Sounds like Provodnikov is being DUCKED to me……Posted May 28, 2014 1:50 pm
I don’t think Pacquiao is worried about it.Posted May 27, 2014 7:08 pm
I would really like to see Maidana and Pac for some reason…kinda like a measuring stick from the Mayweather fight. If not chino, Garcia would be interesting.Posted May 27, 2014 12:30 pm
Manny bs thurman or porter would be greatPosted May 27, 2014 11:14 am
PAC Man has Provo and Marquez that’s it over at TR, and Provo is not gonna sell worth a damn if Rios tanked.. If ever GBP wanted to really SQUEEZE the Pacquaio brand this is the time, odds favor Marquez fighting Manny, it’s the only big money fight available to him.. A Bradley rematch is HO Hum ..Posted May 27, 2014 9:31 am
Agreed-good readPosted May 27, 2014 7:34 am
I have to say that I don’t like Bob Arum and the ridiculous promoter war between Top Rank and Golden Boy is stupid and bad for boxing …
However, Provodnikov is a dangerous opponent for Pacquiao.
I think the idea that Provodnikov was an ESPN fighter at one point does not mean he doesn’t have power, good combinations, and a good chin.
I actually think that fight would be bad for boxing because as has been said by the author and this board, it would not do well in terms of PPV buys. So, the fight doesn’t make sense for Pacquiao. In my opinion, Provodnikov is high risk for low reward. If Marquez says NO and Pacquiao-Marquez 5 does not materialize, then it might be a good thing and finally get Top Rank and Golden Boy to do something. It would not be Mayweather — but maybe Manny Pacquiao vs. Danny Garcia or Amir Khan or Robert Guerrero … or Marcos Maidana. Any of these fights would be 1+ million PPV buys.Posted May 27, 2014 7:31 am
If Juan Manuel Marquez says no then …
Manny Pacquiao will agree to fight Bob Arum himself.
Millions of fans will pay $70 to watch Pacquiao beat the crap out of that greedy old fool.
This would also reflect who is left in the Bob Arum stable of fighters. No one.Posted May 27, 2014 7:25 am
Pacman vs Khan??Posted May 27, 2014 7:18 am
….doesn’t this just smack of the politics and ‘money men’ that continue to keep a stranglehold on this fantastic sport? The bottom line is for years, millions on fight fans have called for money v pac…..but still through ‘politics’ (and ok, perhaps a reluctance from Floyd) we are still not even close; never likely to be either!
Great fight him and Danny. 140 would be a great weight even 147 if Danny wants to come upPosted May 27, 2014 3:45 am
i would love to see pac vs d. garcia at 140 or 147Posted May 27, 2014 1:53 am
