Odd Ball

What Roach said was when Pac loses to Bradley for the second time, it wasn`t his training to blame. It wasn`t because Bradley is better than Pac. It was because of Pac`s visitors. Nothing surprising there. Pac never lose. He was KTFO to kingdom-come by Marquez and what did the Flips say? Pac was winning on points before the KO. ROFL ROFL.

Anonymous my friend, I understand that Bruce Lee was quite an iconic figure that was a very inspirational man. He frequently participated in many spectacular exhibitions. I was and still am a big fan of his. Manny Pacquiao has so many similarities. As a matter of fact, Manny looks up to the legendary martial artist. I merely brought up the possibility of Manny Pacquiao fighting Bruce Lee in a imaginary fight. I know this would never happen, but the mere thought peeked my interest. I without bias went into deep thought about this match up and came up with a conclusion. Manny destroys him and hits Bruce Lee with his own one inch punch and sends him 20 feet down the road. Manny is faster, stronger and is a trained fighter. Manny is one of those rare breed of fighters that defeats any fighter in any era. And Manny Pacquiao actually started this breed. This is a man that will undoubtedly be studied for his extraordinary skills in the art of fighting. Manny Pacquiao could have dominated any sport he chose to be involved in. He’s a great athlete, and his intelligence inside and outside is incredible to see. Remember when he slowly dissected and destroyed another great fighter, Miguel Cotto or how about Oscar De La Hoya. This is greatness in the flesh. 8 division champion is unheard of in any sport. Imagine Bruce Lee moving up 8 weight classes? Impossible to do, and Many did the impossible. I won’t even mention his other accomplishments, which I have mentioned in previous posts. Manny is a Marvel when it comes to the sweet science. There has never been a fighter that can match Manny’s reign of terror as he fought and not only beat, but devastated an army of great fighters. Morales, Barrera, Marquez, Hatton, Diaz, Cotto, De La Hoya and Margarito. There was mass hysteria as the accumulation of bodies left the squared circle after having stepped into the ring with Manny Pacquiao. Today, the legend is just as popular and as effective as he was back in 2009. The brilliant, strategic boxing exhibition he displayed against Brandon Rios was one for the ages. No one in the history of this great sport has ever been able to change from a destructive, aggressive, power punching monster to a poetic, graceful, strategically brilliant, technically sound pure boxer like Manny Pacquiao did. Once again, this was greatness right in front of our eyes. Macau China is still reeling with amazement and appreciation for Manny Pacquiao. Los Angeles has been feverishly insisting that Manny Pacquiao continue to train in the city of angels for one more week. The Los Angeles Times has been following Manny almost on a minute to minute basis. Las Vegas is rolling out more than one red carpet just in case Manny comes from another direction. Sin City is alive and well, and eagerly anticipating their favorite son’s return. The greatest fighter that has ever lived will be put on display for the world to see on April 12th. My tickets were bought the first day. This is the most historic fight in boxing history. I will be watching live a man that will never be duplicated again. Manny Pacquiao will win his title back in dominating fashion. Trust me on this. Manny is the best.

Legendary boxer Manny Pacquiao reacquainted himself with the Wild Card gym after taking a few days off due to a cold that most athletes could not have come back from in such a short period of time. This is Manny Pacquiao at his best. No one or nothing can stop him when he is 100% focused on his profession. Los Angeles has been the fortunate city to house the top P4P fighter in boxing today. As is customary during his training in Los Angeles, Manny Pacquiao continued to run at Griffith Park, which led his legion of his adoring fans to bring their cameras, camcorders, tape recorders and many of them even brought their camping gear with hopes of possibly having an encounter with Manny himself. Manny Pacquiao is constantly treated like royalty everywhere he appears. Somehow he is able to not get distracted and handles all of his responsibilities daily. Manny Pacquiao interestingly enough did have an idol of sorts. Bruce Lee. I often wonder about the similarities between them. Both small in stature, powerful, blinding speed and the aura of invincibility. Both had magnetic personalities that made them bigger than life. If both of these giants ever had to compete against each other, the world just might end. If I had to make a choice, which would be very difficult, I would take Manny by first round knockout. I mean no disrespect to Bruce Lee, but Manny Pacquiao would simply be too much. Freddie Roach made a few brief comments regarding Manny and his return to the gym. He was ecstatic to see the same form, power and speed that he’s been seeing in Manny for the last month. Timothy bradley is in serious trouble, and i don’t think he really believes he should be in the same ring with Manny Pacquiao. The same goes for Mayweather, Broner, Garcia, Canelo, Porter Marquez and Thurman. None of these guys want to take the first shot at Manny so they all have tickets to the fight and are anxiously awaiting as all boxing fans are to see Manny Pacquiao return. This fight is bigger than the NCAA College Basketball Tournament. In this fight, one and you’re done applies. There is no second chances, and the loser may have lost his career for good. During the second Rocky movie, as I have mentioned in a past post. Apollo was yelling at Rocky in the gym while they were sparring and Rocky wasn’t throwing back. Apollo yelled “There is no tomorrow, there is no tomorrow, there is no tomorrow, there is no tomorrow.” And those words speak directly to both Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley today. The Dessert Storm cannot and will not match up with the Hurricane that is Manny Pacquiao. The pressure is on. The bright lights are beaming. Center stage is where both combatants will be at on April 12th. Timothy Bradley felt Manny’s power last time. Freddie said that power actually broke both of his ankles. This time around, Manny Pacquiao will brutally stop Timothy Bradley, and the world will know why Manny Pacquiao is considered the greatest fighter to have ever lived. Trust me on this, no beats Manny Pacquiao when he’s motivated and focused, no one. Manny is the best!

