“Pacquiao has 5 losses. More if you think JMM has beaten him 4 times and he really lost to Hussein and Sanchez. His detractors are correct.”

Birdhead, are you on these boards only to criticize Manny Pacquiao? “More if you think JMM has beaten him 4 times…” WTF? Well if I want to “think” it, I’ll just think Floyd Mayweather Jr. has lost 20 times. Because I think it. Yeah, good enough reason for me.

You twit.

TARK

No anonymous… Here’s my post:

“Duran was knocked out by Hearns”

He was … but Hearns was knocked out by Barkely, Hagler, Leonard, etc… Duran fought those same fighters and never came close to being floored or KO’d by them.

Duran had 2 distinct ring personalities. One who fought like his life depended on it… One who came in pudgy from a bad camp and not training adequately … and could give a damn anyway.

So in NO way was the above a denigration of Hearn’s KO of Duran… It was more a denigration of Duran for not being ready to fight—for his fights with Leonard II… Hearns… Sims… Laing… DeJesus I… Joppy… Benitez etc.

You know damned well Duran wasn’t ready for any of those fights… Or he would have won some of them.

So, TARK denigrates a great win by Tommy Hearns knocking Roberto Duran out in a 2 rounds blowout and he puts it down to Duran not training! You are an old b8st88d TARK, trying to rob Tommy of his shine for a great win.
Do you want to know why Tommy fought so recklessly vs Barkley in their first fight? No, you don’t. If you’d bother to read the biography written by Brian & Damian Hughes called Hit Man, The Thomas Hearns Story, you would get a proper perspective. Read pages 166-168 and read the tragic incident that occurred in May 1988 as Hearns was in his Phoenix training camp, to the mother of his 5 year old daughter.
Even then TARK is trying to rewrite history as Hearns was bashing up Barkley far more easily than his idol Vitali was going with Lennox, when Hearns walked onto a right and got stopped. He was literally a punch or two away from a KO himself.
It’s commone knowledge that you are at your most vulnerable when you are throwing the kitchen sink at someone!!!
He carps on about his other idol Pacquiao being a punch or two away from beating Marquez, which is debatable, but TARK only gives breaks to the fighters he loves, who are Vitali, Lara, Trout, Garcia and Pacquiao. Every other fighter he puts down and tries to trample on their careers, because he is mean-spirited and extremely jealous of them and their achievements.

TARK, no one has forgotten how you were singing the praises of Adrien Broner even up to the day he got battered by Maidana. You were earmarking him for a spot with the ATG even as people were pointing out his flaws since he took some from Gavin Rees and took even more from Malignaggi.
You flat out wrote that Broner easily beat Paulie.
Don’t deny it TARK, otherwise you will be lying, again.

YO MOMMA, i’m wondering if Pacquiao* is even gonna make it back on Kimmel(?). if not, that would be a serious gust of reality through Hecdog’s fantasy world. anyway, nothing is gonna erase the past or rewrite history and L.A. is a less-than-sentimental town when it comes to outsiders and KO victims.

Look how much his ppvs have gone down since his looses. While Floyd continues to sell out arenas. Arum thought Manny was special so he turned down 40 million now I bet he is kicking himself in the ass for not taking it considering he has no big fights in his future and is 70 million in back taxes and you pactards talk all this crap about 09 and how he will be back but when? My friends, you do not need to be a genius to know that Tim Bradley’s days as WBO welterweight champion are coming to an end on April 12. Manny Pacquiao, the Fighting Lion of the Philippines is back and you’re going to hear him ROAR!, like that acclaimed popular music icon Katy Perry….My people, Manny Pacquiao, the 8 WEIGHT WORLD CHAMPION, will reclaim his title. Manny is AN ALL TIME GREAT of boxing, is AN ICONIC FIGHT FIGURE and was awarded the Distinction of FIGHTER OF THE DECADE. Manny has enjoyed UNPARALLED success. He is an IMMENSELY popular GLOBAL brand. Manny Pacquiao’s name is known from New York to New Zealand, from Pennsylvania to Papua New Guinea, from Ireland to India, from the depths of darkest Africa to the Outback of Australia, from Mexico to Macao, from Timbuktu to Tehran, from the North Pole to the South Pole and back again…Manny leaves his comfort zone and boxes ALL OVER THE WORLD. He is A TRULY UNIVERSAL figure and no-one can compare. Manny Pacquiao bestrides the fight game like a Young Colossus, like another Thor, like a Mythic God from Mount Olympus, another Superman, Spiderman, Batman, Captain America, Captain Marvel all rolled into one, not forgetting Iron Man, of course…Manny has already CONQUERED the Boxing World so many times before, in so many weights, fought many COMPELLING RIVALRIES, given the boxing world many highlights and EPIC fights and epic nights to remember. April 12 2014 in the bright lights of Las Vegas will be ANOTHER performance from Manny Pacquiao to live long in the memory …Manny TRULY is ONE OF A KIND, a fearless freocious Filipino PHENOMENON, a peerless punching pugilistic punisher, a dazzling dancing destroyer, a hurricane of hurt, a tornado of terrifying torment for his hapless foes, a tsunami of stupendous skills, a whirling dervish of super kinetic energy, a dynamo of DESTRUCTION, a MIGHTY ATOM OF THE RING, a SUPERHUMAN FORCE OF NATURE, A LARGER THAN LIFE LEGENDARY SUPERSTAR. My friends, we shall all bear witness to the ENDURING GREATNESS of Manny Pacquiao again soon. Manny is back. Manny Pacquiao is, quite simply, the best.

