Great shot of Khan about to be clocked.

What a weird statement. How would staying with Harrison as his trainer have made Khan’s jaw stronger?

Chicago Guy; I can see you’re back! Did you finally graduate from ” English for Dummies”? It still seems as though you were at the bottom of the class.

all hype

I hope Collazo knocks out Khan then hopefully he can stop talking about Mayweather. That dude is no where near Mayweather’s skills. He can take on Bradley instead after win or lose.

“He’d b undefeated if he wasn’t taking bombs with his left hand down near his knee like the pic.” – Exactly. If Khan’s boxing fundamentals were better he’s actually have been able to hide the fact he’s got a glass jaw. Look at how Marquez keeps his guard up without going in a defensive shell. That’s what Khan should’ve learned years ago.

Posted April 2, 2014 4:30 pm

Edgar Guevara

Let’s not talk about being undefeated anymore for Khan. Let’s talk about proving himself after losing his titles. Rematching his conquerors, fighting not rated fighters to become a challenger for Mayweather, looking like a challenger against Collazo. Instead of making him a a undefeated dream.

Posted April 2, 2014 12:04 pm

Sweet Science

They way Khan fights always attacking on the offense hes susceptible to get timed with a big punch. Those punches that he gets caught with will knock out anyone in his weight division. If Virgil Hunter can get Khan to fight under control and teach him a few things like to hold when he has to. I dont want him to change his style just not as reckless. But regardless Khan is dangerous even Floyd knows that. Khan doesnt deserve a fight with Floyd right now but his name keeps coming up. If Khan looks good against Collazo believe me Floyd will duck Khan.

Posted April 2, 2014 8:08 am

chicago guy

Come on guys be realistic that there’s no such iron chin if you were hit by a timed perfect shot. I’m fan of Pacquiao but hey look what happened to him when he was hit by Marquez well timed perfect shot.

Posted April 2, 2014 6:12 am

Ray Ray

He’d b undefeated if he wasn’t taking bombs with his left hand down near his knee like the pic.

Posted April 2, 2014 5:24 am

Yeah Khan might still be undefeated if he wore a iron chin guard around his face.

LOL helmet.

Yo MOMMA

Yea Khan might still be undefeated if he wore a helmet.

Khan might still be undefeated if he is a runner like fraudfloyd.

Fight Aficionado

Well, Khan might be undefeated if he had a robotic steel plated jaw installed. Might.

Posted April 1, 2014 3:33 pm

Chicago guy

I never heard this guy Don Charles as an elite trainer. I need someone to tell me who are those undefeated fighters being trained by this guy(Don Charles).

Posted April 1, 2014 3:27 pm

Decency

When Khan fired Harrison he did so by sending him a letter in the mail. He didn’t even have the decency or respect to call him or tell him face to face.

oliver or arnie would have done an equal job.khan just got greedy and seen the bright lights.hes was ok winning mediocre fights at home.

I don’t hug nuts Anonymous, they look like sweaty, discoloured kiwi fruit. At least mine do. If that’s not normal please let me know and I’ll go and see my doctor. She’s really fit, in her early 20s and frankly I’ve been looking for this excuse for months. Thanks Anon, you’ve saved me from going on the sex offenders’ list!

As for Khan, I still maintain that the way he gets off the floor and goes back into the fray shows heart. The way he gets KD in the first place is about as stupid as everything he’s ever tweeted put together. Rocky Balboa had more between his ears (despite being fictional).

Yea, if khan fought with head gear. Got to protect the china. He good with boxer but struggle with sluggers.

@Drew…….Barrera?

Posted April 1, 2014 1:07 pm

Yeah, maybe Oliver could’ve handed him a shotgun to take into the ring against Barrera. It would’ve been his only chance.

Whenever you see “might” or “may” in a title you know it’s a BS article as it equally “might not” or “may not” be the case. Another pointless article that’s a waste of time. Whatever happened to just reporting the facts?

Craig Watson was responsible for old chicken legs doing the baby giraffe dance first back in the ams and Harrison and anyone else could not do anything about his glass chin.

“He ducked out on Devon and Brook.. He was headed for ice city.”

