Tark you sound a lot like Freddie Roach, who should be fired if Manny can’t get a decisive victory over JMM. Nothing in their history shows us Manny can close the book on this guy. Its like Shane Mosley v Vernon Forest. Just move on. He has your number.

Posted May 16, 2014 5:45 pm

Typical Pactard hypocricy. Manny struggles mightily against JMM, perhaps losing all 4 times. Floyd toys with JMM. Pactards say the results are not related to a Pac v Floyd fight. Floyd wins a close decision against a dirty fighting middleweight who Manny has not fought. Pactards say this is proof Manny will defeat Floyd.

Pacquiao was supremely confident against Rios and Bradley… he won both fights easily. He’s lost nothing at all… If he fights Marquez again he’ll score his easiest victory over the Mexican ATG. He won’t lose a round.

Mike Tyson Im a big Pacquaio fan but he’s a gun shy fighter relative to who he was, Bradley could not punch at 140 and sure as hell can’t at 147, yet Manny cooled his jets because Marquez took a piece of his confidence he is not getting back..

Posted May 15, 2014 3:29 pm

SREDMOND sa PAC is gun shy fighting Bradley and rio a UD fight .and Bradley who he beat a young full WW fight that was unbeaten and had a record high coffdance . Is seen what you want to see. And bias.

Posted May 15, 2014 2:17 pm

Mike Tyson

SREDMOND, it’s depend on who fighter your watching during the fight, that why they have 4 judges. Two watch one fighter and two watch the other fighter, I was watching hatten and his left hand hook or sometimes off timing lobbing over the top coming down was hitting Floyd about 7-10 times

Same as I predicted maidana way going to get his hardest fight since hatten as both are slugger/ boxer that are constantly want to get inside and trade. Floyd don’t we just seen why.

And maidana also I’d busier and he throw in combos, same as Bradley, ,PAC, porter, all are insider fighter that get points inside. PAC out work Bradley inside to beat him.

Maidana shows on a muti punches fighter the shoulder roll don not work as another pinche is on is way that will land.
And wht do Floyd can’t even win 12 round on maidana who Alexander and khan and another fight beat. Is show he can’t handle busy fast fighter that are slugger/ boxer and maidana is like 4-5 place there.

Posted May 15, 2014 2:14 pm

SREDMOND

Manny Pacquiao has a 3% change of stopping Floyd Mayweather thats a joke, first of all Mannys Power is not really a big deal at WW, Maidana, Cotto, Canelo, Mosley and Ortiz all bang harder above 140 than Pac Man.. Secondly Manny is GUN shy he backed off both Rios and Bradley citing the need not to get “careless” after boxing senior citizen JMM jammed his arm down his throat and ripped his guts out… Mayweather is a SMARTER fighter and he eventually turns back and nullifies the BEST or most spirited attacks… Manny is too short, with stubby arms and his constant overextended jab was getting him countered EARLY in the bout against Bradley even Roach said Manny was slower than he expected… Pac got shaken by Bradley who is not nearly as accurate or sharp a puncher as FMJ, Mayweather knows how to WIN, Pac Man can be gotten off script and defeated aside from knocking him out JMM boxed him to a controversial win (for Manny) during the 3rd contest… Manny Pacquiao is NEVER gonna KO Floyd Mayweather and it will be interesting to see if he every KO’s another boxer! it has been that long.

Mike Tyson, I always know a guy is a desperado when he starts reeling off those punch stats as if Jesus Christ recorded them.. They are BEYOND subjective and if fights could be determined on “punch stats” then judges would not be needed and pro boxing with be a computer game as opposed to a sport.. The punches that mattered and left the strongest impression were almost ALL landed by Floyd Mayweather, Maidana gets credit for his sustained swarming and unorthodox attack, that said boxers tend to like and die on clean punching ESPECIALLY to the cranium and it was Maidanas dome that was being clearing turned around by Mayweathers, timing and accuracy… Chino needs to work on punching straight, I hope a rematch is in the offing.

