DaTruth Hurts

Most if not all of the Sore Loser Rants on these Boards are not from Argentinians.. they’re from Sore Losing Chihuahuas like te tumbo, who prayed to their Santa Muerte Saint for Sergio to Beat the Puerto Rican Super Star Cotto… Because it drives them insane when a Puerto Rican gets such Attention and Accolades.. LOL fkers never change..

Funny thing is I like Sergio, nice guy great story but in the 24/7 he was moaning and groaning about Cotto making demands and acting like a Diva.. his Biggest Gripe was claiming that Cotto wanted Sergio to enter first even though Sergio was the Champ? but come fight night we saw Cotto come in first with no fan fair or music.. plain and simple entrance.. So what was Sergio Biatchin about over those two episodes? seems like in the End Sergio proved to be the High Maintenance Diva who got knockedafkout Cold.. Bad night for Sergio and his Trainer who was just as Cockeey… Martinez and his Trainer were lying about Cotto.

An impressive victory for Cotto and Roach. It’s undermined a small bit due to Sergio’s age and injuries, but even then as Max Kellerman mentioned, “You are still the middleweight champion of the world and a welterweight shouldn’t put a hurting on you.”

Unfortunately for Sergio his time in the ring is over. He needs to worry about his health and shouldn’t box again.

For Cotto the opportunities are endless. He could try his hand at Quillin or GGG but I don’t see him winning those. Instead if I was him, towards the end of his career and now calling the shots, I would go for the profitable fights such as Canelo(or Lara) or Floyd.

If Cotto can train just as hard and

Full Vessell

@ cotton.. no disrespect brah.. I will agree with you and say that Manny will probably go down as one of the best of our era because of the way he has come up in weight..

Both parties are actually repsonsible for that fight not happening.. too many egos, conflicting interests etc..Floyd’s key key reason is that he feels he deserves the lionshare of the money and the likes of espinoza, schaefer and haymon just want to drive uncle bob into bankruptcy..

I don’t ever believe it is the fighters themselves that are scared, rather it is their teams who dont want to lose cash cows..

Floyd needs to fight Bradley or pacman before he retires imho..those are the two in his weight class that I would consider elite..

WHAT A JOKE!!!!!!!

What Freddie Roach fails to do is realize reality almost every time he speaks. He fails to mention that the fighter Cotto just beat is a shot fighter. I love how Cotto is such a “dangerous” fighter now that he beat a shot Martinez, but if Floyd fought Cotto again, he’d beat him again because Floyd is simply the better fighter and always has been. Then ppl will be saying Floyd CHERRY-PICKED Cotto and he’s ducking MMMaidana & Khan & Pacquaio & Ali & Tyson & Klitcho & Sugar Ray Leonard & etc etc etc blah blah blah……right haters????? Isn’t that how it goes after every significant victory in boxing????? Floyd this, Floyd that, Floyd Floyd Floyd Floyd Floyd #hashtag hate Floyd!!!

Na slim Floyd alright was just stating that cotto has a big heart in taking on the mw champ. Wladimir Klitschko that’s my nig. Wbo, Wba, Ibf and ring champ of the entire world!

Posted June 7, 2014 3:30 pm

@Sean Patrick Harrington…Maybe Floyd knows his limitations. Hes a 146lb fighter, Martinez just weighed in 159lbs easy. Next your gonna want him to fight the Klits. Lol

Posted June 7, 2014 2:34 pm

neither were ever a lightweight stupid

Posted June 7, 2014 12:44 pm

hope the blow up lightweight wins.

Funny thing… Margo was killing everyone before his plaster machinations were uncovered by Nazim. After he was found out he turned in a flaccid punching bag. Hmmmm….

Havoc lmfao. Marg beat Martinez what ten years ago? lmfao. Cotto did beat marg in the rematch which took place after grampa mosley knocked marg out! Than pac man beat him to death breaking his entire face. Than yeah cotto beat him after those two brutal beatings. Lmfao

I think Cotto is crazy for taking this match but it just shows he has great heart and don’t back down from anyone. Martinez called Floyd out twice and Floyd said he had no fans which means I don’t want to fight that guy. Big props to Miguel and how shameful for Floyd.