an absolute mob scene is unfolding in Manila today. it was recently reported that no less a ring-legend than Juan Manuel Marquez the Greater has declared his intention to run for President of the Phillipines in 2016. his campaign slogan: “Get Crackin!” Pinoys worldwide are expressing their enthusiastic support for Superman Marquez. traffic in Manila is at a virtual standstill. a “state of emergency” has been declared just to handle the 100s of millions marching to Manila from all over the Phillipines to throw their support behind Marquez who calmed the situation by graciously rejecting an offer from Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III to step down immediately in favor of Marquez. Jinkee has publicly stated that her vote is up for grabs if it comes down to a choice between Marquez and Manny*. “I don’t want to see Manny* be seriously hurt by Marquez ever again. Juan is NO Joke. I-Know.” at this very moment, Marquez is leading masses of Pilipinos through the streets of the Pilipino capitol in a show of “People Power” that hasn’t been seen since the days of Corazon Aquino. Marquez is Greater.

Anonymous my friend, I do forgive you for saying those things. Don’t take things so serious as I’ve told others. Someone wants to put a scope on me, someone wants me to fall off a cliff and you want me to hurry up and kill myself. My God what has this world come to. Manny is my favorite fighter and I enjoy writing about him. I’m a fan, and that’s all. Luckily as I was reading your post, I was listening to the Manny Pacquiao song “Pound for Pound” by the Trackrunners, which had me in high spirits. I was swinging away inside my office as my co-workers were huddled near a window looking somewhat bewildered and laughing. Thank God there are still some people that can relax and laugh. Manny Pacquiao popularity is incredible. I keep saying this because every day he has success is something different. Today I heard he was also gearing up for a senate position. Please people just look at this man’s accomplishments. First ever and only 8 division boxing champion. Accomplished Actor, Singer, Model, Congressman and Athlete. The most sought after athlete and hero in our era. One of only two prize fighters to ever lace the cover of Ring Magazine. One of the most influential people in history. Invited to the White House by President Obama and was asked for advice by our President. Helped pass a human trafficking law that will elevate the level of punishment for those involved in that horrific crime. I can go on and on, but there seems to be no end as to Manny’s success in life and the good he does. The fighting Filipino Soldier carries on with honor, respect, appreciation, love and humility as God continues to make his path. Manny Pacquiao continues to mystify the world. Trust me, Manny’s ring career is only beginning, and his life career as a servant of God will live on forever through others he touched. Manny is the best!