Posted May 15, 2014 2:03 pm

SREDMOND

Mike Tyson, Hatton was NOT a “hard fight” he was schooled and knocked flat out to record his first professional loss at the hands of Mayweather.. Maidanas aggressive, unorthodox style made for an intriguing contest at times but alas his punches yielded no real results because A.) he missed MOST B.) the ones that landed were mostly glancing, slipped or rolled.. He ate the BIG eyecatching shots and was getting taken nicely in the final rounds.. I applaud Chinos effort and he surely made Floyd work for the 32 mill plus, but alas he is another guy who is being patted on the back for the quality of his LOSING effort against Mayweather as opposed to the quality of his winning effort… Again another feather in the OLDER fighters hat…

Truth_and_Only_The_Truth, the shoulder roll don’t work for muti combo punches fighters inside.
That Bradley, porter, PAC maidana, and they are also slugger/ boxer they better inside and can’t get a ko inside) because it will block one punch but another on its way.

Floyd had no choice but To trade. Why? Because if he box and did slip down under a attack and side slip he can see the muti pinches and he smart ( sr mayweather experince not roger) he could get knock out asia better to see the punch coming, and that is to trade, pluss sr mayweather as coach is part of why Floyd dong this.

SREDMOND, Floyd had his hardest fight since hatten, it had to go to the cards a split decission not a UD. all the judge Agree and gave maidana 3 round. But really maidana won all the 5 round and the
9 or 10 round forgot. Many sore froum say the same thing. And why it is wasn’t close Floyd said a rematch is possible .but after viewing the rematch. He didn’t replied back to maidana who said Floyd had a way to box him why did he have no answer after maidana punch him he could punch him all night. 227 punches landed.

Posted May 15, 2014 12:57 pm

Truth_and_Only_The_Truth

So since Floyd had an action fight with Maidana automatically Pac might knock him out, cuz Pac better than Maidana? Ha! Floyd wld box pac instead of brawling..And when he faces fighter who are fast and/or southpaw he uses the highguard instead of the shoulder roll. .he only uses the shoulder roll once he’s figured a fighter out..check the Zab fight. .Pac on the other hand has problems with counter-punchers and boxers(Marquez, Morales, Cotto 1st 4 rounds, Clottey at times)

Posted May 15, 2014 12:56 pm

HaHaHa Mayweather got WAYYYYY past the free swinging yet largely inaccurate Maidana because he WON absent losing a single card.. All these punch stats make me laugh, as they have no bearing on the outcome and if you believe them gospel the Maidana spent most of the bout hitting air and giving dopey fans blue balls dreaming he was gonna floor Floyd Mayweather, instead he was taken over during the stretch and his hard work won him “honorable mention” in the pantheon of guys who’s azzes Mayweather kicked..

Now you see why this guy doesn’t want to fight Pacquiao. A c rated fighter who adjusted his game a little and had BALLS put his head in this PRETENDERS chest, pressuring him all night and almost came out with a draw at least. I said before the Guerrero and Canelo fights were a mirage cause they were limited and in awe of this guys rep. They fought like it. Too bad Maidana didn’t have a more complete game. He woulda won, even with this bullcrap about the gloves. Commission says in the end the gloves were ok and this PRETENDER throws a sissy fit and tells the commission what to do? Wrong tumbo , back then Manny was the talk of the town, Floyd was retired then, after PAC beat Oscar marquez said in a inter view ” he said was Floyd is the real p4p champion not manny” this was a jab to manny as he hate manny, this wasn’t a challenge to Floyd, as Floyd said it was.

Check Marquez fight stats back then he was fighting at 137lb jr WW he had to gain 7 lb and he fought Floyd at 144 lb Floyd was 157lb fight weight 145 lb and Floyd rehydrated back to 154 lb he was heavy back then. Floyd fought a fighter 2 class lower.

I don’t count this as a Floyd win if you count this weight Diffrence, you have to count manny and cotto. Cotto had to lose about 7 lb too.

Floyd did the same to Ricky hatten a J.WW 140 lb fought him at 147 lb another 7 lb Diffrence .
PAC fought Ricky at his real unbeaten weight 140 lb.

Floyd did the same to canelo. He had to lose 15 lb in the 30 days WBA weigh in.

And Floyd has 46 fight total. Manny has 63 fight total. 17 fight more.
Manny has more win than Floyd.

And Floyd has trouble with slugger, or insider fighter that PAC speciality it what he does best . He would beat maidana to a UD. Floyd had a hard time with chino. LOL Alexander, khan both beat chino on a UD. LOL……

Paer Floyd was never close to loosing to Marcos one of the judges need they head examined. Nothing about knees head butt and rabbit punches made him beat Floyd or even come close. He missed the majority of the shot he threw 800 and landed 200. Hitting below the belt he won rounds I give you that but guys always win rounds on Floyd.