Tay, there is the biological age of 35 or 37 and then there is the ring age, which equates to accumulation of blows, ring wars, tough, tough beatings, even in victory. Boxers like Mayweather haven’t subjected themselves to many in ring wars (I can’t say what he does in sparring though), but I can count several hard contests that a man like Manny has had. 4 with JMM, a really hard 12 round defeat vs Morales, he had been KO’d on 3 occasions and had many more tough fights through the weights. This is what ages a man, more than biological years. Someone like Ricky Hatton who’s fighting style is attrition, and his outside the ring lifestyle of fried foods and several pints between fights was not conducive to a long and successful career at the very top of the sport.
Compare RJJ and Joe Calzaghe, who are similar in age, but RJJ was already MW champion of the World before JC had even turned pro and was already considered Best in the world by the time JC had won his first title in 1997. RJJ had a style that was athletic and he didn’t take too many hits until he put on a whole heap of muscle to go to ?heavyweight, then looked emaciated as he slimmed back down to LH, survived a life and death with AT and then got KTFO by AT in the rematch and then KTFO by Glen Johnson straight after. RJJ was never the same again and as his career flatlined JC’s career took off until they met in 2006 or 7 (can’t remember), when clearly RJJ was finished and J had plenty left in the tank….. Same ages but different career planes. The same could be said of Mike TYSON, who was world champion in 1987 whilst LENNOX LEWIS won the Olympics in 1988 and they didn’t meet until TYSON was more done than the Christmas Turkey. Similar ages but different career paths. LEWIS on the upswing and TYSON plummeting into obscurity!

Bradley took too much punishment in Pado fight. And Manny already beat him 2 years ago. On the other hand Manny is on decline. And Bradley is among top 5 p4p. So very difficult to predict the outcome f this fight. But I should pick Bradley by ud., I guess. Manny is too old now to outfight Bradley. But a Manny win would be spectacular for boxing, this is another thing.

The Bradley first fight with Pacman, Bradley won by forfeit! Pacman took a long time to come out of his dressing room and that’s why the three judges gave Bradley the win!

Manny spend his money like water! 20 Filipino side kicks he always bring up here in the USA just to accompany him fight in Vegas. All expense paid by Manny! I’m pretty sure all or most of his earnings just going to handouts to people who don’t deserve or care about him!

Foreman, Tyson, Holyfield the list goes on all got taken like Manny is getting right now, Uncle Sam is coming and aint a dam thing Manny can do besides keep fighting to try and pay but he has no big fights in his future, I bet that 40 million looks real good right now. Now how the hell is he the 2 highest paid boxer but is 70 million in back taxes that don’t add up. But I forgot he turned down 40 million because he has afraid of needles but he has tattoos I guess they were air brushed on. Manny is a wash the IRS is taking that 20 million with interest…

Posted March 20, 2014 2:58 am

Auzbox: with all his previous earnings he should have retire long time ago when he is on top! With IRSproblems here in the US and Philippines I’m pretty sure he is not ready and will squeeze every single cent he can make out of his superstar stardom even if he loses multiful times. That is not good for his legacy.

Posted March 20, 2014 2:56 am

Auzbox

Bradley is the 3rd best fighter on the planet if he beats him he kills Marquez. That’s if Marquez beats Alvarado first. Manny is retiring at the end of 2015 so once again your wrong he will fight 4 more times not 10. Write some facts once in a while it will do you some good

Posted March 20, 2014 2:53 am

Manny cannot afford to retire win or loose he must keep fighting to get out of debt. But the reality is he is not getting big money fights no mega fights on the horizon either. Hell he is getting 20 million to fight Bradley but my the time he pays out all the crabs he probably will have to fork the whole thing over to the IRS. Manny will never leave Arum he is a humble ignorant immigrant who continues to be exploited Manny already stated that he has to fight ten more times but my question is who is he going to fight? If he somehow survives Bradley he has Marquez 5 no way he beats both. He is destined to be punch drunk with slurred speech like so many of his predecessors before him like Ali fighting past his prime the key is to go out on top with all your faculties still in order.

Oh yeah! I love Pacquioa but it’s time for him to retire before he get KO or loss again. Retire a winner not a loser! His style and success comes from being agressive, fast and strong. Not so much in his ring IQ. He is getting old and it’s time for him to preserve his legacy if being one of the best!

Posted March 20, 2014 2:34 am

Pacquioa ring IQ is low! He’s gifted talent of power and speed is starting to go down because of his aging body. Pacman is now past his prime and now on the decline. He will loss again to Bradley and will be embarrassing time for all the Filipino people who idolize him. He should retire win or loss to preserve all the glory he has given to the Filipino people.

