Well you’d better go take you a SENSING class. Floyd is TOTALLY confident and can’t WAIT to let his frustrations out on Maidana’s body and FACE. I have SAID it all along and I say it once again. Floyd by Argentinean AGONIZING late stoppage.

I sense some insecurity in Floyd Mayweather. Something seems a bit off, and his tirade with one of his guys on stage seemed a bit off. Maidana is very calm and confident and realistic. He knows how difficult the task will be, and I think he’s going to give it a great effort. Maidana has to do the following to have even a remote chance of winning: He must apply pressure for 12 rounds. He can’t give Mayweather any distance or he’s going to get picked apart. Maidana doesn’t have a bad jab or guard, so he has to use that jab and feint it as to not get countered. He must move his head and come forward in his awkward style of fighting. He has to throw punches from all angles, and needs to be careful in close every time he throws the right hook because Mayweather will counter all night with the right uppercut. Maidana has to make this a street brawl and has to be in shape to go the distance. If he tires out after 7 rounds, he’s going to be in trouble. The overhand right Maidana likes to throw has to be followed by the left hand always. Mayweather has to be aware of punches coming at him from all angles, and they have to be hard. Body, head arms, hip every place he can hit. Floyd Mayweather doesn’t like to fight a mano y mano type fight, and Maidana has to make him do this. Keep that distance close otherwise Mayweather will run and run and run. He will tap you then run. Maidana has to believe that he can do this because the entire arena will be on his side. Floyd is a mental wreck right now, and all the stuff he’s brought upon himself may just be enough to rattle him inside the ring. I’m pulling for Maidana to pull off this upset, but my prediction is Mayweather stops Maidana in the 10th or 11th round. A great effort by Maidana, but his pressure type style will tire him out and he will take too many punches before the stoppage. I truly hope I’m wrong.

HappyBoy my friend, the PPV numbers are rumored to be between 775,000 and higher. Once again, it’s all about Manny Pacquiao. He doesn’t need others to like Mayweather does to bring up his numbers. Khan has a great following and now all the latinos are obviously supporting Maidana. Floyd has no real true fans that come to see him. Now the Manny Pacquiao numbers you must always take into account the millions that don’t buy the expensive PPV cost all around the world or simply can’t afford it. Include the 20-50 people at each household that support Manny Pacquiao. Those numbers are never accounted for, and if they were, Manny Pacquiao would crush every PPV number in any sport. Manny Pacquiao carries the sport all by himself. He uses no other fighter to boost his numbers, and that’s the truth. Chris Williams from Sports Illustrated had the numbers i mentioned, but they’re still counting. This is a man that is by far the most popular boxer world wide to have ever stepped into the boxing ring. Floyd Mayweather will use KHAN’S, BRONER’S and MAIDANA”S fans to boost his numbers, but you’ll see in the end, the numbersstill won’t be very good even with all three guys carrying Mayweather. And of course, fans must understand that Mayweather will do anything and everything to bring in more viewers. It’s not a coincidence that he posted his fiancee’s personal life on FB only to get more haters to tune in and see him take a beating. He obviously saw how horrible the ticket sales and PPV sales were going, so he stooped to another all time low and did a cruel and evil act of disgust just to save try and save those numbers. Mayweather is an evil calculating wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Floyd Mayweather the boxer cannot be separated from Floyd Mayweather the human being. After reading on the
internet what Floyd had posted about his former Fiancee, I asked myself, what would drive a person to do such a hateful thing? What could he gain from this? Why would anyone want to hurt another human being like that? Floyd is a good boxer that has earned fame and fortune. He has been blessed to have abilities that very few have. He has been put in a position in life where he could reach millions of people positively. He could do so much good. Instead, we see a man that curses out his father, threatens his children and the mother of his children, threatens security guards, rumored to have sent out his hit men, goes on a racist rant about Manny Pacquiao, disrespects an elderly Larry Merchant on TV, brags about his money and materials and has a criminal record a mile long. Floyd Mayweather’s personal life is never personal since he’s the one that puts himself out there. He wants the cameras and microphones on him at all times. He is making more news outside the ring than he is inside of it. This is a tarnished fighter and a tarnished man. His unbeaten record is flawed as is his character. The world is pulling for Marcos Maidana because of who Floyd Mayweather the person is. Does anyone wonder why he has no sponsors? Who wants to be associated with someone that looks at people as if they were dirt. Floyd is the same man/boxer that had to resort to sucker punching his opponent just to make sure he won. My question to Floyd fans is Why would you support a person that does these type of cowardly things inside and outside the ring? Why would you even consider giving your money to see this disturbed individual? Boxing has always had its share of characters and not so angel like characters, but Floyd Mayweather has over stepped the boundaries of ethics, morals and values on more than one occasion. The tragedy in all this is to allow this man to treat other human beings like he does. This world has millions of children that look up to Floyd Mayweather. He has a responsibility inside and outside the boxing ring to act and treat people like they matter. I for one will never pay to see Floyd Mayweather fight again. Floyd Mayweather will continue to tarnish his already tarnished image, but he will tarnish the image of boxing and what being a boxing champion is much worse. I can’t wait to see the greatest fighter and person in boxing return. Yes, Manny Pacquiao is the total opposite of Floyd Mayweather. Manny is all that’s good and Floyd is all that’s bad.