Posted May 14, 2014 6:17 pm

Nope with or without Manny Floyd is already cemented. He made 70+ million fighting Maidana. Arum is the block forever seening these guys in the ring. No one is afraid of Manny everyone from Danny Garcia to Broner, has called him out but you will never see big fights like that being made. Bob Arum is perfectly fine in making Manny fight Marquez over and over we dont see the big fights and Manny stays broke. Floyd will always be on top for this reason. Manny looked very average and tired in his rematch with Bradley and it was a very lack luster event. Now there is going to be a Marquez 5 my point exactly. Floyd never had the power to make this fight Arum told Manny to walk away over blood testing when in face everyone else takes the same test nothing unreasonable about making the fight fair.

Posted May 14, 2014 6:13 pm

I Think Floyd would beat Pac. He is still just as good as he was when beating Canelo. What make him almost loose to Maidana was Maidana. He have vastly improved since loosing to Khan. Maidana would beat Pac to, and probably Floyd if they meet again if he keeps improving at the same rate. I guess the future belongs to Maidana.

“. . . the reason he hand picked Marquez” WRONG. it was Marquez who challenged a semi-retired Mayweather who came off of a two-year layoff to defeat Marquez. incredibly, Marquez had deluded himself into thinking that Floyd would be a steppingstone(?!?) to his primary target of Pacquiao*. not unlike many Napman* fans who think Pacquiao* has a chance v. Read Manny Pacquiao Wikipedia for a good bit of pertinent info……Pacquiao* DID NOT want stringent blood testing! Right NOW for Team-PacROID* more money is absolutely necessary, so even if he loses against Mayweather – drug testing with “no cut off” will NOW – NOT be an issue. 30, 24, 14, or 7 day cut off periods is suddenly not an issue for Team-PacROID*, nor are needles. There’s info all over the net concerning the dispute. Fans “choose” to gravitate to what they “want” to look for & believe regarding the dispute.

The reason he hand picked Marquez was because at the time he was 2 weight divisions below Mayweather and would have to gain unnatural weight to fight Mayweather. Knowing this, Mayweather still came in overweight (on purpose) and paid Marquez an extra $600,000 for being overweight…chump change for Mayweather. On top of that, Mayweather refused to get weighed on Fight night because he had gained even more weight. Just look at the fight and you’ll see that Mayweather looks around 15 pounds heavier than Marquez on fight night. Also, prior to this fight, Marquez had never fought against somebody at that weight…not even close. Marquez was usually fighting at 130. And still, Mayweather couldn’t knock out this Lightweight.

Mayweather and Arum will NEVER work together and caring about this fight is pretty tired beyond the magnitude of the event it would still generate… When Marquez knocked Pacquiao cold he pretty much depleted the Lions share of the intrigue from the contest…These men are OLD and with a Maidana rematch looming the odds are BEYOND low that during FMJs final 2 bouts he is gonna work with TR absent Arum having a heart attack at the MGM grand.

Posted May 13, 2014 1:46 pm

SREDMOND

Pacquiao is barely at Top 3 threat to Mayweather at this point, Floyd has been in with STRONGER, BIGGER, HARDER punchers and has not lost a single card nor tasted the deck over his last 3 bouts… Canelo, Maidana, and Cotto all bang harder than Pacquiao and none could even hurt Floyd let alone defeat him… Pac Man would be outsized and handled pretty easily by Floyd… Add to this his Marquez induced fear of getting KOed we know he is gonna lose to FMJ handily, because he has no route to victory.. I love Manny but Bradley who has NO power had him reluctant to go full throttle.

Every boxing fan knows that your mother nut is avoiding pac. The title should read as “Floyd Sr is still high on crack” and you numbnuts are smoking it.

IF Pacquiao* really wanted to face the Undefeated Floyd, he would simply agree to all of Floyd’s conditions for the first fight and turn the negotiating table on Mayweather for the rematch, which would be mandatory in the event of a Mayweather loss. of course, NObody believes that Mayweather will lose, which is why Pacquiao* is de$perate to make his one and only encounter v. “Money” count.

