“Floyd vs the Man who beat Broner ”

You talk like Broner was something special. Maidana proved he wasn’t.

GBP doesn’t say how much the PPV costs or any of the other undercard bouts, just “more details soon.” Annoying how they piecemeal their announcements about this card, trying to get the most mileage out of each bit they disclose. Announce the full card or GTFO.

This PPV event is much better then Canelos PPV Mega-Flop.. Floyd vs the Man who beat Broner and Khan vs the Man who KO’d Victor Ortiz.. I’m sure they will add a few more good fights..

This undercard and the main event isn’t enticing enough for me to shell out $65. Mayweather vs Canelo and Garcia vs Matthysse was much more enticing but I still didn’t buy it.

Khans about to find out what a Prime Hatton, juiced up Mosely, juiced up Berto and Victor Ortiz found out.. Collazo is no bum..

There is something inherently annoying about Khan

Another Sad day for Pactards

@zera…… I really do think Khan is scared of Broner.

Khan did have a nice body hook , fast hands, he did drop maidana with a body shot, but that was the highlight of the fight, after that it’s was survival time for him. He said he was weak and under weight we see this fight if that true, with a big win he could redeem himself.

baldimeer wasnt even ranked i think and he beat zab judah in a major upset and quickly came mayweather to make the match in which he annoited baldameer as a cinderela man…just imagin, mayweather vs collazo…make it happen.

Who cares, the irony in collazo knocking out glass joe i mean amir kahn, is that if callazo wins expect mayweather vs collazo in september as im sure mayweathers smart enuff to know this is gonna sell….mayweather vs baldimeer all over again.

Posted March 24, 2014 10:45 pm

Who cares

Winnable fight for Collazo. I really hope Collazo knocks con out so a Mayweather fight wilo get permanently derailed. Collazo is an underrated fighter. I think he will win.

Is this the best Khan can do? Id like him to call out the guy who TKO’d his ass Garcia again, other wise he wasting my time and my interest, he lacks power and in many ways is in the same league as others who have some speed but no power Manfredo, Zudah, Paulie. Khan did great against Maidana in their fight knocking him down with a body shot but, as the fight continued, Maidana was coming on strong and if that fight had lasted another 2-3 rounds, Khan would have gotten KO’d… PEACE …TheBoxingdictionary.com …” the Language of the Ring language of tehr Irng

So if Ortiz would’ve beat collazo he would’ve been in the under card fighting Khan?? Then possibly fighting mayweather again??????????

Posted March 24, 2014 8:44 pm

if Khan fights smart he beats Collazo with relative ease.

Love-the-Sport

The growth and near-dominance of Golden Boy and Al Heyman has been mostly good for boxing. In my opinion, Top Rank and Bob Arum is putting on awful fights on HBO.

However, Khan vs. Collozzo is a terrible fight for boxing and for Amir Khan.

Khan would appear to be bowing to pressure to take this fight, get some exposure, and make some money — probably in return for some fuzzy promise for a big future fight with Broner or Mayweather.

This fight is a high risk disaster for Khan. It is totally stupid.

Collazzo is a wild card. Collazzo is a tough fighter with a tough chin. Collazzo is a skilled fighter with above average boxing skills. Collazzo has begun to shown power in some of his fights including wobbling Ricky Hatton and Andre Berto badly and of course the big knockout of Ortiz.

This is a terrible fight for Amir Khan who has a weak chin. Khan will not be that much faster than Collazzo who has good hand speed and defense.

I see no benefit for Khan who takes a big chance for a fuzzy promise. He might be better off staying at 140 and taking on Matthysee, Garcia, and others for good money. He might be better off on HBO taking on Marquez, Bradlley, Rios, Alvarado, Provodnikov for big money — all fights that he has some advantage in height, reach, and hand speed — even if all of these guys can hurt him. The money would be worth the risk.

There is no benefit for Khan to fight Collozzo.

Collazo could win this. He did beat Hatton, but they had to have hatton for maywether to beat up. $$

Popkins

Collazo may well upset the applecart anyhow. After how vulnerable khan looked in his last fight, it wud take a brave man to bet against Collazo.

