COLLAZO BUM EXTRORDINAIREPosted May 7, 2014 2:07 pm
The result was quite predictable …. it was always a good match up for Khan. Style-wise it was always going to be a Khan win.Posted May 7, 2014 7:42 am
Good fight for Khan. Colazzo didn’t know what to do when he was being outboxed. He tried to turn it into a street fight but Khan punished him.Posted May 6, 2014 1:27 pm
Khan is so protected. Have a good look at collazo record and you will see he beat journeymen for the last 7yrs and when he stepped up he got beat, has no real power at ww and beat Ortiz..WOW!
Collazo didn’t show up. He looked like a fighter who had been paid off to give Khan a sparring session. Watch Khan take another year off whilst he begs Floyd for a retirement pay day.Posted May 6, 2014 6:52 am
Sweet Science you’re a pathetic nut sucker who will buy any chump fight these promoters throw at you.
The fight was a setup for Khan—to get him an undeserved shot at Floyd… So Floyd can keep avoiding the toughest welterweights out there…
It’s chumps like you who allow these trash fights to be made … Which means skillful and deserving fighters like Porter and Lara are continuously avoided by Floyd—so he can cherry pick China-chinned, no defense chumps like Khan.Posted May 6, 2014 12:53 am
I am not hating on Khan, but he did not fight a viable opponent to make him as a next opponent for Mayweather, when Porter and others have proven themselves. godspeed to all warriors.Posted May 5, 2014 1:53 pm
Khan did fight well, for someone fighting a guy who looked washed up, non threatening, and no defense. Yeah, Ali would look good even today vs Collazo, the way he fought Saturday. Khan fought a guy who didn’t appear to be all there, and Khan still ran and held too much, he looked scared.Posted May 5, 2014 1:49 pm
Khan’s Cuz Achmed
Where will Floydee run to now???Posted May 5, 2014 9:11 am

Amir Khan should pray he gets the fight against Floyd. Khan showed he has the style to beat Floyd. Pot shot and run. Floyd had slowed down and will rely more on his counter and his power. Khan vs Floyd is a very good fight.Posted May 5, 2014 3:38 am
Khan looked pretty good, but any figher would look good against the tactics Collazo employed which were pathetic.Posted May 5, 2014 3:34 am
fixed bouts just as i initially predicted:
mayweather win (minus the money KO i predicted)
all in favor of haymon top dogs! what’s next??? khan vs. mayweather! haymon wouldn’t want his cash cow to suffer another beating like that again… good thing i didn’t shell out my money!Posted May 5, 2014 2:18 am
Die TARK you old b u mPosted May 5, 2014 1:28 am
TARK – Did I ever tell you you sound like an idiot. Shut up, stop hating on Khan dudej. He did what he had to do and won the fight give the guy some credit. Collazo fought the best and gave them all problems. Khans first fight at welterweight and he won fair and square to fast for Collazo. He stuck to the game plan thats what hes supposed to do.Posted May 5, 2014 12:45 am
Collazo should be ashamed of himself and go back to suckin the pipe.Posted May 4, 2014 8:34 pm
Dumb quotes from Ivanov.., “The heavy handed southpaw Collazo … The bulky and menacing Collazo.”
Collazo is certainly NOT heavy handed. His KO ratio is only 43%.. Collazo is certainly not bulky or menacing.. He looks soft and weak.. Collazo was cherry-picked to get Khan a title shot againt Floyd.. All Khan had to do was find a welter with a name, who he could beat on Floyd’s undercard—because Floyd wants to fight Khan.
Obviously they weren’t going to choose Alexander, Porter, or Thurman as Khan’s opponent.. They needed somebody Khan could outbox which ruled those guys out.
The fight was a setup.
Collazo made it super easy for Khan by dropping his guard and walking straight in all night … never a good strategy, even if you believe a guy is a weak chinned wimp who can’t punch.. That seemed to be Collaozo’s belief all the way through … no matter how dearly he paid for it.Posted May 4, 2014 7:49 pm