I was a Pacquiao fan before, but after the lost to the old man, past his prime, Marquez the fight that should be Knockout of the decade for the WBO Champion of the decade belt. I have lost respect for Pacman with his 3 KO’s in 3 different divisions, 5 lost, 2 draws, technically 7 losses. He’s a washed out almost legend, but best Asian boxer ever.

Arum has nothing to do with why Floyd won’t fight Pacquiao. Floyd negotiated in bad faith for the fight for over five years. He just ran out of excuses so he invented another one. If it wasn’t Arum, it would be something else.

Arum is Mannys Jew master he is a puppet why the hell do you think everyone leaves top rape. Oscar, Floyd, Cotto and a host of others. Arum makes his fighters fight each other and not the biggest names out there. Manny is number 2 and Bradley is number 3 but this will not be a mega fight not even close. Manny will never face Floyd, Danny Garcia, Kahn, Miadana or Canelo. Only Marquez Bradley and Ruslan or some poor fool who Arum finds to move up like a Rios for example. He is irrelevant Floyd fights sell out Vegas without Manny. Hell his fight with Maidana will be huge on Chico de mayo. He Bradley vs, Manny wont crack 1 million. Manny Pacquiao is the same fighter today as he was back in 2009. He just took apart Brandon Rios, a former champion, and champions are hard to make. Manny has been such a powerful puncher and his aggressive fan friendly style is so entertaining and people thought that was all he could do. Wrong! Manny put on a clinic against Rios, and the crowd in attendance loved it because they appreciated watching a fighter transform himself from an aggressive knockout artist to a beautiful boxer that showcased his speed of hand and foot and his beautiful ring generalship and movement. This boxing exhibition was as artistic and poetic as never before. And as always, the naysayers take the opportunity to attack saying he can’t fight anymore, he’s lost his punch, killer instinct and he’s old. Manny of the same people thought he would never enter a boxing ring again after the Ped Man Marquez loss. Manny is a special person and boxer. Duran was knocked out by Hearns and he came back and won another title. Lenox Lewis was knocked out cold and he came back and did the same thing to Rahman. Manny Pacquiao will win this fight against Bradley and then get that coward of a man Marquez and brutally stop him once and for all. Manny Pacquiao may have put on the most artistic boxing exhibition ever seen, but that doesn’t mean he can’t resort back to being the destructive knock out artist he was a few years ago. Manny Pacquiao will beat anyone from 140-160. Trust me on this. You’re about to see a legend do a few special things in the ring. First we start off with Bradley. Manny is the best.

Point being people have short term memory. Azzbox and all Manny has is his past. How great he was in 09 and yes fighters were fooled into making weight and he smoked them but since then what has he done. I guess Rios was a credible fighter? What a joke he hasn’t done nothing and Roach is talking out his ass he promised pacroid would KO Marquez he ended up getting dropped he also said he would stop Rios didn’t happen. Talk is cheap and BS runs a marathon he needs to let his boys actions speak for him. Manny climbed 5 divisions and gained speed and power not only that he could take shot from bigger fighter not in the history of the sport has anyone did that and since he is not superman you do the math, He was a juiced up bastard who will never submit to Olympic style testing if Arum couldn’t manipulate it.

Anonymous my friend, I had to do a lot of saving up for airfare, hotel accommodations, and tickets a little over $1400. I will be wearing full Manny Pacquioa attire with Manny signed cross fit shoes. Trust me, you won’t miss me if you look hard enough. Hopefully Pacquiao will let me be a part of their extensive entourage. This fight will do huge PPV numbers easily surpassing Canelo’s and Mayweather’s fights even if Mayweather uses his under card fights as the sell. Las Vegas is jumping already. There’s excitement in the air and we’re just a little over 3 weeks away. Los Angeles seems to have grown by the thousands as Manny Pacquiao fans have swarmed the streets. That earthquake that happened yesterday was most likely due to Manny’s fans running to catch up with the king of boxing. The man not only changes the world, but can move it. The sport of boxing comes alive every so often when a special fighter makes his entrance. In this case as it’s been for the last 10-12 years, Manny Pacquiao is bringing back the pure, refreshing, excitement of a championship boxing match. Let me remind many of you that Mayweather’s fights have people leaving and booing. Canelo’s fans boo and throw beers at him. Now, when fans attend Manny Pacquiao fights, the cheers and smiles lighten the arena up because all the fans teeth are sparkling white. Trust me, this fight will break the current loudest indoor noise record to date. Forget the Seattle Seahawks outdoor record, this is Manny Mania. The day to day update on Manny’s training and sparring is quite scary. Manny is hurting these guys. Sparring partners are coming by the dozen on a weekly basis. The media has surrounded the Famous Wild Card Gym as if it were the White House. We are witnessing history as I write this post. Manny Pacquiao is boxing’s only 8 division boxing Mega Star, and there’s no one that can match him for popularity and excitement. He is regarded by most as the greatest fighter of all time. He has beaten everyone. Today’s current, past, and future great champions admire and respect Manny Pacquiao. This is a living legend that has graced us with his phenomenal boxing abilities. Manny Pacquiao is not only the Fighter of The decade, but he will be Fighter of the Millennium once he beats Bradley, destroys Ped Man Marquez and badly beats up on Floyd if he dare step in the ring with the greatest fighter of our time and of all time. No one beats Manny Pacquiao when he’s motivated and focused. No one. Trust me on this, Manny is a machine on a mission and he will not be denied. Manny is the best!