Posted May 13, 2014 1:30 pm

te tumbo

it’s not necessary for Floyd Sr. to confirm what every fight-fan already knows: Pacquiao* has never been on Floyd’s level. especially the Arizaless Pacquiao* who looked conspicuously mortal and fatigued during the first half of his fight v. Bradley. only his darting feet –NOT his once-explosive fists– enabled him to survive that bout. whether it be in 2010 or 2015, this matchup has always been a lopsided mismatch in Mayweather’s favor. why else would Punkuiao* turn down $25-$50 million over harmless testing? also, how could Mayweather possibly know that testing would be a deal-breaker for Team Punkuiao*? HOW?

They should make the gloves and the ring smaller. After all, its a fight, right? most fights in the street are in close quarters. School yard fights are fought within a circle of kids that close in on to see the action.

Time is catching up to both of these fighters. Floyd seems to have lost a touch of his speed, and Manny doesn’t have the stamina that he once had. I would love to see this fight take place in an 18ft ring. Less running and more fighting.

Mayweather’s last fight shows age is catching up with him. He’s much slower and can easily be cornered by Maidana. Pacquiao is younger and if you notice Filipinos don’t age as fast, I mean they look younger for their aged, therefore at aged 40 Manny will still be in his prime and will easily dominate Mayweather if they both agree for the fight that the fans want. . . .This maybe the main reason why Mayweather is avoiding Pacquiao and I don’t blame him. I wish Pacquiao will give up Arun before it becomes too late for a Mega fight.

Floyd carried Maidana. The cut was the cut. It’s the theater of the unexpected. He didn’t want a cut. But I know u seen how easily he turned Maidana. Marcos does not have the same level of skill as a Prime JLC… Granted Garcia smoothed out some crudeness of his swarming style. Floyd wasn’t adjusting for Khan’s religious beliefs, (khan outside of Manny and the higher weights) make him the most dough. He saw the landscape and realized man there aint no opponents built up for September. Porter fights Brook, One-time doesn’t have a name yet, Swift is fighting in July, so who else was there but Maidana to begin with. He even brought out the circus clowns for the show he gave. The man commented correctly, and the world is abuzz thinking that Floyd was forced to fight this fight. Ariza even said Floyd didn’t have to fight that fight which means he carried Maidana in other words. He proved that He and Broner are not alike…AB was caught w every over hand right MM threw… Floyd showed so much skill in that fight it made the opponents S/C coach buss a nut over him..what type of shat is that…

Although Mayweather won, I think his performance against Maidana was maybe his worse showing. In terms of how much it was said Maidana was no real threat, and how little Floyd did. I think we have seen the “overnight” change in Money May. Prime is now officially past him.

Posted May 13, 2014 5:20 am

If Floyd Sr is really convinced that his son would dominate Pacquiao then he shoudl convince Floyd Jr. to fight Pacquiao! That’s the most logical in any sane person’s mind. However, since Floyd Jr. doesn’t want to fight Pacquiao, then the only reason is that he believes that Pacquiao will dominate him.

Posted May 13, 2014 5:06 am

Granger

But it’s strange to see Floyd Sr. talking boldly about how Mayweather would dominate Pacquiao when he couldn’t even beat Maidana convincingly…. After seeing Mayweather Jr. taken to the edge by Maidana, I think it’s pretty much self-evident that Pacquiao would beat Mayweather with pressure and a high punch volume…. If a B level fighter like Maidana was able to give Mayweather huge problems and almost beat him, then it seems only obvious that Pacquiao would beat him if that fight were to be made….. Mayweather is probably doing the right thing by choosing not to fight Pacquiao because if that fight were to be made at this point in his career, he’d likely lose and lose badly to the Filipino star” – All valid points that only a total homer could deny!!