She’s young, single, no dependents, and free as a bird on the wing.

Floyd by Argentinean AGONIZING late stoppage

Floyd Mayweather reaches another all time low by posting personal business about his ex fiancee having an abortion, and letting us know that’s the reason he left her. This guy needs help. Why humiliate another human being like that. This guy is such an ego maniac that he has to humiliate family, friends and fans at all costs. The boxing world and the world will be much better off when this guy retires and gets out of the spot light. He needs to take a look at himself and what he’s done before doing these types of despicable things. He will eventually get what’s coming to him, and I hope by some miracle he gets it on Saturday night. Floyd Mayweather is a good fighter even though he cherry picks most of his opponents, but as a human being he’s an embarrassment. Money and fame have consumed him, and the talk is no longer about his boxing, but more about the type of person he really is. People were thrilled when his little brother Adrien Broner was beaten to a pulp, but just imagine the celebration if a good, decent, humble caring person like Maidana were to beat him. What a celebration that would be. Good finally defeating evil. The hypocrisy of Floyd Mayweather wearing a cross around his neck speaks straight to his hypocrisy. This is not a representative of the utmost highest. I’m going to pray for Floyd Mayweather. There are kids all over looking up to this man, and look at what he radiates out to them. What an opportunity he has to touch people in a positive way. A man blessed to have his skills. All the money and fame in the world, and he throws it all away. What profit a man if he gains the whole world, but loses his soul? Pray for this man.

It doesn’t matter how much money this fight brings because it’s not a contest. It’s one of those “Salute the King” Floyd events. Then in September Floyd wants another “Salute the King” non-fight event with Amir Khan. A short sparring session like the Victor Ortiz fight.

If Khan fought Kell Brook that’s the last you’d hear of him.

Khan would be gone… smashed… OUT!!!

Brook-Khan has been a natural matchup for a long time. A higher level money fight than Hatton-Witter was.. The fight could damned near match Froch-Groves—but Khan is one chickensh!t mother fkker and won’t fight anyone tough.

Never underestimate the gullibility of the public. They’ll buy anything.

As of right now the gate revenue for the Fight is the 4th highest of ALL times!! WOW!! It just show that people are willing to pay premium price for the BEST. In comparison Manny’s last Fight had a gate revenue of a little over $8 million vs Floyd’s $15 million for this Fight as of right now. There are still quite a few hours to GO SO that number may become HIGHER.

Gentlemen, fans have tired of Mayweather. Just look at the ticket sales right now. They are bad. This is another predictable win against a very nice guy (Maidana) that posses no real challenge, and smart boxing fans know this. Forget all the talk about how tough Maidana is, all fighters are tough. Maidana just doesn’t have any real boxing abilities. He can punch and take a punch, but this will be a blow out like Seattle did to Denver. Do not pay your hard earned money to see this fight card/ This card belongs on regular show Time, HBO or ESPN. Go to a sports bar or a casino if you have to see the fight because your a boxing fan. I am too, but I’m going down to the sports bar and watch this card fall apart. Here’s my picks: Mayweather wins easy decision or maybe a late round stoppage over Maidana. Khan/Collazo is a toss up, but I will go with Khan to win a decision, and Broner to win by stoppage. I hope I’m wrong om all three.