Manny Pacquiao is classified by boxing fans around the world as an ATG, and that goes without question. The vast majority of them regard him as the greatest fighter of all time. Manny himself will not claim either. He is a man with dignity and humility. He neither boasts or brags. I was watching Timothy Bradley on a news clip the other day and was bothered tremendously, and even today I’m somewhat shook up by words that came out of his mouth. He was speaking to the commentator telling everyone that he would not lose this fight. He then said the unthinkable. “Manny will have to kill me to beat me.” I am a man of peace as is Manny Pacquiao. Manny Pacquiao is already considered an assassin type of fighter inside the squared circle. He takes people out as a hit man does. I truly want Timothy Bradley to apologize and take those chilling words back. This is a sport of gentlemen, and hurting someone to that extent is unfathomable. Timothy Bradley’s mouth is creating a dangerous environment for him. First he says that Manny has lost his killer instinct, there goes that word again. He continues to say he won the first fight. It’s one thing after another, and finally he says he’ll have to be killed to lose. Manny’s beautiful wife Jinkee has stated that she will not be coming to the fight due to her pregnancy. Their child is due in late April. This is a good move because the outcome of this fight will be horrific. Manny Pacquiao is more than just serious about this fight. I have heard through the grapevine that Manny has cancelled his sold out singing engagements in order to stay focused. This is a catch 22 situation because on one hand, he will stay 100% focused on the fight, and on the other, myself and thousands of other Manny fans just lost out on a concert that was rumored to a new string of unheard Manny songs that will go straight to the top of the charts. This is Manny’s time to revive the sports world and the entertainment world will have to wait for a brief moment. The movie “Manny” continues to receive great reviews. This is a must see movie that will enlighten your heart as you see the life of Manny Pacquiao unfold. This is an emotional roll coaster that will leave you in tears if you appreciate life and care about people. Directors from Hollywood have already started on a sequel. This is the greatness of Manny Pacquiao. Everything he touches turns to gold. The biggest fight in boxing history is only weeks away. I’ve been preparing for 3 months doubling my work load at the office on a daily basis. This has become a bit hectic, but worthwhile. We’re having a Manny Pacquiao victory party at my place 2 days before the fight. Boxing is alive and well, and you can give Manny Pacquiao all the credit. Los Angeles is a mad house, but Las Vegas will be an insane asylum when Manny Mania arrives, trust me on this. Manny is the best!

Nurse. I’ve been in sports and around athletes my whole life. They get sick. They get colds. They get the flu. Adamek got so sick he had to postpone his fight with Gazkov for about 6 weeks.

You try to keep athletes in camp and away from pollution and germs. That’s one of the main points of having a training camp, to keep them and their camp mates away from their wifes, children, or friends who might infect them with some cold or illness that’s going around, ahead of a super important fight.

Posted March 21, 2014 1:21 am

Manny has a cold wait stop the press its a national news flash lol. This is just another feeble attempt in the never ending saga to try and boost Mannys interests because he has none. Every other week its another statement about his training or them saying how he is going to destroy someone. Do you see Floyd or anyone else reporting BS every five minutes? Hell no Manny is irrelevant and Arum knows it so he is advising his puppets like Roach and Manny to say things in the media every week, But really who cares this fight will still be a wash except for his loyal ass lickers like Azzbox and Heck Mutt. Win or loose Mannys days are numbered even if he somehow wins he still has Marquez 5 he will not survive 2014 without another L.

Posted March 20, 2014 7:49 pm

I am a nurse

This for “D”- From the nurse— A trained athlete who has a trainer, specialized diet, supplements, and who is supposed to be in the best shape of his life, should not just catch a random cold. His body and immune system should be at peak performance. A-lot of times a cold/ flu is a catch phrase for something more serious, and is used to explain why an athlete is missing training days so close to a fight. If you would like to match wits with me on this subject it would be my pleasure- Your little come back provided no facts just your opinion that anyone can catch a cold. Well you are correct anyone can catch a cold, but it should be a lot harder for a athlete who is at the top of his physical forms, weeks away from a fight to catch a “cold”. This is a fact- Please provide a valid argument if you disagree and or stay the “F” off my nuts.

I really have to say one thing– Manny Paquiaos fans are insane– Please read the comment from insane Hecdog Posted March 20, 2014 1:42 pm. He actually thinks Bradley is sending over infected fans to contaminate Pac Man. Hecdog thinks that Bradley is utilizing biological warfare tactics secretly to get Pac sick before the fight. This is not normal thinking. Am I correct and or if it just me that thinks Pac Fans treat him more like a prize fighting roster than a man with intelligence and a brain. Hecdog please stop smoking the things that you are smoking, they are making you think way to deeply- no one is sending infected fans to Gym to get Pac sick with a cold.. This does not happen in the real world, only in Pacman Land.. Wake up Please.

I don’t know whether or not Pactards can see just how hypocritical they are….they were pissed when Floyd accused Pacquiao for cheating with NO proof, they urged Pacquiao to take legal action, yet, these same Pactards go on to accuse Marquez with NO proof? Crazy.

GTFOOH stupid. Anybody can catch a cold you idiot. You could live a lifetime in the Phillipines and come to America, only to catch an illness and die.

Anybody exposed to germs carried by anyone can get sick you moron.

Havoc – ALL Pactards say “Marquez cheated”, yet they have ZERO proof he did, but their allegations, to them, are proof enough. Funny how when Mayweather accused Pacquiao with no proof he was sued, and these Pactards were happy! But now, they’re doing the SAME THING Floyd did, accusing Marquez with ZERO proof.

