paquiao must be aggressive as if no tomorrow with this fight with bradley … aggressiveness with proper defense… inside the ring, the killer instinct must be there up to the final outcome. strategy… if dont work in the first 3 rounds pacquiao should slug it out…once and for all.. if he wanted to win… if his killer instinct still in his blood 85% he could win this fight.

All of Manny Pacquiao’s fights are important. Boxing will have difficulty carrying on when Manny retires. He’s an Icon that has changed the standard of what people call a great fighter. His dynamic fighting style combined with his polite and innocent personality makes him a magnetic attraction to people. The upcoming fight against Timothy Bradley is one of redemption and validation for the only 8 division boxing champion in history, Manny Pacquiao. The championship belt was a robbery by a bunch of blind and inept judges. I could never imagine how he felt like, but I did have an incident the other day albeit not on the same level, but I felt robbed also. I was driving through a Jack in The Box fast food place, and I placed my order then drove up to the cashier, grabbed my bag and drove home. When I opened up my bag at home, I realized that they did not have three cheese burgers I paid for, only two. I felt robbed and highly upset. Manny and I both were robbed and upset. Manny is coming back to get his stolen championship belt, and I returned and demanded and got my cheese burger. Manny will feel vindicated when he makes things right and takes back his stolen belt. Mr. Arum in my opinion also has a question mark about Manny Pacquiao. I do wish Manny had gone on his own instead of sign with Arum again, but Manny is as loyal a person as they come. He is a decent, humble loyal to a fault angel of life. A true quality to admire. I truly believe and know without a doubt that Manny Pacquiao will put on a great performance against Bradley. Timothy has all kinds of excuses for the first fight. He actually had be laughing when I read that he blamed his lack of effort on him not wearing socks. Remember when he went out of the ring limping. The he changed to crutches. Then he went to a wheel chair. Then he went to an electric wheel chair. Then he went to an ambulance. The he finished with a life flight helicopter. And all this because he didn’t wear socks. There will be no excuses after this fight. The city of Los Angeles has begun to have withdrawals as Manny Pacquiao nears the end of his training camp at the famous Wild Card gym. Since Manny’s arrival in LA, the city has come alive. Manny’s legendary runs at Griffith Park have now led some Angelinos to rename the park, yes, you guessed it. Pacquiao Park. The city may also be contemplating casting all of Manny’s foot steps during his run in order to show the city’s appreciation for him. This has never been done before for anyone. Manny will be going from the City of Angels to Sin City, which is quite ironic. Manny brings good to a city that is full of evil. Fans are arriving early just to catch a glimpse of the living legend. I have purchased my tickets and am getting ready to attend a victory party three days before the actual fight. The get together will offer food and drinks and entertainment. My neighbors have a great time and wish me well on my flight. I haven’t said anything to anyone yet, but we will have live Karaoke, and I plan to sing a few songs to honor Manny Pacquiao. Imagine and Sometimes when we touch are my favorites and should bring my neighbors to their feet. Manny is such an inspiration to me, and I am fortunate to see this man fight live. I will be dressed in full Manny Pacquiao attire. A red and White sweat suite with Manny’s Biggest Fan-hecdog” embroidered. Lets all get ready for Manny’s Manny’s triumphant return to the ring. Trust me, Manny will shine all night long. Manny is the best.

Sunny,
the point really was that at the end of the day styles make fights and no one should assume just because marquez beat paqiou that mayweather wouldve done the same, or that because mayweather is a better counter puncher than marquez he logically would win because in boxing there is no logic and i personally believe marquez didnt lose to mayweather because he wasnt the better counter puncher but based more on size.its like having mayweather go to 168 to fight ward.his speed would be nuetralized and skills will no longer matter for he would be to small, the sweet science baby….gotta love it.

