The same Harold Sconiers who put Wilder on his ass.

I saw all his ESPN2 bouts. What I saw is him walk through their punches and knock them out. No trouble there unless you mean he’d be in trouble absorbing flush shots against the top names.

If Wilder took the McCline fight now, everyone would just say hes handpicking a way past it, inactive former challenger!

McCline lost to Harold Sconiers 6 months ago. The same Harold Sconiers Wilder knocked out in his 14th fight.

Yea Luke, he’s never been in trouble. He Ko’s his guys pretty quick.

McCline cam in shape for his last fight and was dangerous. Don’t count him out if he is motivated.

This is how how is done… If youare tko everyone than jump to a better competition sooner because you need tougher opponent who can prepare you for what is to come… Unlike dontay wilder who is fighting weak opponent for too long , that is not helpful he needs to step it out, imagine if wilder took mcline fight now?

Dude’s only had 15 fights he’s facing good comp for a guy who’s still a relative novice. McCline is a legit top 30 heavyweight. I wish other prospects would take a similar path but they’re overprotected.

Come on….no he is not considering Mago for a final opponent!! Sheesh!! He will go out in bigger style than that! Probably Haye. Please don’t ever say that again!! hahaha

That’s exactly right in my opinion….however we don’t know his stamina because he has never been past 4. He might fade fast, who knows, but I agree wit you.

Not sure what fight you mean because I’ve never seen him in any kind of trouble at all. Slow starer is all, but it only takes him a couple of rounds to start pouring on the destruction.

Torgo

The time-honored tradition of a rising KO specialist facing a fading “name” veteran. I suppose this is better than not fighting at all and better than fighting an out-and-out tomato can but this fight will be a little better than treading water.

FA…saw mago once on Espn and was in fairly serious troub against one of those panhandlers!!

Mago will knock him out in early rounds. He’s just too powerful and mean for McCline.

We may be a little harsh on Wilder. Maybe they are bringing him on just right. Like with QBs in football, some come out of the gate slinging and some sit, learn and after being written off pop off a SB ala Warner. Dude was bagging groceries and then was like Drew Brees. :!:

This is a nice match up – mcline is not as easy to knock out as you people seem to think and even at this stage, he can be a real handful (ask artur spizka) – hes a massive man and if he comes out aggressively with his head right, then mago may get derailed here. If he manages to get rid of jameel fast then i will be very impressed. I smell a surprise coming here though

philly shell

He’ll always have a punchers chance, but he lacks the technical skills to contend with the Klitschkos.

say what you want about magomed abdusalamov’s leaky defense the kind of shots he is throwing if he tags “big time”he’s gonna go (either hand) if he tag’s any fighter with one of those shots it is all over

Mago’s a little slow but dude is a beast and I expect he’ll KO McCline. Compare Mago’s 15-0(15) record against decent comp to Wilder’s 24-0 (24) against panhandlers and drunks for a sign of who the real prospect is.

The very, very best scenario that Jameel McCline can hope for is to go the distance against Abdusalamov and not get knocked out by him.

Trevor

No killer instinct means Big Time Jameel McCline can`t finish his opponent when he has them hurt like he had Szpilka,Chris Byrd, Sam Peter etc.,Jameel is a gentle giant, for him to beat Abdusalamov he would have to unlock his inner beast or killer instinct and asking him to do that is like asking him to turn down a second helping of barbecue ribs at the church picnic.

Mago on the Vitali undercard? Is Vitali considering his next and maybe final opponent? Also the new layout sucks – takes forever to load, less content on the page. No doubt better ad revenue for our friends at ESB though.

big head

we all know mago going to win this fight mccline is pretty much done the questions is can mago knock him out mccline aint a easy guy to knockout so if mago can do that then that be kinda impressive

McCline would have been a good test – five or six years ago! At this point, not so much. He’s been finished for years. Still, better than what Deontay Wilder has been up to, I suppose.

Pistol Pete

McCline has no stamina. He`s only good for about three rounds and then he gases out. He does well in the early rounds but he just can`t close the show because of a lack of stamina.

easy win for Mago.

I have heard of Harold Sconiers. Deontay Wilder was knocked down by him. Wilder knocked him down four times and won via 4th-round TKO.
It was the best performance of any Wilder opponent so far.

Big Time by KO – and I can’t wait!

I don’t think there is any way McCline can win. On his best day, ten years ago, he was only a fair-to-moderate boxer, at best. Earlier this year, he lost to a guy named Harold Sconiers, a guy Jameel outweighed by 60 lbs. Sconiers (has ANYONE ever heard of him?) has lost over half of his 43 fights. McCline would be lucky to go the distance with him.

An aging McCline is much like an aging McCall or a Ross Purrity from the past. A good fighter will beat them, but knocking them out is a whole other ball game. KOing McCline is a huge feather in one’s cap.