It’s common knowledge that Khan passed up a fight with Alexander because he wanted, and thought, that he was going to get a fight with Mayweather.

Fatboy Chavez will put Golovkin where he ought to be. Back at 154 beating up chumps like Macklin.

Yet another story about Khan. The haters are boiling.

GO KHAN!

Can’t take anything Don Charles says seriously after watching him in a training session with Delboy: Don had a glove attached to the end of a broomstick and was getting Delboy to avoid being hit by this Heath Robinson contraption. I realised that Don’s training skills were questionable and when see see Chisora still slapping at this advanced stage of his career you really can’t take the guy seriously. Khan is a ko waiting to happen always has been and always will be, not because he has a weak chin he just lacks ring IQ.

Posted April 1, 2014 11:00 am

Bobbie

I agree that dumping Harrison was a bad decision. He was good for Khan. Switching trainers a bunch of times has done Khan no good. Khan should have stuck with Harrison as his main trainer and used Roach for extra training and advice.

Posted April 1, 2014 10:59 am

Dino

Khan comes to fight no doubt, now all he has to do is learn how to hold when he gets dazed or move away from the other guys power hand. One thing is for sure though, his chin gets a C+.

Posted April 1, 2014 9:59 am

Demonyo

Yeah right and Hatton would have been undeadeated if he was trained by Buboy Fernandez

Posted April 1, 2014 4:46 am

Ray Ray

Blitz- 100% correct….the picture says it all.

Posted April 1, 2014 4:17 am

Blitz

Khan’s style and weak chin means he wouldn’t stay undefeated who ever his trainer was. Khans good but not great and will loose again when he moves back up in levels.

Posted April 1, 2014 2:52 am

TARK

Ward is elite all right… He’s the best super middleweight you ever saw. Now you might think he’s a horse’s ass, but he’s dominated every super middleweight who’s still hanging around. No super middleweight touches his skills.

Kovalev is the only guy who matches up with Ward.. Although let’s see how Golovkin adapts to 168.. If he really smashes Chavez he might try Ward.. But I think he wants to take care of Martinez and Quillin first.

Posted April 1, 2014 12:35 am

Edgar Guevara

Wladimir has a weak chin. Steward was able to change his defense. Khan a chance to change his style defensively and counter with speed. His amateur and straight up stand provokes his chin to stand on the way. Anyone with knockout power will make kiss the mat everytime. I think his hype only right now. Virgil Hill lost two fights this year Angulo, Mayfield. Ward is a different breed owns his own style and durable. Ward hasn’t no elite big time fighter. He is good though.

Posted April 1, 2014 12:22 am

TARK

Oliver Harrison isn’t an elite trainer… Khan went as far as he could with him. He went as far as he could with Jorge Rubio. He went as far as he could with Freddie Roach —

But I don’t think he’ll go as far as he could with Virgil Hunter.. He’s lost his work ethic and has been taking on inappropriate opponents.

He ducked out on Devon and Brook.. He was headed for ice city.

He wants one big score with Mayweather … and if he gets it he’d cash in his chips.. He’s got the same mental attitude as Victor Ortiz.. Ortiz is still fighting, but emotionally he’s already cashed his chips in after hitting the big score … You might throw Robert Guerrero in the same pile… we’ll see with his next fight how he does.

TG KILLA and TJ – I agree with you guys about Khan is his own worst enemy but he is the most entertaining. I like his style, hes got heart, hes a warrior. Win or lose I respect that, thats why we watch boxing to see true warriors like Gatti, Micki Ward, Sugar Ray, Hagler, Hearns, Duran, Delahoya, Tyson, Pacqiauo etc…….I can keep going on. Floyd Mayweather will never get that respect because hes a cherry picker. Like I said in other posts Floyd isnt fooling anyone but himself and his biased fans.

Ted “Theodore” Logan

Or if he never fought Danny Garcia

Posted March 31, 2014 10:08 pm

It doesn’t makes sense for a fighter to be undefeated if you are a runner not a fighter like fraud Floyd. Khan is a brave fighter that always come forward to fight so it doesn’t matter if he got some losses. He entertained the paying public every time he fights. Floyd is prima-dona.