It’s very simple for this clowm, ( Packman ), he’s got to win and win” big ” to be credible in this game in this stage of his career. Beating up a fool like Rios means nothing Rios should be very happy that he wasn’t killed in htat fight and also, Rios should get out of the game as he wsa a total humiliation and embarrassment to the sport, himself and also his GREAT heritage… Packman, should be embarrassed by beating a fool like Rios, and if he feels in any way that he managed to save his career by beating this
illl informed, NO skill and/or talented fighter, HE’s FREAKINE’ NUTS… If you lose this fight with Bradley I will have lost all respect for you …. PEACE …Theboxingdictionary.com ” The Language of the Ring”

the only exception to this rule is that styles make fights, the style paqiou wouldve brought to mayweather is much different then what marquez brought there for it wouldve brought about different results.you saying mayweather would win or when flawlessly is one thing, but mathematics has no place in boxing sir.

I personally feel this would really be a pick em fight.i really dont see anyone dominating.i woulve picked paqiou but very easily is a winnable fight for floyd.what a travesty the fight didnt get made in there primes.i hope it doesnt happen anymore, leanord shouldve faced hagler in haglers prime.

It doesn’t matter who you think would win. As long as they are active all that matters is the question of why these both of them can’t come to an agreement to fight. We can save all the fantasy discussions for after they are retired.

One more thing to note, zab judah gave mayweather fits for 4-5 rounds.his southpaw stands and speed gave mayweather trouble keeping in mind that zab is really a jr welter going up and a good fighter, not great but good. Logic would tell you paqiou in his prime being a great fighter wouldve presented the biggest challenge to floyd and i base that on his speed and power in his prime. Like frazier beaten down ali, then being beaten by forman who as we know lost to ali.
Posted March 28, 2014 7:47 pm

Keep in mind that Zab sparred with Floyd before so he was fully aware of what to do and so was Mayweather which was to wait and then turn up the heat. Also, Mayweather is not big at all. Same frame as Zab. Floyd actually started lighter than Zab. Fight-Time weight and walk around weight in normal life is actually a better indication.

I do agree that Pac would be a great challenge.

Prime Frazier beat a somewhat faded Ali who wasn’t the same after he came back. Unless that’s what you are eluding to, that Floyd’s legs are not the same like Freddie Roach has indicated for quite some time.

arithmetic is simple: Mayweather dominated Marquez + Marquez KTFO of Pacquiao* = Mayweather dominating Pacquiao* in a lopsided mismatch.

Hey tumbo, that explains vargas beating winky wright, winky beating trindad and trinidad trashing vargas…..mayorga clobbering vernon forest, forest beating down mosley and mosley k.o mayorga. there are so many more, this logic is seriously flawed and anyone who assumes that just because marquez beat paqiou so can mayweather really hasnt been paying attention. Using the logic that mawyweather is a better counter puncher than marquez wont fly aswell….marquez has success with paqiou because of him taking risk, eating punches at times to get his in, mayweather has not been known to take these risk nor less willing to exchange.Of course now things may be different seeing how badley paqiou got knocked out but in there primes mayweather wouldve had mad trouble with the speed and power of pacman.

Tumbo.., Pac cracked 475,000 PPVs and sold out the house in Macau, China.. The live gate was HUGE!!! Pac made over 18 million dollars..

About 3 other boxers who weren’t heavyweights ever made that for a single fight. Rios made over 5 million. Pac is still BIG. When has JMM or Tim Bradley ever made a check like that???

In 2012 Pacquiao was one of the top paid athletes on the planet… 2nd to Floyd in fact… How can you owe various governments and tax authorities back taxes of over 58 million if you don’t make one HELL of a lot more than that???

Again. the arithmetic is simple: Mayweather dominated Marquez + Marquez KTFO of Pacquiao* = Mayweather dominating Pacquiao* in a lopsided mismatch. whose eager to pay for that and WHOse still believes that all this talk will result in a competitive matchup? NObody.

That’s another pile of nonsense.

