People judging Khan off his last fight against Julio Diaz 27/04/13 Khan wins on points.. Many claiming Diaz was over the hill, right? The same Diaz that in his previous fight got a draw with the man of the moment Shawn ‘Showtime’ Porter. The same Diaz who’s next opponent is the next big thing in boxing, Keith ‘One time’ Thurman. I arrest my case to all the American haters of Khan and the bias judgement and decisions overseas fighters are handed on US soil against US fighters. Mostly hype & delusional aka. Broner, Peterson, Bradley Etc

The Prince

This is Khan’s chance to make a statement. Callazo is a tough match up for anyone. If Khan can win and do it strongly, he’ll have some power to make a case for the fight with Mayweather, assuming Mayweather gets past Maidana.

no bum, but way past his prime.thos fights were years ago, he wins this and alot of pundits would be shocked.in his prime absouletly,i just dont thik he has the legs at his age to chase kahn around the ring.kahn may not be much of a fighter but a 500 meter track star he is.

Da Truth

Khans about to find out what a Prime Hatton, juiced up Mosely, juiced up Berto and Victor Ortiz found out.. Collazo is no bum..

The hell with espn, Send kahn to telefetura

Good for Collozo. He beat the the guy Showtime was hoping would bounce back. This is his chance at one last ride. On the other hand if Khan can’t beat Collozo, he’ll be fighting on ESPN next.

baldimeer wasnt even ranked i think and he beat zab judah in a major upset and quickly came mayweather to make the match in which he annoited baldameer as a cinderela man…just imagin, mayweather vs collazo…make it happen.LMAO

the irony in collazo knocking out glass joe i mean amir kahn, is that if callazo wins expect mayweather vs collazo in september as im sure mayweathers smart enuff to know this is gonna sell….mayweather vs baldimeer all over again.

TARK

I believe Khan vs Collazo is being put together to give Khan a shot at Floyd… Khan boxed so many rounds with Pacquiao over the years that southpaw is a style he feels comfortable against … He’s got a shot to win this fight.

But come on… Don’t give him a Mayweather fight off this!!!

Livershot

Collazo vs Kahn, so much for the Broner vs Kahn match up we were all hoping for. I wonder where Collazo would be if he wasn’t at the wrong end of two questionable decisions? Collazo is a southpaw and has some boxing skill and sneaky pop when you least expect it. This will be a step up from the past their prime to journeymen fighters Kahn has fought in his last four outings. Kahn has been rocked by these guys but survived these fights. Kahn and Collazo both want to prove they belong, a loss for either of them can be a career ending one. I am surprised that Kahn would accept being a mid-card fight on a Mayweather production. I would have thought he would have invited Collazo to England for the fight. Now to wait and see who Golden Boy Promotions is going to dig up to fight Broner? Brandon Rios, Robert Guerrero, Juan Diaz, oh wait those guys still have a pulse. Soto Karass, or Andre Berto or they may get Greg Haugen or Vinny Pazienza to come out of retirement. I have the perfect name for the PPV call it “Save your money!”

i ment clue, fate is the clown that dont know sh** about boxing.

Agree fate, one win especially against ortiz doesnt make him a conender more less a pretender at this point.im glad he earns another payday but his career is up although it wont shock me if he some how beats kahn, his jaw is so inviting.

fate dont know sh*** about boxing.of course the man had skills and if he had the right people around him it wouldve done him some good aswell but if you think that this man is anywhere near what he was 10 years ago than you sir dont know squat..

Jack Jones

Actually I still prefer Khan vs Prescott Rematch!! Why Khan wont give that guy his rematch. And quit pretending that was fluke. I bet Prescott is just burning inside all these years.

Posted March 24, 2014 6:34 pm

Jack Jones

khan vs Robert Guerrero would be nicer. Or Ortiz even Mythesis or Shawn Porter. Seems like Khan is banking on Collazo to be over the hill now. This may backfire cause Collazo has been robbed enough and finished second enough so this is his Spotlight. I hope he rocks Khan like he did Hatton

Good fight

WHAT!?!

