Manny Pacquiao once again puts on one of the most brilliant boxing displays in the history of boxing. No he didn’t get the stoppage as I thought he would, but it was incredible to see him live. The MGM Grand was the most exciting venue I have ever seen. Cheers of “Manny “Manny” “Manny” was electrifying. I am nearly deaf due to the volume of fans cheering, yelling and screaming at every single punch Manny Pacquiao landed. This was a tough fight that had its ebbs and flows, and Bradley started off well, but Manny as great fighters do began to change things up and masterfully pick Bradley apart. Manny Pacquiao seemed to me a little over trained and his timing was off a bit, but he fought a great fight as usual and took back the the welterweight title and the P4P Boxing King title tonight. He will be even better in his next fight. I attended an after party for an hour and had to go get some sleep due to the high emotions, excitement and the joy of seeing the living legend display his boxing skills that will never come this way again once he’s gone. The speed, movement, fighting heart, mastery of the ring had me and the entire MGM crowd in awe. A fighter shouldn’t be able to do the things Manny Pacquiao does inside a ring. He’s a chess master, a Gretzky, a Willie Mays. Manny Pacquiao solidified himself as the greatest fighter of all time and the greatest athlete of all time. I wanted to chisel out a piece of the MGM Grand to commemorate this artist. I ran into Roy Jones Jr, Terrence Crawford, Chavez and many more athletes like Charles Barkley. Manny Pacquiao brought home the title and gave everyone in the world a reason to smile and celebrate. What a victory, what a victory, what a victory. Manny Pacquiao gave me a Birthday present that I will never forget. I was in the presence of greatness. You will never see another 8 division boxing champion again. Manny’s mother was a blessing to see. She loves her son to no ends and watched and prayed for her loving son. This brought tears to my eyes. And then to see her hug Timothy Bradley like she did is as touching as you will ever see. Jinkee must be smiling with true joy to to her wonderful husband win back and bring home to his wife, family and his people another championship. Boxing is Manny Pacquiao. The world will never be the same once the PEOPLE’S Champion leaves this wonderful sport. This is the sport that the poor can relate to the best. Struggles, mental toughness, hope for the future, survival, instinct, going another step when you don’t think you can, fighting until the end. This is boxing, and that’s why so many people love Manny Pacquiao. What we witnessed today is the most loved, treasured and admired athlete of all times come back after all the tough times he’s endured in the last few years. He could have retired for good, but he didn’t. He could have lost faith, but he didn’t. He could have blamed everyone for his tough times, but he didn’t. What he did was trust God and not let go of his faith. The road tonight was not an easy one to take. There was pain, uncertainty and some rough goings, but Manny kept his faith and fought his way to a victory for those people that need it most in life. Manny carried all of us on his shoulders tonight, and he did not let us down. People, it’s time you give Manny Pacquiao his credit even if you don’t like him. He’s a wonderful person, true champion and a man that loves God. Trust me on this. Manny is the best!

I haven’t even seen Bradley I just saw Pac from the article and from what I’m used to I can see the difference. He even looks soft, not cut, hard and well defined. I hope HBO/Arum don’t fix this fight like they done in order to rob boxing fans fans with these rematches. This MO is getting tired, 10 fights against 3 fighters : JMM X4, Morales X3, Bradley X2

Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. LionKing)

Don’t agree with those who say PacMan looked a lot less muscular at the weigh-in. When standing right next to Bradley, who has the ripped physique of a bodybuilder, you’re bound to look less muscular. But having bulging muscles and a statuesque body doesn’t give a fighter any more power or make him any better. (Evidenced by TB’s disappointing 37% KO ratio.) In fact, it can become a hindrance.

who actually rocked him and had in deep trouble a few times.