Many of the fans don’t care who wins…they want to see a fight that’s been talked about for 6 years come to fruition. How long does it take to put together an in-demand fight???

Me? I want Floyd to win. Roach? He wants Manny to win. LeBron? He wants Floyd to win. Jeremy Lin? He wants Manny to win… Beyonce? She wants Floyd to win… Jimmy Kimmel? He wants Manny to win… Kayne West? He wants Floyd to win… Harry Reid? He wants Manny to win… Barack Obama? He wants Floyd to win… Bill Clinton? He wants Manny to win… Al Gore? He wants Floyd to win… Mitt Romney? He wants Manny to win… Shaq O’Neil? He wants Floyd to win… Ruslan Provodnikov? He wants Manny to win.

I’m not going to go through the other 2 billion who have an opionion.

Floyd has about one billion fans… Manny has about one billion fans… The other 5 billion human beings could GAF less… REALLY!!! It’s strange when you have 2 of the world’s top athletes and most people on the planet could GAF less who wins.

But many of them would no doubt watch anyway—Just to see want all the clamor is about… People wanted to see Evel Kanievel jump over the Snake Rive Canyon… They knew that was impossible on a motorcycle—but they bought the scam because of all the hullaballoo.

Ok it’s a cold war in boxing promoter, then bradley beat Marquez and prov and has the 147 belt.
Manny beat Bradley and takes the belt he will be the best fighter and belt holder of top rank boxing side. So Floyd a professional boxer he not dating arum but taking his 50 million pluss ppv shares.
But the fight can’t happen at MGM as it only hold 8 thousand , you. Can’t get 100 million from only 8 k seats and math would tell you that. Got that Floyd ?
Before you retired you have to face the champ from top rank side or your half a champion.

Tim Bradley is undoubtedly a worthy foe for the GREAT Manny Pacquiao, my friends. Timothy is a fine young man and a top-class athlete and pugilist…but he will come up short on the night of April 12, amigos. Manny is a man on a mission determined to REGAIN and RECLAIM his title. Emmanuel ‘Manny’ Pacquiao, THE FIGHTING LION OF THE PHILLIPPINES, The RING MAGAZINE FIGHTER OF THE YEAR on numerous occasions, an 8 WEIGHT WORLD CHAMPION and, of course, awarded the Highly Prestigious Distinction of THE FIGHTER OF THE DECADE, is PRIMED to perform at his PEAK for the night of Saturday April 12, where in Las Vegas, Nevada, he will ONCE AGAIN shine brighter than a DIAMOND in front of the watching world as he REGAINS his WBO WORLD WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP. Manny is going to DAZZLE even more brightly than usual, as ONLY Manny can, as he puts on a demonstration of boxing RARELY SEEN EVER BEFORE under the lights in the fight capital of the world. Las Vegas will, once again, belong to Manny ‘The Pacman’ Pacquiao. This will be his 56th win in a career of UNPARALLELED SUCCESS and WORLD TITLES IN EIGHT DIVISIONS as mentioned earlier. How quickly some forget the GREATNESS of Manny. Such is life. Form is temporary, Class is permanent…. My friends, Manny is already a LEGENDARY BOXER, AN ICON, A GLOBALLY ADMIRED and UNIVERSALLY RECOGNIZED SUPERSTAR of the Sport, but on April 12, he will ASCEND to EVEN GREATER HEIGHTS as he RECLAIMS what was wrongfully taken from him. Manny is indeed reminiscent of a Superhero, a Young God from Mount Olympus, a Colossus, a FIGHTER FOR THE AGES, A MIGHTY ATOM OF THE RING, a Superhuman LARGER THAN LIFE Figure, a irresistable Force of Nature, a man akin to a Tornado of Terrifying Terror for his helpless opponents, a Hurricane of Hurt, a Typhoon of Tremendous Torment, a Whirling Dervish of a Whirlwind, a Tsunami of Scintillating Skills, a Dancing, Dominating Dynamo of Destruction, a Peerless Punching Punishing Prince of Pugilism and a Fearless Furious Filipino Fighting Phenomenon. Manny Pacquiao IS TRULY a FIGHTER WITHOUT COMPARE, a BOXER WITHOUT EQUAL and an UNFORGETTABLE FUTURE HALL OF FAMER. On April 12, Manny will announce his return with a bang heard ALL AROUND THE WORLD. My friends, my people, Manny Pacquiao is, quite simply, THE BEST.