Khan Do Attitude.
Amir Khan, the guy the Floyd DUCKED, again ! Floyd ducking peopleis getting to be a habit with him. His moniker as a The Best Ever just went down the toilet last night.Posted May 4, 2014 7:24 pm
Maidana did better than expected but lost a close but clear decision. Funny how these guys get so motivated for Mayweather. Even Pacquiao said against Floyd he “would fight like there’s no tomorrow”. So are these chumps slacking off in all their other fights?Posted May 4, 2014 7:02 pm
Typical khan fight against a fighter who is supposed to be slick but wasn’t & without any real power. AS I’ve mentioned before Khan is a very dirty fighter who manages to lose when in against any decient fighter with some pop in his punches. Like to see him & Broner go at it next but wont happen, two peas from the same pod.Posted May 4, 2014 6:30 pm
Its like Barry Mcguighan moving upto super middleweight n holding a world title at that weight no disrespect to barry mcguighan hes was a great boxer but he was a midget lmao. This is the many paquio mayweather, khan equivelent aint it ffs lol….Posted May 4, 2014 5:43 pm
Its all back handers and little brown envolopes placed under toilet doors aint it these days bungs back handers etc. Its al one big fix, Ive been a boxing fan all my life i live n breath boxing and its always been a case if ur a lighter weighted boxer then u prety much stay around that area ish prety much ur entire career. Nowadays their up weights so easily n r holding the weight with ease whentheir getting their how so…..i remeber khan when he was fighting in the olympics as an amature and he was proper proper skinny looked like a lightweight somert like 9st5lbs or something no here he is a fully fledged welterweight theirs only around a stone in it but its all through out the sport.Posted May 4, 2014 5:40 pm
Hey Tark funny you mention setup, Why was Khan thanking him at the end of the fight and then says “il come and speak to you later” I thought that was a bit strange myself, a bit too over friendly.Posted May 4, 2014 4:52 pm
The fool deserved the pasting he got for showing a lack of respect for Amirs power, he hits harder than people think, I think Collazo was trying to make him mad but after it didnt work he should have changed tactics, maybe even put his hands up.Posted May 4, 2014 4:48 pm
Sublime boxing from Khan, even took a left hook that I thought would have floored him but it never, chin improved at 147?Posted May 4, 2014 4:44 pm
Khan fought a good fight, he won well, he did hold a lot but nothing compared to a certain great hw champion and its all about fighting to your strengths he ain’t got no inside game like our hw champ so he gotta hold.Posted May 4, 2014 4:12 pm
TOTALLY AGREE with you. I nearly fell off my seat when I saw Collazo walking to .khan with his hands dangling by his sides for the whole fight. I almost feel Collazo was hoping khan would nail him clean so he could lay down. Can you remember a world class fight where a fighter fought in this fashion with absolutely no regard for defence? If I had gambled money on Collazo, I would be real p1ssed. Hopefully, he never gets another sniff at the top table after that foolishness.