Bradley went toe to toe with Ruslan and Manny before so he is no push over. Manny has more to prove than anyone Floyd is on top but in order to be the best you have to beat the best and he walked away from the fight now he is stuck to fighting Marquez and Bradley over and over. You nutthuggers Hecdog and azzbox will continue to cry….

an Pacific Park in Los Angeles was the selected site for Manny Pacquiao’s celebrated running and conditioning morning routine. Manny Pacquiao appears to be in the best shape of his life as the lean muscle mass is sprouting throughout the legends body. As usual, an enormous crowd, which appeared to look like thousands of fans kept watch on what seemed like a few hours just to catch a glimpse of the legendary only 8 division boxing champion. Los Angeles has never experienced this kind of attention. The Rodney King riots come close, but this event is a positive one that gives people the opportunity to witness arguably the greatest fighting machine boxing has ever produced. LA seems to have become the 8th wonder of the world as fans from all across the city attempt to make their way to Manny Pacquiao. The city has taken the necessary precautions to keep traffic under control, but fans seem to find a way to Pan Pacific Park. Under ground tunnels are currently being investigated as possible routes being used by fans to to the park. Manny Pacquiao was also rumored to have made his way during the day to City Hall. Rumors were circulating that he may be receiving keys to the city, which is always the case when Manny pays a visit to all cities in the country. Manny Pacquiao is more than just an icon and hero to people. He’s an artist painting his own picture with his explosive fists. News of Manny training in the world famous Wild Card Gym continues to bring in the stars of entertainment and the sports world. Singing legend Bob Marley was one of the fortunate knowledgeable fans that paid Manny a visit and was treated to an amazing display of boxing as Manny sparred a couple of sparring partners. Manny showcased his explosive power and speed as he opened up boxing’s largest display of pulverizing combinations leaving his sparring partners bloodied and confused. This is a fighter that is becoming more brutal as the fight date nears. Timothy Bradley has been warned. This is a new Manny Pacquiao on a mission to get back his stolen title belt. The fast hands, the agile body movement, the sharp shooting punches and the deceptive smile that Manny wears inside the squared circle is a sign of a lion waiting to take on his next challenger. Only the strong survive in the animal world, and in boxing. Manny sees his next prey, and the stalking has begun. We’re less than a month away before boxing’s most historical and meaningful fight becomes a reality. The MGM will be a site to see on April 12th. This will seem like a home coming of sorts as the venue will be packed with 99% Pacquiao fans. I would assume most of them including myself will be wearing the best selling shoe of all time, the Manny PAcquiao Nike Lunar TR1 shoe with brilliant blue, red, yellow and white colors. The arena will shine like a rainbow as we all stand up in excitement every time Manny lands those bombs. I highly suggest everyone coming to this once in a life time event bring some bring some sun glasses. Manny Mania is here again. Manny is the best!

At his best Margarito was an aggressive high volume puncher who never let an opponent off the hook. … Pacquiao too was known for his relentless aggression and unbelievable stamina. … U wud guess Floyd’s efficient, slick, counter punching style would b vulnerable to being out-hustled over 12 rounds against two boxers like this, right? … Mayweather decides who Mayweather fights. Yet despite much public demand these two fights never happened.

Auzbox – That was before Margacheato’s treacherous ways were exposed. There is no way a plodding, wide looping puncher could pose any threat to a defensive master like Mayweather. Margacheato is only effective through cumulative punches over rounds, and Mayweather is much too fast and slick to stand in front of such an unskilled crude fighter

“. . . the photo that Cotto had enlarged and provided on Face Off, the unnatural and gross swelling of Cotto’s face, the sickening thudding sound of Margacheato’s punches . . .” blah-blah-blah. first of all, Tony’s face was equally swollen and Cotto’s face looked worst after he faced Pacquiao*. i also recall a lack of “thud” to Margarito’s punches. he was never considered to be a “thudding” puncher and his defeat of Cotto didn’t alter his established profile as a big, tough, and unrelenting puncher. as far as the photo(?), looked like some stringy lint to me. it was also provided by Cotto who lied about his corner not inspecting Margarito’s handwraps, which NSAC commissioner Kizer confirmed otherwise. so which was it? an incompetent or corrupt Cotton corner? spare me your boo-boo-lipped histrionics and answer a serious question related to your serious(?) accusation. unless you can’t.

“Oscar was a shell of himself. Yes that was his fault for coming in at the weight he came in at but that was still a shell of himself.” – Agreed. The Oscar who fought Pacquiao hadn’t fought at 147 in half a decade. He should’ve learned from Ray Leonard who did the same for his bout with Terry Norris. Another parallel is both Ray and Oscar thought they had easy pickings. Norris at the time was viewed as chinny and Pacquiao a blown up featherweight. Both were wrong and both got their asses handed to them. As a longtime fan of both Ray and Oscar those nights were sad ones.