I’m bringing that up because of both Bradley and Pac want to face Floyd but both know Floyd has repeatedly said he will not do business with Bob Arum and yet, BOTH of them continually resign with Bob Arum.

Who is making the most MONEY? Floyd. And that’s sad because at one time Pac should have been making the same amount but he wasn’t. He should have left Bob Arum.

Posted March 28, 2014 11:48 am

As for Pacman-Bradley, Pac doesn’t need to KO Tim. Who’s ko’d Tim? No one…Pac needs the win though. Preferably a clear cut, non-controversial win. He needs the win.

Posted March 28, 2014 11:47 am

A little off topic:

People have a problem with Floyd not wanting to do business with Bob Arum. Floyd does not need Bob to promote his fights or get a piece of his Money because Floyd can do it on his own with his own team. And its been shown quite well that he has made more money without Arum than with him.

SO, how come Arum can’t back out of the promotional part of things and sell his fighter for a price to Floyd so Floyd can fight him like Golden Boy has done for Arum/Top Rank?

He might retire. He might fight Márquez for a fifth time. But what is clear: that punch will permanently alter the way Pacquiao is viewed as a boxer, politician and cross-cultural star.

As a fighter, he relied on his speed to create punching angles and then quickly move out of range of his opponent. But as he aged, he wasn’t quite getting out of counterattacks as much. In training camp, there was talk of Pacquiao knocking out his sparring partners, but other, quieter stories of missed training runs and a lack of dedication to his strength and fitness regime. To many who know him well, he seemed more interested in Bible study than the sweet science. There were also uneasy questions from his own countryman about his dedication to the Philippines’ fervent Catholicism, sensing a turn toward evangelical born-again Protestantism. Indeed, there were some snarky tweets that his defeat may have been the result of not performing what had seemed to be a prefight ritual: kneeling in a corner and making the Catholic sign of the cross. Pacquiao seems to be writing a different — more complex — storyline to his life, and it hasn’t been easy for his countrymen to digest. And the latest loss may shake the faith of his many non-Filipino fans who have made him a global brand — but one based on winning and invincibility.

After the fight, Pacquiao readily confessed to overconfidence, believing the bloodied Márquez to be on his last legs. However, Roach, himself an icon of perseverance because of his public struggle with Parkinson’s, said that though Pacquiao looked careless at times, the end is not nigh. “If I see signs of him declining, I will tell him to retire. I don’t think this is the end of Manny Pacquiao, no.” It was simply a mistake. He did not see the punch coming. That says a lot for Pacquiao’s vision. In Márquez’s view, he had it coming.

Keith One Time Thurman

There was exaltation from Márquez, all sprinkled with blood, from his cornermen and from the mostly pro-Márquez crowd at the MGM Grand. But the obvious end of the match was also chilling because Pacquiao, seemingly invincible once upon a time, was so slow to revive. His corner put a white wet towel over him and started massaging his head as his weeping wife Jinkee — whose name is tattooed on his arm — struggled into the ring and to his side. Eventually regaining consciousness, Pacquiao said, “I got hit by a punch I didn’t see.” His eyes were still glazed over.

It felt like the end of Manny Pacquaio. This is the second fight he has lost this year. Despite his dominance over Márquez through most of the fight, he looked just slightly more timid than the Pacquiao of old; his legs didn’t move along with their typical bounce; he had been knocked down in round three, the first time that had happened in years and an omen for the way the struggling Márquez would finish the match. One of the smartest men in boxing, Márquez was setting up his KO.