I wrote on another thread that Khan would try and box like the Kotelnik fight vs Collazo and Mayweather and he’s the entire ring to steer away from engaging, and he would clinch, grab and clinch some more to make sure of this. The only thing I didn’t foresee was that Collazo would lose his mind before the fight and try to fight like an orangutan! Khan would have dropped the big o seeing such a wide open and inviting target and he took the invitation to tee off on his lathe dome all night.
I will assess Khan in his next fight and not on this joke of a fight.
Adrien Broner dropped to new lows last night swearing and being disrespectful to Mexicans on national TV. This imbecile is going to wind up dead in a ditch before he’s 30 and sadly for him no one will care. Horrible human being.Posted May 4, 2014 4:10 pm
Khan had a very friendly referee who let him grab and lean on Collazo like crazy all night… But Collazo can’t box or punch and he fought a very stupid fight to boot… He should have been wearing a sign around his neck that read, “Please hit me muther fukker.”
Collazo was a set up… Floyd wants to fight Khan and this win was engineered.Posted May 4, 2014 3:46 pm
This is great how Virgil Hunter has Khan fighting just as dirty as his protege Andre Ward. Hold and hit, wrestle hold and hit..unfortunately for Khan he wasn’t fighting in his hometown where the house ref will let him get away with it.
No wonder Andre never ventures out of his hometown he would never be allowed to get away with his dirty holding style.Posted May 4, 2014 3:38 pm
The Facts !
This writer claims that Collazo is a heavy handed fighter ,,I actually never knew that . Considering he has only 18 knock out victory’s out of 41 fights , this writer also mentions that Collazo was a menacing fighter going after Amir Khan .. i always thought that Collazo was more of a boxer then a menacing fighter . My question is ,,WHERE IN THE H_LL DO THEY FIND THESE WRITERS !!!!Posted May 4, 2014 3:05 pm
Puerto Rican fighters are done !!! who is any good that is Puerto Rican ,, no one ,, Danny Garcia got expose by Herrera ,,and Collazo got his butt whipped last night .Posted May 4, 2014 2:51 pm
amir con holds on as much as a mayweather hoe.Posted May 4, 2014 2:03 pm
Just watched the full fight, very entertaining.
Khan looked good??? Fought well??? Floyd is DUCKING Khan?? Are you idiots serious? The ref was obviously paid to ignore the ridiculous amount of holding, and only took a point away after it became painfully obvious that those tactics had already put the fight in the bag for Khan. Khan is a BUMMM. Collazo, in a fair fight, would wipe the floor with this clown. Boxing is a sport I love, but sickens me when I watch this crap. Khan is a beeatch, no doubt about it.Posted May 4, 2014 1:55 pm
Horse manure. Khan is boring as hell, and a dirty fighter to boot. I wouldn’t sit to watch him, even for free.Posted May 4, 2014 1:24 pm
I agree Khan fought well, but not as impressive as some may have seen it. Khan numerous times stated he had an 8 month camp, he will be very strong and a welterweight to reckoned with. I saw a fast welterweight who back pedaled all night, held all night! Not an 8 month camp welterweight who going to take over the division. Khan looked very apprehensive to mix it up with Collazo. khan was happy with just one hit and hold and run back. That is not what gets one the Mayweather fight. Khan needs to fight Porter or Thurman or even Paquiao. All three if the mentioned should have a shot at Mayweather before Khan. Khan is just not ready, and has not earned it. Godspeed to all warriors.Posted May 4, 2014 1:17 pm

