Khans in deep trouble, this will be one of the first times Collazo will have actually had a full professional Training Camp. Can beat Hatton, a juiced up Mosely and Juiced up Berto while training Part time.. He KO’d a very fit Ortiz who trained very well. Khan is going to find out why Collazo has been avoided by most top guys.Posted March 28, 2014 12:31 pm
Your last statement is one which really should have you howling!!!!
You write that Garcia finds a way even when he is “outboxed and outpunched!” What way is that then? Get a homer from the judges. LMFAO
I’m howling!!!!Posted March 27, 2014 6:27 pm
Yourdad if you actually watched the improvements Maidana has made under Robert Garcia in his 4 fights since losing to Devon Alexander for instance his bout with the taller Soto Karass, his bout with Josesito Lopez, I doubt you’d be howling. He has worked real hard on his defence and is not such an easy goalkeeper as he has previously been, his jab has improved markedly and his attacks whilst still clubbing at times have method whereas before there was only madness. Maidana smashed Lopez to pieces, used good defence early on to negate the tall, brutishness of Soto Karass and wore him down with effective aggression.
Watch these bouts and then compare them with his fight with Ortiz and Khan and hopefully you will see some of the subtle improvements he has added to his game. look at the way he got Broner to expose himself throughout their fight to both his lead to the head and the decent jabs to his midsection unsettling all night.
You can howl all you want, or choose to be blind. It’s your call….Posted March 27, 2014 6:24 pm

Tomato Can Stan
“I’m going to own the welterweight division”
That seems very convincing, Khan, when you’re getting clocked in the face by Garcia in that photoPosted March 27, 2014 3:59 pm
Lol at the guy below, ‘New and improved Maidana’
I think Khan is a bum with a lot of speed, Maidana is a bum, end of.
Danny Garcia has proved even when outboxed and outpunched he finds a way.
YawnPosted March 27, 2014 10:16 am
good lordPosted March 27, 2014 8:36 am
Gotta respect Amir taking Collazo who’s big at the weight and very skillfull/powerful, awkward fighter.Posted March 27, 2014 8:35 am
I NEARLY WET myself laughing when I read this headline of QUEUEJUMP Khan saying he will, “Own the Welterweight division and rule it with an iron fist!” OMD He has just trumped all of his delusional comments with that one!!!
Even if he does beat Collazo, the public will wish him to reverse defeats to Garcia and rematch the new and improved Maidana and stop ducking the likes of Thurman and Porter.
If Jesse Vargas is victorious in winning the WBA strap I just hope he remembers our deep conversation we had when he was in the Mayweather camp of how to beat Khan and avenges Khan scoffing at him when he won a stormer vs Josesito Lopez. Right then, Floyd told Khan to get passed Vargas if he wanted a piece. Jesse has not forgotten this slight. No, he hasn’t. If he gets Khan, he will show a whole new way to beat this fool!
Seriously, Khan reckons he can beat Mayweather, Pacquiao, Bradley and all the Brit guys straining at the leash to get at him, like Brook and Gavin?
Khan is more wanted than Osaman Bin Laden! He is a marked man.Posted March 27, 2014 8:05 am
Iamlegndary_j , you are totally correct and some writers would do anything to criticise Khan. I have often thought Collazo is a seriously underated fighter who can box and fight and has more pop than given credit for. Amir for all his thoughts has been happy to take a tough challenge of which Luis is, he may not be high profile but he can fightPosted March 27, 2014 5:42 am
Ha ha khan ain’t and won’t b the king of welters….no sirPosted March 27, 2014 4:52 am
Mick the Marmalizer
Khan proved his metal when he refused to fight the #1 @ 147Lb in the UK “Kell Brook”, Leonard Bundu, Frankie Gavin & Brook would all give him problems. Okay he wasn’t as much a let down as Audley Harrison, but he’s no superstar!Posted March 27, 2014 4:40 am
You can’t rule with an iron fist when you have a biscuit chin…Posted March 27, 2014 3:21 am
Will you guys stop giving this fragile china chin any more publicity. Khan is a joke and will probably lose to Collazo. He needs to have some dignity and stop begging. What a joke.Posted March 27, 2014 1:32 am
I literally LOL reading this article. Rob Smith is clearly delusional. Did he really compare Julio Diaz to Luis Collazo, stating “Collazo and Diaz are pretty much the same fighters in terms of talent.” Seriously? Same fighters in terms of talent? LMAO! Diaz has been KO’d numerous times, doesn’t box, has decent power but is no where near the talent level of a Luis Collazo. It’s a reason there were a number of boxers who turned Collazo down. He’s a very skillful boxer, he actually has more skill than Khan in terms of boxing ability. He has great boxing IQ, he knows how to control distance, he has above average defense (something Khan lacks), he has decent pop, fast hands and great movement. Did this writer forget that he basically beat Hatton and Berto, before any other fighter beat them? Rob Smith has lost all credibility as a writer. SMH….Posted March 27, 2014 1:24 am