Posted June 7, 2014 11:55 am

Martinez is just too big. On another note, i watched Freddie do the mitts with Provodnikov sitting on the apron. Provodnikov is a world beater. His power is insane but the real key is he never gets tired. They went seven rounds and he never lost a single step the entire time. He’s definitely a guy you want to avoid.

Auz, do really think these fighters are going to stick around while Oscar is in and out of rehab? Boxing is a very fickle business and stability is hard to find. No way young fighters are going to stick around for all this, there time in the spotlight is too short. Sooner or later all this garbage is going to catch up to Oscar, in fact it is catching up to him now. First the the non-compete clause is completely unconfirmed and I would bet Schaefer has an out if his business partner isn’t hold up his end. Oscar has already lost his biggest fighter in Mayweather. Al Hamon wasn’t doing business with Golden Boy because of Oscar but because of Schaefer. You don’t just walk out in the street and find a CEO like Schaefer who built the wealth of Oscar even before the promotion company. You really think a guy with an obvious coke problem is going to keep his stable? You will see in a about a years time that Golden Boy will be a shell of what it is. Hamon’s fighters will be signing elsewhere. Oscar was building an empire expanding beyond boxing and he has no idea what he is doing without Schaefer.

The Prince

Martinez, based his style off of Roy Jones Jr; An athlete style that uses reflexes, speed, and sharp movement as a strength to throw off opponents and set them up for big shots. If Martinez aged during his year off, he won’t be able to use his feet like Roy Jones today. And like Roy Jones, he’ll be stationary enough to get caught. And like Jones, Martinez doesn’t have a very strong chin and can get knocked down and out.

Posted June 7, 2014 11:35 am

If Cotto can perform like in his last fight (best ive see in years and looked better than in the Mayweather fight), Cotto wins and possibly by KO. His weight point to that…so i will pick Cotto by surprising domination or late ko.

Posted June 7, 2014 8:43 am

Yeh agree slim but I think if cotto can win his thinking was to fight canelo first defence, but to be honest I’m not sure cotto or canelo are getting the W in thier upcoming bouts. Both really tough fights.

Posted June 7, 2014 5:43 am

@Auzbox…Cotto getting $7M??! He was offered $13M to fight Canelo. I would of took that instead, and let Martinez get a little older. oh well too late now!

Posted June 7, 2014 3:43 am

Martinez lost to Margacheato a thousand years ago…

Posted June 7, 2014 3:37 am

cotto doesn’t have a snowflake’s chance in hell

Posted June 7, 2014 2:06 am

Busted knee and hand…..Cotto plus 6 times trainer of the year world famous Freddy Roach.! Cotto can’t go wrong with this! Martinez lose to Margacheater and Cotto beat Margacheater in a rematch plus Fighting the two top superstars, too much experience gives Cotto a good chance of whooping Martinez!

Posted June 7, 2014 1:55 am

Martinez by knockout or TKO!!!

Posted June 7, 2014 1:20 am

Yeh I think Martinez kills him. Cotto made all these rediculous demands SLIM. I can’t believe cotto gets 7 mill and Martinez only 1.5. Cotto has lost everytime he has stepped up. I like him but he really isn’t worth that much more!

Posted June 7, 2014 1:16 am

Schaffer can’t start his own stable till 2018 by then Oscar will have it sorted

Posted June 7, 2014 1:14 am

Like I said NEUTRAL CORNER, well into his 40th year. Thanks for the confirm

Posted June 7, 2014 12:48 am

Auz, most of the fighters in his stable are also managed by Al Hamon. Once Schaefer starts his company you will see all these guys move over. Golden Boy had a great run but when the face of your franchise can’t stay clean no one will want to run your company. If it wasn’t for Schaefer Golden Boy never would be what it was today and he is gone. It isn’t like Oscar has a lot of other friends like Schaefer.