RT…gotta agree with you, khans always been a holder/pusher…..he is not alone in this though floyd is a master at it, khans still pretty amateurish in his holding compared to floyd, I’m not hating on them by the way, it’s basic survival instincts …you gotta be prepared to do whatever it takes to avoid getting hit I guess, and employ tactics during the fight to maximise your chances of staying unhit.Posted May 4, 2014 11:16 am
collazo hit him one good clean shot that he could not follow up on.Posted May 4, 2014 11:15 am

Collazo is known for his slick Boxing.. gave Mosely and Berto a bad night because of his slick Boxing.. then here he decides to not Box and come in face first hands by his waist?? also the Ref was terrible allowing Khan to get away with so much holding and dirty tactics.. I smell a fix..Posted May 4, 2014 10:56 am
That was not the Collazo I know, he basically put his hands down and gave Khan every opportunity to win the Rounds.. Odd??? Not sure why he did that? he was obviously not afraid of Khan or Khans shots so why give away all those rounds??Posted May 4, 2014 10:55 am

Just to clarify. Khan was always a holder and head locker way before Coach Hunter. His problem is, he is scared as he’ll to get hit on the chin.Posted May 4, 2014 10:45 am
Khan has improved a lot since I last saw him. Coach Hunter is doing a great job at getting khan to slow down and not rush into a punch with that questionable chin. However, khan is still in my book a dirty fighter. He held all night long against Collazo and when he wasn’t holding, he was running. He’s a runner, wrestler.
The difference between the footwork of Floyd and a Khan is that Floyd dances to get space to sit down and throw punches at opponents, to give angles to opponents, etc. Khan just runs around the ring. I keep trying to give this guy credit, but I’ve watched him fight for many years and he does the same things continuously. He head locks when a fighter is close enough to fight inside. He pushes fighters heads down with his elbow. He did it to Peterson, Molina, Mallignagi, Judah. This is how he fights and it’s definitely dirty.
The ref did a terrible job in calling the fight.
Khan is not quite ready for Mayweather. I think it would be a Hopkins type of fight if they ever fought with a lot of holding.Posted May 4, 2014 10:42 am
khan do, you’re a moronPosted May 4, 2014 10:34 am

Fargo, look again. Khan took a diploma in MMA grappling, armbars, arm locks, grappling with his tutors Virgil Hunter and Andre Ward teaching him the dark arts. Add this to constant pushing and imitating Klitschko by leaning on at every opportunity, then yes, Khan passed with flying colours! Add to that, that he fought a dummy who left his defence at home, electing to be a catcher all night. Yes, then Khan was made to look brilliant!Posted May 4, 2014 9:01 am

If Khan is so GREAT why doesn’t he call out Garcia who TKO’d his ass, Not impressed at all.. Be a freakin’ champion and avenge your loss, Khan is NO Mayweather, and by the way, what titile did he win last night the SILVER TITLE, What the freakin hell is that … CALL out Garcia or better yet, have a rematch with Maidana you beat him once before you won’t now… Boxingdictionary.com “The Language of the Ring “Posted May 4, 2014 8:45 am
floyd will duck Khan again. He dont want him.Posted May 4, 2014 8:36 am
Floyd holds more than Khan and Klitschko together, he elbows and keeps an arm lock around neck, and you say Khan is holding incessantly? Fanboy, if Floyd the ATG can do it why make noise about it?Posted May 4, 2014 8:34 am
Khan looked really good in the first half, then he apparently started to run out of gas. Also, he was lacking a left hook and he got sloppy when he had the moment to finish Collazo.Posted May 4, 2014 8:31 am

Khan had learnt MMA with Andre Ward. He performed multiple arm bars on Collazo, pushes, head locks, grapples. The only thing he didn’t do was a takedown. He got Collazo in an armbar before landing the body shots to knock him down late. Totally illegal and the ref Draculic was a joke!Posted May 4, 2014 7:22 am
Who would have thought Khan could kd Collazo three times? WOW what a performance, very dominant. Going in people predicted this was going to be the toughest fight of the night a 50/50 but what’s the outcome 119-104.
fight khan insteadPosted May 4, 2014 7:14 am

Khan had absolutely nothing to beat. Seriously, cast your minds back as far as you can and tell me which elite, world class fighter fought another world class fighter with his hand stuck by his waist for 12 entire rounds? Collazo handicapped himself and presented a full on target for Khan and gave us no indication whatsoever if Khan is ready for a Porter a Thurman, let alone Mayweather.
hamsters against robbery
Body shots are not unseen from Khan. He nearly stopped maidana with one and he laced malignaggi with left hooks at the end of combinationsPosted May 4, 2014 7:06 am

@…. Khan could be a handful as I mentioned, he is a lot younger than Floyd and at this weight age matters more than in the upper divisions. The catch is Khan does not have the punch to punctuate his skills.
Both Pacman and Floyd can make adjustments within the fight but there has to be a fight in the first place.
It looks the stage is already set for a Floyd – Maidana rematch., so it could be a year before Floyd fights s.o. else.. or retires.Posted May 4, 2014 6:53 am
Good performance by Khan. I did think he would start to gas and crumble around rounds 6-7 but fair play to him he stuck to his plan and boxed beautifully. Much credit to Virgil Hunter.Posted May 4, 2014 6:45 am