Gentlemen. we are hours away from witnessing in our lifetime the greatest fighter in the history of the sport. What an incredible feeling to be here in Las Vegas to see Manny Pacquiao bring home the victory and the title. The weigh-in was a memorable won for the history books. “Manny” “Manny” “Manny” “Manny” “Manny” Manny” and i led the cheers. I made hundreds of friends. Unfortunately, a few jealous pigs tried to rob me and take my Manny Pacquiao jacket, shoes, hat and watch, but luckily, I have been watching Manny for years and used some of his moves to evade the criminals. And I know it was planned, but Manny’s graceful quick feet got me out of trouble. Manny Pacquiao fans, warning! be careful of people around here. Okay, that incident is history, and I’m well for those of you that had interest. Now back to this historic event. The stars are out all over the place. Everyone wants a piece of Manny Pacquiao. He looks in great shape as does Timothy Bradley. What is most impressive is that Manny has always had the physical body frame of a 130 pounder, yet he still destroys the bigger foes with his speed, power, agility, smarts, defense and unbelievable knowledge of the sport. Bradley is a bit too over confident and has been trying to get into Manny’s head, but he failed. Watch this fight very closely in the very first round because Bradley is going to be hit. As I’ve said, manny wins this fight before round 4 or no later than round 9. I watched Manny shadow box for a minute. IMPRESSIVE! I tell all of you. this man is like a race horse chewing at the bit ready to go. I had fans all on the right beat as we chanted loudly “Manny” “Manny” :Manny” “Manny” “Manny” “Manny” Manny” over and over again. I handed one of Manny’s handlers a t-shirt to sign, but I’m still waiting to get it back. Hope he didn’t take it for himself. Oh well, I’m here for Manny anyway. Get ready people, there is no other legend that enters the boxing ring like Manny Pacquiao. Manny is on an emotional high that will bring out the best in him. A bunch of Manny Pacquiao fans found out it was mu birthday at one of the restaurants in the casino, and they all bought me my dinner and drinks and gave me some Manny memorabilia. Incredible to see how humble, loving, caring and giving Manny Pacquiao fans are. They resemble the legend themselves. If you’re not here at the fight, purchase the PPV event or catch it at a friends house or sports bar because you will regret it for life if you miss this Manny Pacquiao event. Sin City has now become a cleansed city of angels because of Manny. I even forgive those criminals that tried to jump me. All is forgiven, but I’m not walking alone ever again. Time for my new Manny Pacquiao attire to cloth me. Manny Pacquiao is going to light up the world tonight, Trust me on this. Manny is the best!

Btw FA, it’s not just me and Peej, everybody at the barber shop including the barbers spontaneously noted Pacquiao’s* “more-normal” appearance. including one of the barbers who is a Pacquiao* fan. he declined to bet money on his boy. “what happened to his muscles?” all noted or asked. what’s your response to that?

Posted April 12, 2014 3:04 pm

te tumbo

FIGHT AFICIONADO, we can’t be sure why Pacquiao* suddenly got “old” and older than Marquez at 35(?) because unlike Marquez he consistently declined direct challenges to accept stricter and MUTUALLY-Applied testing. maybe this time he had no choice. he can no longer rely on the same promotional clout that enabled him to run the negotiating table against previous opponents.

Posted April 12, 2014 3:00 pm

Manny “Fighter of Floyd’s prime decade” Pacquiao

Pacs the better defensive fighter and can move laterally just as well as Bradley but with a punch like his no need to evade accept for that moment against Marquez of course.

Posted April 12, 2014 2:41 pm

Fight Aficionado

Tumbo and PEEJ saying Pac looks different. Sure, he’s older and when you get older you lose muscle mass. Another reason why it’s obv Marquez began his roids rage cycles late in his career.

After seeing the weigh in……pacquiao looks super trim…….going for endurance and speed and constantly on Bradley’s case…….Bradley’s ignorance of pacquiaos hunger and power will cause his downfall……..we will see the rise of pacquiao once again tonight….pacquiao by big points or late round stoppage

Defensive and lateral movement belong to Bradley. Power goes to Pac.

Well gonna see a slower and technical phase early this time,as bradley will try to stay away from pacquiao immediate surge. But pacquiao learned from his knockout loss and will never engage while his not sure to land.If bradley decide to fight roughly he will be open for series of tactical blows usually right hooks and lightning left straights and his immaculate zero dies…

“Punching power has little to do with being muscle bound. It’s a gift you are born with”. remaining or lack of punching power doesn’t explain the conspicuous lack of muscularity in this version of Pacquiao*. the last time he looked this thin was at 126lbs-130lbs.

there is a noticeable difference in Manny’s* build. the cuts aren’t as deep, his muscles aren’t bulging. try as he might no amount of fierce flexing removes the impression that he just looks thinner overall.

I’m going to knock him out says the matador to the bull. I think Bradley will win a decision. I remember a fight in the ’70′s little name fighters…one saying I’m going to be the matador to the bull…the bull didn’t come in charging but fought as a counter puncher….won too. Said after the fight, I’m not as stupid as I look. He didn’t have a plan B.
Pac will come in as the bull.
Judges will judge ‘honestly’ or why have them at all. What some other judges saw at another fight, has nothing to do with this one.

Posted April 12, 2014 5:20 am

The Prince

Pac will likely win, but Bradley has a chance. I believe he will atl east to a better job and make the rounds closer. I don’t see a stoppage from either fighter. I see a split decision in favor of Pacquiao, even if the fight is close and arguably for Bradley.

Posted April 12, 2014 4:12 am

Havoc

True! Bradley is a brawler and when he gets hurt he goes running I mean boxing. Pacman don’t have any problem with a boxer. I really think what is declining is his punch combo and work rate. I guess when you accomplish so much it gets boring! We will see tomorrow if Pacman still got it.

Posted April 12, 2014 3:51 am

Popkins

Havoc … U hav a point. In recent years PAC has looked great in the first half of a fight, and had his opponents hurt and demoralised. But his lack of stamina in the second half is wot has prevented him getting the stoppage. He hasn’t lost speed, power or a killer instinct. Just stamina. 35+ stamina does not improve that’s for sure.