Posted March 24, 2014 6:25 pm

Popkins

GGG wud drop down in weight for Floyd, Garcia is the Ring champ at 140, Bradley is P4P no.3., Pacman is a legend. Thurman is talented enough to make for an interesting fight…….Floyd seems to b aiming for the path of least resistance, if Amir jumps ahead of this lot.

Posted March 24, 2014 6:22 pm

Popkins

Two losses, a struggle over a blown up over the hill Diaz, then finally a victory over one solid, not spectacular, opponent in Collazo. That shud not earn u a crack at the P4P no.1, who is trying to put the finishing touches to a hall of fame career.

Disapointed by Khan taking this fight, after all the talk to fight Mayweather. A win here should not solidify his claim, and I will actually be rooting for Collazo to win.

“I sure hope Collazo wins and wins by stoppage. I am tired of Khan”

LOL, Peej. Well, maybe Khan is getting paid well enough on his undercard fight with Collazo to retire from the pugilistic side of boxing. I don’t think Collazo can beat him. But hey, who thought Maidana was going to whup Broner?

“Khan has always had the talent but wants to brawl and he justdoesn’t have the chin to do that”

This is so true, What!?! I previously said that Khan would “smash” Collazo were they to fight. And I still believe that. But in order to do so, Khan will have to box– keep his distance, work off his jab, use a lot of movement, and at all costs don’t get into a punchfest with Luis. Collazo has nothing to lose in this fight but the fight itself. He can afford to let it all hang out in an attempt to knock Khan off what little throne he has thereby taking him completely out of the hunt for a Mayweather fight. And you can bet Collazo will be looking to do just that. I still like Khan in this fight.

“Saying that, FMJ is fighting the guy that got beaten by Khan in the main event. Go figure!!”

The present version of Marcos Maidana would kick the present version of Amir Khan’s a$$ all around the ring. Marcos is a much-improved fighter since being under Robert Garcia’s tutelage. Besides that, Maidana has maintained his power as a welterweight and he is also a seasoned, tested welterweight–not a wannabe unproven welterweight like Khan is.

No Broner? No Mayweather fight?

Posted March 24, 2014 5:14 pm

WHAT!?!

I like Collazo and especially what he showed for the short time against Ortiz. He seems rejuvenated, confident and in a really good headspace. Khan has always had the talent but wants to brawl and he justdoesn’t have the chin to do that.

Saying that, FMJ is fighting the guy that got beaten by Khan in the main event. Go figure!!

Khan might win this or he could get stopped with that chin of his.But Khan is really at the end of his career overall, there isnt many decent fights left in him and if Collazo beats him its good bye big paydays. But people on here saying Khan is sucking up to Mayweather and kissing his butt for a fight, well maybe its true to a point. But if Khan wins here and thats maybe, and if he then gets a decent payday against Mayweather well then its over Khan will then get destroyed, but atleast leave the game with a good payday.I seen jerks on many jobs kissing butt for 10 dollars an hour…if Khan has to play alittle game with Mayweather to cash out his career for a good last payday well maybe hes not so stupid. Many, many idiots are playing the boot licking game for FAR less everyday!!!

Kahn is a biiootch Floyd didn’t paly him he played himself. He has no pride or dignity begging for a fight he lost all respect as a man. Now he is having to fight bums to prove himself? Hell its not like his glass jaw ass could beat Floyd anyway he should have been moved on. I have no respect for a mere con simply wants a big pay day like all the rest of the busters.

No dignity in some of these fighters. Khan was played like a puppet by Mayeather, and then dropped. Why on earth would he kiss up to this guy and be on his undercard? I guess money and Floyd’s promise to fight him later if he wins did the trick. Stand up for yourselves fighters. Don’t sell yourself to the devil. Canelo did the right thing and said no way! Mayeather and Haymon trying to get a monopoly on fighters and boxing, and there’s no agency to regulate anything. Boxing will continue to be corrupt.