I am a nurse

Pac just came to the USA from the Phillipines. In the phillipines most people have not been vaccinated for common ailment like polio, chicken pocks, TB etc.. It is a dirty filthy place even in the areas where Pac lives. When you leave your house the country side and the especially the cities are full of sick people coughing sneezing, children with runny noses.. So you are telling me that Pac comes to the US- the cleanest country in the world and catches a common cold. Weird. Most Phillipinos are nurse’s too so I know they have to see this as weird as well.

TARK

When you’re training for a fight of this importance you put your life on hold. I guarantee you Bradley is.

You live and breath the fight.. not the germs you get from people knocking on your door at night.. You definitely need to stay healthy.. You stay away from cold germs and other infections…you’re not roughing it on a battlefield during a war.. You have your waterbed… your TV room… your game room… your swimming pool… your chef… your massuse… your cardio trainer… your strength trainer… your coach… your assistant trainers… and your sparring partners… you house them all in camp like the Klitschkos.

Some boxers like to stay home with their wifes and kids, or they can’t afford a training camp. That’s fine for them—they don’t make 25-million dollars a fight… You invest a couple million to protect all that … because you can.

If you don’t, what’s wrong with you? Where does your money go?

Pacman speed, power and agility is down due to his aging body. Pacman has a low IQ in boxing! Bradley will embarrass this over the hill fighter.

Manny Pacquiao is an amazing phenomenon. His music renditions of Imagine, La Bamba and Sometimes When We touch skyrocketed to the top once Manny sang them. In 2011, Sometimes When we Touch went to #7 on the Adult Contemporary rankings. That’s unheard of from anyone in the business. Bieber and Perry work the radio stations continually to get their popularity and move up the charts. I dare anyone to google Manny’s Para Sa Yo, listen to it and not like it. Manny Pacquiao has been knocking out opponents for years, but more importantly he’s been knocking out hearts ladies and gentlemen. His versatility is unbelievable. And to further add Manny Pacquiao’s already amazing ability, Manny Pacquiao sings in English, Tagalog, Visaya an Spanish. Where doe this man’s ability stop? Athlete, Singer and politician lead the majority of boxing fans to carve out a piece of mountain and chisel out a Mount Pacquiao. He is deserving of something like Mount Rushmore. We have to remind ourselves that Manny is a boxer that spread out and conquered a variety of careers. He did this without any formal education, money or outside family support. God blessed this kind man and made an example for people around the world to see. Watch him and observe how he radiates like a shining star, and how people from all walks of life run to him. We have been blessed with a man in our life time that gives respect, honor, love, appreciation, loyalty and beauty to the human race. Trust me on this. Manny is the best

My friends and people, Manny Pacquiao, the Fighting Pride of the Philippines, the EIGHT WEIGHT WORLD CHAMPION from FLYWEIGHT to LIGHT MIDDLEWEIGHT and FIGHTER OF THE DECADE is once again ready to rule.

Manny Pacquiao is the same fighter today as he was back in 2009. He just took apart Brandon Rios, a former champion, and champions are hard to make. Manny has been such a powerful puncher and his aggressive fan friendly style is so entertaining and people thought that was all he could do. Wrong! Manny put on a clinic against Rios, and the crowd in attendance loved it because they appreciated watching a fighter transform himself from an aggressive knockout artist to a beautiful boxer that showcased his speed of hand and foot and his beautiful ring generalship and movement. This boxing exhibition was as artistic and poetic as never before. And as always, the naysayers take the opportunity to attack saying he can’t fight anymore, he’s lost his punch, killer instinct and he’s old. Manny of the same people thought he would never enter a boxing ring again after the Ped Man Marquez loss. Manny is a special person and boxer. Duran was knocked out by Hearns and he came back and won another title. Lenox Lewis was knocked out cold and he came back and did the same thing to Rahman. Manny Pacquiao will win this fight against Bradley and then get that coward of a man Marquez and brutally stop him once and for all. Manny Pacquiao may have put on the most artistic boxing exhibition ever seen, but that doesn’t mean he can’t resort back to being the destructive knock out artist he was a few years ago. Manny Pacquiao will beat anyone from 140-160. Trust me on this. You’re about to see a legend do a few special things in the ring. First we start off with Bradley. Manny is the best.

Not only are you Aweirdo, you’re an idiot. Colds are caused by viruses. Doesn’t matter how healthy you are or what you’re eating, you can still catch a cold any time. Oh, and Pacquiao “is to blame all around?” For what? And btw Einstein, some colds wreak havoc on the body and can have symptoms as bad or worse than the flu. So please, save your hate for another day and for a more legitimate recipient.