@Stan, on the outside he is because Pacs speed=power, but on the inside he not a heavy puncher at Ww. Hatton is chinny and so is Cotto. Pac caught Mosley with a fast punch behind the ear, but he still got up and lasted the distance. Pac probably hits a little bit harder than Floyd. Peej were talking about fight effort not punches landed, if you were weight drain you can not throw your punch average that you do every fight, Oscar punch average is about 600 punches thrown each fight. So he made his effort or thrown his 640 punch average. The missing is another her thing.
But you can comparison between Floyd and Oscar fight stats, is very close Sam punch average almost 600 , and Floyd 400 and Floyd having more connection. So it’s very logical.

Roach publicly-declared that the primary reason he approved of the DLH v. Pacquiao* matchup was because he was convinced that DLH was “Shot” and could “no longer pull the trigger” and this was beFore negotiating the weight-drain and rehydration clause. Roach also described watching DLH trying to rehydrate with IV needles on the day of the fight confirming Team Pacquiao’s* own “desired result”: a DLH who weighed less than Manny* on fight-night. there is simply no sense in trying to claim that DLH was a prime or competitive opponent the night Pacquiao* defeated him. Roach publicly guaranteed it.

People will post the compbox saying this person won because he landed 103 punches and the other only landed 40 yet the other guy beat you for 3 round while you only won one.

TARK, I agree with you re Maidana also. I watched his fight with Soto-Karrass and he used that fight to work on some defensive skills, which whilst subtle impressed me. Since his loss to Alexander he has added subtle head movement, tightened his defence and become less gung-HO and more cute and accurate with his offence. The Maidana who beat the taller, rangier, Karass would surely have finished Khan if he had him hurt as he did in the 10th of their barn-burner.
With each fight Maidana has shown me some serious improvements and he is at least 25-30% better than the man who lost to both Khan and Alexander, which may have been his first fight at 147, a weight he is more comfortable at. I’m not so bothered with his fight with Broner although that is a good barometer, I’m looking at his progress in the fights with Karass and Josesito Lopez before it.
Maidana can go all night, is not likely to be discouraged and has tightened up against hooks to his body and has developed a cute, disguised jab.
I actually think he will give a good performance vs Floyd and if age has got to him things will be even more interesting on May 3rd.

Even if Pacman losses to Bradley again, Pacman can still whoop Floyd azz. Bradley is a hard working boxer who throw a lot of punches where Mayweather is a defensive fighter first and wait for openings. Bradley loves to duke it out! He is tough and throw a lot. Unlike Floyd he just hate to get hit and will settle for a jabs as long as he landed more than his opponents event if he only throw 10 jabs. That’s Floyd!

TARK writes

Pacquiao HAS to beat a massively motivated Bradley … If Pac loses the Floyd fight is probably gone forever… If he can’t beat Bradley, he was never going to beat Floyd anyway.

Now Bradley…

Nobody would think it—but Bradley might give Floyd problems.. Cotto is very short and gave Floyd issues.. It was Cotto’s short, slick jab thrown from his tight stance — it wasn’t easy for Floyd to pick up..

Bradley jabs nice too, and his arms are even shorter… and if Tim can stay close he also has that looping overhand right—the one that Lamont Peterson, Devon Alexander, and Junior Witter couldn’t handle at all. It catches taller fighters in the temple. It doesn’t KO you, but it racks up points.

Maidana has an arching right hander too. He bashed Broner with it… I’m interested in seeing if he can lay any of those on Floyd.

Posted March 19, 2014 1:13 pm

See, TARK. We can agree on some things.
I agree that Bradley could give Floyd a great contest. It’s a pity his urge to to get a legitimate win over Pac is more than his urge to test Mayweather and now he has signed to TR and if he wins will rematch Marquez and may never get to match up with Mayweather.

Kato3388: just my guess because Ariza is out of the picture. But I’m pretty sure Bradley will out work and with stood Pacmans best shots! Bradley has proven that he has a strong chin an excellent work ethic in and out the ring. This is how he beat his opponents by out working out landing them on a toe to toe brawl. Mayweather beat his opponents in points by hitting more than he received and he do it with great defence. Bradley will get hit two power shots and will take them well and in return he dishes out 5 connect punches that wins the round. Bradley will beat Pacman. That’s make take that’s where I’m betting my money on.

Look at Pac vs any boxer and not Pac vs slow come forward plodding fighters. He doesn’t land those same combos. There is a reason he didn’t fight Guzman, or had trouble with Morales when he got boxed by him or had trouble with Marquez all those times. Its easy to fire off combinations when you are faster than someone and all they do is walk a straight line.

I like Bradley, but he doesn’t have the talent Pacquiao has. Go back and watch the Pac vs Margarito fight. Pac hit Margarito with every punch of a 6 punch combination, and Margarito had his guard up the entire time. Watch what Pac did to Cotto. Bradley is game, but he is in way over his head. Why do you think little floyd avoids Pacquiao?.

@HAVOC… when have u ever seen Manny gas out?

Tim Bradley is a decent fighter. He was given a gift even he kows in his heart he did not deserve… When Max Kellerman asked him after the fight if he truly thought he one the 1st fight, Tim’s answer was, he’ll have to go back and watch the tape…. Ummmmmmmmm… wrong answer Tim. He knew he didn’t win the fight… I had it 8 – 4.