There will always be a young kid coming up who is gunning for you. That’s just the way it is. You can’t fight them all lol. Remember Floyd started his career at 130 pounds and has fought all the way up to a full fledge 154 pound fight vs Miguel Cotto so to that I say much respect.

People that ever bring up ducking and dodging … Mayweather fought the supposed top young guy gunning for him in Canelo Alvarez and made easy work of him. Then it was oh he wasn’t ready or he was too green. Mayweather just made it look easy. You have to respect that.

I’ll say this. If Mayweather ends up going undefeated when he is all said and done that is impressive. Normally as you age obviously you are not in your prime and he is fighting these young guys who are in their primes and I respect that.

EAST SIDE

EAST SIDE

Maidana by tko. Here we go, moneys shoulder roll is to take a little off the straight right hand. Maidanas right hand is not straight at all and is clubbing, look at where the right hands landed on broiner, right by the eye and temple. that right hand landed at will, all night. Also the roll exposes moneys rightside of the body, every right handed fighter is taught to throw a double left hook. A dbl left hook will not work on money. In maidanas awkwardness he throws that right to the body under Floyd’s left elbow All day and the clubbing right hand up top similar to marquezs ko over pac man. Maidanas awkwardness and floyds age and trying to buy the clippers will be his downside. Its over! History will be made. Vamanos chino!

I can def agree with that. I mean people will definitely appreciate what Floyd does in the ring when he is gone and retired. Some may not understand what they are witnessing now but they will when its all said and done. And this is coming from a guy who loves the all out wars and blood and guts fights. I can still apprecate what he is doing because most fights he isnt even getting hit flush let alone losing rounds.

Anyway, the bottom line is that anyone who thinks that Floyd giving away 0.0042857% of his earnings in front of the world’s media makes him in any way “generous” must be an ingenuous simpleton and/or hopelessly besotted fanboy. Really: cynicism in this case is absolutely appropriate (apologies, I appreciate you’ll have to look up the word “cynicism”, but once you do hopefully this will make a little sense to you).

Again, the sick don’t care if he is being generous or he is just doing it for publicity and a tax break. As long as they get what they need, they are good. That’s what I tend to focus on.

Now as far as the percentage of a person’s income/worth, it certainly is a huge plus in my book if that person is giving an amount he really doesn’t have the room to give.

I would like to think as a Rich Person, I would give back my fair share. You don’t know until you are in that position.

Mayweather doesn’t boast on how much he gives to charity. He simply says people say I don’t give when I do. It is just not in the publics eye. He doesn’t go on record every time he is doing something for charity. And once again it is his money, he can do what ever he wants with it. And you are on here trying to say something about it and bringing the gesture down. So now the question is what do you give? And once again it is his money. He earned the money doing what he does so he can do what ever he wants with it.

Unlike Mayweather, I don’t boast about how much I give to charity. However, I can assure you it’s a whole lot more than 0.0042857% of my net worth (and I don’t even tell people about, never mind wait till I’m in front of the world’s media is there: fancy that!).

I can also assure you that if I had Floyd’s money, I would not be spending it on countless cars and houses and watches: even if it weren’t for all the poverty and suffering in the world, that kind of lifestyle absolutely sickens me (consider the fact that Floyd paid three times more [$50,000] on a single night to have women degrade themselves in front of him than he did to help victims of breast cancer).

No, if I had that money, I’d be investing it in projects to help as many people as possible, for generations to come — not just a few people here and there when my management tells me it might make me “look good”.
Posted May 1, 2014 12:45 pm

Why are you so emotional about what someone else does with their money or how they act in such a way with regards to how Floyd does it specifically?

What’s hold you back from being as wealth financially?

Would I do it? No, its not me.
But I’m also not an elite athlete with such a mindset of perfection and ego that it allows me to step into the ring on a high level and win each time…earning millions in the process. That mindset that makes him great may also play a role in how he perceives things.

Well lets see, how many PPVs has Canelo sold for his fight with Angulo? Then deduct that from the PPVs sold and you can get somewhat of an idea of how many PPVs were sold for Canelo being an opponent.

Not quite. Although it holds some truth, you also have to look at Floyd’s numbers without Canelo, without a Big Name/Star.