Posted June 7, 2014 12:46 am

Get off Oscar’s dick…Lol. Just jokin Auz! Just watched the weigh-in. Cotto is gonna get his head knocked off!!!!

Posted June 7, 2014 12:24 am

Once again Oscar will appoint a new CEO and then take a back seat again. He has the best stable if fighters and always will

Anyone watching FNF tonight? Anyone think Oscar wasn’t stoned in that interview? I am pretty sure Teddy could tell. Even brought it up as the go out question. I feel for him because I think he will lose a lot if he doesn’t get himself clean but Golden Boy is going to be nothing here in a years time. I think in order for Oscar to get clean he will have to leave the business. Too much temptations in the boxing business.

Posted June 7, 2014 12:08 am

MYLES Actually, Martinez was 39 yr. old last February. Just thought I’d point it out.

Posted June 6, 2014 11:48 pm

If Martunez is at his best and cotto is at his best than I would have to go with Sergio by late stoppage, love Miguel cotto one of my favorite fighters but bad choice of opponent, I mean yea he has Freddy in his corner but cotto is the type that when he gets caught his bad habits come out so again maravilla by 11 tko

Posted June 6, 2014 11:21 pm

lol the size difference is not like Lewis-Tyson…. Cotto can bang with Martinez no doubt

Posted June 6, 2014 10:50 pm

Can’t believe Martinez is only getting paid 1.5 to cottos 7 mill. Martinez will kill cotto sadly

Posted June 6, 2014 10:41 pm

Cotto by decision. …or later round stoppage.

Posted June 6, 2014 10:35 pm

Get the age right Negro King. Martinez is not 38. He’s well into his 40th year.

Posted June 6, 2014 10:06 pm

Will Martinez float like a butterfly and sting like a bee? Why would he?

Cotto will float and flitter. Martinez will punch like a mule. I hope him uncorks the Paul Williams bomb and it connects with savage precision.

It would be a nice accomplishment to thump an ATG at age 39. Then on to GGG

Posted June 6, 2014 10:01 pm

The Negro King

Unless Martinez got old, (which is entirely possible, he is, after all 38) he should win by late round TKO or decision

Posted June 6, 2014 9:55 pm

Uphill battle for Cotto; he has to overcome size, reach, power & speed advantages by Martinez…Maravilla can win by TKO, KO or decision; Cotto can win by miracle.

Posted June 6, 2014 9:42 pm

I knock them both out

Posted June 6, 2014 9:38 pm

I like Cotto but I just don’t see him getting past Maravilla after failing against Trout and with Roach talking his usual crap about a KO I’m more convinced he’ll loose.

Posted June 6, 2014 9:34 pm

cotto is in HUGE ….trouble manana….he is going down, and down. HARD!!!!!!#

Posted June 6, 2014 9:32 pm

Martinez by tko, when cotto’s corner retire him after the 10th

Posted June 6, 2014 9:27 pm

Wrong PICK disciple. Get a life and own name as you are now BANISHED from the brotherhood! Martinez by SCINTILLATING. Stoppage!!

Posted June 6, 2014 9:17 pm

Martinez by stoppage

Posted June 6, 2014 8:57 pm

Argy bargy

Cottos got those clichéd tattoos that everybody’s got. He deserves to go Down on Martinez for his lack of originality.

I like both men but someone has to lose unless it’s a draw which is a possibility. I’m taking Martinez to win this one but it won’t be easy. Hopefully no one gets seriously injured.

Cotto’s defensive counter punching is slick against boxers. Late round stoppage by Cotto!

Posted June 6, 2014 7:19 pm

I keep picturing the left that Martinez threw to K.O. Paul Williams in their rematch (and what Williams looked like afterwards).

Martinez by stoppage.

I’d like Cotto to win, but feel that Martinez will pull out a UD.