Hecdog

Many are saying what I’ve already known for years. Manny Pacquiao, the only 8 division boxing champion in history would destroy Floyd Mayweather if they ever fought. Manny’s speed, power, athleticism, and unorthodox southpaw fighting stance would offset all that Mayweather offers. This fight will never happen, but the truth of the matter is that in their primes, Manny Pacquiao stops Floyd Mayweather in the middle rounds. Manny Pacquiao is the greatest pure fighting machine that has ever put on a pair of gloves. His reign of terror was something fight fans will never see again. We all watched in fear as Manny Pacquiao not only beat the best of his time in 8 divisions, but we saw total destruction as fighter after fighter lay face first on the canvas. This was a Manny Pacquiao that could not be beaten. All this from a little man that carried thunderous power in both hands. Floyd Mayweather would not have had a clue as to how to stop this hurricane of a fighter. I had to turn away from some of his fights because of the pure violence that was at hand. Ricky Hatton, Diaz, Margarito and many others were left scattered in agony and pain. Floyd Mayweather does not have the style, heart or understanding of how to beat the legendary, greatest fighter of all time, Manny Pacquiao. Floyd avoided fighting Manny Pacquiao because he feared for his life and a loss to his tarnished boxing record. Manny Pacquiao has proven his greatness in the ring over and over. He fears no one. He has no excuses. He fought them all. Manny Pacquiao will go down in the history books as the man that scared Floyd Mayweather to death. Manny Pacquiao is the greatest fighter of all time and his 8 division titles proves it. The Fighter of The decade in Floyd’s decade proves it. Manny Pacquiao carried boxing for over 10 years. This is a man that did what others couldn’t do. A living legend. Manny is boxing, trust me on this. Manny is the best!

The punch stats were DEAD WRONG… Watch the stupid fight yourself because Floyd landed more legal punches in almost every round.

Punches to the back, the legs, behind the head, after the bell, on the break, and low blows, are not legal punches. Some Castillo relative or Floyd hater was inflating the numbers for Castillo, and missing many of Floyd’s punches.

As it is Floyd won by 4 or 5 points on ALL SCORECARDS and then did a repeat job where even Castillo’s mother knew he lost the fight. They had 3 judges but only one guy counting the punches — so the judges were more accurate.

Actually no that is not true. They agreed to 50/50 in the first negotiations but they turned down drug testing. Now the numbers are proof that Pac will never get 50/50. You don’t get that when you are not the one bringing in most of the purchases. Pac had a chance at 50/50 and didn’t accept it. That is on him and Arum not Floyd.

Floyd could have easily got robbed though I say outbox everyone and dont take chances he wasnt stupid enough to do that with Canelo he would have got KTFO. But Maidana was MMA all the way. PEEJ and Danni, you sound like hypocrites, although you are not. Whenever people argue that Mayweather won a fight, they go to punch stats, claim he is an accurate puncher and argue how may he has landed, e.g. his stats against Maidana who threw twice as many punches. Castillo in the 1st fight did not only throw ~200 punches more, he landed almost the double amount of power shots. His accuracy was 46% to FLoyd’s 44%. He won the majority of rounds, won the second half of the fight and the last three round relatively clear. Mayweather was lucky the fight happened in Vegas, seriously. It would have been/was his 1st loss. He did win the 2nd one, no question.
“You guys” can not constantly take different positions to argue your points! Please think about it…

Manny looked like crap against Bradley in the rematch I wasnt impressed he was certianly not the same fighter as he once was. He looked gassed at times and uninterested in engaging. Tim punched himself out of the fight after the 6th and gave it to Manny. Pac takes breaks during rounds you cannot do that with Floyd. Alot of people think Maidana gave Floyd a tough bout but the majority of his shots didnt land he threw 800 punches and connected with 200. Floyd beat Manny easy as long as he is clean.

Floyd didn’t use PED against Maidana it showed in his performance. His previous fight against Canelo he had more stamina he ran & back pedaled faster against Canelo. Mayweather knows when to use PED depending who he’s fighting

Floyd also moved more with subtle movements to avoid the advances of Canelo. Canelo didn’t press the attack like Maidana did for most of the fight. He also didn’t brutalize Floyd’s body and back of the head like Maidana did.

Different fighters. Different strategies. Different fight.

Also, remember, if you have been paying attention to sports, Older athletes tend to have more ups and downs. They have more “off nights” than their younger counterparts.

Pressing the attack on an Older fighter is the best thing you can do.

The difference between Floyd and Pacquiao, Floyd’s fans pay to watch Floyd fight in America while Pac’s fans watch it for free in Philipines and yet the PPV revenues are almost the same.

Floyd Sr. trashing Pacquiao and Thurman outside the ring because he knows this two will beat Floyd, he will never let his son fight Pacquiao and Thurman.
Posted May 12, 2014 8:30 pm

If they “are almost the same” then Pac needs to ask Uncle Bob to open the books because My Man is getting ripped off.
Of course, it could be that and it could just be down to Floyd positioning himself to see those books, have that gold bricks come through him first, and then starts to dish out the coins he made.
Pac should take note.

