started his pro career. But potential is there. Fury still looks amateurish, and is mimicking Wladimir’s, one punch, grab, hold, lean on, push down…. style. I don’t think Fury can take any of the legit top 10 contenders. Seeing is believing, so until he finally gets in the ring with some decent competition, the jury is still out on Fury.Posted March 17, 2014 2:00 pm
Gerry Cooney was never any good. His biggest wins were over the totally shot versions of Norton and Young…who else did he ever beat?Posted March 17, 2014 1:33 pm
@KATO3388 – Fury has beaten Chisora, who is also in the Top Ten, and Cunningham and Johnson had ok rankings at the time. He’s beaten better comp than Wilder, and he is 3 years younger!Posted March 17, 2014 1:32 pm
If Fury manages to stay away from Taco Bell and Delboy is in shape this time, we’ll be in for a 12 rds battle. This should be fun! I can see Delboy stalking Tyson for the full 12 rds, and if Fury is not in a great physical shape, he will run into trouble in the later rounds. But a well trained Fury should be too much for Delboy, who will give it all nevertheless, as he always does. The weights will tell us how the fight will go. This and Froch vs. Groves prove that Brit champions don’t duck each other, and that a Brit championship fight can be more exciting than a world championship bout.Posted March 17, 2014 1:20 pm
IT’S ME, ERNIE
TARK reckons Fury is better now than Gerry COONEY was when he took on Larry Holmes in the richest Heavyweight fight at the time in 1982!
I can’t see it myself.Posted March 17, 2014 1:10 pm
“Wladimir Klitschko can KO both of them at the same time. No more than five rounds.”
But what does that have to do with this fight?Posted March 17, 2014 1:03 pm
dyson fury vs the piechucker vol 2.Posted March 17, 2014 12:48 pm
All these polls and rankings…. I don’t get it. I hold RING Magazine rankings to a higher level…. they don’t have the Organizations to answer to, they don’t charge a fee to be ranked, they don’t have to deal with the BS with promoters, etc… but they Have Tyson Fury ranked at #5?!?!?!? Boxrec has Fury ranked at #4?!?!?!? WTF!!!!! Who has Fury fought? No one in the top 10. Seriously, I don’t get it. Now a part 2 of Fury & Chisora… WHO CARES?Posted March 17, 2014 12:33 pm
CHEERS RICH… there are so many rules now I’m not sure.
BUT, why was Price vs Thompson a 12 rounder if not a championship fight?Posted March 17, 2014 12:29 pm
TJ….There are no standing count in a championship fight….Posted March 17, 2014 12:24 pm
@ john – The whole HW division is a joke these days. That said, at least both Fury and Chisora come to fight and entertain, not hug a la Wlad.Posted March 17, 2014 11:47 am
who cares both are a joke.Posted March 17, 2014 11:31 am
Chisora losses again. Apart from putting a lot of pressure on his opponent, what else can Chisora do. They say he can punch, but I don’t think he’s a big puncher at all. Tyson Fury is a better boxer and has size and reach advantages, easy money.Posted March 17, 2014 11:03 am
Don’t care for either Chisora or Furys chances against Klitschko. Haye would beat them both; and did in Chisoras case. Want to see Wilder tested against either guy though.Posted March 17, 2014 11:01 am
so Chisora is fighting Fury, Povetkin, AND Pulev??
3 different supposed next fights announced each week…Posted March 17, 2014 11:01 am
Wlаd ,,running,, from pulеv аftеr Lеаpаi fight hе mаkе volуntаrу dеfеncе аgаinst somе bum.
Pulеv-Klitschko mауbе nеvеr ,hаppеn to much risk аnd Pulеv is Chisorа ЕВU-mаndаtorу chаlеngеr.Posted March 17, 2014 10:57 am
this is great news for the plastic hw fans. two big useless jokers in the ring together.Posted March 17, 2014 10:57 am
I’VE JUST WATCHED PricevsThompsonII and I would really like someone to explain to me why referee Marcus MacDonald did not stop Pricey after he was hammered with about 40 unanswered blows, but was given a STANDING 8 COUNT when he more or less turned his back on the TIGER twice and then was only waived off after the ref looked into his eyes after the count?
The reason I ask this is because, I thought we did not exercise the standing 8 count here in England or at least we didn’t .
WHY could not a standing 8 count have been administered to GEORGE GROVES when he fought CARL COBRA FROCH? This would have been the most sensible and fair way in a WORLD title fight to have given the ref FOSTER the best chance to assess ST GROVES and if he felt he was still unable to defend himself he could have waived it over after.
Serious question folks. 8 count for Price but no 8 count for Groves……
Strange?Posted March 17, 2014 10:15 am
Not sure anyone cares. Let’s talk Wilder vs Fury. That’s the fight to determine the real challenger for Wlad.Posted March 17, 2014 10:05 am
WHO CARES!!?!?!??!!!!!!!??!?!??!Posted March 17, 2014 9:54 am
The question is will he fight chisora or eat him?Posted March 17, 2014 9:26 am
Well the whole division is a joke but the rematch with chisora vs fury, stiverne vs arreola and wilder fighting someone better than scott will all be interesting. Leapai vs Wlad will not be interesting. Hoping to see wlad vs pulev some time this year. Fury would do much better than wach against wlad, wach is like a statue. Fury can at least move well for a big man. He should beat chisora again.Posted March 17, 2014 9:21 am
Fury could be Wlad’s most dangerous opponent. He is bigger than Wlad, has a longer reach, can box a bit and more importantly brawl, and is mobile and fast for such a big man, unlike the rigid and slow Wach. Chisora fought well against Vitali, but would be smothered and nullified by Wlads jab , leaning on the neck and superior size, much the way Povetkin was. Fury will beat Chisora, either by UD or mid to late rounds stoppage. This is far more of a ”Real Fight” than the Wilder-Scott joke!Posted March 17, 2014 9:13 am

Wladimir Klitschko can KO both of them at the same time. No more than five rounds.Posted March 17, 2014 8:55 am
After his last fight, I’d imagine Fury is on the Slimfast plan….so he probably needs the time!Posted March 17, 2014 8:43 am
Best part of 19 week build up for two jokers like these, then one of em gets a crack at title,Christ how long a camp will they need for vlad two year.Posted March 17, 2014 7:46 am