Here’s another funny excuse, Tim had two bad ankles… Yea, after he got popped, he surely tweaked and sprained his ankles, but that was because Manny caught him good. Tim is a tough warrior, and that’s why he was still standing. But he knew he lost the fight.

Pan Pacific Park in Los Angeles was the selected site for Manny Pacquiao’s celebrated running and conditioning morning routine.

Don’t u just love these Anonymous posters?!?!?!?

Pacman, was on the verge of decimating JMM, before the hayemaker got him. It’s OK, lots of fighters have been KO’ed before. Like Uncle Roger said about Ricky Hatton, “undefeated don’t mean $#!T, just means you haven’t fought everyone yet”.

Please get off this Pacman’s not in Maytwitters league. We won’t know cause Floyd won’t fight the guy. 4 years of finding the right excuses. First, was drug testing, that became a non-issue. Then it was purse split, Floyd won’t budge on that.. 45/45 and the winner gets the other 10%. Sounds fair to me. Now it’s, Floyd won’t do business with Bob Arum. Business is business, you think Donald Trump would pass up 100 Million dollars, just because he doesn’t like the guy on the other side of the table??? Riiiiiiight!!!!!!

The only fighter who could be in Floyd’s league is Manny. But he’s being avoided worse than the plague. Why is that? But Manny’s IRS problems aside, Floyd had IRS problems too, Floyd had jail problems, now an upcoming issue may force Floyd to fight Manny. Gotta do anything now to keep his butt outta jail. Maybe a judge could make that a stipulation, Floyd has to fight Manny in order not to do jail time…. LOL. j/k… innocent until proven guilty, even for Fraud Maytwitter…

I had Ali winning the first Frazier fight 8 to 7. They were still scoring rounds in those days. Under the 10-point must system I would have given Frazier 2-point rounds in the 11th and 15th and had him winning.

Ali was wide open for left hooks. He had the perfect style for a short left hooker like Frazier. Amos Johnson was another slick left hooker. He beat the Hell out of Ali in the Pan Am Trials… Johnson almost got a fight with Ali in the pros too… Amos was a very small heavyweight–but he out-hooked Henry Cooper with ease, decked him, and beat him every round.. However, Ali fought Cooper instead of Johnson.. Then Amos got robbed on a DQ vs Brian London—which was a sick joke—and Ali fought London.. Johnson was down in the dumps about it.

Johnson fell apart after that. His career went south faster than that January snow storm.

Bulawayo – I think Frazier had him beat in the rubber match as well, but was forced to retire due to his eye. One eye was closed and the other he could not see out of, a fact that he hid most of career. But I do think Jack Johnson would of defeated Ali. As I said, Johnson was much better defensively and did not take as much punishment as Ali, despite having more fights.

Anonymous,
You’ve got to start using punctuation, in a previous post you had Ali as a white man, a couple of comma’s would have made some sense.
I think Ali was without doubt the best heavyweight ever, however greatest boxer ever, there were several fighters at smaller weights better than him.
Also thought Frazier beat him in the second fight, Ali held a lot and kept leaning on his neck, Frazier lost his main weapon to a very dirty Ali. The ref let him get away with murder.

News Flash – “then go on to beat Marquez”. I’m not sure they’ll ever get Marquez in the ring again with Manny. That was the bittersweet laurel and highlight of his career, and I don’t think Marquez will risk that again, especially after three frustrating fights with Manny that left Marquez angry. I think Marquez knows he got lucky, because Manny was battering him around the ring until that haymaker. Manny like a true sportsman gave Marquez three rematches, but I’m not sure Marquez would do the same. They’d have to throw a lot of money at Marquez.

Bradley would never trade with a puncher like Provodnikov again… Tim said, “Yeah man, that was stupid…but the smart learn from stupid. I won’t do that again” … He boxed Marquez all the way and will be boxing his ass off against Pacquiao. He’s not going to give Pac a thing.

Joe Frazier tried to box Foreman in their 2nd fight… Joe was never a boxer, but WTF else was he going to try? He was getting murdered every second of their 1st fight.

Tim has very short arms and a steel head, much like Frazier, so it’s natural for him to get close and throw. However when he’s fighting short guys like Provo, Pacman, and JMM he can box well enough to be effective. He has to change it up because of his so-so punching power.

It’s a matter of who brings the most intensity. This will be a great fight—because Pac and Tim will be the two most zoned in and intense athletes you’ve ever seen perform for 36 minutes.. I still think Pac has an edge. But Roach has to keep his big yapping mouth shut for Pac to win.

Peej – Ali did struggle with Frazier before the Parkinson years. In fact, it was the Frazier trilogy that gave him Parkinson’s. Those fights were brutal. And Ali did receive gift decisions against Norton and Young. Once Ali discovered he could take a punch, he stopped all the fast fleet-footed movement, and that’s what ultimately did him in. Much like Tyson lost his D’Amato/Rooney head movement.

Ali was never knocked out and he was only stopped at the end of his career when he was old and way past it and clearly had signs of Parkinson.