The punch that ended the fight would bring a resounding conclusion to one of the bitterest rivalries in sports. Until Saturday, Márquez could claim to have been cheated by history. Considered the sixth best pound-for-pound boxer in the world, he fought Pacquiao to a controversial draw in 2004; he then lost a split decision (by one point) in their 2008 rematch. Márquez again lost to Pacquiao in a 2011 controversy. At the conclusion of that fight, when the judges ruled that Pacquiao had won, the Filipino was greeted by thunderous boos. Márquez, disgusted, stormed out of the ring, believing he had won. He would prove he deserved victory by knockout at the end of round six of their fourth encounter — one of the most exciting in recent years, an instant classic.

Manny Pacquiao has nothing left to prove in boxing. He has done it all, and his fan base world wide has no equal. The sensational fighting machine has accomplished more than anyone in boxing, and that’s a fact. His contagious smile and humble personality attracts everyone from the man on the street to the President of the United States. Manny Pacquiao’s rise from the life of poverty to the pinnacle of sports is legendary and respected by all. This heroic giant has crossed over in every way imaginable. His marketability is incredible to fathom. Pistachios were almost non existent as soon as Manny did a commercial for this product. MANNY the movie is receiving great reviews and the sequel is already in the works. The music industry is patiently waiting for Manny to have his next fight so that he can concentrate solely on his next hit. Manny Pacquiao will not go away because he is needed for the sports world to thrive. Manny is as sensational and needed as Elvis Presley was to Rock N Roll. No one can match the excitement of a Manny Pacquiao fight. This legend is a real fighter. He fights the best and climbed 8 weight classes to take on the best and challenge himself. He has achieved a kind of greatness that has never been reached. Look at his resume and you can see for yourselves. At age 35, there still remains an aura of excitement and invincibility in the fighting congressman. A man of character that hides nothing from no one. He has had tough times inside and outside of the ring, but he is transparent about everything. Manny’s life has been put out for the world to see. His character is of the highest ethical standard, and all people love him. Unfortunately, that’s also why some people hate him. Imagine being the greatest fighter of all time, respected by past and current peers, invited to dinner by dignitaries and Presidents throughout the world. And a role model to children, youth, teens, adults and families. Why would others in boxing that have achieved less (Mayweather & Marquez) not be envious and jealous of a man that surpassed them both inside and outside the ring. Now imagine how much higher Manny Pacquiao’s stock will rise after he dethrones Timothy Bradley to recapture his world title. Manny’s legacy is already cemented in the minds of boxing fans. Everyone wants a piece of him (besides Mayweather & Marquez). Manny’s boxing record speaks for itself. A 5ft 6 inch little giant that had no extensive amateur boxing experience or any respected professional boxing trainer to teach him how to box has achieved more than those that received all of those benefits. Manny Pacquiao has done all on his own. A God fearing man that has humbled himself from day and has achieved all of this by trusting God to direct his path. There have been many great fighters in boxing history, but none have equaled Manny Pacquiao’s legendary story to the top. On April 12, 2014, Manny Pacquiao will begin writing the sequel to the movie “MANNY.” What should the title of the sequel be called? “PACQUIO.” sounds about right. Trust me, Manny Pacquiao will have a third sequel. His story will continue. Manny is the best!

“there’s no way of knowing if Pacquiao will be any better in the remain.”

Huh?

“Arum seems a little initiated, doesn’t he?”

Huh?

“A loss for Pacquiao would likely be a huge blow for Arum, because it could become much more difficult to sell Pacquiao’s fights on pay-per-view.”

Duh.

“A fight against Marquez would be a long shot because Marquez is more interested in fighting for the WBO welterweight title against whoever has the belt, so that would mean Bradley.”

Uh, if Pac beats Bradley, wouldn’t he then become the WBO champ? And hasn’t Marquez said that he wants to fight the winner of Pac/Bradley II?

