Donaire does have talent, and like all world champions, they all have a certain amount of time to fight at their best in their time. he’s already beaten some good fighters, but he’s never really been tested by guys that can handle his punch and match his skill level. A win over Mares, Rigondeaux or Moreno would definitely raise his stock. I recall Sugar Ray Leonard fighting guys, but never taking on the real tough or elite fighters, and then he took on Benitez, Duran, Hearns and the rest was history. Donaire has beaten enough of these guys. He’s getting older, and that window of opportunity to take on the top guys, while in his prime is closing. Arce is tough as nails, but realistically, he’s going to take a beating. Donaire has to fight the best in his era and in the divisions he’s fighting in to be considered one of the best.