I like Collazo and especially what he showed for the short time against Ortiz. He seems rejuvenated, confident and in a really good headspace. Khan has always had the talent but wants to brawl and he justdoesn’t have the chin to do that.

Saying that, FMJ is fighting the guy that got beaten by Khan in the main event. Go figure!!

Whats even sadder is after kahn wins he probably is going to get the mayweather fight, what clowns. Is this whats boxing has become.

REALLY,i dont believe kahn.this is supposed to make a statement.Look, collazo carrer has been over and he was brought in as a scraficial lamb to bring victor ortiz back to relevance and after this win hes now a co main event…Hey kahn, fight prescott you bum.

Posted March 24, 2014 4:58 pm

This would have been victor Ortiz. Victor is done

Hecdog, I believe Pac should take your advice and not sell himself to the devil. But he has done that with Arum unfortunately

How many has Khan lost of his last 13? Also how many times was he KOd in those loses?

Posted March 24, 2014 3:28 pm

what the hell is Khan doing? He and his advisors really need to wake up. He needs to stop waiting around for floyd because this fight is ridiculous. Callazo is an old timer with one recent win over a quitter. Again Khan is using this as a keep busy fight waiting for floyd to come along again. Khan if you went out and sought the best fights and won then the floyd fight would become inevitable but hanging around for floyd on the sidelines is disappointing.

++++
Totally agree- another carefully picked opponent 45% KO record , lost 4 of his last 13 and has a win over the biggest quitter in boxing….

you would find no woman on this earth who would agree to be bridesmaid on what should have been there wedding day to there groom – what does that make Khan?????

Posted March 24, 2014 2:51 pm

Hec Dog

No dignity in some of these fighters. Khan was played like a puppet by Mayeather, and then dropped. Why on earth would he kiss up to this guy and be on his undercard? I guess money and Floyd’s promise to fight him later if he wins did the trick. Stand up for yourselves fighters. Don’t sell yourself to the devil. Canelo did the right thing and said no way! Mayeather and Haymon trying to get a monopoly on fighters and boxing, and there’s no agency to regulate anything. Boxing will continue to be corrupt. And Collazo has a great chance to stop glass jaw Khan.

Posted March 24, 2014 1:43 pm

Fail

1-2 combo- Collazo is average. Khan has better skills but a weak chin. Collazo wins 1 fight over a known quitter and all of a sudden he is a contender. Collazo is average, thats all. I dont think he will knock out Khan. Khan will just box all night and win a UD.

Posted March 24, 2014 1:30 pm

bad bad bad. Khan afraid to take risks again…. why not Broner, Thurman, Brook, Porter, Guerrero, Alexander. Just fight the best win and the world is yours. not this matching making garbage

That’s a bad matchup for khan, if he gets tagged by collazo I can see khan taking a nap!

Fail. Khan will outbox Collazo. Fail. It should have been Broner.

has khan got any plastic belts left.

Yes! Collazo is back on the scene. I think this match up will be the best fight of the night. Two boxer / punchers with speed and power. Orthodox vs south paw. I like collazo in this fight. His defense with be the deciding factor. Making khan miss and catching him on the chinny chin chin. Collazo by tko in 6rds.

Dazani

For me, this isn’t a fight for Khan to get back in position to fight Floyd. Porter and Thurman were but now everyone seems to have fights lined up.

Collazo is still the same guy that Hatton squeaked by and Shane beat by wide UD. If Collazo were to beat Khan, does that make Collazo a worthy opponent for Floyd both in competitiveness and PPV draw? I think not. Porter and Thurman were bigger threats and more marketable.

But good for Collazo for getting himself back in the picture.

Earn it Man

I expect Khan wants it at a catchweight of 144lbs, just to make it harder for Collazo, a career welterweight, to make the weight, so that Khan has an advantage. If Khan fought this guy at the true 147lbs limit he’d get KO’d within six rounds. If Khan insists on an unfair catchweight, to try to make Collazo weight drained. I still see Collazo stopping Khan inside the distance.