Even though I responded to this article, it’s really not even worth printing. So what. Manny has a cold. His fight is almost a month away. It’s not like he was diagnosed with cancer. Really, some of these “writers” should be gossip columnists.

Fight Aficionado, I was in Lake Tahoe and went to Manny’s concert. The place was going wild, and I will say there were a lot of drunks all over the place like you said. Hit song after hit song after hit song though. Manny is incredibly generous with his fans. He appreciates all of us, but he’s mobbed everywhere he goes. I encourage all fight fans to witness one of his singing performances. The man has talent and courage to go out there and sing. I’ve never seen so many Filipinos in one place. A true testament of their loyalty to Manny Pacquiao. La Bamba was my favorite. Trust me, this guy is an entertainer and is improving as a singer. Manny doe sit all.

He’s only going to catch a cold if his nutrition isn’t up to par. I say Pacquiao is to blame all around. The funny part is that he stopped training because of a cold. Forget training, there have been athletes who COMPETED at a high level with the flu.

Fight Aficionado

I ran into Pac and his entourage at Lake Tahoe a couple years ago. I was there playing the WSOP Circuit event and he was in the nightclub singing two days after one of his fights. All these Filipino dudes wearing Team Pacquiao jackets were staggering around gambling and drinking, and there were a bunch of hot chicks too. Who the hell are these people? Obv he was paying for their asses to be there instead of whatever shack they live in Manilla.

Posted March 20, 2014 2:10 pm

Fight Aficionado

Pacquiao’s entourage is way too big. Same problems happened before the first Morales fight, these dorks partying at his house throughout camp when he needs peace and quiet. Some jerk has a cold and shows up anyhow, getting other people sick because he wants to be part of the hype. Tell them all to GTFO.

Posted March 20, 2014 2:07 pm

Sant Flores

My respect for Pacquiao, but come on, one of the greatest? Then Marquez and Morales are as or greater than Pacquiao. Remember Marquez got ripped off in two of their four fights and the other could go either way, so be careful of how high u want to put Pacquiao in overall greatness. Now him using some illegal PED, there’s no proof just like there hasn’t been any proof on Pacquiao, so let’s stay to the facts and not defame someone without the facts. All I know Marquez knocked out Pacquiao very bad that his people made sure his next fight was with a guy with minimal risk and no punch not to mention slow which was Rios.dont get me wrong just about anyone can be on PED’s but it has to be proven then you can slam them all day long!!

Posted March 20, 2014 2:01 pm

Sant Flores

@Titopa
Yes you’re right, but not before the fight and I’m not sure how it got out if it was his team or not. Bottom line, there’s no need to bring that out before the fight, it makes it look as if they use it as an excuse of some sort! If he’s suck within that week then I understand but still a long way til fight to bring this out public.

Posted March 20, 2014 1:44 pm

Hec Dog

A blessing in disguise. Manny Pacquiao has to slow down some times because of the terrorizing pace he sets for himself. The body reminds him too take a short break so that he reaches his peak on fight day. He’s still 3 weeks out so the 2 day rest will do him good since he has no problem making weight. Manny Pacquiao is not your normal fighter. He has incredible recuperative powers and his stamina and conditioning are extraordinary. 50% of Manny actually is as good as 100% of other fighters. I also believe Freddie should kick everyone out of the gym except sparring partners and his training staff. We don’t want Bradley purposely sending out visitors to Manny’s camp with germs and diseases. trust me, these desperate fighters will do anything to get a win. Just take a look at what Ped Man Marquez did. From drinking his own urine to specifically hiring Angel Hereida, Ped Supplier to the USA Olympic Track and Field Team. Opponents fighting Manny Pacquiao are fearful from the start. Just take a look at Floyd Mayweather and his family. They fear the man, and have came up with thousands of excuses not to fight him. There’s been rumors circulating that Manny’s past opponents are planning to meet (more than 50 of them) and talk with Floyd about Manny. These are the kinds of things that happen when thinking about fighting Manny Pacquiao. Desperation, fear, doubt, uncertainty and funeral arrangements actually go through opponents minds. I don’t ever want to see any fighter hurt in the ring. This is a true gentlemen’s sport, and Manny is a gentleman. I will be in attendance at the MGM Grand to witness arguably the greatest fighter of all time step into the ring and make history. The only 8 division boxing champion in history will bring excitement and joy to his boxing fans all over the world. I’m urrently speaking to a friend that is a photographer and follows manny to all of his fights. I might just be able to take a picture with him and shake his hand. Meeting greatness will be something to remember. I don’t have to ask anyone to order the fight or come see it live because everyone will no doubt being doing one or the other. Maanny is the best!