Ali was put flat on his back by Frazier. He was also stopped. Ali also received gift decisions with the Norton and Jimmy Young bouts. And if Frazier’s eye hadn’t closed in their rubber match, Ali would of lost again. Frazier had his number.

You probably won’t find Floyd asleep because he is a defensive fighter and very cautious. Pac is a warrior. Floyd was rocked by Mosley and bloodied by Cotto. Pac steamrolled these guys. The reason Pac was KOed is because he was heavily criticized for having three close fights with Marquez. So he wanted to make a statement this time and pressed the action against Marquez. He took a chance and got caught by a lucky shot. Nevermind the fact he had already dropped Marquez before that and was battering a broken-nosed Marquez around the ring.

Ko’s and stoppages over the elite of boxing—Morales, Barrera, Marquez, Cotto, Mosley, Hatton, de la Hoya—-that’s a bum’s resume alright. Pac even got to some of these opponents before Mayweather did and dispatched them much more quickly and impressively than Floyd did.

Pac needs to get his killer instinct back and go flat out against Bradley. Its almost like the judges punished him for not stopping Bradley. Its a shame about Pac’s recent two losses because it gives his detractors much ammo, but in reality he was winning against both Bradley and Marquez before being KOed and getting a bogus decision, and this streak of bad luck really overshadowed what a great, dynamic fighter he is. If those two losses did not psychologically damage him and he can regain his greatness, Pac can rise again. Taking a 12 round beating is much worse than suffering a one punch KO, and so far Pac has not taken a beating. Good luck.

Both of these guys will box each other for 12 rounds. Pac has resorted to plain out boxing on 2 occasions in recent years. His last fight vs Rios and when he delivered the carbon copy boxing lesson to David Diaz in his only try out at Lightweight. Bradley boxed and boxed and boxed some more vs Marquez and will do the same vs Pac. I think this will be fascinating, but ultimately boring for the masses but for the purists it wil be incredibly interesting to see who can keep their nerve and hold their fight plan together. There may be some odd skirmishes in the first quarter of the fight, but they will soon settle down to the old cat and mouse game of punch, counterpunch. The questions on people’s minds are can Pac box for 3 minutes of a round still and can Tim really keep this fight on the outside for 12. I think he’s more comfortable in close, but will be walking into traps set by Pac. I would be surprised if Pac goes gung-HO looking for the KO, but he is cute enough to lure Bradley in, but I think He learned from Providnikov and will not bite and stick to the fight plan, unless he is clearly behind after 6 or 7 stanzas.

Bradley to win by UD. Manny has done nothing of significance in the last few years and didn’t have the killer instinct against Brandon Rios in his last fight, so what makes Roach think he will have it in this fight. Manny struggles against counter punches and Bradley injured his ankles in the first fight so I believe will be more mobile in this one. My view on the first fight was that Manny started off fast and sharp and Bradley was surprised by his speed and power but in the second half of the fight Manny took his foot off the gas for whatever reason and Bradley was allowed back into the fight. I was not surprised when the judges gave it to Bradley as I had some rounds close and Bradley winning most of the second half of the fight but only coz Manny slowed dramatically.

Bradley won’t stop Pacquiao, but he did stop Alexander, a clever southpaw… Tim completely dominated Nate Campbell, another southpaw — and Tim went 12 rounds with Pacquiao with two painfully swollen ankles. I heard Tim was doing roadwork on some rough terrain to toughen up. To do something extra for Pacman. It messed his ankles up slightly and he wasn’t 100%.

One thing you don’t want to do as a trainer—something I think is incredibly stupid — is motivate the opposing boxer with an undying passion to beat your guy — as if he life depends on it, because of your verbal putdowns.

The groundhog comment is that type of motivation Bradley needs.. The remark was rude, cocky, dismissive, stupid, ignorant, and arrogant.. If I hear something like that from the opposing trainer it hardens my resolve into concrete.. It’s like saying, “Everybody knows Pac beats this pathetic sucker.”

If the wrong judges are picked again, you just dug a hole for Pacman to climb out of… If Tim can beat Marquez, he can beat Pacquiao… If he can win an extra round or two during the rematch, just do a little better, you don’t know what the judges will do.

Bradley is fast, he can move, he can box and most of all he has a granite chin! Pacman better be careful of going for the KO and get careless. Bradley will hit the same bullseye like Marquez did! If I’m Pacman just go with winning in points and protecting his chin rather than beating up a granite chin who has speed and work ethic of a real hard working boxer! Bradley don’t have to hit Pacman with one lucky punch but Bradley can with 10 power shots in the same area where Marquez KO Pacman. This is the end of Pacman!

Damm all of the fight is a long way off this fight is April 20 something? Floyd in may, cotto fight is when? And I think the first fight IS paulie and Shawn its in about just over a month I heard. Still can’t wait.

Anybody who thinks that Tim can’t KO Pac, should stop right then & there commenting about Boxing & move on to something more suitable like roller skating…

in fact, I predicted a Bradley KO when the fight was first announced; Tim is a better boxer than Pac. Manny is a better puncher but he’s predictable with his spastic jumping in-punching & out bit & an elite fighter like Tim can easily time him & disrupt him & he will. Pac won’t survive Tim & I’m betting on it.