Obliviously Rob Smith is a man of extinction.

Only way Manny beats Bradley is on the juice there first fight was not a robbery, actually it could have went either way Manny couldn’t dominate Bradley but barely edged out enough to win maybe. Bradley is a tough SOB he took some hard hits from Ruslan and didn’t fold. Manny will get exposed this time Tim will be ready. This is a tough fight to call Manny by UD but he is going to have to beat up Bradley something he hasn’t done to a credible fighter since 09. He hasn’t beat a undefeated fighter in a long while either Manny is done…

Arum releasing statements, Roach and next will be Manny. It just to hype up a fight in which no one is interested in Arum is looking at the ticket sales and knowing dam well its a wash to he is saying anything to the media to try and spark interests but really no one cares. Manny needs big name fighter not the Bradley’s and Marquez’s of the world you know?

@Tim – “Duh…..of course Bradley is a risky fight Pac-man. Bradley is a risky fight for anyone, including PBF”

You’ve got that right. This should be a real barnstormer of a fight and I honestly can’t bring myself to pick a winner. I’m leaning slightly towards Pacquiao but not with any confidence.

why they say pac was poor in the first fight when pac beat bradly comfortably and the judges rob the pac – a sensible person could the judges rob pac intentionally. Bradly and pac are great fighers, what fans want to see the judges decision is fair.

Anon – HH London is a universally respected elder statesman of this website. You are the uneducated garbage that we all loath. That’s the state of play little boy.

Pretty sure Bob is only seeing $$$$$$$$$$$. If Bradley wins manny will get used and abused.

Tim

It’s irritating to hear people say that Pac-man needs to KO Bradley. Huh?? A win is a win folks. People keep paying to see PBF fight mismatches and win by decision, in less than exciting fashion. All Pac-man needs to do is win, that’s it. A win over Bradley will put him right back up there because who else is beating Bradley at 147lbs beside PBF. Nobody.

Tim

Duh…..of course Bradley is a risky fight Pac-man. Bradley is a risky fight for anyone, including PBF. Is there anybody else at 147lbs who could beat Bradley besides PBF or Pac-man? Nope, don’t think so. Bradley is tough as nails, has good boxing skills, has a great chin, and is ALWAYS in tip top shape. That’s a lethal combination for anybody to handle. So yes, of course Bradley is risky for Pac-man and anybody at 147lbs for that matter. Pac-man doesn’t need a KO to be impressive in this fight. He just needs to win convincingly and that will be PLENTY impressive, considering the caliber of fighter that Bradley is right now.

Let’s set the yarn!

Bradley signed by Bob

Bob needs to sell Bradley but can’t do his investment in the first fight

Manny is a puppet

Let’s stick Timothy in with a name

Timmy/Manny

Manny can’t be beat and neither can the investment (Timothy)

Timmy/Manny “fight” eachother?

Let’s have Manny get robbed to set the controversy whilst protecting the investment

Manny gets decked by JMM … Uh Oh!

PURE KTFO!

Let’s stick him in with a big fat plodder …. say Rios!??????

Now we’re ready for Floyd … the ducker????????????

I know, let’s give ‘em Bradley/Manny ll

This time, Bradley’s built … we’ll go for the 1-1

Then we’ll nick a fight each out Manny and Timothy, then stick one on the TARDS for #3 ….

FLOYDS FIGHTS CHAMPS ….. MANNY/TIMMY/FREDDIE/BOBBIE FIGHT RETARDS!

The first fight was fixed by Bob Arum to jeopadise pacquiao v mayweather. If Pacquiao loses to Bradley again then its game over!!. Pacquiao might aswell retire. Pacquiao must win to get Marquez, provided he gets through Alvarado. If pacquiao beats both of them then mayweather has no more excuses and has to fight pacquiao to cement his legacy in boxing.

And what was it we thought the promoter of the fight would say about it?

We all saw the first fight people…