So it would be his numbers with Robert, maybe Victor, etc.

It’s like Hollywood stars: Take the same celeb, stick him in a movie few have interest in, his numbers will be lower. But stick him in a movie with a great supporting cast, great script, he’ll do quite well.
Ex: Johnny Depp.

LOL. In the near future, under the HOF inductee career description, the record and accomplishments of the fighters will be replaced by number of ppv fights and ppv sales…..

“According to Dana White, the numbers are still coming in from Canelo/May which is at or will reach 2.5 million. I have no idea how that works or how he knows but he is Dana White, he lives in Vegas, and he is not even about marketing boxing or Floyd.
Floyd, being his own man that runs a show, gets a huge stake in that pie. The PPV, the gate, and anything else involved in the fight.”

According to Forbes Magazine, from Sept 19, 2013, after the broad count was tallied, the title read….”Floyd Mayweather Will Earn More Than $80 Million For Record Breaking Fight”

How much of that fight payday for FMWJr will you attribute to having Canelo as an opponent? How many Mexican and Latino fans paid to see that fight? If it was all about FMWJr, then how do you explain the numbers on the Guerrero fight? My statement still stands. FMWJr will make more money with Pac than any other fighter in the world… the same goes for Pac. They are doing each other (and the sport) a favor if they end up squaring off. It is not one sided as some people think.

Canelo and his fan base certainly helps. ALL high PPV numbers like that, be it Floyd vs. Oscar, Lewis vs. Tyson, Floyd vs. Canelo, Holyfield vs. Tyson, etc…all need a great dance partner. Now is it equal in who brings in the interest? NO. Certainly not.

Floyd vs. Robert did what, 1 million buys?
Not bad. But not 2.5 either.

Here is why Floyd may not make the same amount he made with Canelo if he fought Pac…BOB ARUM’S CUT. Bob wants to promote the event. Will he be able to get his 30%? Not a chance. Should he get anything? With Floyd, not a chance. Floyd doesn’t need him. Pac doesn’t need him.

31 million plus PPV revenue if the fight does well enough isn’t to bad either for not facing Pac and having to deal with Arum.

Maidana looks like the MC or likely to break out into a Frank Sinatra number.

Well lets see, how many PPVs has Canelo sold for his fight with Angulo? Then deduct that from the PPVs sold and you can get somewhat of an idea of how many PPVs were sold for Canelo being an opponent.

Martin, it does not matter how much money he makes and how much money he gives away. The simple fact that he gave 15,000 speaks volumes. How much money do you give to charities every year? I bet it comes no were close to 15,000. How much money do you make a year to how much money you give to people in need? How many turkeys have you given away on Thanksgiving, how many presents have you given on Christmas day? How much money have you given to relief funds for the disasters that have happened?

Floyd is a pu$$y..Afraid of Pacquiao and a few others who can beat him. What a piece of trash. This ppv should be $25 dollars at best or a free Showtime fight…Ripoff!

So Floyd gave away £15, 000 dollars to a cancer charity. What a saint!

Do you know what percentage of his reported total earnings that is?

Here’s the answer: 0.0042857%

That’s the equivalent of someone who has $50,000 giving away about $2.14.

If this is all he’s prepared to give to charity publicly, how much do you think he donates anonymously?

That’s right: not a cent.
Posted May 1, 2014 11:59 am

How much did you give?

Listen, if a someone needs surgery that costs 15k, that person isn’t going to care that it is the equivalent of $5 to the rich guy giving it. What he will care about is your $100 donation that won’t cover his surgery that will cost him his life even if the that is 10% of your monthly check which is a big deal to you.

I wouldn’t say that. He probably gives to hundreds of worthy causes, but that’s something you wouldn’t know.

@Munzy

“ESPN is reporting he is making over 31 million before ppv buyrate % for this fight. Impressive.”

Did you know that 75 individuals own more wealth than half of the world’s population?

“Impressive” huh?

If that’s the sort of thing that “impresses” (rather than utterly disgusts and outrages) you, you do not deserve to live. End it now would be my advice.

With their outfits, Maidana looks like a typical patron having a drink at the Sunset Tower Bar – and Floyd looks like a typical patron chowing down at Barney’s Beanery.