Posted April 12, 2014 3:49 am

Mike Tyson

There another factor it’s quality punches, PAC lead here, PAC has a stronger snap back punch, very crisp you can hear it snap, this is power as its long reaching punch that snap at the end. And when he punch inside he moving as he punch left to right this twist the punch as it lands.

Bradley punches are soggy slapping punches when he get excited and he stand straight.
Prov show Bradley is open for right hook over his jab, and left over the right hand.

Think this is going to be a factor. PAC is going to be hitting harder and crisper in the long run but it’s also opened the door for Bradley pride that get him into trouble, above.

Bradley plans to box but he is no Floyd, manny can out box him from the outside. That he going to find out. Very interesting fight.

Posted April 12, 2014 3:35 am

PAC still have the speed…..it’s the punch out put that is declining. He needs to KO Bradley out right away! If the fight goes over 6 rounds, Beadley might beat Pacman on the score card.

Pacma by KO or UD. Manny’s weight for this rematch is perfect at 145Lbs, he will be light on his feet, too fast and too strong for bradley.

Posted April 12, 2014 2:37 am

Tomato Can

Hmmm, I checked out the weigh-in. Both seem to have made the weight easily. Pac seems to have trained for more speed this time out. Unfortunately for Pac, at 35 he’s not getting any faster, at this point. Also Pac isn’t nearly as ripped as he was at 145 for his fight with Cotto, several years ago… But really this comes down to how is Bradley going to deal with Pac, even at this point. I have to with Pacquioa by UD, and possible late TKO, based on Joel Diaz’s comments. Still I see this fight at 55/45 in favor of Pac, so Bradley has a good chance to win.

Posted April 12, 2014 2:32 am

punch

The fight will be close and there’ll be no KO. I expect Pacman to win only if his aggression and attack are well-coordinated and measured, if Pacman becomes reckless he will lose. He’s fighting in Bradley someone who went the distance with him having twisted his ankle. I expect a healthy and more experienced Bradley to give pacman a good fight. However, due to the unjust decision in the first fight, I can’t see how Bradley could win another close decision. Good luck to both men and may the winner get to fight Floyd, I know that maybe wishful thinking.

Bradley will not give up. But his corner will not let Bradley get another beating.
His prov fight Bradley took too many hard shots, if it’s one sided and Tim can’t win on points.
They will throw in the towel, Tim has no ko punch, in that case they are force to stop the fight.
Plus dad in the corner.
PAC was 145 vs 147 last fight, PAC will be faster and will not hold back this time.
PAC beat up rehydrated 163 lb margarito at 145 lb. Tim face will be a mess, from angle chopping punches while moving side to side in front of tim, it’s the accumulations of them that do damage.
Just the PAC of old has returned. PAC by U.D or tko.

Having said that. It should be a good fight. Pacquioa needs to prove that his fire has not diminished in the sport and Bradley needs to prove his worth and that he belongs in the top P4P list. Bradley should stick to just moving around and boxing Pacquioa, in order to win and Pacquioa needs to just maul and overhelm Bradley from the start to win….

The Mad Scientist

Even at 35 he can beat the like of. Bradley..oh boy, I guess this guy will have his bag of excuses ready to go if Pacquiao doesn’t beat Bradley..

Floyd’s issue

Floyd is also an ATG, with a boring but very skilled style and an impressive records. His legacy is tarnished by being a jealous jerk and a ducker…

Floyd’s issue

Pac is an ATG, with an amazing style and record. Even et the age of 35 he can beat the likes of Bradley, he just needed to be in shape and focused. He is! I pity Bradley the fool ;)

Ahh BS, Pacs an ATG no matter what happens tomorrow night. He’s 35 and his best years are fine now. But his legacy is set in stone.

Titopa

Floyd’s issue – Floyd fought those guys after coming off of the best wins of their careers. Quit hating. Pac “loses” to Bradley in the first fight, so Pactards call Bradley a “bum”, now that Pac’s fighting him again suddenly he’s above guys Floyd beat. LOL

Floyd’s issue

Muhammad Ali said before the 2nd Spinks fight “If I can not beat likes like Spinks, I can not call myself an ATG”. Same for this fight, if Pac can not beat a very good but not great fighter like Bradley (he will), he can not cal himself an ATG.
PS: At least Pac fights the likes of Bradley where as Floyd fights the Ortiz, Guerrero and Maidana…Pffff

Brazilian Boxing Fan

In their first fight, Pacquiao weighed in at 147 pounds and Bradley weighed in at 146 pounds. Thus, both are lighter now. Pacquiao is 2 pounds lighter and Bradley is 0.5 pounds lighter.

P.S: I believe Pacquiao will beat Bradley via Unanimous Decision.