We all know Floyd vs Manny will be competitive but NO One knows who will win. We know how to beat Manny because he has lost several times. We do not know how to beat Floyd. This pundit says.., “Mayweather is probably doing the right thing by choosing not to fight Pacquiao—because if that fight were to be made at this point in his career, he’d likely lose and lose badly to the Filipino star.”

Floyd is not doing the right thing because everybody wants to see the fight.

Secondly I don’t think it’s a fight Floyd would likely lose … just a risky fight where he’d be maybe a 9/5 favorite. Any time you have over a 35% chance of losing, that’s a pretty significant risk to take.

Pacquiao is smaller than Floyd and doesn’t have the punching power at 147 to drive Floyd all over the ring like Maidana did. Pacquiao is a boxer. A jabber and hooker who works angles and beats welterweights on points.

Boxing is Floyd’s forte—so he might be good.. A lot of Pacquiao’s angles are pretty tricky and Floyd never fought him. That’s where the risk comes in. It did take a few rounds for Floyd to adjust to the very punchable, but tricky and fast southpaw, Zab Judah.. Adjusting late or not at all, and Pacquiao winning a solid 7 or 8 rounds … that’s where the significant risk comes in.

So Floyd is cautious with only 3 fights left… wouldn’t you be???

DeLahoya abandoned the Jab and Floyd cranked up the right hands to pull that fight out. I believe Pac presents a lot more angles and combinations. Pac is also a SouthPaw that is dangerous with both hands. I don’t think he will get tired and frustrated like Corley and Judah did. Both of those guys gave Floyd some trouble early in the fight. Pac and Roach also know how to win rounds. Pac and Roach always like to win by KO if possible, but they don’t waste rounds looking for the KO. They just keep scoring with both hands and trying to be defensively responsible.

I have only watched the Floyd Chino fight with the volume down and I thought it was a snoozer. Neither fighter did much that was effective. I only gave Chino a few rounds and that is only because Floyd just did so much less in those rounds. Despite “count a punch” stats, Chino landed very few clean punches and nothing effective. He looked like Sakio Bika–just rough. Although much more accurate than Chino was, Floyd was not nearly as accurate as he had been in past fights. I think Floyd will beat him easier the second time just like he did Castillo in their second fight. Believe me, Floyd will jump at the chance of fighting Chino again. People will be dumb enough to pay for it again and he knows he can out point him easily. I still think Pac would give Floyd more trouble, although Floyd would definitely train harder for it. At one time, I thought right after Pac beat Cotto, he would have certainly beaten Floyd. After seeing Pac decline a little over the past few years, I thought it was too late. But after seeing Floyd against Chino I think the Pac fight is viable again. Floyd will pick Chino over fighting Pac any day.

And still we discuss, whatever the result this fight really does capture the imagination, Floyd would have to show everything he has, and when Manny gets his opportunities to attack on the ropes he would get through…….so what would happen……fcuk knows. Travesty

Strange how hate twists a view even after a decade. I disliked Pop and the Uncle…that was way back when one watched fights in bars…and not alone with a bundle of hate. It was the first fight I seen Jr. in. Was well prepared not to like him either. There was no live and death struggle with Castillo…

Mayweather was like a superball on coke for the first 6 rounds….using the ropes like a wrestler….never there to get hit, and hit Castillo with Curtis Cokes get out of Dodge jabs it appeared. Jr. took a couple of other rounds after the 6th when he slowed down a bit….the 12th was great…I finally saw a Mayweather stand up and fight. He lost the round…and even some one who never liked a Mayweather…..I never hated them.
Just did not care for the hit and run.

I’d never seen any of the two fight, living in Germany.
Hey, I was hoping Jr. would lose. All I’d read was hate about him. Not a single person alive liked him.

He won, and easily….true Castillo took a few rounds, but until the 12th, there was no life or death at all.
The 12th was not live or death either…..a real hard fought round, that he lost….but it was a very good round, he fought it well, Castillo fought it better.

I had finally seen a Mayweather stand up and fight.

It wasn’t even close, the first 6 rounds to Mayweather clear as a bell, then he took a couple of the others clearly too.
8-4 was the way I saw it.
The next fight Mayweather took too, and no life and death at all. A easier fight for Mayweather.

I guess Willie Pep would be hated today too…or a Bones Brown.

