I was fortunate enough to fight on 4 of Joey’s cards (back then Ams could fight on Pro cards) . I trained in the same gym w him in the Silver Gym at the Armory. Joey and his family are some of the best people you will meet. I sat at his table in his apt in Lewiston ME (where I was born) and his Mom made us a fried egg sandwich. His Dad, Joe Sr trained me for my first few fights and we did well. I remember Steve when he was little and am so happy he is doing well. May God bless the Gamache family, they did more for me than they will ever know.

Gamache will probably join that wonderful list of boxer kids that includes Ronald Hearns and Buddy McGirt Jr. soon enough.