Posted March 31, 2014 8:45 pm

TG

khan is brave, fought Peterson in Washington when he did not have to, Khan has only lost 2 fights, Prescott and Garcia, he would beat them easy if they fought again, don’t underestimate Khan, Mayweather didn’t, took the Maidana fight instead, Khan is brave and a very good fighter and has proved it.

Posted March 31, 2014 8:31 pm

Virg

Freddie Roach Ate My Hamster – I wouldn’t say Khan is brave or has too much heart. I mean, sure, he has to be brave to a point to step into the ring and any fighter with the balls to do that has my respect, but if he truly had heart he would of done everything possible to avenge the defeats he has suffered. Instead I think he is simply both a coward and a fool.

Posted March 31, 2014 8:18 pm

KILLA

Why are you people writing about Khan. This guy was and has been OVERRATED for the past decade. Freddy Roach did him a favor by training him and getti him to be a better boxer. But Khan has always been careless and DUMB inside the ring.

Posted March 31, 2014 8:03 pm

The Fights

Hamed would of been better than he was if he stayed with Brendan Ingle, he would of kept him training and he would of been the best ever, better than Pacquiao, Morales, Barerra, what a waste of talent.

Posted March 31, 2014 7:56 pm

TJ

I AM KHAN’S biggest detractor, but I was talking to one of the guys down the gym last week and I said the worst thing Khan did in his entire career was to dump OLIVER HARRISON.

They knew each other and worked real well together, but already Khan was getting ideas far beyond what he could cash and HARRISON has gone in to prove himself with such fighters as Martin Murray!

You don’t always need a massive name trainer to get to the top, just someone you trust, respect and can get the best out of you even on your worst day. Harrison did all this but was kicked to the curb for a name trainer and Khan has been on the merry-go-round ever since!

Posted March 31, 2014 7:43 pm

Clark Kent

It doesn’t matter how many times Khan changes trainers, Khan is his own worst enemy.

Posted March 31, 2014 7:36 pm

CurlyQ.Howard

Short of Khan’s not stepping into the ring with Prescott, I cannot see how Khan would have changed anything in that fight given how quickly and completely Prescott vanquished him.

Posted March 31, 2014 7:24 pm

Freddie Roach Ate My Hamster

I said when Wee Willie Limond floored Khan that he needed to train with Manny Steward. Khan has the skills but not the punch resistance or ring IQ to stay out of trouble. He’s also too brave for his own good – too much heart, not enough brains! If you look at his defeats, there was Prescott, a puncher who Khan was supposed to beat from range & learn that getting punched actually hurts. Prescott kept whacking Khan & instead of using his nous, Khan kept charging at him. Peterson was a stinker of a fight, to be honest I thought that Khan won the fight, it seemed a home decision but it was one of those where both deserved to lose. The PED cloud will also always hang over this result. Lastly, Garcia. Garcia is actually a bloody good boxer and losing to him is no embarrassment. What was embarrassing was how Khan lost. Not the heavy shots, Danny hits pretty hard after all. It was bad because Khan had Danny where he wanted him. Danny was cut pretty badly, Roach kept telling Khan to stay out of range and work on the cut – surely anyone with half a brain would have won from that position? Sadly Amir went gung-ho again, got tagged with a telegraphed haymaker and then instead of clinching and clearing his head (like Bradley did against Prov), Amir had too much heart & Danny knocked him out. Oliver (RIP) was a good guy but unless Amir would learn to fight intelligently, as Lewis & Wlad did under Manny, Amir would still rush headlong into those KOs. On the bright side, he’s rarely in a dull fight, so he has that over Wlad!

I never been beaten i let them win was all part of my plan to fight floydie but he chickened out. Dont blame him like im the G.O.A.T ask me mam.

You can’t train glass into steel. No.

Posted March 31, 2014 6:32 pm

moonshineman

It’s not a manager’s fault. Khan doesn’t like to train. That’s why he loses. He gets hit too much with hard shots.

Posted March 31, 2014 6:30 pm

Livershot

Kahn would be undefeated if he didn’t have a glass jaw. That bum would have still been knocked out no matter who trained him.