Boxing Maddness

Meaning the last time he fought marquez

Boxing Maddness

First- if Bradley fight this fight the same way he fought, boxing and moving, countering and picking his spots carefully. It should a close but clear decision for Bradley.
Second- I think Bradley learned from the first fight and the fight with Prov that he doesn’t have the power to sit in the pocket and exchange if he doesn’t have to, he’s not KOing PAC.
Third- you must remember in the first fight PAC threw everything at him in the first 6 rounds and it wasn’t enough to get him out of there. Bradley did better the second half of the fight with bad feet.
Fourth- PAC is not any better now than he was 2 years ago, his style hasn’t changed, he’s been ktfo and he threw the kitchen sink and a punching bag in rios moving up and weight and still couldn’t get him out of there. Bradley is going to tax that a!?

Mike Tyson

Ok largo got you, and remember what I said just now.

Trust me you will see the old style of PAC as his Oscar and cotto fight, manny will not stay and trade anymore, he do his attack 1-4 punches and slip out again, in the beginning, till he got Bradley hurt then he finish Bradley , that was PAC old style. Then aziza wanted PAC to stay inside and exchange as no body can out exchange manny,

In order to win with Floyd PAC has to return to this old boxing style. This is what you see, and how a Bradley ko is possible. Good fight as long as Bradley in the game.

Isn’t roach like 2~6 last eight fights?lol

I have Bradley by stoppage because Pac’s coming all guns blazing for the KO & that will get him stopped like it did against Marquez. Bradley is a genuine elite fighter & when he comes to box, he can outbox anybody-he outboxed Marquez ffs & was 2 or 3 hard shots away from stopping Provo…he’s licking his chops at the prospect of Manny looking for the KO because like me, he wants to see how that chin holds up after been cracked in such a devastating fashion by Marquez. You guys can keep speculating all you want about Floyd/Pac, I, however, don’t see him getting past little Tim…I predict the conversation will be Floyd/Bradley; don’t forget i’m the first & only one predicting that at this moment.

Yep PAC got his mojo back, seen his we style of jumping one leg right in from of the pad holder and kneeing the pad, damm PAC has his explosive power back he was high and he kneeing the pad is the same level that could take out Bradley with a knee to the jaw. Also seen rio fight PAC will out punch Bradley he has that old rhythm punching back. Only Floyd and manny can improvise punches in real time. Easily PAC out punch Bradley 3-1 and Bradley in his last two fight has dropped the left as Martinez and Floyd. Bad move as PAC will follow you, or counter to that unprotected side.

Hey B-Red, I think I’ll weight tell the weigh in to make my pick. I’m leaning towards Pac, right now though.

WHAT!?!

I am worried for Bradley’s health in this one. Pacquiao will be wanting to have no controversy in this one. Bradley’s instincts to mix it up when he gets tired will kick in from round 7. He will get hit a lot, often and hard. Pacquiao will emerge victorious and I hope the ref is ready to stop an unnecessary beating, because Bradley is a tough guy who will stay standing until he dies. Pacquiao TKO Rnd 10. Ref stops it.

poor pacturds – so manny was knocked out by a hook was he? do you even realise you just exposed yourself as moron?

Posted March 18, 2014 10:51 pm

Poor pacturds

Manny got KTFO no peds just a hook that almost decapitated his ass. He is the one who will never submit to the proper testing that’s why he walked away from Floyd in 09. Roach needs to shut up and let his boys hands do the talking Manny hasn’t done crap since 09 and no one even pays to see his bouts these days. Manny has a lot to prove and if he does somehow stop Bradley he will be juiced to the gills…

“Give Pacquiao Olympic Style Testing and I bet he pisses PURE FILTH!” – He did random VADA testing for the Rios bout. Pac tested clean Rios was dirty. Your point?

Roach says Pac’s footwork and power are already looking good in sparring. Who’s in his camp and who’s he sparring? Also is there the usual bounty where if a dude drops Pac he gets paid?

Mayweather has already tested positive, covered up.

Bradley will have to do more this time to win. If he does do more he’s going to be open for more of Manny’s punches. Although both guys could be be less resilient this time around, Manny’s power will probably be the difference if they stand and trade. However, if Tim circles to his left, and jabs and counters all night Manny could once again have a hard time getting his punches off. That’s easier said than done though…

Bradley made Pac man miss a lot of punches the last fight…but rose colored glasses are rose colored….and listening to commentators instead of turning off the sound is second hand opinion forming, instead of using the two issued eyes.

That Russian fella cured Bradley of trying to punch it out instead of boxing. I expect a close fight.
Do turn off the sound.

“Manny hit him so hard it broke both his ankles.” If you don’t think about that statement, it’s almost believable.

I thought Roach had said …

“If see something in Manny’s training where I decide he should retire … then we will stop”

So, which is it?

Is Manny on the verge of retirement — or is he going to be spectacular.

“Bradley says he fought Manny last time with two bad feet.”

No, Bradley ended up with two bad feet because Pac made him run so hard he damaged both of them.