@teepee. There is no lottery hand out from FMWJr to Pac. While it is true that Pac cannot make the same amount of money with any other fighter than FMWJr, the exact same can be said that FMWJr. *cannot* make close to the same payday as he could with a fight against Pac. So this “lottery ticket” applies to both of them… I grant that the cash favor split should be towards FMWJr and this juncture, but there is no way he is doing Pac a favor like he does with his other opponents.

Honestly I don’t know why people are throwing around lottery ticket when it comes to Mayweather. He makes over 20 mil a fight no matter who he fights. ESPN is reporting he is making over 31 million before ppv buyrate % for this fight. Impressive.

Always Sunny you are incorrect. Look at what Floyd made against Canelo. That is around the same maybe a tad bit less he would be making fighting Pac fight now.

Honestly looking at the card, its one of the better cards that have been on in awhile. I’ll catch this ppv at the local theater for $17.

The legendary Manny “Pac Man” Pacquiao and his beautiful wife Jinkee recently welcomed their 5th child, Israel into the world. Life continues to get better for the living legend. His spectacular performance against unbeaten Timothy Bradley left viewers in awe as Manny used his speed, boxing intellect and a variety of pin point punches throughout the fight. Boxing rises to a level of excitement that reaches the sky every time Manny Pacquiao fights. There are no other boxers today that take command of the world’s attention like Manny. Recently there were fights that involved Keith Thurman and Shawn Porter. Both guys would not be recognized outside of the boxing ring. Saturday there is a fight between Floyd Mayweather and Marcos Maidana. There’s no excitement anywhere. Real sports fans don’t have much interest. Floyd Mayweather’s routine of fighting handpicked, one dimensional or inexperienced fighters has worn thin. His me, me, me look at my money and materials and my women I can buy off has fans losing interest in his particular fights. We saw fans badgering him on the All Access show. Floyd has made a fool of himself, and the ticket sales aren’t going very well. Boxing needs Manny Pacquiao to come back soon. He is currently negotiating a possible 5 fight deal that would take him through 2016. Bob Arum is rumored to have a huge offer waiting for Manny Pacquiao. Those that are against Manny signing with Arum must know that Manny Pacquiao is a very loyal, forgiving, understanding, loving and caring person that is a man of his word. Arum has made millions of dollars for Manny Pacquiao. Could he have made more money for Manny? Yes, but Manny Pacquiao has enough money today to last him and his family a life time. Manny Pacquiao is the greatest pure fighter in boxing history. His enormous popularity comes directly from his incredible boxing ability that fans love. Manny is warrior unlike like any other warrior. The living legend has taken on the best of his era. He has no fear of any man or beast. Floyd Mayweather is a lost soul bathing in his money and materials, but he lacks the respect of his peers and the public. Everyone knows that he avoided Manny Pacquiao at all costs even going as far as getting himself locked up just to avoid the greatest fighting machine of all time. Styles make fights, and Manny Pacquiao’s style would have given Mayweather fits. Mayweather would have been knocked in rounds 10-12. Trust me on this. A legend like Manny Pacquiao that carries an entire country on his shoulders has a special ability and passion that cannot be duplicated. Manny Pacquiao beats Floyd Mayweather in all areas. Speed, power, athleticism, stamina and ring generalship favor Manny. This man is not your ordinary man. No one beats Manny Pacquiao on a one fight basis, no one. Manny is the best!

To get ‘given’ a Bugatti and a $400,000 watch means he’d dropped many, many, many millions in the Casino. Best suite, top ‘free’ girls….= lots of lost money.
He’ll be making a come back at 40…being dead flat broke.

Tepee, Floyd helps and supports only one person, Floyd. Please do not portrait him as a humanitarian. He is not one, he is a selfish man from Las Vegas. He does not live in the real world. His world is buying a new car, buying jewelry and gambling. The only thing that goes for him, he is a disciplined athlete and excellent boxer…

Good luck Maidana, I hope you win. Floyd, I hope you lose. You need to lose to grow as a human being.

Maidana didn’t thank his fans what a jerk but hey I feel him to but still at least Floyd is helping cancer patients aand this is what ppl don’t see all they want to do is say bs about Floyd cuz he won’t give Bob and pac a chance at the lottery and cuz he is black rich and undefeated and talk trash so what he do back it up
