I wish you all the luck in the world, but unless the promoters and the ABC organizations “allow” the matches that would lead to an Undisputed Champion being crowned in each weight class to be made nothing changes. They say that boxing has become more of a business than a sport, and they are right. The sad thing is that the way they do business is slowly driving more and more fans away. The fans are not the three blind mice, they know a mismatch when they see it, they know when a fighter has been robbed of his deserved glory by a bad decision . I hope that the powers that be in boxing can over come their love of money before they kill the sport once and for all.

The Ring ratings never seemed to catch on that much after the new title organizations started to flood into boxing. Except maybe for those who read the mag and forced themselves to believe that’s the way it was. The Ring just didn’t have any clue as to
how to make their champs and ratings valid with the media and general public.
They were too lazy. Hopefully this organization can do what Ring couldn’t.

What’s wrong wtih Michael Woods? He’s one of the top guys in the sport. He works for ESPN and is the editor of The Sweet Science.

Finally, after years of talk by EVERYONE involved in the sport, seems a group has been assembled to organize boxing. I wish them well! Now hnd hope everyone who truly cares about the sport gives them their fullest support — so the ones who have been corrupting it for years will be run out.

At least the Ring Magazine belt was reasonably classy. Not in the same league as the Lonsdale belt, but far better then then the alphabet trinketts.

Ring’s been dead for 20 years, it wasn’t really The Ring anymore. Now there will be no heavy champ because the two bros aren’t going to fight each other though.

Ironically they add another title to the already frustrating title debacle. It will take a long time for this title to become “illustrious, recognised and coveted” but fair play in some ways for trying. The deed is honourable but I dont know what sort of impact it will make…