Floyd will duck Manny forever! Floyd will pick apart GB fighters and pay them peanuts. Floyd is 38 years old and there’s no way he will pick somebody who he can’t beat. Come on who wants to earn 1.5 million and can bent thier knees to kiss Floyd’s black ass? Every B level fighters GB have. Floyd makes 36 million and then his opponents win the lottery by getting 1.5 millions. Wow!

Good to read your posts on here and other threads. Yep. I think we may have had things a little tougher back in the days but at least we were able to play out and discover the real world without having to keep up with the Jones’s on the internet, Facebook or Twitter. I wouldn’t swap my childhood with today’s generation. No way.
By the way we also had so many great fights back then, no disrespect to today’s boxers, but we wre spoilt by so many top fighters and great fights.

Blame the fans. If the fans didn’t pay them the money they are currently making, especially Floyd at this point, then we wouldn’t have much of a problem because they would have to fight to make huge money. That’s the way it used to be: EDUCATED FANS, which would even include Casual Fans, BACK IN THE DAY, would put up big money ONLY for SUPER-FIGHTS. A “SUPER-FIGHT” back then had TWO STARS, not just One. Today, listening to Lil Wayne is considered listening and watching Prime Michael Jackson perform. That’s what we are dealing with.

Convince urself even more, so that the fight can be done. But more than that, when the low result of the May-Maidana PPV is in, there is no further convincing needed, i guess. Either May fights Pacquiao, or Showtime goes bankrupt. May just dont generate the millions of dollars needed to allow Showtime to break even. Boxing is business right? So the the TBE will have to be replaced: The Business Event – Mayweather vs. Paccquiao.

I also think that FMJ would win vs. Pacquiao, but it could be a great fight. The best way to convince everybody is to actually fight Pac, but FMJ knows that although his chances to win are good, there is a chance he could lose this, and he doesn’t want to get his cherry picked by Pac.

Anonymous.lol you picked up on that im no teen pretty well by my posting. Yes kids are a bit too concerned with social media. Its still the 30 to 40 somethings keeping the pubs and clubs open. In my area we have a lot less pubs and clubs from 20 years ago but more population. Go figure. Internet and tv are eroding people skill. 60 years ago there would be at least one family member who would play an instrument and nearly all would have a d.i.y skill like tiling, plastering etc. And we could all identify different trees, birds and fruits while out for a walk.

I agree with you, but it seems nowadays kids aren’t brought up tough like we were back in the day and sadly online abuse has led to many kids committing suicide because of it, so unfortunately it is serious and anything that helps gets the thumbs up from me.
Kids should be allowed to be kids and have fun. The world is a tough enough place as it is!

I copied this from International Business Times:

According to Fighthype.com, Mayweather and Bieber have so many things in common. Not known to many, Mayweather and Bieber met through John Shahidi, the co-founder and chief executive officer of Shots Mobile, Inc. Shahidi’s company later on developed an anti-bullying application called Shots where in users can post pictures that neither can be filtered nor edited, without a commenting platform.

The pair are among the celebrities who take bullying seriously. It is the very reason why they were so keen to support the Shots app. “It is the one place where they can feel comfortable freely sharing positive moments of their lives without the worry of negativity and ridicule from naysayers.”

The Web site further reported that Mayweather and Bieber have plans of putting up more businesses in the future.

Floyd Mayweather and Justin Bieber are business partners in an anti-bullying app that you can post pictures online and not be cyber-bullied. They first met through business and then found out Bieber is a big fan of boxing. Can’t remember name of product, but they are business partners first and foremost who are now good friends. I think you should be able to google the anti-bullying product.

I am not postin g too fast. Having just finished the first Castillo fight, I know that Floyd can be defeated (regardless of what the judges voted). As for Pacquiao, the fight must take place and the fighters will show who can do what to whom. Other than that, it is all speculation. Make the fight, and then we can all have fun speaking our minds as to who will win. Failing to make the fight only yields a great deal more hot air, and it is long past time for that to end.

I dont see pacman beating floyd now maybe 3 years ago when the fight was relevant. Floyd last fight was a tough fight against a careless wild fighter. after watching the fight chino punches where wild and most didnt land against floyd along the ropes, floyd had to dig to win the fight. Now pacman would do no such thing, since he knows the importance of the fight he would be cautious like he was with bradley, and would be a boring fight due to his weakness of figthing a counter puncher. Floyd would win a uni decision
